Hello everybody, I was about to add this chapter yesterday but got sidetracked (cough, Splatfest, cough). Sorry for the wait and I hope you enjoy this.
Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters, I just play the game and imagined myself in it (I have a wild imagination).
Warning: Might be some mistakes (I tried really hard to proofread this), and you might get confused with the words I used (I had limited vocabulary when I was a 10 years old kid that had problem reading).
I'm walking in a jungle and find a big monkey that just jumps in front of me. He is wearing a red tie. He goes inside the hole in the wall. I follow him in. The big monkey covers his eyes with his hand and shakes his head. I don't know what is going on but it looks like the big monkey is very sad. There is nothing in here. We go out and I look around. I see a house high up. I wonder what's in there. The big monkey grabs me and takes me up into the house. Inside are car wheels, bed, table and lots of bananas. I see pictures on the wall. I think the picture of the girl monkey is the big monkey's girlfriend. I find out the big monkey name is Donkey Kong and this is his house. He jumps on the car wheel on the floor and bounces up to get a red balloon. The red balloon looks like Donkey Kong's head. We jump out of the house. Donkey Kong goes up on top of the trees. He collects bananas that are flying about. He jumps straight down where he hits the floor. A metal barrel comes out of the floor that Donkey Kong hits. I can hear something banging. I can also hear something calling out. I look and see a wooden barrel with the letter 'DK' on it. The sound is coming from that barrel. Donkey Kong grabs the barrel and throws it to the floor. A small monkey wearing a red hat and top comes out of the barrel. I find out that he is Diddy Kong and he is best friend with Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong is telling Diddy Kong something. I follow Diddy Kong into the hole in the wall. Diddy Kong throws his hat to the floor and jumps on it several times. He looks very angry. I still don't know what's going on.
We go back out where we see Donkey Kong with the metal barrel. Donkey Kong throws the metal barrel at the wall. The metal barrel bounces off the wall and back at Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong jumps on the metal barrel and rides on top of it. That looks fun, I really like that! We follow Donkey Kong across the jungle. Donkey Kong rolls down the beaver bad guys and the crocodile bad guys with the metal barrel. Me and Diddy Kong grab the golden square with a 'K' on it. We see Donkey Kong rolling down the big crocodile bad guys wearing helmet. Donkey Kong rolls past the barrel with white things on it. Me and Diddy Kong grab a golden square with a 'O' on it. We then beat a bird that throws things at us and collect a golden bird statue. We can beat the bad guys by jumping on their heads. We find a box with a picture of a rhino head on it. Diddy Kong jumps on the box to open it. There's a rhino inside that box. Me and Diddy Kong jump on the rhino and ride it. We follow Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong gets a golden square with a 'N' on it and finds a secret place. The metal barrel he was on crashes into the wall and makes a hole. We all go into the hole. There are lots of bananas in this dark cave and no bad guys. At the end of this cave is a red balloon. We come out of the wall and onto the top of the tree. We get the golden square with a 'G' on it. All four of these golden squares make the word KONG. The rhino beats the bad guys by running into them with his horn. We make it to the end where we go inside the cave. It is getting dark outside as we go inside.
We go out the other side where it is dark and raining a lot. The rhino we were on went back home. There are thunder and lightning. We beat an armadillo bad guy. This bad guy needs to be hit twice; one time to stop him rolling and the second time to beat him. There are more crocodile bad guys in this place. We find a dangerous TNT barrel that blows up when you throw it at something. We use it to blow up the other armadillo bad guy. The TNT barrel is very powerful that it will beat any bad guy with one hit. Donkey Kong helps me to climb up the rope. We go on top of the trees and beat another armadillo bad guy. We go across the trees and back onto land where we beat the crocodile bad guys. We can also beat them by throwing barrels at them. We can find empty barrels around the place. We swing on the rope and get a golden rhino statue. We swing across another rope to the top of the trees. We also collect the four golden squares that are in different places. We swing across anther rope onto land where we hit the barrel with white things on it. We throw away the TNT barrel and swing across the ropes over the bad guys. It is getting hard to see in the dark and in the rain. It is raining a lot. I can hear lots of buzzing as we get close to the end of this place. It sounds like bees. The rain stops and the sun comes out as soon as we make it to the end.
We go to a house where we meet with an old monkey in a chair. He talks about lots of secrets that he can find, and that Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong haven't found all the secret places. He even tells us where we can find one of these secret places. He also hits Donkey Kong with his stick. Donkey Kong covers his head when he does that. The old monkey is Cranky Kong and I think he and Donkey Kong are father and son. After saying goodbye to Cranky Kong, we go to the next place which is a cave.
There are snakes on the floor that we can beat by jumping on them. The crocodile bad guys in here jump a lot. We beat the bad guys and carry on forward. We jump on the car wheel on the floor and find a barrel with what looks like a white star on it. We jump in and the barrel shoots us upward. We find a secret place with lots of those barrels. We jump in the barrel and get shot out into another barrel. We go from barrel to barrel, collecting bananas in the air. We get sent to the other side of this secret place where we get out through the hole. We fall back down and carry on forward. We follow the path down where we get attack by jumping crocodile bad guys. Donkey Kong gets hit by the jumping crocodile bad guy and runs off. I try to follow him but the jumping crocodile bad guys stop me. I have to run back to avoid them. Diddy Kong beats the jumping crocodile bad guys by jumping on their heads. It is easier to jump on them when the jumping crocodile bad guys are on the floor and not in the air. We go forward and jump on the car wheel to the top floor. I look around but couldn't find Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong looked really hurt when he got hit by the bad guys. He must have run away because he was scared of getting hit. There are bees in our way. We can't beat the bees because they have spikes all over their body. Also, touching them will sting you. We carefully jump over them and crawl under through the small hole. We find another barrel with white things on it. We jump over another bee using the car wheels on the floor. We collect the golden 'N' square over the bee and keep going until I hear something. It is banging and shouting. We jump up using the car wheel and find an empty barrel and a DK barrel. Donkey Kong is inside that DK barrel. Diddy Kong picks up the DK barrel and throws it. The DK barrel breaks and Donkey Kong comes out. I am happy to see him. We all use the car wheel to jump over the bee and get to the top floor. We go through the small hole and beat the jumping crocodile bad guys. There's a golden fish high up but we can't jump high enough to get it. We carry on forward, beating snakes and jumping crocodiles. I have lots of fun jumping on all that car wheels near the end of this place.
The next place is underwater. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong help me to swim through this place as I can't swim. There are lots of fish bad guys that swim toward us. We can't do much underwater so we swim out of their way. We have to swim carefully around the place to avoid these spinning fish bad guys. We find a swordfish that helps us to swim faster. He can also beat the bad guys using his sword nose. While going up, we got hit by a shark bad guy. The swordfish swims away, leaving us. We quickly follow the swordfish through the wall where we find a secret place. We get back on the swordfish and collect the bananas and a golden bird. I have no idea how I was able to hold my breath for so long. We quickly make our way to the end. We are back on land and I can breathe now. I am not very good with underwater.
The next place we meet with a cool monkey call Funky Kong. He wears sunglasses and holds a surf board. He tells us useful things and lets us use his plane to fly to anywhere we have been to. We go to the next place where we are back in the jungle. We go into an opened barrel which shoots us very high up. We fall back down where we hit the floor. A barrel comes out of the floor that we hit. We throw the barrel at the bad guy. We go forward, beating any bad guys that get in our way and collecting bananas. We find these crocodile bad guys that don't move and only jump. We can easily beat them without getting hurt. We have to use the barrels to cross this very big place with no floor. The barrels we go in move up and down. We have to time it right so that we go into another barrel without hitting the bees. We also don't want to fall down as it's a long way down. We make it to the other side where we beat the bad guys and go to the next place.
We meet with Donkey Kong's girlfriend who is called Candy Kong. She blows a kiss at Donkey Kong. She really likes Donkey Kong. She says we can use her save barrel to save our current game. If something bad happens then we can also come back here to try again. We go to the next place where we fight a very big beaver. He is very very big. He keeps jumping left to right and right to left. We jump on top of him. The big beaver just laughs. We move out of his way as he jumps toward us. We keep jumping on top of him. After jumping on him several times, the big beaver falls down. A very big banana falls down in front of us. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong are very happy. Donkey Kong claps his hands and gives me a thump up and then raises his hands up. Diddy Kong throws his hat in the air three times while giving me a wink.
We move to the next area where we go in a mine. It is very dark in here. It's a good thing there are lights in here or we won't be able to see. We jump on top of this flying bird to get to a box. This box has a picture of a frog face. We open it and find a green and red frog. This frog can jump really high. We can collect things that are high up. The frog moves by jumping. We jump over a dangerous looking grey barrel. This grey barrel is spitting out bad guys. We can't destroy the grey barrel. We easily get into the barrel with a star which is very high up. As I said before, the frog can jump really high. We collect lots of bananas and the golden 'N' in this secret area. I find out that when you collect three of the same golden animals, you get a bonus where the animals collect lots of little golden statues to get lots of 1-ups. It all depend which golden animals you collected. We collected three golden birds so the bird animal does the bonus game for us. He is an ostrich who can fly in the air. He can't fly up but can fly slowly down. He also runs very fast. There is a secret area in this bonus game. If the ostrich flies all the way to the right and go over the very big wall, he'll find a very big golden ostrich statue that will give him lots of small golden statues. There must be secret areas in all the animal bonus stages. We go back to this place and carry on toward the other side of the mine. It is a lot easier using the frog as we jump over most of the bad guys.
In the next place we ride the car on the track. The car we are in can jump. We need to jump to collect bananas and jump over broken tracks. If we don't jump over broken tracks, we'll fall down. It is a fast ride going up and down and jumping over the broken tracks. We make it to the barrel with the white things on it. We need to jump over the broken cars that are on the track. We accidentally crash into one which makes Diddy Kong runs away. I want to go after him but the car keeps going. Donkey Kong takes over and makes sure we safely get to the other side. There are crocodile bad guys riding the cars at us. We avoid them by jumping over them. We did a lot of jumping to avoid the bad guys, broken cars and the broken tracks. We make it to the end.
We go into a dark cave. There are more bad guys in here. We find a car wheel that we can move. We push the car wheel into a small hole and into the wall. We can't push it anymore. We beat the jumping crocodile bad guys and use the car wheel to get the golden square 'K'. We avoid the bee and jump over the hole in the floor. I can hear Diddy Kong in the DK barrel in the air. We jump into it and free Diddy Kong. We carefully go past all the bad guys while moving another car wheel. We use the car wheel to jump to very high places. We find a cave that has the frog in it. We ride the frog through the dark cave. The frog is very good as he can jump on bees without getting hurt. The frog can still get hurt if the bad guys jump on top of him. The jumping crocodile bad guys jump on us and make us lose the frog. The frog runs away as soon as we get hit. We go after him but we can't find him anymore. We carefully jump on very small platforms with car wheel while avoiding the bees that move above them. There is a barrel high up in the air that takes us to a secret place. To get to it, we need to push the car wheel onto the very small moving platform. If we not careful, we might accidentally push the car wheel into the hole. We make it to the barrel and get into this room full of bananas and flying car wheels. We collect most of the bananas before we fall back down in front of the exit.
I don't like this next place. It isn't the small crocodiles with big mouth. It's the big rock things that you can't beat. Donkey Kong tries to jump on one of them and he gets hurt and runs away. To stop these bad guys you need to hit the barrels that have the green word 'GO' on them. When you hit them, they'll turn into red word 'STOP'. This turns the whole place red colour and makes the rock things turn into rock. It only last for a few minutes before the barrels turn back to the green 'GO'. The whole place turns green colour and the rock things get back up and run around quickly. Me and Diddy Kong quickly run through this place, hitting all the barrels and beating the small crocodile bad guys. We find Donkey Kong inside the DK barrel. They clap their hands together whenever they want to go first. We break the barrel with white things on it. We use the car wheel to jump high up to hit the GO barrel. We quickly jump across the small platforms that have the rock things on them. We make it to the other side before the place turns back to green. Near the end of this place we have to quickly hit the GO barrels to keep turning this place red as it doesn't last too long. We miss one of the GO barrels. Donkey Kong gets hit by the rock thing and runs away. Diddy Kong pulls me and we quickly run to the exit.
We go to Candy Kong to save our game and go past Funky Kong's place. We go to the next place which is in a building. There are these very strong looking crocodile bad guys. We try to hit them but they just laugh at us. We jump over them and run away. We can't do anything to them and we can't beat them. There are very big wheels moving up and down. Inside the very big wheels are beavers. The beavers are moving the wheels by running inside them. Some of these wheels move left and right. They usually move in the air so we can use the small holes on the floor to avoid them. There is a way to beat the very strong crocodile bad guys; we can knock them out using the TNT barrels. Diddy Kong found one and used it to beat one of the very strong crocodile bad guys. We find Donkey Kong in the DK barrel. We hit the barrel with the white things on it. We find a car wheel hiding inside the floor. It's a good thing we jump from a high place or we won't be able to get it. We use the car wheel to get to the top platform. We wait for the big wheel to go down and we quickly jump across. We find the box with the frog in it. The frog can easily jump over the big wheels. We have to watch our heads when we go into the small holes. The big wheel hits us on the head and the frog runs away. The frog just runs left and right in the small hole. We get back on and carry on forward. We lose the frog when we try to jump up to the high floor. There is a big wheel in the way and we tried to get through by going under the wheel. We aren't quick enough so the big wheel hits us when it comes down. We make it to the high floor but the frog runs away. We make it to the exit.
I really like Cranky Kong. He tells us all about video games. I tell him all about the games I played like this game where you controlled this squirrel. You can throw nuts when you have some and you have to jump from platform to platform. There's this move where you can beat bad guys by pressing down and then pressing the attack button. This makes the squirrel do a tail attack. It took me a while to get to the end. I used the password to get to the level that I was on before I turn the game off. To get to the ice level, the password is pizza. I didn't know the ice level was the last level. I really like the music on the first and last levels.
And then there was this game which was about the cartoon cat and bird. You controlled the cat and had to catch the bird. You can only catch the bird at the very end of the levels. You can try to catch the bird to get points. You had to avoid the dog and the old woman who will hit you if you get close to them. There's the little cat who will point his dad to the right place. He will look very sad if his dad gets hurt and really happy when his dad beats the dog. I imagined me and my friends as the bird and the bad guys as the cat. The bad guys will chase after us and we will try to run away from them. And the good guys as the dog, trying to stop the bad guys from getting us. At the end, the cat and bird were on the land with lots of water around them. The cat kept chasing the bird and the bird kept flying away from the cat. I pretended to be the bird and jumped around on the bed when I watched that.
Donkey Kong pulls on me as it is time to go. We go to the next place where we fight a very big bird. We stay in the middle of the room where there is a car wheel on the floor. We use the car wheel to jump really high. The big bird spits out rocks at us. He will spit a rock at us and goes back. He comes back in and spits another rock before moving back. He can come from the left or from the right. He also comes in low near the floor or high up in the air. We need to use the car wheel to jump high enough to hit the bird on the head and to avoid the rocks. After several hits, the bird falls down and a very big banana comes down in front of us. The bird shouts as he tries to get back up. He couldn't get back up.
We go to the next place which is full of trees. There are a lot of birds in here. The small birds spit rocks at us and the big birds throw rocks on us. We have to use the barrels to get across big holes on the floor. We also have to jump onto the flying birds in order to make the jump to the other sides. Near the end are bees flying side to side. There's a bee at the top and a bee at the bottom. We have to time it right so that we jump through the middle of the bees. We have to use the barrels to get past them. We accidentally hit the bees which make Diddy Kong runs away. Donkey Kong quickly grabs me and we get into the next barrel. We jump through the middle of the bees that are moving up and down, and make it to the end.
We are high up in the trees where there are treehouses. We find Diddy Kong in the DK barrel that is flying in the air. We jump in the barrel and fly out of it and into the DK barrel. We get Diddy Kong back and carry on across the trees. We need to use more barrels to get across the top of the trees. We get attack by bird bad guys and by lots of beaver bad guys. We keep using lots of barrels in this place to get to the other side. After we make it to the end, we can go two ways. One way will take us to Funky Kong where we can fly to anywhere we have been to. The other way will take us forward through more trees.
Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong know that I am not very good with climbing on rope. Donkey Kong carries me on his back. I hold on to Donkey Kong as we use the moving ropes to get to the other sides. We fight jumping crocodile bad guys and get attack by bees. The red bees are more dangerous than the yellow bees. I really don't like being very close to the bees. I know that bees will string and that it will hurt a lot. I don't know how much it will hurt but I know it will hurt a lot. And the buzzing noise makes my ears go funny and that is not good. I keep holding onto Donkey Kong as we climb up and down the moving rope through lots of bees. I try to put my head on Donkey Kong's back to cover my ears. I really don't like the noise they are making. It feels like they are going to string me. The next part isn't so bad as the birds don't make those buzzing noises and you can beat the birds by jumping on top of them. We move up and down on the moving rope to avoid lots of birds that are flying toward us. I can now get down from Donkey Kong's back as we can just jump our way across the steps floors while beating the jumping crocodile bad guys.
We go into the building where we beat the little beaver bad guys. There is a beaver bad guy inside the very big wheel at the top. As soon as we go under that wheel, the beaver bad guy moves the wheel right at us. He chases us down with the big wheel. I look back and see him chasing us. We all quickly run away from him. We got away from him by jumping over the hole in the floor. We jump up to the high floor and swing across the rope. I see another big wheel in front of us. I am still tired from running so fast. Donkey Kong puts me on his back again. We quickly run across, avoiding the bad guys and swinging across the ropes. We make it to the big hill where we climb up the rope and over the hill. The big wheel stops at the big hill. We beat the jumping crocodile bad guys and carry on forward where we find another big wheel. This one is on the floor. We use the rope to go over the big wheel. The big wheel chases us again. We quickly run across, jumping over holes and avoiding the bees in the holes. We see bananas pointing downward into the hole. It must means something. We follow the bananas arrow and find a secret barrel that sends us into a bonus stage.
We need to jump on the small big mouth crocodile bad guy, and collect the bananas that he spits out without getting hit by him. I didn't do good as I get hit by the small crocodile. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong are very good at this and win the bonus game. We fall down onto the over side of the hole. We jump over the big hill by bouncing on the car wheel on the floor. We beat the jumping crocodile bad guys and find another big wheel in front of us. We use the car wheel on the floor to bounce over the big wheel. We quickly run across as the big wheel chases us. We use the car wheels on the small platforms to get over the big hole in the floor. The big wheel stops chasing us when he falls into the small hole in the floor. We find another big wheel at the bottom. We jump over him and quickly run up the steps. We get hit by the jumping crocodile bad guys that are jumping down on us. Donkey Kong runs away when we get hit. Me and Diddy Kong quickly run over to the exit. Diddy helps me to climb the rope to the end.
We go over to Candy Kong where we save our game. We go on top of the trees in the next place. We hear Donkey Kong shouting in the DK barrel on the floor. We break the barrel to get Donkey Kong out. It starts to get dark. I can see the sun going down. We beat the crocodile bad guys as we go across the top of the trees. We find the box which has the ostrich. We ride the ostrich across the trees until we get hit by the barrel. The ostrich runs away when we get hit. I chase after the ostrich but stop when I see another monkey. This monkey throws a barrel at me. Donkey Kong quickly grabs me and we jump over the barrel. Diddy Kong jumps on top of the monkey and beats him. That monkey is a bad guy. He looks really mean. We carry on forward on top of the trees, beating the monkey bad guys and the crocodile bad guys. We go into the cave at the end.
We go to Cranky Kong where he tells us more about the games he played. He even has this game which he called Game and Watch. This looks like a game I used to play a lot. Me and my family were waiting in the restaurant and I play this game that was on two screens. It is a pirate game where you have to move to different places to collect points. I play the Game and Watch with Cranky. At first it is hard but I soon learn how to play it. I get lots of point. Cranky says something about me being very good with video games and that I am better than Donkey Kong. Does Donkey Kong play video games? We have lots of fun playing on the Game and Watch. I look and see Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong coming back. Did they leave? I didn't notice as I was playing on the Game and Watch. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong take me to Funky Kong where we fly the plane barrel pass the water and onto the hill.
I keep far away from a very big bee that is flying around. I didn't want to get string by him. To beat him, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong need to use the barrels to hit him. After he gets hit, he turns red and flies up and down very quickly. He flies around Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong and tries to hit them. When he is red, he can't get hurt. Donkey Kong tries to throw a barrel at him but it does nothing to him. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have to avoid him by running under him when the bee flies high. After a while, he turns back to yellow and flies back around the place. After hitting him several times, the bee falls down and a big banana falls in front of us.
We go to the top where we go to a place full of snow. We beat the bad guys that get in our way as we go forward. Everything goes dark. We keep going forward, using the barrels to get to the other side of the hole. It starts to snow. We carry on and then it starts to snow a lot that I can't see through the falling snows. Donkey Kong carries me again as we jump from platform to platform. I can't see properly because of all the snow. I can hear buzzing as we shoot out of the barrels.
We make it to the next place which is inside the cave. It is very bright and shiny in here. I follow Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong as they beat the crocodile bad guys. These blue ropes are easy to climb. You just hold onto it and the ropes will make you move upward. I can easily do that. The purple ropes make you go down when you hold onto them. Donkey Kong has to help me to climb up the two blue ropes. There are bees in the way and you need to jump between the blue ropes to avoid them. I can't jump properly so Donkey Kong helps me out. Next we need to jump across the ropes quickly. If we hold onto them too long, the ropes will send us into the bees at the end of the ropes. It gets very dangerous in the next part as we need to climb up the blue rope, past the moving bees. We have to time it right so that the bees will miss us as we go up. Near the end, we have to climb up the two purple ropes. The problem is that the purple ropes make you go down not up. We need to go up not down. Donkey Kong carries me and we go up by jumping between the two purple ropes lots and lots of times. We keep doing that until we make it to the top.
We go out of the cave. It is still snowing a lot. As we move forward, the snow starts to slowly fall. I can now see properly. We jump onto the birds and get into a barrel. We go to the bonus stage where we shoot out of the barrel into another barrel. In the middle is a gold ostrich statue and bananas around it. We find the ostrich in the box at the far end of the bonus stage. We didn't ride long on the ostrich as the small bird hits us with a rock. The ostrich runs away and we can't get him back. We beat the bad guys and swing across ropes. Those monkey bad guys are also here, throwing barrels at us. We just jump over the barrels and beat up the bad monkeys. We make it across and go into the water.
I really don't like the water stages. We quickly swim across as fish bad guys chase after us throughout this place. There are also jellyfishes swimming across. It would be easy to swim quickly if we have the swordfish. We do get the swordfish near the end of this stage. It's a good thing because there are lots of jellyfishes at the end. The swordfish can beat them easily with his sword nose.
We go to Cranky Kong's place where Cranky Kong tells us more about things that can help us. We go to the next place which is very dark. I can't see anything because it is very dark. I hear something breaking and then see light. I look and see a small green bird holding the light. The small green bird helps us to get through the cave. Donkey Kong is very strong as he can beat the big and strong crocodile bad guys just by jumping on them. Diddy Kong can't as he just bounces off them when he jumps on them. I also bounce off them when I try to jump on them. We carefully go forward, jumping over holes and barrels full of fire. When there are holes that I can't jump over, Donkey Kong carries me and safely jumps over them. We also use flying little platforms to get across very big holes and to get to high places. Near the end of the cave are dangerous spinning wheels with spikes. We can just jump over them as they don't move around.
After saving the game at Candy Kong's place and going past Funky Kong, we go to the top of the trees. We go forward, beating the bad guys and carefully avoiding the bad guys that we can't beat. We use car wheels on the floor and flying platforms to get to the other sides. We find a barrel hiding at the top of the little flying platforms. Just as Cranky said, there are lots of secret bonus rooms everywhere. This bonus room is where we need to match the three barrels. The three barrels will keep changing to different pictures and we need to hit them to stop them. We need to get the same picture on all three barrels to get that thing. If we don't match all three, then the barrels will disappear and we get nothing. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong get sad when that happens. There are other bonus rooms that I forget to tell you. We found one where there were letters. I have no idea how to do that. Whenever I touched one of the letters, I always lose. Then there's one where Diddy Kong pointed at the three barrels above us. Me, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong looked at the three barrels and saw a picture of the thing moving to each barrel. It had gone very fast and then disappeared. We have to guess which barrel has it. Sometime we guessed right which made us happy, and sometime we guessed wrong which made us sad. We fall back down onto the trees and then jump over the line of bees using the car wheel on the flying platform to get to the exit.
We go to the last place of this area where we fight the big beaver. This one is just like the first one we faced only this one is dangerous. He sometimes jumps high up or jumps across. When we hit him by jumping on his head, he jumps really high up and nearly across the room. We can't hit him when he jumps high. We have to wait for him to jump low to hit him. I can never tell when he'll stop jumping high, maybe he jumps high for about three or four times. After hitting him several times, he falls down just like the other one. We are happy to get another big banana.
The next place is very dark and very dirty. There is a lot of smoke in the air and it smells bad. We go into this place full of machines. We beat the bad guys and go forward while jumping over holes and barrels full of fire. Near the end we need to use the barrels of fire to get across the big holes. The fire in these barrels stays out for a few minutes before going down and disappearing. That is when it is safe to jump on them. We need to quickly jump across as the fire will come back out after a few minutes. We also have to avoid barrels that are being thrown at us by the bad monkeys. Right at the end of this stage are barrels of fire. These are different as they trick you by pretending to go down only to go back up. Donkey Kong gets burn by jumping in too soon and runs away. Diddy Kong helps me to jump across the barrels full of fire. We watch carefully and see that once they trick you, the fire will next go down and stay down for several minutes. That is our time to get across before the fire comes back out.
We go into the mine where we use these moving platforms to get across the very big hole before us. There is not much floor around here, mostly moving platforms. The moving platform will move once we get on it. We get Donkey Kong back by hitting the DK barrel on top of the bird. We ride the moving platform while beating the bird bad guys by jumping on them or avoiding them by jumping over them, going under them or moving to the side. We carefully avoid the falling rocks that the bird bad guys drop on us. Diddy Kong runs away after getting hit by bird bad guys that fly right at us. We jump over the rocks that the little bird bad guy spits at us. We beat the little bird bad guy and keep on riding the moving platform. We avoid more rocks from the little bird bad guys. The moving platform stops moving right near the floor. We jump onto the floor and hit the barrel with lots of white things on it. We go onto another moving platform where we have to avoid or beat the falling beavers. Donkey Kong helps me to jump over the bee. We hit the DK barrel on top of the bee and get Diddy Kong back. More bad guys get in our way as we make our way to the end. The crocodile bad guys fall down on top of us. Donkey Kong has to beat the strong crocodile bad guys as me and Diddy Kong will bounce off them if we try to hit them. Near the end we avoid the barrels from the bad monkeys.
In the next stage, we go inside the cave. There are a lot of snakes in here. Donkey Kong helps me to climb up the ropes. We find bad barrels that spit out snakes. We avoid the bees as we climb across the ropes and crawl through the holes. There are also little bird bad guys spitting rocks at us. Next we jump across these moving boxes. The moving boxes are on the poles; one pole is moving the boxes up while another pole moves the boxes down. We quickly jump across as we don't want to hit the roof at the top and we don't want to fall down the holes. We ride the moving box up to the high floor and quickly jump across the next moving boxes to avoid the bees. We carefully ride the next boxes to go under the wall and then over the next wall and then under the next wall and finally over the next wall. We make it to the end of this stage.
We save at Candy's place and go into the dirty water. The whole water is green and dirty that it makes me sick. This whole place makes me sick with dirty water and dirty sky. The only places that I don't get sick are the places that are inside like the caves and buildings. I can't see properly through the dirty water but I know we have to move around dangerous things and avoid the bad guys. We finally make it out of the dirty water.
We go to Cranky Kong's place to rest. I do not feel well because of the dirty water. Cranky Kong tells me more about games that he played. I then tell Cranky Kong about this game that I always wanted. It's about this round red spot that go to Hollywood. The start of the game was funny because the red spot dropped a hammer on his feet. This game was different from the one that I saw on TV. He didn't go left and right, he can go up and down and left and right. You need to go to the end while beating the bad guys. When I did get to the end, I got struck. I found out that I needed to collect all the red round circles before I can get to the end. There were lots of things that you can collect around the stages. Cranky Kong asks me what kind of games I like. I tell him that I like all games that are fun to play. He then asks me about what I think about this game we are in. I say to him that I like it and that it is fun. I also tell him that there were some parts that I had trouble getting through but Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong helped me get through them. I tell him that I was able to find secret places thank to him. Cranky Kong smiles and tells me that I am going to be very good at games since I listen to his advices. He also says that I might become good as him if I play enough.
Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong come back and get me. I am feeling a lot better now. We go past this stage. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong tell me about that stage we had gone past. They tell me that it's a mine stage where they need to ride the mine cart. It was very dangerous because you need to jump out of the moving mine cart to avoid flying bad guys. You also need to jump out of it at the right time to jump over the hole in the track and right into the next mine cart. If you jump too early you will fall down the hole. I am glad that I didn't go in. I don't think I can jump out of the mine cart. We go past Funky Kong and into the next stage.
We are inside another machine building. It is very hard to get through in here as the lights in this place keep turning off and on. It is very hard to see when everything is very dark. We slowly and carefully go through this place, beating any bad guys in our way. We make sure to move when the light go back on. I keep falling in the holes because I can't see them in the dark. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong save me from falling into the holes. We also get hit by the bad guys because we can't see them in the dark. After several tries we finally make it through to the end.
We go to the next stage where we fight a very big black barrel with the bad bone picture on it. This big black barrel tries to squash us by falling on top of us. We move out of the way to avoid his attack. The big black barrel then goes upside down and shakes out little bad guys at us. We beat the little bad guys. As soon as we beat them, the big black barrel tries to squash us by falling on top of us two times. We quickly move out of the way. We try to jump on top of him when he goes down but that does nothing but getting us hurt. Donkey Kong runs away when he tries that. The big black barrel shakes out more little bad guys at us. Me and Diddy Kong beat the little bad guys by jumping on them. We move around to avoid the big black barrel. The big black barrel falls down on us some more times and then gets more little bad guys out. We beat the little bad guys. The big black barrel falls down on us several more times and then gets more bad guys out. This time he gets out the big crocodile bad guys wearing helmet. We jump on them but it doesn't hurt them. Their helmets protect them from our attack. If Donkey Kong was with us, he could beat them by jumping on top of them. Diddy Kong does a cartwheel and rolls right into the big crocodile bad guys, beating them. Wow, that was great! I want to do cartwheel like that but my legs won't go high enough when I tried doing cartwheel. The big black barrel attacks us again some more times. He gets out the armadillos which we beat them by jumping on them twice. The big black barrel falls down right in the middle. Diddy Kong grabs me and keeps me safe, away from the big black barrel. The big black barrel falls down and blows up. The top of the big black barrel is now broken. I don't know what happened but we beat the bad guy and get the big banana.
Me and Diddy Kong go into the cave. We go into the mine where we find Donkey Kong inside the DK barrel. We go onto the moving platform that has lights on it. As soon as the platform moves, the lights on it slowly disappear one by one. We get the fuel barrel before all the lights go out. The fuel barrel fills up all the lights on the platform. The lights are now green which mean we have lots of power in the moving platform. When the lights go down to three, the lights will turn orange which mean it's getting less power. We need to keep collecting the fuel barrels to keep the moving platform moving. Luckily there are fuel barrels but some of them are hard to get. They are too high to get and we need to use the platforms to get them. Some of these platforms will fall down when we jump on them. The moving platform falls down when all the lights go out. We jump off the moving platform before it falls down and go over to the floor where we break the barrel with lots of white things on it. We jump onto another moving platform with lights. We carefully jump onto the car wheels and over the bees. We need to jump on the car wheels to get the fuel barrels that are too high up. We couldn't get all the fuel barrels. We jump onto the platform, beat the little bad guys and accidentally push the car wheel off the platform. We wait for the moving platform to come over to us. The moving platform slowly comes over. I watch as the light goes down to one. The last light has gone red and it slowly goes out. Once all the lights go out, the moving platform falls down. I guess we will wait for the next moving platform. I look at Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Donkey looks sad as he covers his eyes with his hand and shakes his head. Diddy Kong is very angry as he throws his hat to the floor and jumps on it. Wait, why are we sad? Aren't we waiting for another moving platform? I find out that there is no more moving platform and that we can't go forward. It looks like we are struck here now. We need to go back and do that again.
We start this place again and come out of the barrel with lots of white things on it. Oh yeah, Cranky called them checkpoints. It is very useful. If we all get beaten by the bad guys, we come back using this checkpoint barrel. That's why we always break that barrel just in case we get beaten or fall down the holes. We get on the moving platform and make sure to get all the fuel barrels this time. It is very dangerous as we need to jump in between bees to get the fuel barrel. We jump onto the floor and this time we push the car wheel onto the moving platform. We use the car wheel to bounce high up and get a fuel barrel. The next fuel barrel is easy to get, we just jump into the barrel that shoots us into the fuel barrel. We jump onto the next floor where we wait for the moving platform to get under us. We jump in between the bees to get the fuel barrel and onto the moving platform. The next part we have to get all the fuel barrels. For some reason we can only fill one light with these fuel barrels. We jump over the bees to get them. We make it to the barrel that shoots us near the end. We jump across the floors to get to the end.
We go into the cave which is full of dangerous spinning wheels with spikes. They are very dangerous as some of them move left and right, up and down, and go around in a circle. We avoid them by jumping over them and going under them. We find our rhino friend but lost him when we get hit by the spinning wheel with spikes. Donkey Kong helps us to beat the very big and strong crocodile bad guys. Donkey Kong carries me as the next part is very dangerous. There are moving small platforms moving left and right over very big hole. There are spinning wheels with spikes that are not moving and are in the small moving platforms way. We have to jump over them while staying on the small moving platforms. We go into another cave full of spinning wheels with spikes. There are lots of them and they are moving up and down really fast. We carefully move under them to get to the other side of this cave. We get the golden square 'G' at the end. We have been trying to collect all the square letters. Some stages we are able to get them all, and other stages we can't and keep missing some letters that we can't reach. We go out onto the other end of the rock and carry on forward. We bounce on the car wheel on the floor and bounce over the two wheels with spikes. We go to the exit.
There are lots of snakes in this place. They are coming from those bad barrels. I am having problem seeing as there is smoke in this cave. I look around and then I get myself lost. I walk around, looking for Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Donkey Kong finds me and carries me on his back. We carry on through the smoke. We beat the bad guys and jump over the bad barrels. We use the ropes to get to the other side of the big holes on the floor. I find that some of the bad barrels shoot out different bad guys like the small crocodiles and the armadillos. We find the exit and go out of the cave full of smoke.
We go past Funky Kong and go inside a very dark cave. There are small crocodiles that jump at you. We have to carefully jump on top of them to beat them while avoiding jumping into their mouths. There are barrels with the word 'ON' on them. When the word changes to 'OFF' the whole cave turn very dark that we can't see anything. It is too dangerous to move forward in the dark as we might crash into bad guys or fall down into the holes on the floor. We hit the barrel to turn the light on and quickly move forward to the next barrel. We have to jump across small platforms and avoid or beat the bad guys in our way. After the checkpoint barrel we find jumping crocodiles. These are very dangerous because they are bigger than the small crocodiles. We beat them and move forward where we need to push the car wheel forward. We use the car wheel to bounce up to hit the very high barrel. I don't know what happen but Diddy Kong gets hit by something. I think I can hear something throwing something at us. Donkey Kong carries me and we quickly go forward to the barrel. We avoid the jumping bad guys as we don't want to get hit by them when they jump at us. We carefully jump over and go under the bees while hitting the barrels to keep the light on. At the end we jump over rolling barrels that are being thrown by the bad monkey. We beat the bad monkey and make our way to the exit.
We save at Candy Kong's place and go to the next stage. Good thing I got Donkey Kong as there are big and strong crocodile bad guys. Donkey Kong jumps onto this big and strong crocodile at the start. The big and strong crocodile just laughs when he gets hit. Even Donkey Kong can't beat him, this bad guy is very strong. Donkey Kong grabs me and puts me on his back. We jump over the very strong crocodile bad guy and jump onto the platform with an arrow on it. This platform moves as soon as we jump on it and it moves in the direction the arrow is pointing. We jump over to the floor and beat the armadillo bad guys. We get Diddy Kong back from the DK barrel. There are more platforms with arrow. We jump from platform to platform to get to the next place. We have to be careful as the moving platforms with arrow don't keep moving. They will shake at the end and then fall down. We have to move onto the next platform as soon as the moving platform starts shaking. We carefully jump across the moving platforms with arrow while avoiding the bees. We have to quickly jump across the next platforms with arrow as they are pointing down. We do not want to go down into the big hole. We will lose a life and have to start again. We also have to jump across while avoiding the bees that get in our way. They are very dangerous as we can't beat them by jumping on them. They will string us if we touch them.
We carefully beat the armadillo bad guys on the small floors. We don't want to accidentally bounce off the armadillo bad guys and fall into the hole. We find the checkpoint barrel and break it. There are beaver bad guys on the small platforms with arrow. We need to beat them and then we can make the platforms move. We let the moving platforms take us to the next moving platforms. Donkey Kong beats the big crocodile bad guy wearing helmet that is standing on one of the platforms. The next part is very hard as there are now big and very strong bad guys on the moving platforms. We can't beat them and if we try to jump on them, we will bounce off and fall down the hole. Donkey Kong gets a barrel next to him and throws it at the big and very strong bad guy. The big and very strong bad guy falls down as soon as the barrel hits him. The only way to beat them is to throw barrels at them. We carry on forward where there are more very strong bad guys in our way. It's a good thing there are barrels nearby. We use the barrels near us to beat those very strong bad guys. We carefully make our way across toward the exit.
We go over to Cranky Kong and talk with him. We go to the next place where we face with another big bird. This one is purple. He attacks the same way as the other big bird. It is the same as before, we need to use the car wheel on the floor to bounce high enough to jump on top of the big bird's head. This is taking too long, we jump on the big bird's head but he doesn't get hurt. After he finishes all his attack, we hurt him by jumping on his head. At first he spits out one rock. After we hit him, he spits out two rocks. After we hit him again, he spits out three rocks. We have to avoid the rocks and wait for him to finish before we can attack him. There are too many rocks and it is getting harder to dodge them all. Donkey Kong gets hit by one of the rocks and runs off. Me and Diddy Kong avoid the rocks by bouncing over them using the car wheel on the floor. We finally beat him after he spits out five rocks at us. We dodge them and jump on his head. The big bird falls down just like the other big bird that we beaten before. We get another big banana.
We go out and go over to the ship. I wonder how many stages are in this one. As soon as we go in, we get Donkey Kong out of the DK barrel and then get attack by a very big green crocodile on the ship. As soon as he drops down, he throws his crown at us. We jump over the crown and jump onto his head. He does not like that as he shouts when he gets hit. We jump over him when he runs at us. He runs over to the other side of the ship and throws the crown at us again. We jump over the crown and jump onto his head again. He runs to the other side of the ship and then runs back over to the other side. We jump over him to avoid getting hurt. He throws the crown again and we jump over it and jump on his head. He runs to the other side three times. We jump over him three times. He throws the crown at us. We jump over it and jump onto his head again.
He does something different now. He jumps two times and then does a very big jump. He jumps way over to the other side. As soon as he hits the floor, cannonballs fall from the top. They fall down one by one, falling toward us. We dodge the cannonballs by quickly running under one of them as it comes down. We quickly run under it and go to the other side where it is safe. The big crocodile throws the crown at us again. We jump over it and jump on his head again. He jumps again and jumps high up to the other side. The cannonballs come falling down toward us. We run under them again. This time the cannonballs come back falling toward the other side. We dodge them again by running under them. We jump over the crown the crocodile throws at us and jump on his head again. The big crocodile does another big jump. The cannonballs move to the other side three times. We dodge them and jump onto the big crocodile's head when he throws the crown. He falls down and we beat him. We all are very happy. I know that we beat him because the list of names comes up. In video games, the list of names always comes up when you finish the games.
Once that is finishes, the big crocodile gets back up and jumps over us. Is it showing the ending? The big crocodile throws the crown at us and hits Diddy Kong. Diddy Kong runs off. Is that supposed to happen? Is Diddy Kong supposed to get hit by the bad guy? Donkey Kong quickly grabs me and we jump over the crown as it comes back. The crown goes back to the big crocodile. The big crocodile puts the crown back on his head and jumps to the other side. We run under him as he jumps over us. We jump over his crown that he throws and jump on his head again. Wait?! It is not finished?! We are still fighting him?! I thought we beaten him because the list of names came up. Was the list of names not real? He jumps to the other side again and then jumps back to the other side. This time his jumps are much smaller than his two big jumps. We jump over his crown and jump onto his head again. He jumps to the other side three times. The third time is even harder as he jumps even more smaller. We have to quickly run under him as he jumps up. We jump over his crown and hit him on the head. He shouts out before falling down. We get a big banana when we beat him. I see Donkey Kong is very happy that we beat the big crocodile bad guy.
We go back to Cranky Kong who tells us that we all did great. I find out that the crocodiles are known as the Kremlings. Cranky Kong tells us to go look at something. He also says to us that if he was playing, he would have found everything. I want to find everything but I don't know where everything is. Cranky Kong tells us that we have missed some bonus rooms. I wonder where they all are. We go back to the cave under Donkey Kong's home. There are lots and lots of bananas in here. Both Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong are very happy to see the bananas. So that's why they were so sad, all their bananas were gone but now we got them back. Back at Donkey Kong's home, I learn more about the bad guys. There is one bit where the jellyfish gets chased by a shark bad guy but then the shark bad guy gets chased by four jellyfishes. I also find out the name of the big crocodile bad guy, his name is King K. Rool. I look at the names of all the good animals that helped us. I would like it if the bird helps us even more like help us to fly very high in the sky. Cranky Kong is waiting for his turn as he moves left and right in his chair.
I watch as Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong mess about with each other. At first, Donkey Kong is very happy and then Diddy Kong comes in and tells him to look up. Donkey Kong looks up and then Diddy Kong steps on Donkey Kong's feet. Donkey Kong holds his feet while Diddy Kong laughs at him. Donkey Kong does not like it so he hits Diddy Kong on his head, knocking him down. Diddy Kong gets back up and they move to the other side of the house, away from each other. Donkey Kong then goes over to Diddy Kong as Diddy Kong scratches his head. Donkey Kong quickly knocks Diddy Kong's hat off. Diddy Kong looks around to see what has happened. Donkey Kong just looks up at the sky. He turns to look at Diddy Kong but looks back up to the sky when Diddy Kong looks at him. Just as Diddy Kong is about to pick up his hat, Donkey Kong kicks his legs and makes Diddy Kong falls down. Donkey Kong laughs at Diddy Kong as he points at him. Diddy Kong looks at Donkey Kong and then bites Donkey Kong's finger. He laughs at Donkey Kong as Donkey Kong looks at his finger that got bitten. Diddy Kong gets back up and they both go off. I laugh at that, it was so funny. They are very good friends. Cranky Kong moves about in his chair and tells me that he can do this with only one life and less than an hour. Wow, he is very good. I say goodbye to them and go back home.
The game I am in, in this chapter is Donkey Kong's Country for the Super Nintendo. I remember the first time I saw this, there was a preview on a game TV show and they show the intro. I thought the part with Donkey Kong popping out his eyes like a cartoon was one of Donkey Kong's attacks. I thought it was cool and I really wanted this game. I remember playing this on a very sunny day (it was very sunny that the light shined through the window and on the TV I was playing on. It was hard to see the TV with the sunny light in the way). And at the final boss, I thought that was a normal stage until I got in and faced the King K. Rool. I am so glad he is back even if it isn't a Donkey Kong game. The villains in the latest Donkey Kong Country games aren't as good as King K. Rool. I remember when I was in primary school, I imagined King K. Rool running about the school yard with a shield around him. The only way to beat him was for me to play the final boss music on my flute (I thought flute was so cool). This will cause the shield to disappear, and DK and Diddy can attack him. Yeah, I have a crazy imagination.
The games I mentioned to Cranky are Mr Nutz, Sylvester and Tweety, and Spot goes to Hollywood. All of these games are on the Megadrive. And about the Game and Watch game, I can't remember what the name of the game that I played when I was in that restaurant. I just played it...and lost a lot due to me not understanding the goal of the game.
