Betty stared at the little stick in her hand with disbelieving eyes. She'd been feeling a bit funky since they'd returned to Riverdale, but she thought it was just the anxiety of the move and worrying that Louis could show up at any time. She'd taken the test mostly as a joke to herself, but the results on the stick were unmistakable - Pregnant.

"Oh no," she whispered, "This can't be happening. I need to-"

Betty threw up in the toilet and then sat back on the floor before grabbing her phone and dialed the first person she thought of.

"Hello?"

"I'm pregnant," Betty said.

"I'll be right there," Cheryl promised.

Betty was still on the floor of the bathroom when Cheryl burst her way into Archie's home. Archie was beyond confused to see her. As far as he was aware, Betty had gone up to her room to take a nap as she hadn't been feeling well.

"Cheryl, not that I'm not happy to see you," Archie stated, "But could you do us the courtesy of a knock, and keep it quiet? Betty's not feeling well. She's up in her room trying to nap."

"No time to talk," Cheryl cut him off, "You said Betty was upstairs. Got to run."

Cheryl's thundering footsteps alerted Betty to her presence before she even knocked. "Betts, it's me. Let me in."

"Is Archie out there with you?" Betty called out.

"Not yet, but you'd better let me in before he gets an idea to come up and check on us," Cheryl spoke softly.

Betty reached up to undo the lock and scooted away to let her in.

Cheryl slipped in and locked the door behind her before she sat down next to Betty, "It was positive?"

"Yes. I'm unmarried and pregnant. This has to be some kind of record. Shall we call the Guinness People? Apparently us Cooper women are incapable of getting pregnant the first time with a wedding ring."

"At least you're out of high school," Cheryl did her best to offer her comfort.

"That's a plus. Here's the minus: I'm not sure who the father is."

"Oh, Betty, no," Cheryl's heart sank with the ache she knew her friend was feeling.

"I mean, I have a pretty good idea that it's Archie's," Betty stammered, "I was on birth control when I was with Louis, but I went off it when I ran to Archie's dorm room, mostly because I forgot them in the bathroom on my hurry to get out of town."

"But you're not one hundred percent certain," Cheryl frowned.

"Remember when I told you Archie and I got together one night, it was for comfort. He made me feel safe, and it was what I needed so desperately in that moment," Betty explained.

"Oh God," Cheryl said.

"I'm a big fat slut," Betty said.

"You're not fat," Cheryl shook her head.

"Thank you," Betty rolled her eyes, "Cher, what am I going to do?"

"First we make sure the test you took is right," Cheryl pointed to her test. "We'll go to Greendale and see someone at the family planning clinic."

"Yeah, that's a good idea," Betty bobbed her head.

"Then we tell Archie," Cheryl replied.

"What?! No!" Betty cried out.

"Betty, you have to tell him," Cheryl encouraged her, "Whether he's the father or not, he's going to want to support you."

"I just can't, not yet," Betty's hand fell to her stomach.

"Okay, first thing first," Cheryl pulled out her phone and make a quick appointment in Greendale. She used her name because when it's Cheryl Blossom calling, people tend to bend over backwards to accommodate her. They assured her that they would be waiting whenever she and Betty showed up.

"How are we getting out of here without Archie getting suspicious?" Betty asked. She had a sudden eureka moment, "Wait, I have an idea. Just follow my lead."

"Okay," Cheryl responded hesitantly as the pair emerged from the bathroom just as Archie was about to knock on the door.

"Everything okay in there?" Archie looked between the two in confusion.

"No, actually we're on the way to the doctor," Betty stated as everyone descended the staircase.

"What? Are you okay?" Archie's voice was filled with concern.

"Yes, I'm totally fine. It's for Cheryl. She thinks she might have the clap," Betty stated.

"I…what?" Cheryl protested until Betty shot her a look. "Oh, right. It was a one night stand several months back. Toni and I were going through some drama. I'd really appreciate it if you didn't tell her."

"Oh, he won't," Betty assured her friend, "He's the best secret keeper there is."

"Uh, yeah, sure," Archie shifted uncomfortably. He already knew way more than he was comfortable knowing.

"Now that you know for sure, are you going to tell Archie?" Cheryl drove Betty back to the Andrews' house after her appointment which confirmed she was indeed with child. They'd even been able to put her mind at ease and give her an approximate conception and due date. It was without a doubt Archie's child.

"Yes, definitely," Betty inhaled deeply.

"And you're also going to tell him I don't have the clap and never cheated on Toni," Cheryl's familiar snippy tone came out.

"Yes, I'll clear that up immediately, I promise," Betty said.

"I think you owe me an answer to the question of my choice," Cheryl smirked.

"I'm going to regret this, but go ahead," Betty said.

"What's Archie like in bed?"

"Oh god," Betty's head fell forward as she pinched the bridge of her nose as the car came to a stop in the driveway, "Really, I have to answer that question? What does it matter? He's totally not your type."

"Doesn't mean I'm not curious," Cheryl hit the door lock so Betty couldn't escape the vehicle.

"I can't believe you never asked Veronica about this," Betty frowned.

"I never felt comfortable asking her."

"But you feel comfy asking me?"

"We're family," Cheryl pointed out.

"Fine," Betty sighed as she reached to unlock her door. "He's amazing."

"Nope, need more," Cheryl locked the door again when Betty tried to make her escape.

"Cheryl, seriously," Betty shot her a look, "Do you want a blow by blow?"

"No, but something more than amazing," Cheryl insisted.

"He's attentive and sweet," Betty had to work really hard on not blushing, "He's cautious too. He kept asking if I was sure."

"That's honestly kind of disappointing," Cheryl snorted.

"Well, it was just that one time right after I left school. I was emotional. It was more about comfort than attraction," Betty replied.

"You mean you two haven't since..." Cheryl frowned in confusion.

"We're taking things slow," Betty explained.

"Wow, you better speed that up," Cheryl advised her, "I mean Toni and I aren't quite there yet, but I've been reading that the fourth month hormones are a bitch if you're scratching it all on your own."

"Ew, Cheryl, I don't want that image in my head," Betty finally forced her way out of the vehicle.

"Call me later," Cheryl called. "I want details on the ginger's reaction."

"I promise," Betty smiled, "Hey, Cher, thanks for coming with me and holding my hand. I really needed the support."

"You're welcome," Cheryl hollered.

Betty took a deep breath as she entered the house. Archie was in his office working on the books for his business. He was still getting into the swing of things, but he felt like he was getting a handle on the administrative side of things.

"Hey, Babe," Archie looked up when Betty entered the office, "Did things go okay for Cheryl at the doctor?"

"We weren't there for Cheryl," Betty said. "Um, she never slept with anyone other than Toni. We were there for me."

"Betts, are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I'm just a tiny bit pregnant," she said.

Archie's face froze in surprise. "You're what?"

"Pregnant," she felt tears well in her eyes.

"Oh my god, Betty," Archie was quickly out of his chair as he raced towards her, "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I took a home test here. I majorly freaked out, so I called Cheryl. She went with me to the doctor's office in Greendale to confirm it," Betty replied.

Archie inhaled deeply, "Okay, we'll get through this. Whatever you want to do, whatever you want me to do, I'll do it." He wiped his hand down his face as he processed the news. "How far along are you? Do we need to do a paternity test?"

"No, there's no need to do a test," Betty shook her head as she took his hand. "Sleeping with a guy that's knocked me around didn't exactly appeal to me, so the amount of time between the last time I slept with him and the only time you and I did is enough of a margin to know for sure that the baby's yours."

"Thank God," Archie breathed and then there was a long pause. A million things suddenly flooded Archie's mind, but he couldn't make sense of any of it. It's like his brain had suddenly developed a new and confusing language.

"Tell me what's in your head right now. Do I need to leave you alone for a bit so you can take some time with this? I will. I'll go next door or to Pop's if you want to be alone."

"No," Archie gave her hand a squeeze, "I want you right here with me."

Betty smiled nervously.

"You've caught me a bit off guard," he admitted, "We've never really talked about that night. Obviously, we slept together, but was it too soon? Did I take advantage of you?"

"What? No," Betty assured him, "You were exactly what I needed that night. You were gentle, and I felt safe with you. It was exactly what I needed. Things with me and Louis had been going so bad for so long that I needed to be reminded there are good men in the world."

"Are you calling me a man?" he teased, quoting an old movie she'd made him watch a million times hoping she'd smile.

It worked as she squeezed his hand, "I know this is the last thing on our minds right now-"

"Yeah, it's a little ahead of schedule," Archie interrupted her.

"Schedule? You've had thoughts about this?"

"Of course, I've thought about it," he told her, "You and I are in a relationship, albeit, a relatively new one, but we're in a different relationship than any other I've been in. You and I have been in a relationship of sorts for most of our lives. I guess I see what we have now as an evolution of what we started with. What I'm trying to say is that what our relationship is now feels more special, more permanent than anything I've ever been in before."

Betty looked at him for a moment before she dropped her purse and kissed him, her arms wrapping tight around his neck.

"What's that for?" he caressed her cheek tenderly.

"For being wonderful," she smiled, "I came in and dropped this massive bomb on you that is going to change both our lives in seven and a half months. I was so nervous, thinking maybe you'd be mad. In reality, you're being so supportive."

Archie grinned at her, "I hope you know that I love you."

"I had an inkling," Betty smiled through the tears she felt welling in her eyes. "I love you, too."

"Are you hungry?" he asked, "We should get you something to eat."

"Crackers," she waved away the emotions she was feeling and focused on the food he was offering, "I think that's all my stomach can tolerate right now."

"Crackers it is," Archie nodded. "Go sit, I'll be right there."

Betty sat on the couch, leaning back against it and breathing calmly.

Archie returned with a full box of crackers and a glass of water. It was in that moment that it fully hit him that he was going to be a father. His eyes landed on a picture of him next to his father on the mantle. It nearly brought tears to his eyes. His father would have loved the idea of being a grandfather.

"Frederick Andrews II," Betty said quietly, watching him.

"What?" Archie was startled from his thoughts as he set the crackers and water beside her as he sat down.

"If it's a boy," Betty reached for his hand and brought it to her stomach, "We should name him after your father."

"Would you be okay with that?" Archie smiled.

"Absolutely," Betty nodded, "I am just sorry he won't be around for this, Arch."

"Yeah, me too," Archie bobbed his head, "I've been thinking a lot about him lately. I mean, he should have been at my college graduation, and now I'm running his company."

"And now the baby," Betty caressed his hand that laid gently against her stomach.

"He would be so excited to be a grandfather," Archie felt the tears welling in his eyes again.

"Yes, he would," Betty smiled through the tears she didn't even try to hold back, "He'd be the proudest grandfather there ever was."

"Is it too soon to tell people?"

"Let's wait until I'm out of my first trimester," Betty said. "Then we can start telling people, but if you want, I'm okay with telling your dad."

"Will you come with me?" Archie asked, "If you're feeling up to it, I mean."

"Yes, let's go see him but we have to stop at a florist on the way," Betty replied. Archie looked to her for an explanation. "The proud grandpa deserves some flowers."

"Yeah, okay," he brought her hand to his lips.

"Before I forget, no matter what I may say in the next eight months, you're pretty wonderful. Archie," Betty grinned.

"Say whatever you have to," he chuckled, "I can take it."

"I'll keep that in mind," Betty smiled. "Let's go."

Archie pulled into the parking lot of the cemetery and cut the engine. Betty could see the anxiety on his face as she clutched the blue buttercup flowers in her hand they'd made a quick stop for along the way.

"Are you doing okay, Archie?" Betty reached for his hand.

"Yeah," he pulled the keys from the ignition. "I actually came here quite a bit when I was home on break. I liked to talk to him about what's going on in my life."

"When was the last time you were here?" she asked.

"Just after I won the national championship. My coach was able to swing a second medal that I could give my dad," he swallowed hard, "I owed so much of that win to him. He was my first coach, and he was always supportive of me, even when I'm beating the crap out of the punching bag at three o'clock in the morning when life went sideways. Even though he wasn't in the stands, he was there. I had the medal added to his tombstone."

"I was so proud of you," Betty reached to touch his arm.

"I still can't believe you didn't tell me you where there," he looked at her.

"It'd been a long time since we'd seen each other," she reminded him, "I wasn't sure you'd want to see me."

"No matter how long we're separated, I will always want to see you," he brought her hand to his lips and climbed from the truck and then made his way around to help her out. "I don't want to turn this into some weepy, blubbering mess of a visit."

"I can't promise that, Arch. Cheryl warned me that my hormones will be a bit out of whack," Betty took his hand and slid off the seat.

"I meant me," Archie frowned.

Betty gave him a kiss, "I won't tell if you don't."

"Thanks, Babe," he tugged her towards his father's tombstone.

"Arch, is that," Betty paused and gestured to Fred's grave. There was another person standing at the graveside.

"Mister Jones?" Archie called.

The older man turned. He was in civilian clothes, jeans, a leather jacket, and holding his helmet at his side.

FP's current attire made Archie think of the night of the riots in high school.

"Hey, Red. Betty," he grinned.

"Hey, FP," Betty waved, "Sorry to interrupt. We can leave."

"Don't be ridiculous," FP scoffed, "You both have as much right to be here as anyone. I'll go."

"Actually, why don't you two chat?" Betty laid the flowers next to Fred's tombstone as her phone rang, "I should get this anyways. It's Kevin."

"Tell him I say 'hi'," Archie requested.

"I will," Betty nodded. She walked away and left the guys staring at each other in awkward silence for a few moments.

Archie cleared his throat and then asked, "Come here often?"

"Not as much as I should," FP shook his head. "Today felt I needed to talk to an old friend."

"Yeah, I know the feeling," Archie knelt down and touched the stone.

"How about you?"

"Whenever I was back in town during school," Archie shrugged, "I haven't visited since Betty and I got back to town."

"Heard anymore from Betty's ex?" FP asked.

"Nothing since he showed up at my front door after JB gave him the intel," Archie replied, "Still makes us both a bit nervous."

"JB and I talked about that," FP said, "She won't be giving information to strangers anymore."

"Honest mistake," Archie shook his head, "We're not mad."

"You always see the best in people," FP said, "Freddy was like that, too. Did he ever tell you about the day we really became friends?"

Archie shook his head, "No."

"It was junior year of high school. Marty Mantle was trying to get me to fulfill a Bulldog tradition."

"Do I want to know?"

"Streaking," FP shook his head. "I'm trying to get out of it because my arm was in a cast when your dad volunteers to go with me. He said, 'Run fast enough and all they'll see is a blur'."

"Oh god," Archie chuckled, "I don't even want to know the rest."

"He was the best friend a guy like me could have ever had," FP stated, "He kept me out of as much trouble as he could."

"Really?" Archie raised a brow.

"I said as much as he could," FP replied, "He's not superhuman, and that's what it would have taken to keep me out of all the trouble I got into."

"Fair point," Archie snorted.

"I drove him to the hospital the day you were born," FP smiled. "He was shaking so bad he couldn't hold his car keys. I waited around for him because your Uncle Frank and grandparents were out of town. I figured he should have someone there to congratulate him when you finally came into the world.

"I wonder why he never told me those stories," Archie ran his hand through his hair. He could certainly relate to the emotion at the moment.

"He probably would have when you got around to having your own," FP looked over at Betty, "If it happens with her, call me before you try driving yourself to the hospital."

Archie looked away for a moment. FP translated the evasive look correctly. "Archie Andrews, is there a bun in the Cooper oven?"

"Are you packing heat?" Archie asked.

"No," FP said.

"I'm still not answering the question."

"I guess the proper question would be, did you put the bun in her oven?" FP asked.

"You can't say anything to Alice. Betty wants to wait to tell people when she's a bit further along in the pregnancy, but yes, she's pregnant, and yes, it's mine."

"Stand up," FP said.

"Oh God," Archie murmured as he got to his feet. He faced FP, remembering senior year when Jug had slugged him after finding out he'd kissed Betty.

"Congratulations," FP put his hand out and grinned.

"Really? That's it?" Archie shook his hand.

"Jug might have a different reaction, but I've seen the two of you together since you were pipsqueak little kids. I always knew the two of you would get together," FP replied, "I think Jug saw it the same way."

"He took it pretty well when he found out we were living together," Archie shrugged.

"Living together is one thing," FP said, "A child is different."

Archie looked at Betty and smiled, "Yeah, I know."

"I know she's not ready, but when she is, there better be a story about you getting down on one knee," the older man said.

"Yeah, I'd already be on one knee if it wasn't for what she went through with Louis." Archie replied.

"Good, because blood or not, she's my daughter same as JB," FP said.

"Yeah, I know," Archie bobbed his head.

"I'd better get going. Alice and I were going out for a ride when I got back," FP stated.

"Tell her we say 'hi'," Archie nodded.

"I will," FP nodded. He raised a hand to wave goodbye to Betty and walked away.

Archie looked back at the grave, "If you were listening, I guess you heard that. You're going to be a grandpa, Dad."

Archie sat himself down in front of the stone and gave his father a rundown of all that had happened in his life since he'd last visited. "Man, I was not expecting today to be the day I found out I'm going to be a father, but dang it if I'm not as happy as I think I've ever been."

He looked over at Betty who was pacing back and forth shaking her head as she talked into her phone before he looked back at the headstone, "I wonder what you'd be saying right now. Probably something along the lines of 'be careful with her, Arch. She's dealing with more than you are right now.' I'm trying my best, Dad. Somehow, I think you'd have seen right through the story she and Cheryl gave me to get out of the house to see the doctor before even if you pretended to buy it."

Betty finally ended her call and returned to Archie's side, kneeling next to him. "Am I interrupting?"

"Not at all," Archie smiled. "How's Kev?"

"He's good," Betty replied, "He's coming to Riverdale for a visit soon."

"Good," Archie smiled.

"Yeah, he needs a mini vacation after his latest attempt at stardom crashed."

"Oh, no, another part fell through?" Archie smiled.

"Yeah, he's having some pretty bad luck," Betty replied, "He's admitted that it's not as easy in LA as he anticipated."

"What's with him and Fangs?"

"I think they're still together or at least friends with benefits," Betty said. "Should we be talking about this in front of your dad?"

"He's more open minded than you think," Archie chuckled.

"Did you tell him about our name choice?"

"Haven't gotten that far yet," Archie took her hand. "FP knows about the baby."

"How?"

"He was telling me a story and it kind of came out. Are you mad?"

"No, as long as he doesn't tell my mom."

"He won't," Archie replied, "I told him we were waiting. I trust him."

"Yeah, I do too," she bobbed her head.

"Good," Archie smiled, "He thinks of you as his daughter."

Plopping down on her backside, she wrapped his arm around her shoulders to ward off any chill and leaned her head against his chest.

"Dad, if we have a boy, I hope you'll be honored that we're naming him after you," Archie pulled Betty closer, his hand falling to her abdomen. Archie's voice was thick with emotion and the tears welled in his eyes. He hadn't felt the loss of his father this hard in a long time.

Betty caressed his cheek with a gentle smile on her face, letting him know that his emotions were appropriate. Archie swallowed past the lump in his throat as the tears flowed. He wasn't ashamed of them anymore. They didn't make him feel weak. If anything, with Betty at his side he felt stronger than ever. Neither knew how much time had passed. When Archie pulled Betty to her feet, they were surrounded by darkness, with nothing put the stars above them and the distant streetlight in the cemetery parking lot to guide them.

Archie's arms tightened around the woman laying next to him in response to hearing the front door slam open downstairs. He and Betty were spending a lazy day in bed after the emotions of the previous day where they discovered they were going to be parents. He still wasn't comfortable in his parents' old room, so they continued to use his old room for the time being, making sure the blinds were completely closed so any snooping eyes from next door wouldn't get an eyeful.

"Were we supposed to be somewhere today?" Betty heard the pounding of footsteps up the stairs. She had zero thought of Louis being the one in the house.

"I don't think so," he frowned in confusion as he pulled on a pair of flannel pants and made his way to the door. Unlike Betty, thoughts of Louis were always in the back of his mind. He glanced around the room to find some sort of makeshift weapon but came up empty.

"Betty Cooper, you promised you'd call me, so you'd better have a really good excuse for not," Cheryl's voice broke through the tension.

Betty smiled softly, shaking her head, "Arch, can you toss me a shirt?"

"I'm sure Cheryl's seen you topless," Archie threw an Andrews Construction shirt to her and pulled open the door, "Hi, Cheryl. How's it going?"

"Don't you dare, 'Hi, Cheryl' me," Cheryl waved a finger in a threatening manner. "Where's my cousin, you ginger haired menace?"

"Here, Cherry," Betty called, "You okay?"

Cheryl poked her head in, "I'm annoyed. You were supposed to call me yesterday after you gave Archie the news."

"Oh sorry," Betty looked appropriately guilty, "We sort of got sidetracked."

"You do seem to have that wild sex hair thing going on, so it looks like things might have gone well," Cheryl looked relieved, and then turned to Archie, "You're doing right by my cousin, aren't you?"

"Yes, he is," Betty said.

"Good, but if he doesn't at some point, we still have barrels in the barn on the grounds at Thornhill," Cheryl said.

"Good to know," Archie cleared his throat nervously.

Betty rolled her eyes, "Give us a few minutes to get dressed. We'll all go out for breakfast together."

"It's ten o'clock in the morning," Cheryl flashed her watch, "I think we're past breakfast service."

"Then we'll have breakfast for lunch," Betty shrugged.

"Sounds good," Cheryl pulled out her phone and began texting her beloved, "I'll see if Toni wants to join us."

"Good idea. We'll meet you there," Archie smiled, closing the door on Cheryl, "So much for not leaving the bed today."

Betty got on her knees and motioned him closer. He obliged and came to stand in front of her, smiling when she put her hands on his shoulders.

"I'm sorry, but there were a lot of times I wouldn't have made it through without her," Betty said.

"I know," he wrapped his arms around her waist, "We can spare a few hours."

"There she is," Betty pointed when Toni walked into Pop's, "Toni, over here."

"Sorry, I tried to stop her from bursting in, but you know how she gets when she's on a mission," Toni apologized for her fiancée as she took a seat, "I told her you were probably celebrating. Be thankful I held her at bay for as long as I did. She nearly came over at five o'clock this morning."

"Did you tell her?" Betty asked.

"No, she guessed," Cheryl replied, "I can't lie to her. She can see right through me."

"Just keep it to yourself for a few more months, okay, Toni?" Betty requested.

"No problem," Toni smiled and zipped her lips. "If anyone understands the need to keep something like this under wraps, it's me. How are you feeling?"

"Okay, so far. What about you?"

Toni's smiled brightened, "I'm fine, at least for the moment. Ask me again in ten minutes. You might get a different answer. I can't wait to hold him or her."

"Any names?" Archie asked.

"Not yet," Cheryl said.

"Not true," Toni said.

"We don't have to-" Cheryl said.

"If it's a boy, Jason," Toni said.

"Frederick for us," Betty leaned against Archie as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her close, his lips kissing her temple.

"Are you two following us down the aisle?" Toni asked the pair.

"No," Betty shook her head, "We haven't even discussed anything like that. We were both just so floored by the news we got yesterday. That's been our main focus."

"But you're coming to our wedding?" Toni asked.

"I'm Cheryl's maid of honor," Betty smiled, "If I don't come, the second I give birth Cheryl will kill me."

"True story," Cheryl replied.

"We'll be there," Archie promised.

The waiter came to take everyone's order. Betty's stomach still didn't feel up for much beyond tea and toast.

"First trimester is the worst," Toni assured Betty, "I am nauseous all the time. It's gotten better as I get closer to my second trimester."

"I can't believe you guys are having a baby," Archie smiled.

"Or babies, as Betty pointed out," Toni smirked.

"We've been planning for a long time," Cheryl grasped her love's hand and gave it a squeeze.

"Any word from Penelope?" Betty asked.

"Who even cares," Cheryl rolled her eyes, "That woman is a total stranger to me."

Betty frowned, "I'm sorry, Cheryl."

"The one thing that really bothers me is that our baby won't have such a special relationship like I did with my grandma."

Betty slid her hand into Archie's, knowing one of his regrets was their baby not having a grandfather.

"Maybe your baby can have a Nana Alice," Betty offered, "I'd be willing to share."

"Thanks for the offer, Cousin," Cheryl smiled.

"Standing offer," Betty told her.

"I know how you feel, Cheryl," Archie said quietly.

"I know you do," Cheryl gave him a sympathetic look.

When the food arrived, the heavy tone of the conversation shifted to discussions of Toni and Cheryl's upcoming nuptials.

"Are you wearing a dress?" Betty asked.

"Heck yeah," Toni replied, "I've picked out my dress already. It's awesome."

"And Fangs?"

"Tux is already done."

"So, what's left?" Betty asked.

"We're still negotiating on the band," Cheryl replied, "And we're having a hard time finding a decent photographer."

"I can play music to get you down the aisle," Archie volunteered.

"Hmm, that's an idea," Cheryl gave the idea some thought, "I actually kind of like the idea of someone close to us playing at the ceremony."

"What are you charging, Andrews?" Toni asked.

"I'll do it for free if you can keep your fiancée from busting into my house again without so much as a knock," Archie replied, "She's lucky I don't keep a bat on the second level. She nearly gave me a heart attack."

"Oh my god, I totally forgot," Cheryl's face blanched, "In all the excitement, I completely forgot about Betty's deranged ex. I'm so sorry."

"Only Archie's mind went there," Betty assured her cousin. "I figured it was you."

"Next time clue me in," Archie kissed Betty's temple.

"Next time my cousin is going to knock," Betty stared Cheryl down.

"Message received," Cheryl assured them both.
