"Ah, there's my protégé!" Anna cried while giving Ananias a great, big slap on the back, earning her a surprised and pain-filled yelp from her son. "Are you ready for our regularly scheduled mother and son bonding time?"

Giving his mother an annoyed look, Ananias released an exasperated sigh as he tried to tenderly rub the spot where his mother had lovingly and innocently slapped him. "Since when was our mother and son bonding time scheduled?" he asked, straining a bit from trying to reach the spot where his mother had slapped him, which was a particularly difficult area to reach, for him at least.

After wincing apologetically, Anna gave her son a small and sympathetic smile before physically telling her son to relax so that she could rub the spot for him. After it seemed like Ananias was relieved from most of the pain she had good-naturedly given him, Anna giggled, gave the spot a few comforting taps, punched the side of his arm playfully, and lightly, and answered, "Since whenever the two of us have some time to spare, silly!"

Ananias frowned. "That's not," he returned Anna's punch with a playful punch of his own, thought the playfulness was somewhat mitigated by the fact that his face was still as solemnly expressionless as it usually was, "how you use the word 'scheduled'."

Anna rolled her eyes as she waved the statement down. "Oh, lighten up! Honestly, you're more obsessed with specifics than I am about money, and that's saying something, because I love my money!"

Ananias blushed a bit as he averted his eyes to the side shamefacedly. "Whatever," he muttered. He then turned back to his mother and asked, "Look, I appreciate the fact that you want to teach me the family trade, but… are you really going to give me another lesson after how bad the last eight lessons went?"

Anna gave her son another small and sympathetic smile and shook her head. "No, of course not. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd never condone giving up, but that shouldn't mean that we have to be unrealistic about it. After those last eight lessons, I think it's safe to say that you're just not cut out to be a merchant, but don't worry, that's okay! There are plenty other ways you could contribute to the family business."

Ananias looked from side to side apprehensively, before nervously asking, "Like…?"

Anna smiled happily before grabbing her son's hand and dragging him back to the shop, much to his surprise. She then left a confused Ananias outside the shop to go to the back alone and retrieve something, and when she finally came back, she was holding a large and thin piece of wood with big, red letters plastered onto it.

She handed it to Ananias, who inspected it for a moment and read, "Come to Anna's Shop, where we sell EVERYTHING!" He looked back up to Anna and asked, "What is this?"

Anna indicated towards the board enthusiastically and cried, "Ta-da! It's an advertisement!"

Ananias' eyes widened in surprise. "An advertisement?"

Anna nodded. "Yep!" She placed her index finger on her face and explained, "I realized that dealing with products was too complex of a job for someone as obsessed with details as you, so I decided to give you something simpler to work with! See, aren't I clever?"

Trying to ignore the somewhat backhanded, but most likely unintentional, insult directed towards him, Ananias simply shrugged his shoulders, and answered, "I guess."

"Well, why don't you give it a try then?" Anna suggested, motioning for Ananias to give her a trial run. "Come on sweetie, promote me!"

After taking a moment to blink awkwardly, Ananias slowly positioned the sign in the exact way it needed to be facing in order to properly promote whatever it was meant to advertise, and awkwardly and shyly cried out, "Come to Anna's Shop… where we sell everything."

Anna frowned. "Um… sweetie?"

Already knowing how poorly he was doing, Ananias blushed, and asked, "Yeah?"

"Could you try crying out a teensy bit louder?" Anna encouraged, using her fingers to kindly and playfully help her convey how much louder her son needed to be in order to properly promote the family shop. "Especially the parts that are in capital letters and with the explanation point at the end of it?"

Ananias looked back at the sign to get one last reminder of what it said before giving his mother an obedient nod. "Y-Yeah, sure." He cleared his throat before giving it another try. "Come to Anna's Shop," he murmured, "where we sell," he took a deep breath, "EVERYTHING!" he bellowed. He then looked towards his mother to find that his mother was giving him a surprised and shocked look. He shuffled his feet anxiously. "Was… was that better?" he asked.

Anna shrugged after taking a moment to regain her composure. "W-Why don't we try something else, okay sport?" She held her chin and racked her brain for alternative ways for her son to advertise her shop's name. When she finally thought of something that might just work, she snapped her fingers triumphantly and suggested, "How about you just try dancing around with the sign and getting people's attention? That way, they'll read what the sign says themselves."

Ananias looked from side to side apprehensively before giving his mother an equally apprehensive look. Had she never met him before? "Um…," he began, "I don't think-"

"Oh hush," Anna said, waving his argument down with a dismissive wave of her hand. "This is perfect! Now go on, dance with the sign, and don't forget to smile!"

Seriously? She wanted him to smile too? Ah well, he should at least try. Ananias did an awkward jig with the sign and stretched his mouth just as awkwardly. When he saw his mother look at him strangely, he stopped dancing, shook his head in frustration and defeat, and stated, "This isn't going to work."

Anna frowned and shook her head defiantly. "Oh, come on! I know you can do better than that!" She walked up to her son and tried stretching his cheeks out in the hopes that that would help him smile easier. "Come on sweetie! I know you're not the most expressive person in the world, but I've seen you smile before! It's not THAT foreign to you! Come on, smile for mommy."

Ananias gave his mother an annoyed look and gently swatted her hands away from his cheeks, before saying, "I would, but there's nothing to smile about!"

Anna rubbed the bridge of her nose and let out an exhausted sigh. "Okay, then just imagine something you'd be happy about, like finally getting this right, or being able to make a sale, or-"

"Agh!" Ananias cried, much to Anna's surprise (and everyone else who happened to be around at the moment), and she was even more surprised when she saw Ananias break the board in half with his knee in frustrated, pent-up anger. "I don't need to think about things that I already know I'm bad at!" Having lost complete control over his words and actions, he pointed to his mother angrily and added, "And I don't need you of all people to remind me!"

He then stormed off, muttering under his breath as Anna simply stood there, wide-eyed and shocked at what had just transpired. Anna took deep breaths in an attempt to recompose herself, but the shock was all too great. Did that really just happen? Did her usually cool, collected, and cute, though admittedly dull and expressionless, son just lose control, and with her of all people? She knelt down in order to pick up the broken remains of the sign her son had broken in his sudden burst of anger. Upon noticing just how thoroughly destroyed the sign had been, she placed her hand over her heart in another attempt to calm her nerves and murmured, "Oh dear… I might have overdone it."

Author's Note #1: Uh oh, looks like there's a bit of trouble in paradise. Ananias' got a bit of a rare temper tantrum this time around. They're obviously going to make amends, but what exactly triggered this rare occurrence? Did I make it clear enough for you this support/chapter? Hopefully I did. If I didn't, then at least the next chapter/support will at least make things a bit clearer. I hope this will pique your interests until then.

Author's Note #2: The next supports will be Female Robin, Male Robin, Father, Tan'bay, Lucina, Gerome, Nah, Cynthia, Noire, Kjelle, Zephyra, Lumaria, Yarne, Laurent, and then Brady.
