Hinata halted at the gates of Konoha, hands holding onto two sun hat. She was wearing her usual stay home outfit, just that with the summer heat attacking, she chose to opt out her usual purple jacket and just donned onto her thin white long sleeve and khaki shorts. Along with one of her many sun hats to protect her from the sun. The guards at the gates greeted her politely, to which she proceed to give them a small bag of fruits she had prepared.
The heat could possibly get anyone a heatstroke, causing her to worry a little about the two that had promised to return. She stood in the middle of the gigantic entrance, hands up to her chest as she kept a lookout at the horizon. They were almost fifteen minutes late from the time Sasuke had promised to arrive, and the Uchiha rarely was late.
Thoughts started running through her. She would not be surprised if they were to have a fight while on their way back, on even on their way to the sound yesterday. Yuu did possess something everyone wanted, even though it was kept a secret to majority of the people but she would not be surprise to have people finding out Orochimaru's creation.
Before intending to activate her byakugan just to east her mind, she felt an instant relief when she saw a familiar silhouette of a child and an adult. She dropped her hands to her side, for a moment feeling really happy to see Yuu again.
She jogged up towards them a little, and when they were close enough to determine each other's identity, Yuu instantly ran towards her with his arms slightly wide open and wrapped his tiny hands around her waist.
Hinata took a step back at the impact, before laughing. "How's the trip?"
"Orochimaru told me to be careful. I'll be staying in Konoha!" Yuu exclaimed happily.
Sasuke stepped up behind him, making eye contact with the female as he nodded his head. "He agreed with Naruto to keep him on the low profile. Try not to let anyone know he has inherited both of our blood."
"Have you told Yuu the plan?" Hinata questioned softly.
"Yea, he's alright with it."
Hinata darted her eyes lower towards the child, and noticing how some of his long black locks was sticking onto his neck. "Is your hair bothering you?" She asked, passing him a sun hat. "Wear this to protect your beautiful face from the sun."
"It gets sticky when it's hot." Yuu said as he wore the sun hat. He turned around to show his father, to which he earned a soft chuckle. Noticing how his mother was still holding onto another hat, he gently took it from her and passed it to the male. "Tou-san, wear this to protect your beautiful face."
Hinata giggled at her son's words. "Do you want to cut it short, or would you prefer to tie it up?" Looking towards the Uchiha, she lowered her head a little to hide her embarrassment when she noticed how it definitely did not suit Sasuke's character. "I didn't think much about it and the umbrella's spoiled. It's okay if you don't wish to! It… does not exactly suit you." She said, causing her son to laugh a little.
Continuing to push the hat to his father, Yuu persuaded. "Tou-san, wear it. Kaa-chan brought it all the way here!"
"Yuu, you're not supposed to address your mother in Konoha." Sasuke reminded calmly.
"But… we are still not in Konoha yet." Yuu pouted a little and lowered the sun hat. "I thought I can call her a little more."
Noticing the sadness surrounding his voice, Hinata patted his head. "You can, just a little more." She giggled a little when Yuu's expression took a lighter change, and the sun hat was still in his hand. "Yuu, it's okay if – "
"I will take it." Taking the hat from Yuu's hand, Sasuke mentally sighed and placed it on his head, only to receive laughter coming from both end. At least it made his son a little happier.
"Tou-san looks different." Yuu commented, laughing along with his mother. "Kaa-chan, you should bring other kind of hat!"
"I only have this." Hinata said apologetically as she chuckled in between.
Sasuke pressed his lips, waiting for the duo to end their mini laughing session. Maybe he shouldn't be so accommodating, but he was indeed trying to be a good father.
"Gomen, Sasuke-kun." Hinata made an apology. "Are you going to stay in Konoha for a while?"
"I'll greet Sakura and Sarada before going." He said, as the three of them started making their way towards the gates of Konoha.
"Tou-san, don't you stay in Konoha?"
Hinata wasn't sure should she be stepping in to do the explanation, so she decided to keep mum and waited for a response coming from the person who was being questioned. The kept walkng, with silence filling the trio and it was clear that Yuu was waiting for an answer.
"Ah." Hinata decided to help. "Your father is going on a long term mission to protect his home. Which is going to be your home now."
"Can I follow?" Was the only question that followed through.
"No." Both of them replied in unison, earning a frown from the child. Sasuke finally added in. "Yuu, I'm going on a dangerous mission, so I won't be coming home as often. But I promise I will be home soon, faster than you think."
"Why can't I follow?" He continued to probe.
"It's… not safe." Sasuke said simply.
Yuu wasn't convinced. All he wanted was to spend an equal amount of time with both his parent. "Why does tou-san gets to go then?"
"Your father is strong. You need to train first, Yuu." Hinata explained, looking towards Sasuke and slowly blinked her eyes to assured him. "Let's get you to Konoha Ninja Academy and once you become strong, you can follow your father, okay?"
"Is this a promise?" Yuu lifted his brows in excitement.
"Hai." Stopping in her tracks, Hinata knelt down to meet his level and held her pinky out. "Here, a pinky promise." She slowly grabbed onto his hand and directed him to pull his last finger out. "We interlock it, and that's a promise. Whoever breaks it… will…"
"Have their fingers cut – "
"Ah! Will have to buy the other a flower!" Hinata frantically ended her sentence, not wanting Sasuke's true version to be heard."
"Flower?" Yuu tilted his head. "Why flower?"
"Well..." Hinata tapped her chin, desperately thinking of a way to explain. "Hamburgers a little too unhealthy. And flowers are pretty, aren't they?"
The young kid nodded happily, causing the sun hat to cover his entire forehead. He pushed it up a little and grinned. "It's a pinky promise!"
"It's a promise." Hinata said. "Shall we go home?"

Sasuke walked up the stairs of the building. He still hadn't quite gotten use to constantly moving around due to Sakura's uncontrollable immense strength whenever she gotten mad. He thought he could purchase a good house, something like Naruto's just so he could provide both his wife and daughter a bigger and better place to stay. But… neither did he want to be in debt for destroying homes.
Now he had just gotten another addition to the list of debt to places Sakura had destroyed, but it did not bother him. Maybe if he was to stay in Konoha for time to time, this kind of a problem could be reduced significantly.
"I'm home." He pushed open the main door and took off his shoes.
The place was quiet, unlike the usual times when he returned he could either hear Sarada's voice or the clanking of pots and pans. He quickly scanned the small place of theirs, and when he heard footsteps coming from the corner room, he made his way towards it.
Sakura had her hand against the door, walking weakly out of the room as she tried to greet her husband. "You're back." She beamed. "Have you got the things settled?"
"Ah." Sasuke nodded as he held onto his wife's arm and guided her to the couch. "You should rest."
"I know." Dropping herself down onto the couch, she let out a loud exhale. "Naruto talked to me yesterday about the situation. He will be telling our friends to keep the identity of Hinata to Mitsuki a secret."
"Yuu."
"Hmm?"
"We named him Yuu." Sasuke said. "He wanted a new name so we came up with one."
Sakura nodded slowly. "It's a nice name. Will he be staying with Hinata then?"
"Yea, that's the arrangement as for now. We will enrol him into the academy as soon as possible, since he mentioned that he wants to be a shinobi."
Sakura felt a certain amount of odd feeling circulating around her chest. It wasn't like she was jealous, because there was no reason to be. It wasn't Hinata's fault either. The idea of how Sasuke addressed everything they did together as 'we', frustrated her a little. She did all the arrangements for Sarada since the day she was birthed, the registration of name, identity, enrolment and even attending all the parents teacher meeting. None of these Sasuke was ever there, even though he would ask her about it whenever he returned.
Yet, it had been merely just a week and Sasuke had already been helping Hinata out with the enrolment of their son?
"That's great." Sakura muttered, bringing her fingers up to her temples and gently massaged her head. "Shinobi's good."
"Is your head still hurting?" Standing up, he made his way towards the one of the drawers where Sakura would always keep the medications.
The pink head smiled a little to herself, he still cared about her. "Thank you. It's a lot better now. Sorry, I didn't manage to prepare lunch for you for the road."
"It's fine. Take good care of yourself and Sarada. How's she holding up with Yuu as her brother?" Sasuke questioned as he handled her the medications and a glass of water. "Does she knows he will be in Konoha?"
"She didn't talk about it ever since that day. I will talk to her soon." Sakura smiled, resting her hand on Sasuke's. "No worries, I got Sarada handled."
"Thank you, Sakura." Sasuke exhaled, lifting his thumb and gently caressed her hand. "This isn't an easy news to accept."
The pink head admitted. "It isn't. But there's nothing we can do about it. I'm just glad that Yuu has a place to stay right now."
"Hn. Do you have work tomorrow?"
Popping the medicine into her mouth, Sakura nodded as she took a gulp of water. "Just a short one. The Chunin exams are coming up soon, you should give Sarada some encouragement."
"When will it be?"
"A week later." Sakura said. "Are you going to stay for today?"
Sasuke watched his wife's pale face as she continued to talk about their daughter. Maybe he could consider staying for just one day, to take care of his wife, talk to his daughter perhaps and help out with the enrolment of the Yuu. He could do that, he could be a good father and husband for once, at least.
"I will stay." He smiled. "You should take an off for tomorrow. I will leave tomorrow night, we can have lunch together. You're sick, I will prepare the food."
A tint of redness appeared on the pink head's cheeks. He still cared about her. "That sounds really nice."

Boruto tapped his feet against the ground impatiently with his arms folded as he watched his little sister already taking a comfort in the appearance of the clone. He narrowed his eyes, remembering that he did not even agree to the idea of having Yuu over to share his room.
"Nii-san, do you want to play with us?" Himawari lifted her stuff toy.
Boruto rolled his eyes. "I don't play those stuff. Those are for kids." He emphasized.
"What a meanie." Himawari pouted.
When he noticed his mum entering the living room with a pile of clothes in her hand, he was about to confront her but was cut off when she made her way passed him and towards the duo on the couch.
"Hima, are you having fun with Yuu?" Hinata questioned as she gave her daughter a quick oat on the head. "Yuu, I've gotten you some clothes that you can change into."
"Ahh, thanks you ka – Mrs Hyuga." The dark haired boy choked a little as he accepted the clothing. "Himawari, I will play with you in a while. I have to keep the clothes."
"Ah, hai! Can I help you with it then?"
Smiling, Yuu nodded. "Sure. You can guide me to – "
"I did not say you can stay in my room!" Boruto raised his voice, wanting the attention of everyone in the room. "Nobody listened to me that day! I did not agree to this at all."
"Boruto…" Hinata sighed a little. "I'm sorry but will it be okay for Yuu to stay with you for the time being?"
"Why can't he just stay with Sarada?" The blonde knitted his brows and pointed aggressively towards the kid.
"You know Sarada and her mother just moved to a smaller place ever since that incident. They might not have enough rooms for Yuu and Sakura is too busy to take care of Yuu." Hinata found a way to explain, and as much as she hated to lie, she was surprised she managed to pull it off well.
Puffing his cheeks and knowing the possibility of winning the battle was low, Boruto stomped out of the kitchen. "Whatever! You guys never once listen to me!"
He ran up the stairs and made his way towards his room, anger filling him internally. Plopping himself face down onto his pillow, he let out a short scream to vent his anger. It wasn't like he mind sharing his room, but he just didn't like the idea of having another same aged friend in his household. The attention his father was giving him was close to almost nothing and what if he returned and he himself had to even share the attention with Yuu?
Yuu was the child of his father's best friend and Boruto knew there might be a possibility that the Hokage would give his attention to the child, just like how he would do to Sarada on certain days. He just didn't want to feel like he was taken granted for.
Hearing footsteps coming up the stairs, he mentally sighed.
"Boruto?"
He could hear the door creaked open. "What is it?" He questioned through the pillow.
"Are you mad I am staying with you?" Yuu questioned, causing the boy to lift his head and faced him.
"Where are the females?" Boruto quickly jumped out of the bed and closed the door, pushing Yuu into the room. "Are they downstairs?"
Yuu nodded. "Yea. Do you want me to call them up?"
"No." The blonde narrowed his eyes. He thought he could do some interrogation and shows the alpha side of him. "How long will you be staying?"
"I don't know." Yuu wondered how long must he keep the secret going. He didn't enjoy the idea of he could not acknowledge the Uzumakis as his siblings. "Sorry that I am intruding."
Boruto stepped a little closer towards the long haired boy. "Kaa-chan is always too nice. Don't take her kindness for granted, I'm warning you."
"I p-promise you I am not!" Yuu replied, hands waving in front of him as he tried to defend himself. "I will go when I have to. I just thought we can be… friends first during the time I stay here."
Boruto briefly studied the male in front of him. He was so different, simply just in terms of looks and vibes. Yet at the same time, he thought he could feel some type of bond they would manifest in the future. He scoffed, jumping back to his bed. "Good that you know. So does this means Sarada will visit here often too?"
"I'm not very sure about that." Yuu muttered. He should catch up a little with his sister, whom he could openly greet. "Do you like Sarada by the way?"
Boruto showed a face filled with disgust. "No way! She's a teammate, I just have to tolerate her."
"Tolerate… Do you have to tolerate me too?"
Shrugging and letting out an audible sigh, the Uzumaki continued. "Sarada might beat me up if I don't tolerate her brother. You're sleeping on the ground anyways."
Yuu smiled. "Are you okay with me sharing the room with you then?"
"What?" Boruto exclaimed. "I did not say that! You can think however you like but do not disturb me when I'm in the room. And do not let Sarada in here if she ever visits."
"Ah." A soft chuckle escaped his lips. "Okay."
"You should ask my kaa-chan for the mattress. I've no idea where she kept it."
