"You know, I didn't even ask you to help me move in. I asked Warrick." Sara said, surveying the boxes that littered her new apartment.
"But then he asked Nick, and Nick asked me. He also promised free beer." Greg said, frowning. "But now they're both 'sick'."
"Well, I do have beer." Sara said, making her way to her kitchen.
"You just moved in today and you've already stocked your kitchen?"
"It was going to be for later, when everyone was done moving in, but I think you deserve some now." Sara said, grabbing a beer from her new fridge and rummaging around in a half empty box.
"I've got it." Greg said, taking the beer. He gripped the top, twisted once, and the top came off.
"It never does that for me!" Sara said, amazed.
Greg laughed and took the beer out of her hands, popped the top off, and gave it back.
"You must think all lab rats are weaklings! Is that why you didn't invite me to help you move in?" Greg asked, leaning against the counter.
"No!" Sara replied. "I just wanted to completely move in before inviting you – uhm, anyone, really – over." She explained.
"Really?" Greg grinned. "Well, that's nice. But I don't mind seeing it messy."
"Maybe I didn't want you to."
"I didn't realize having a nice place was something you even thought about," Greg said, grinning. "You just don't seem like a housekeeping kind of woman."
"Maybe I wanted to cook a nice dinner, have a candle or two lit when you came over."
"That sounds suspiciously like a date." Greg said, stepping towards Sara.
"Imagine that." Sara said, leaning into Greg just a little bit.
"And now it sounds like you might be trying to flirt with me, telling me all about your dinner plans to seduce me." Greg put his arms on either side of Sara's body and leaned down so he was close to her face.
"Well, maybe that's what I wanted it to sound like." Sara said in barely a whisper.
Greg smiled down at her and leaned in completely, pressing his lips to Sara's momentarily.
"Sounds good to me," Greg muttered against her lips.
