"Are you getting anything?" Hinata asked as she scanned through the fresh produce that was being laid out nicely at the market. "You don't have to accompany me to this."

"I'm not accompanying you." Sasuke spoke, causing the female to turn slightly redder.

Realizing her bold assumption, she lowered her head and let out an embarrassed laugh. "So you're getting some stuff for Sakura?"

"Hm." He nodded and stretched his hands out to pick onto the spring onions. "I told her I will make dinner tonight. She's still recovering."

"What do you like to cook then, Sasuke-kun?" Hinata never once thought the almighty Uchiha could cook. Perhaps the usual easy to go stuff, such as instant ramen or salad but those weren't exactly meant for family dinner time. Especially it was a meal before he went on his long mission again.

His stared at the spring onions in his hands and pressed his lips a little. He obviously had not cooked much before, and most of the time during his missions he relied on food pills. "I…" He paused, trying as hard to remember what could spring onions do.

Hinata chuckle softly, but loud enough for him to catch it. "Sasuke-kun must be troubled." She said. "You can add spring onions as garnishes, perhaps to miso soup. They are easy to make it."

"Ah." Sasuke felt a wave of embarrassment washed up on him. So much for being a great father. "Hinata, how do you do miso soup?"

Her eyes softened a little as a small smile adorned her face. "You're making miso for them?"

"I… can't cook that much." He admitted. "Is there anything that's easy to stir up?"

"It's normal." The female waved her hand dismissively. "Naruto-kun doesn't cook as much either. I'm sure you can beat him in a cooking competition." Hinata joked softly.

"He doesn't?"

Maybe Sasuke had spent too much time travelling to the point he did not know what was the norm. Hinata nodded with a smile. "Yes. It's fine. You guys have to protect the village so I guess cooking and keeping the family together is at least something we the wives could do."

"I think I can do something for Sakura by learning to cook a little." He said, eyes begun scanning across the produces to search for something at least familiar for him. "What do you do with tofu?"

"Hmm… You can stir fry them! Maybe…" She looked around till she noticed a bunch of spinach. Her eyes glinted as she reached out for them and passed it to the Uchiha. "Add some spinach. It's nutritious."

Sasuke slowed took the vegetables from her and eyed them confusingly, wondering how would he stir fry the two ingredients together. Perhaps he needed oil, but he was sure his home had some. What seasoning was he supposed to add then? Was he supposed to boil the vegetables first?

Hinata lifted her brows a little when she caught the male staring aggressively at the bunch of spinach in his hand, as if he was thinking of ways to disfigure the beautiful fresh produce. "Sasuke-kun, do you not like spinach?"

"No." He replied.

"Oh… then maybe you can use beansprout instead?"

"I mean." Sasuke paused. "I'm okay with spinach. I'm thinking how do I stir fry them."

Hinata could deduce he was worse than her husband. At least Naruto could cook up some porridge or quick stir fry whenever she or her kids fell sick. But she thought it was normal at least, for someone who had been spending most of his time in another dimension.

"I've some recipe books I wrote down previously for Hanabi, would you want to take it home with you?" Hinata suggested, feeling a little sad for him.

"Is it hard to cook?" He questioned.

"Sarada and Sakura will definitely appreciate your cooking even if it did not turn out well. I'm more worried you might burn the kitchen. Sakura already has a hard time moving with her tendency to destroy. " She joked and laughed to herself.

"I can control fire." Sasuke retaliated softly.

"Here." She pulled a bag of tomatoes. "I heard from Sakura you like tomatoes! I've some recipes in my book that handles with them."

Maybe he could really do something nice for Sakura. He had heard her complimenting Hinata's cooking before, and if Sai had a book for himself regarding human's emotions previously, he could deal with having a book full of recipes.

"Thanks, Hinata."

"No worries." She smiled. "Anyways regarding Yuu's last name… why do you intend to put mine instead?" The memory of the Uchiha suggesting her son to be named under her flashed across her head.

"Shino and Iruka had mentioned that Yuu's last name would not be revealed to his classmates or anyone. Why would you want to use mine instead?"

Hinata pressed her lips at the return question. She just wanted the Uchiha clan to expand, and she knew through the conversations with Sakura that Sasuke always wanted to rebuild his clan's name but how was she going to put it out nicely without having to mention about the limited amount of people with the Uchiha's title?

"I…"

"Hyuga is good. Your father have two daughters and traditionally speaking, no one will be there to pass the name down. We can drop the tradition and let Yuu follow you," Sasuke explained.

Hinata could not help but to feel a sense of gratitude. She allowed the smile to flow to her face again as she chose to explain her side of her story. "I know that Sasuke-kun wants to rebuild the Uchiha Clan. Yuu can aid in that, in terms of having your name being carried down," she chuckled. "In case your future grandchildren have to take their father's last name instead. Or maybe you can have another child with Sakura-san," she finished her sentence off with a tease.

Sasuke stared at the female and couldn't help but to laugh slightly along with her. The thought for each other was mutual.

"It's okay Sasuke-kun, let Yuu be an Uchiha." Hinata assured, a hand grabbing onto another bunch of spring onions and handled it to him.

He nodded in acknowledgement as his soft lips stretched into a light smile and even though it did not reach his dark onyx eyes, it was still enough for Hinata to know that it was a mutual agreement for their son.

Yuu tagged along Boruto and Sarada as they made their way down the streets of Konoha. He felt slightly accomplished for making two other new friends of theirs. Shikadai and Inojin were nice to him, but the conversation everyone had around the table at the restaurant made him felt a sense of disconnection.

Maybe he was new to this circle of friends that he could not really understand the inside jokes they made once in a while. Yet, despite him trying to blend in, he still felt a little more comfortable sitting on the side and just listened.

"Sumire!" Chocho shouted, causing the entire group to stop in their tracks.

The purple haired female waved and ran towards them, greeting them politely. "What are you guys doing here?"

"We just had hamburgers." Boruto grinned, before turning to face Yuu. "By the way, remember that we must not tell my mother we had hamburgers, okay?"

"Ah, hai." Yuu nodded agreeingly. He lifted his head, this time round focussing on the new person. He thought she looked really nice, and for some reason he did not want to approach her.

"Who's this?" Sumire asked, returning the gaze Yuu was giving her.

"Uh… he's Yuu." Sarada said. "He's my half-brother."

"What?" The meek female gawked. "I've never heard you had a brother."

"Well…" Sarada wasn't sure what exactly was the proper way of introduction. Even though Yuu was similar to Mitsuki, she still found it hard to explain the origin of her brother.

"He's rather similar to Mitsuki." Boruto finished, noticing the trouble Sarada had.

Mitsuki smiled, adding in. "Orochimaru created him too. But he used Sarada's father's DNA instead."

"Wow." Sumire looked towards the quiet boy, before flashing a soft smile. "I'm Sumire."

Yuu stretched his hand out slowly, trying his best to calm the shaking hands as he took hers and gently shook it. He blinked a few times, brows knitted slightly as he tried to figure what exactly was he feeling. "I'm Yuu." He muttered, eyes darting around.

"Hm." The female nodded and let his hand go before continuing the conversations she was going to have with Boruto.

Yuu simply continued staring at them, the usual as to how he was like at the restaurant where he simply just listened instead. But Sumire was rather distracting him slightly, with the ways she spoke or smile alongside with Sarada and the rest. He could feel his face starting to heat up a little as he pondered about this odd magical feeling he was having.

Chocho observed the new friend of hers a little, before a smirk flashed across her face. She moved a little nearer to Yuu and nudged his arm.

"Yes?" Yuu quizzed, watching as Chocho cocked her brows cheekily.

She moved her pupils towards Sumire before returning back to Yuu. "Is it?"

"What?"

"Come on." Chocho closed her eyes and shrugged confidently. "Is it?"

Yuu was getting confused. "What is it?"

"You like… Sumire?" Chocho leaned in and whispered, not wanting to expose the secret of the male.

"Like?" The dark haired boy tilted his head a little.

"You don't know what's like?"

Yuu shook his head. "I like my dad, and I like being around you too, Chocho."

"That's a different like. You like Sumire… romantically. Like love. Just like my mum and my dad!" The tanned female explained. "You're looking at her differently. I can tell because I've received attention from guys too." She chuckled confidently.

"I love… Sumire?"

Yuu looked towards the female, still slightly confused about the idea of like but she sure was providing him something different. Maybe he should ask Mitsuki about the idea of liking someone, since they were both of the same creation. Or perhaps, he could ask his parent since Chocho had mentioned about her parents liking each other romantically.

He gotta had it solved.

"Kaa-chan, does the Hokage return home often?" Yuu questioned as he helped his mother to wash the dishes.

"Naruto-kun is a little busy on days." Hinata said, placing the cleaned dishes onto the drying rack. "He hasn't got a chance to properly talk to you, right?"

Yuu nodded lightly. "I haven't got a chance to greet him too."

"He will come home soon." She assured. "You can join Boruto in the room to play, I can handle it over here."

Dinner was pleasant, and it felt great to have home cook food. Orochimaru rarely cooked and Sugietsu wasn't the best in cooking. Yet, when he sat around the table he felt the same feeling he had when he was with everyone else at the restaurant. A sense of disconnection, as if he did not belong here.

"Kaa-chan…" Hesitating to put his thoughts forward, he paused a little. Maybe it was just him, or perhaps he was new that he had not gotten use to the way of living here that made him felt a little disconnected.

"Yes?"

"Ah… Had tou-san left already?" He changed the topic instantly after deciding not to dive deeper into his feelings.

Hinata stopped her washing for a brief moment, realizing that her son did not have a proper chance to bid his goodbye to his dad. Maybe this was how normally Sasuke would do before he go. Not saying goodbye, just like how he did to everyone years back. Maybe it was just him. Perhaps he was busy.

She nodded slowly and off the tap. "I guess so. He should have left by now." Cleaning her hands against her pants, she knelt down to face him. "He will be back soon."

"Do you think if I pass the Chunin exams, I can follow tou-san anywhere?"

Hinata lifted her brows a little. She was right. "Yuu, you seem eager to follow your father. Is there anything you want to see out there?"

The young male shrugged. Perhaps he just wanted to look for something, or somewhere where he felt belong. Konoha hadn't been providing him the feeling of home. He chose to believe as for now that he was still new, but for some reason he wanted to go beyond the gates, to somewhere unknown to search for a purpose.

"I…" He paused again. "Want to help tou-san!"

Hinata giggled a little and patted his head. "You're such a good child. Your father is one of the strongest person in this world. To be as strong as him takes time."

"Does this mean I will not be able to follow him?" He lowered his head and let out a sigh.

"You will, and I will help you with it, okay?" Her eyes squinted from the smile on her face.

"Really?"

"Yes." She replied. "We will go and visit your grandfather tomorrow."

"Grand…father?"

"My father, is your grandfather." She explained patiently as she stood up. "He's very strong too, and very strict when it comes to training. Do you think you can handle it?"

"Of course I can!" He beamed, eyes filled with eagerness. "I want to be as strong as kaa-chan and tou-san."

"You will be." Hinata said confidently. "I believe you definitely will be."

Hearing the assurance and encouragement coming from his mother, Yuu nodded happily "Hai!"

"Boruto and Himawari will follow us too. You can try your aunt's cooking tomorrow." Hinata felt a relief when she realized she did not have to prepare for dinner the next day. Perhaps she should do a quick bento for her husband before heading to the Hyuga's estate.

"Is she good in cooking?"

"Hmm…" Hinata shrugged, feeling a little confident in hers instead. "Boruto once said he preferred mine." She chuckled.

"I can't wait to see her." He commented, before the smile on his face fell a little. "Can I greet her as my aunt and my grandpa and my grandpa?"

A soft ache reached her chest when she heard the words from Yuu. The idea of stripping a kid's rights to acknowledge his family member seemed a little too harsh. "They know, so you can but not in public eyes. Yuu, are you bothered by this arrangement?"

The boy leaned against the kitchen counter and tilted his head to face the ceiling. "I would prefer to be able to greet you, but I understand that you guys are trying to protect me. So I promise I will be strong enough to greet you guys!"

The cheeriness within him made her felt a little more guilty than ever. "Yuu, thank you."

"Why are you thanking me, kaa-chan?"

"For being a good son to me." She smiled. "I'm sure your grandfather and your aunt will love you."

"Really?" His eyes lit up. Remembering the odd feeling he had for Sumire, and how Chocho had given him the idea of liking someone just like her parents, he thought he should probe. "Anyways, do you love tou-san?"
