Hi everybody, sorry for the wait. Still working on my next chapter…just getting really distracted at the moment (quickly hide the Splatoon 3 game under my pillow). Yeah…so…I am really distracted so I may or may not be able to work on my next chapter as much as I could. On the bright side, I found this completed chapter that I worked on. Just need to proofread here and change things there…and we are done.

This chapter take place around the time… Oh let's just say around the time when the first Playstation console came out…or just before that.

Disclaimer: I don't own any characters, just me being me.

Warning: Luckily, you're not watching this or you would be getting motion sickness. Some things might be describe a bit too gruesomely…maybe?

I am sitting in a room, very scared.

"Julie, there you are. I was wondering where you went off to." I look and see Darkwing walking in. He looks at me. "Julie, what's wrong?"

"I don't want to play that game again," I say to Darkwing. My voice sounds really scared.

"That game? What do you mean by that?" Darkwing thinks about it. "If is hide and seek or tag then there's nothing scary about it. It's just a game. You play it for fun."

I don't think Darkwing knows what I am talking about. "Not that, I don't want to play that game." I use my hands to show Darkwing what I mean. I move my fingers to make it look like I am playing on a control.

"Ooooh, you mean video games? Julie, there is nothing to be afraid of when playing video games."

"But this one scared me."

"What?! Wait a second! Did your parents brought you a horror game?! What were they thinking?! I oughtta have a word with your parents!"

"Horror…game? What's that?"

"It's a game designed to scare people. They use jump scares, dark empty atmosphere, monsters and…other gross stuffs that are scary."

"Nope, the game is not like that. You just jump to different places and beat bad guys while going to the end."

"Ahhh, a platform game."

"I don't like the game over."

"Julie, there is nothing wrong with losing. You just have to get better and play again."

"I don't want to! The game over is scary!"

"Really?" Darkwing thinks about it. "Then I'll play it. I'll show you that you don't need to be afraid of it."

Darkwing gets everything ready while I go back to my world to get the game. I come back and put the game in. The start of the game is very colourful with lots of colours moving around. Then the music plays and the title of the game show up. Darkwing looks at it and his eyes go big. He covers my eyes with his hands.

"What kind of main character is that?!" Darkwing shouts. "This can't be the main character!"

"That is the main character," I say to Darkwing. I try to get Darkwing's hands off my face.

"But…but… This is so wrong! What kind of people designed this?!"

I have no idea what Darkwing is talking about. "What's wrong?"

"Julie, have you not notice anything about him?"

I look at the game. "Notice about what?"

"Nothing! Just forget I said anything!" Darkwing says to me. I wonder what wrong with the main character of that game. I don't see anything wrong with him. Darkwing picks up the control and looks at the option in the game. "Let's see, we got the jump button and…a leap button?!"

"That jump higher than the jump button," I say to Darkwing.

"There's the spike button-"

"That's for attacking bad guys."

"And the explode button."

"That's for beating all the bad guys. You only get three but you can get more in the levels."

"Okay then, let's start this game." Darkwing starts the game and is in the first level. He controls the main character and makes him go to the right. "I got to say, the music is good."

"I like the music too."

The main character gets hit. "Hey, what hit me?!" Darkwing looks at the game carefully to see what hit the main character.

"That little yellow bad guy on the floor." I point at the place where he got hit.

"It's hard to see the bad guys when you're running very quickly." Darkwing finds the wheel power up. The main character changes his legs into a one car wheel. "Whoa! He's a shapeshifter?!"

"Shape…shifter?"

"They can change their form into anything."

"Oh! He can only change when he get the power ups."

"I still think he's a shapeshifter…" Darkwing looks at the main character, "or a guy made entirely of plasticine." Darkwing gets hit by another bad guy. He attacks the bad guy with the attack button. "Hey, he curls up like Sonic." Darkwing gets hit again and loses a life. "Okay… Maybe I should keep hitting the attack button, that way I won't get hit by the bad guys." He starts at the beginning of the stage. He slowly moves to the right and see a pink round hole. "Hey! That wasn't there before!"

"But it was. It always been there."

"Really?" Darkwing jumps into the hole which takes him into space where the main character stands on the world. Darkwing collects all the CDs on the world he is standing on. "Is that it? Not much is it? Guess I go back through the vortex."

I stop Darkwing before he go into the pink hole. "Darkwing, you're not finish here."

"Huh? What am I supposed to do?"

"You don't know?" I get the control from Darkwing and make the main character jump. I hold the right button so that the main character is always moving right. The main character flies around to the right, collecting power ups and CDs that are around this area. I give the control back to Darkwing.

Darkwing looks at me. "Julie, how did you know to do that?"

I think about what Darkwing asks me. "I just do it."

Darkwing goes back to the first level. He beats the bad guys using the attack button. "Now that I got the hang of this, this should be easy to finish."

Several minutes later, Darkwing is still struck on the first level. I notice that Darkwing is looking green in his face.

"Ooooh!" Darkwing says. He covers his mouth with one of his hands. "I never knew this game can give you motion sickness…" Darkwing looks very sick as he tries to sit down properly. "The way it shakes a lot…and the way the screen rotated very quickly… It can make even the toughest guys sick." Darkwing is making sounds of a sick person. I take the control and carry on with the game. Darkwing watches me play. "Julie, do you not feel sick playing that?"

"What? No."

"Then you have a strong stomach. I still get motion sickness even when I watch you play," Darkwing says to me.

I didn't like the music playing. The music changed because Darkwing collected the big CD. I pause the game which gets the music player up. I change the music back to the first music.

"How did you know to do that?" Darkwing asks me.

"By pressing this button," I say to him. Next, I get the map up to see where I am going.

"What?! There's a map?!"

"Yes, you just press this button." I show Darkwing which button I pressed to get the map.

"It would have been useful if you told me about it earlier… Actually, the game should have told me about the map button."

"I just found it by pressing any buttons. I like to see what all the buttons do."

"Yeah… I should have done that." Darkwing hides his face in his hand as he said that.

I make the main character go into the very small pipe which takes him to a different place. The main character can squish himself into the very small pipe. Darkwing's eyes go big as he watches me do that.

"That guy is definitely made of plasticine," says Darkwing.

I finish the first level and go onto the next level. It is the same thing like before only the level is shaped different from the first level. Darkwing looks even more green as I move quickly around the place. I nearly lose all of my lives. I keep getting the main character hit. The main character got burned, fall to pieces and got a hole in his stomach.

"Now I know why you're scared of it. Getting blown through the stomach is very gruesome."

"Isn't it like the cartoon?" I say to Darkwing.

"Cartoon?! What kind of violent cartoons does your world have?!"

"Vio…lent?"

"Let's get back to this game. I see why you got scared."

"It's not because of that. It's the game over that scare me." I carry on through the level and make it to the boss of the first world. I remember how I beaten it. I nearly lost but I beat the boss by using all the explode attacks.

"So that's the explode attack, he sure knows how to get back together. I'm surprised he didn't lose any of his limbs," says Darkwing.

On the next world I got myself lost again. I have no idea where I supposed to go. I am down to my last life and I end up losing it to a bad guy. The main character explodes everywhere.

"I thought you used up all your explode attacks," says Darkwing.

I quickly drop the control and hug Darkwing by his arm.

"Julie, what's wrong?" Darkwing watches the game over screen. "He's…he…he turned into rain? No, he exploded into rain?"

"He gone! He's gone! He's gone to little pieces and- he's gone!" I say as I hold onto Darkwing.

"I see what you mean. Why is the screen still shaking?! I thought the shaking has stopped. Oh, wait, the shaking is coming from my arm."

Darkwing must have felt me shaking. I am shaking so badly.

"He can't get back together! I don't like it! I don't like how he blown up into little pieces! I don't like how all the pieces of him fall to the floor! I don't like how he can't get back together because all of his pieces disappear into the floor! I'm scared!" I feel someone hugging me. I look and see Darkwing hugging me.

"Sorry Julie. I thought I can help you get over this just by playing this game but instead you got scared again. Now I know why you're scared. Yes, that is very scary…and very disturbing. The way he… I mean the game over screen is very creepy." Darkwing pats my back. "If I ever go to your world, remind me to hurt the developers who created this mess of a game. This game scared you and gave me motion sickness. It also has the most weird and disturbing main character, I mean look at him… On second thought don't look at him. Let's just say that it is pure wrong on all levels." Darkwing takes the game and gives it to me. "Julie, never play this game again."

"I won't. I'm scared of it."

"Don't think about it."

"I don't want to think about the game over screen. But I like the music."

"That's the only good thing about it."

"Only the first music I like." I am about to put the game back into my world until Darkwing calls me.

"Julie, don't tell the others about this. I don't- we don't want them to worry, not over this little thing."

"Okay."

"Come on, I'll treat you to some sweets."

"Yeah!"

And the game I am talking about is Mohawk and Headphone Jack on the Super Nintendo. I had no problem playing this game…except for the game over screen. Yeah, that scared me a lot. Thinking about how the main character exploded and unnaturally fall and dissolved into the floor like raindrops, never to come back together… That really scared me. I stopped playing because of that.

I never had motion sickness when playing this when I was little. Just a few years ago I looked up people playing this game on YouTube. I was curious about what they think of the game. Mostly all of them hated the game (except for this speedrunner, he was really good at the game). Watching them played, I ended up feeling sick. Now I got motion sickness when watching them play it.

I will try to work on next chapter if I'm not too distracted with the SplatFest.
