Hello everyone, sorry that I haven't been updating. I am having problem making my stories.
It's nearly coming to Halloween so I made this fanfiction. This will take place after we help Donkey Kong in Donkey Kong Country Returns Tropical Freeze (I hadn't even make that fanfiction yet). I made this story when I was trying out Word on my new Laptop (I have it for a few years now). These are video games moments that scared me. I remember how scared I was when I played them.
Warning: Some spoilers for some games...and it may be scary. Also, I'm not good at describing things.

We're having a Halloween party. We are camping out in the Samurai Pizza Cats' world. We invited Knuckles, Cream, Cheese, Vector, Charmy, Espio, Mighty, Ray, Big (with Froggy), Shadow, Rouge, Omega (still can't believe we were able to invited these three to the party, I thought they will never come), Blaze, Silver, Marine (I still have no idea how we got them here when they are from different worlds to Sonic's), Francine, Lucille, General Catton, Bat Cat, Meowzma O' Tool, Spritz T. Cat, Launchpad, Honker, Morgana, Stegmutt, Neptunia, Dare-Tackle, Aero, Geo, Aura, Sola, blue bomberman, green bomberman, red bomberman, Max, the Star Fox team, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Toad, Toadette, Yoshi and Rosalina.
"Thanks for inviting me, DW," said Launchpad. "It's great to meet all your friends."
"Thanks Launchpad, I'm happy to meet you," I said.
"No problem. I can't wait to tell the others in Duckburg about this party."
"Duckburg?"
"It's in my world, next to my city. Launchpad is working for Scrooge McDuck," Darkwing explained.
"Yeah, luckily McDee gave me the day off to come to this party. This is so different to what I do on Halloween."
"What do you do on Halloween?" I asked Launchpad.
"I take McDee's nephews out for trick or treating."
"I never been on a trick or treat," I said.
"You kidding?! You missed out on the fun part of Halloween," said Quiverwing .
"Well…it's okay; I still got to dress up as a witch when I used to go to school."
"If I remember right, you brought a witch's hat and used a bin bag for a dress," said Crystal.
"It works," I replied.
"I just hope that this party won't get too crazy like that time when we had that party in our world," said Starry Bomber.
"Or that time when we had that party in our world," said Tails.
"What happened to your party in our world?" asked Ray.
"We had a Halloween party in a land called Mobius. You know, that land populated with animals. It was just me, Sonic, Amy, Darkwing, Crystal and Julie," said Tails. "Julie was still small and she was still learning."
"Yeah, I was still learning about everything," I said.
"It was late at night, we camped out just like this and we were telling scary stories about ghosts," said Tails. "We didn't know that Scratch, Grounder and Coconuts were spying on us. They came up with an idea to capture us. They were going to dress up as ghosts and scare us into a trap."
"It didn't help that we told scary ghost stories," said Amy. "We freaked out when we saw the ghosts. We all ran in different directions."
"Luckily, Sonic ran back to camp and found out that the ghosts were actually just Scratch, Grounder and Coconuts with white blanket sheets."
"Yeah, they were having way too much fun scaring us," said Sonic. He remembers how they were laughing their heads off.
"I wasn't scared, I was…looking…for…a flashlight. Yeah, I was looking for a flashlight to help us see in the dark," said Darkwing.
"Sure you were," Sonic teasingly said to Darkwing.
"Sonic heard their plan. He gathered us back together and told us what happened. We decided to give them a taste of their own medicine," said Tails. "We used fishing poles and hanged the white bed sheets at the end."
"And we made scary looking faces on those bed sheets," said Darkwing.
"We hid in the trees and used our handmade ghosts to scare them."
Sonic laughs, "You should have seen the looks on their faces! They were screaming and running everywhere!"
"Yeah, it was very funny!" Tails laughed. "We led them into their own trap and they ended up getting trap in their own cage."
"Yeah, that was really fun," I said.
"Sounds way better than our party in our worlds," said white bomberman.
"What happened in your world?" asked Daisy.
"It was all the bombermen, Julie, Sonic, Amy, Tails, Darkwing, Crystal, Speedy, Polly and Guido. We were having a Halloween party in town. That was until we noticed something weird was happening," said white bomberman. "The sky became cloudy with dark clouds and monsters shown up. We found out that we need to get this sword to free our world from this evil. The sword was on top of the tower. We also needed magical stones to help free the sword. We climbed up the tower, facing monsters like a bone dragon."
"You faced a bone dragon and beat it?! Keen gear!" said Quiverwing.
"There was another tower with a werewolf bomber, a mummy bomber and a vampire bomber," said black bomberman. "We had to get to the top of the tower and beat them."
White bomberman nods. "Yeah, we beaten all the monsters and freed the sword which saved our world."
Morgana comes in and serves her homemade foods she cooked. We all look at it.
"Is this edible?" asked Vector. He is poking his foods with his fork.
"Yes, it is edible. Go try it," said Darkwing.
"Are you just saying that just because Morgana is your girlfriend?" asked Sonic.
"No! I tried her foods and it's great!" Darkwing notices that Speedy is having a staring contest with his foods. "Come on you guys, try it!"
We reluctantly eat the foods. Darkwing was right, these foods do taste good. We happily ate our foods.
"We got to have this again for the next Halloween party," said white bomberman.
"I have to agree, this food is perfect for Halloween," said Fox.
"Now for the best part of Halloween; telling scary stories," said Quiverwing.
Luigi starts shaking nervously. "Oh no, is it a scary mansion with ghosts?"
"Oh yeah, with fake doors that slam you into the wall. We had to be careful with that," said black bomberman.
"Or a scary piano with teeth," said Mario.
"I remember that, I was very surprised to see a piano with teeth chasing after us," I said.
"What about this zombie movie I watched where the zombies win at the end?!" said Quiverwing.
"I thought I told you that you're not allowed to watch that!" shouted Darkwing.
"No thanks, I don't like that type of movie," I replied.
"You don't like anything like that, do you Julie?" Amy said to me.
"Too scary for me, I don't like zombies or redeads."
"I think you mean undeads," said Morgana.
"No, redeads."
"Oh yeah, those zombie-like things we fought when we were helping Link. I do not want to see them again," said Amy.
"What are the redeads?" Quiverwing asked.
"They are like zombies but are even scarier," Guido said in a scary tone of voice. "When they see you, they let out a horrifying scream that freezes you to the bone. It was so bad that it will freeze you in place. Then they slowly walk toward you and will try to choke you."
"Whoa, now that is scary!" said Quiverwing.
"Yeah, especially when they are after you," said Darkwing. He remembered how terrifying it was. "I bet something similar happened to that one villain."
"Which one?" I asked.
Darkwing tried to remember. "It was with…those guys…one of them was a princess, another one is an adventurer with a mouse, and the other guy was a weapon created in a form of a boy."
We look at Darkwing in confusion.
Darkwing tried really hard to remember. "One of the villains was a friend of the adventurer and another villain; we let him off because…I think it was because he was nice to this girl… And there was a big monster in a cocoon."
"I remember that," I said. "I think the adventurer was called Jack and the other guy was Ru…Ru…Rudy?"
"I remember that!" said Sonic.
"Remember the time we escaped the villains through some kind of portal. The villain that betrayed the monster in that cocoon, tried to take our friend Rudy down with him but failed."
"Yeah, that was bad. Oh and the monster in the cocoon was called Mother," I said.
"I can't believe you actually remember that monster's name!" said Darkwing.
"I remember the other villains called her that," I replied.
"Remember when we next meet them. That villain was merged with Mother. We beat them and tried to escape."
I know what Darkwing is talking about. I carry on with the story, "But then we faced with that villain who tried to stop us, the one who betrayed Mother. I remembered that he didn't say nice things about Mother."
"Exactly, he doesn't like Mother but how did they merged with each other?"
"So what you are saying is that Mother merged with the villain against his will," said Guido.
Darkwing nods his head. "That's right! Can't you imagine it, the villain was weaken by the fight with us, then he was thrown through the portal and sent to where Mother was. In the dark place, Mother was reveal to be alive but barely. She crawled closer and closer until-"
I jump in fright. "Ahhhh, that's scary!"
Cream and Cheese are hugging Amy and Blaze. "Julie is right, that is scary," said Cream.
"Don't worry, Cream, Cheese. We beaten those bad guys so they will never hurt anyone again," Amy reassured them.
"That's a relief," said Cream.
"You know, that could have happened. We don't know for sure," said Speedy.
"All that matter is that we beaten them," said white bomberman.
"That was so scary, let's do another one!" said Quiverwing. She turns to me. "Julie, you love playing video games. Is there a game that is very scary? A horror game, you're old enough to play them."
"She is but she doesn't like horror," said Starry Bomber.
"Yeah, I get scared too easily. I hate getting scared. I hate horror games and movies. I don't like the gruesome stuffs and I always get very sad when the bad guys win or when good people get…you know…when the bad guys get rid of the good guys."
"Yeah, we know," said Polly.
"There is one game that scared me. I stopped playing it because of it."
"What it is?!" Quiverwing asked me.
"The main character was a boy who can turn into a dragon. This was the fifth game in the series."
"You played the others?" asked Speedy.
"Nope, I only played the third one. I only heard about the fourth game. The fifth game…ruined the whole series…that's what I think."
"Why's that?" asked Bat Cat.
"The previous games were…how can I explain this? It was light…I mean…the art styles were bright and colourful. The fifth game was dark…very dark. The story…was not like the previous games where the stories were…hmm...deep but not too dark. I did not like how they changed it to a very dark story! At the beginning, you see the main character with his best friend."
"What's wrong with that?" asked Darkwing.
"You'll find out, now where was I…oh yeah!" I try to make my voice sounds scary for the next part. "The main character got separated from his best friend on one of the missions. They were to protect the cargo. Next, the main character found a girl who was getting kidnap. He rescued the girl and they travel around to get back to his home. They eventually met the main character's best friend."
"That's good," said Amy.
"No, that's bad."
"Huh?"
"The main character's best friend stabbed him in the throat with a sword!" I said. I was feeling angry just thinking about it.
"What?!" Everyone shouted.
Why would he do that?!" asked Amy, shocked.
"With friends like that; who need enemies," said Darkwing.
"He was a selfish boy who only cares for himself. He did that because he wanted to complete the mission and get promoted. It seemed that the girl was part of that mission. But because of what he done, it caused the main character to turn into a dragon."
"A big dragon?!" asked Quiverwing.
"No…how can I say this…part boy, part dragon."
"That's even better!" said Quiverwing.
"The main character beaten the bad guys and escaped with the girl. There were also hidden cutscenes in the game that can be unlocked using this special save features, one of them was when the main character's best friend was back in their headquarter. One of the other boys made a joke about the mission that the main character's best friend failed. He was not happy about the joke and ended up cutting the hand off of the boy."
"He cut off the hand because of that joke?!" shouted Vector. "Remind me to never joke around with him."
"Yeah, it doesn't' help that he has a horrible father. In another of the cutscenes, his father trained him in fighting."
"And…?" asked Rouge.
"His father left his son to fight a big monster ten times his size!"
"That's going a bit overboard," said red bomberman.
"A bit?! He went way overboard! Did I forget to mention that the boy was just about six years old when he done that training?"
"Mamma mia, parents should not do that!" shouted Mario.
"I agree with you there, Mario. Anyway, the boy was so scared and asked his father for help, but the father said that he can do it. At the end, the boy defeated the monster by himself but he looked…traumatized."
"I don't blame him," said Falco.
"I think it's because of his upbringing is the reason why he is like that. Later, he went to see a scientist to help him get stronger. He wanted to become powerful than his best friend and he would do anything to do it. The scientist told him the dangers of the experiment. When the main character next meets his best friend…he was different. At first, you can't tell as he looked normal but when he fully turned to face you, half of his face and body were like a monster. He turned into part boy and part monster."
"And that is when you shut it off," said Speedy.
"I wish I did. After winning the battle, the boy fell down. The main character tried to save him but was too late. The next part is where I stopped playing it. The boy survived but only barely. His monster hand reached up to the sky. It has a mind of its own. The monster realized that the boy they faced was a dragon. It wanted to beat the dragon." I take a deep breath and said in a scary tone of voice, "And then suddenly, the monster's hand dived down and stabbed the boy's throat!"
Everybody jump when I shouted that last part out.
"Exactly what I did when I saw that, I didn't expect that to happen so it really scared me," I said to the others.
"But…but wouldn't that…?" said Polly.
"I think the monster wanted to take over the boy's body and to do that he needed to get rid of the boy."
"What happen next?!" again, Quiverwing is asking the question.
"I don't know I shut the game off after that. I couldn't play it since the gameplay is so difficult. And I didn't like it because I was on a time limit."
"You hate time limit; it makes you panic," said Amy.
"You must have been so scared," said Cream.
"Nah," I replied. "…Maybe for a few seconds but that's it."
"I remember the time you were shaking in fear, literally," said Sonic.
"When was that?!" I asked. I don't remember ever being that scared.
"You were so scared that you were shaking and you couldn't move. You were also holding a blanket."
"I don't remember that!" I said to Sonic.
"Tell us, tell us!" Quiverwing shouted.
"I still don't remember that," I said.
"It's a long story so I'll just get to that certain part." Sonic starts the story, trying to sound scary, "It was after we escaped from the Shinra's building-"
"Now I remember, not that!" I said.
Sonic carries on with the story, "Shinra, an evil corporation, was sucking the life out of the planet. The only things they cared about were money and power. We tried to stop them but we found out that someone has got rid of the president of Shinra. We didn't know much about this person, all we know was that his name was Sephiroth and he used to be the most powerful soldier of Shinra. We met up in Kalm to rest and find out more about him. Cloud told us his tale of how he met him."
"Why are we talking about a fluffy white cloud?" Charmy asked us.
"No, not that! That's the name of our friend we helped out," I said to him.
"Oh," said Charmy.
Sonic continues, "Cloud met him when he was in Soldier-"
"Not," Darkwing said quietly.
Sonic heard it. "Darkwing, I'm trying to tell the story just like the time when we first heard it. Don't spoil it for them."
"Okay."
"Cloud has been on several missions with Sephiroth and he got to know him. But on that fateful mission, they were sent to Nibelheim which was Cloud's hometown. On their way, they encountered a dragon!"
"Is that all?!" asked Knuckles, disappointed that Sonic came up with that.
"No, I haven't got to the scary part yet. This dragon was so powerful that it would have taken several strong soldiers to beat it but Sephiroth beaten it with just one sword slash."
"One sword slash?!" shouted Vector.
"He's that powerful?!" asked Stegmutt.
"Yes, that powerful," Sonic replied. "They made it to the town. Sephiroth asked Cloud about his hometown. Sephiroth was really curious as he doesn't have a hometown. He doesn't even know his mother. All he was told was that his mother was called Jenova."
"Which is a lie," said Kat. She sounds like she was annoyed.
"How do you know that?!" asked Fox, he thought that Kat shouldn't know this as she wasn't there when we went to that world.
"We'll explain later," white bomberman said to Fox.
"They went into the inn to rest. Sephiroth recognized the town even though he never been in this town before. They went up to the mountain with the help of their tour guide. It turned out the tour guide was Cloud's childhood friend Tifa. They went up the mountain, going through dangerous areas, falling off the bridge, and having one of their guards going missing. They eventually made it to the reactor. Cloud and Sephiroth went inside to investigate the problem. They found the problem and fixed it. However, Sephiroth looked inside the pod and discovered something very disturbing. He asked Cloud to look inside it. Cloud saw a monster inside the pod. The monster was once human but due to the failed experiment, was turned into a monster."
"You're making this up!" Knuckles said to Sonic. He sounds like he was a little scared.
"No, he is not making this up. This is exactly how this story goes," said Speedy.
"I wish I was," said Sonic. "It gets worse. Sephiroth discovered a name on top of a door at the back of the reactor. It spelled Jenova."
"Isn't that the name of his mother?" asked Max.
Sonic nods his head. "Sephiroth figured it all out. He was created in an experiment involving Jenova."
"Created?! You mean he was made?!" asked Blaze.
I was holding my coat tightly.
"Yes, Sephiroth was not happy when he found out the truth. Then all of a sudden, the faulty pod opened and the monster inside it came out and screamed out in pain."
I start to shake in fear. I remember when Cloud told us that story; I was very scared.
"Hey Julie, are you okay?!"
"Huh?!" I wasn't aware that they were talking to me. I look at my friends and notice their worry looks on their faces. "I'm okay. This is exactly what I did when I first heard this story from Cloud." I smile at them to show them that I'm okay. "The only difference is that I'm not on the bed or holding a blanket." I tried to make it sounds funny but I don't think it works. "Just carry on."
"Okay Julie, just tell us and we'll stop the story," Sonic said, still a bit worry about me.
"I'll be fine, go ahead."
Sonic continues with the story, "They returned to town where Sephiroth locked himself inside the Shinra mansion. Cloud went to find him. He found him inside the secret underground lab. Sephiroth was reading all the books about the experiment. Learning the truth, he began to hate all the humans. He blamed them for what happened to his mother and himself. After a week, he came out and set the whole town on fire."
"Oh no!" cried Cream. She and Cheese are still hugging on to Amy and Blaze.
"He slashed down everyone in town. Cloud came out to see his whole town on fire. When he looked at Sephiroth, he can only see madness in his eyes. Sephiroth went through the fire and made his way toward the reactor to collect his mother. Cloud went to follow him. He saw Tifa who was sad that her father was gone. She wanted revenge so she took Sephiroth's sword and chased him down. When she finally found him, she tried to cut him down only for Sephiroth to overpower her and cut her down."
"Oh no, that's so horrible!" cried Lucille.
Me, Sonic, Tails, Amy, Darkwing, Crystal, white bomberman, black bomberman, Starry Bomber, Speedy, Guido, Polly, General Catton, Bat Cat, Meowzma O' Tool, Spritz T. Cat and Francine see that Lucille is getting very emotional. "Uh oh!" we all said. We try to calm her down.
"Don't worry Lucille, Tifa is fine. We met her and she's okay," Polly reassured her.
"That's good to hear," said Lucille who is now calm down.
We breathe out in relief. The others look at us in confusion.
"Lucille has a tendency to fire missiles when she gets too emotional," Amy told them.
"Yeah, do not want to get into that mess," said Darkwing.
"I'm ready to hear the next part now," said Lucille.
"You're sure about that, it might get scary," Guido said to Lucille.
"Yes, I'm sure," Lucille replied.
"Okay then." Sonic carries on with the story, "Cloud came in and saw what happened. He carried Tifa to a safe place and went into the room that has Jenova in it. He came in just in time to see Sephiroth pulling out a statue, revealing an ugly Jenova inside the tank. Cloud shouted at Sephiroth. He was not happy that Sephiroth destroyed his home and hurt his friend. They were face to face with their swords ready…"
"And then they fought each other?" asked Vector.
"No, that's it," said Sonic.
"What?!" our friends shouted. It feels like the whole place shakes when they all shouted.
"You can't stop now, what happen next?!" Aero asked.
"Cloud couldn't remember, he doesn't know what happened," Sonic explained.
"You have got to be kidding me!" Dare-Tackle complained.
"You got to tell us!" shouted Vector.
"Yeah, you can't leave it like that, matey!" said Marine.
"That's what happened to us and we had to wait for ages till we find out the truth," said Sonic.
"Can't you tell us the rest now?!" said Spritz T. Cat.
"In short, Cloud's memories were fakes and he eventually found his real memories. Cloud was the one to beaten Sephiroth back then. We found out that Sephiroth had a very crazy plan-"
"You mean insane," Darkwing said to Sonic.
"And we helped Cloud and the others to defeat Sephiroth and stopped his insane plan."
"It's good to know that his plan didn't succeed," said Peach.
"I think it's getting late now, we need to get back home," said Honker.
We look at the time and see that it is indeed very late.
"Honker is right, we need to get back home and get some sleep," said Darkwing.
"This is the best Halloween party I had so far!" said Quiverwing.
"Aye, you only saying that because you got lots of sweets from trick and treating," said Marine.
"And I get to have this party with my friends. You all got sweets too from trick or treating," replied Quiverwing.
"Yeah, that was fun. It was well worth it to see Shadow's face when that lady gave him candies and mistaking him for a kid in a costume," Sonic laughed.
Shadow looks away. "Hmph."
"Don't' eat all the sweets, they're bad for your teeth," I said.
"Come on everyone, time to go back home," said Peppy.
We all said goodbye and went back to our homes. It was a fun Halloween party and I really enjoyed it with my friends.
I hope you guys enjoy this. Can you guess which games I used? I made references to Pocket Bomberman, Luigi's Mansion, Mario 64 and the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I also made a reference to the cartoon the Adventure of Sonic the Hedgehog. The stories we were describing were Wild Arms, Breath of Fire 5 and Final Fantasy 7.
