Sialeeds sighed as she stared out her bedroom window. She could barely see the stars and the moon that night with the rain pouring heavily. She couldn't sleep--the wine in the royal kitchen had mysteriously disappeared, keeping her completely sober. And awake.

"Dammit," she cursed softly. Aside from drinking, sleeping was her other favorite pastime.

But she knew--although she'll never admit it to anyone, even to herself--that wasn't the real reason why she couldn't sleep.

He was still out there. She knew he'd be safe in whatever town he is in right now--he was a Queen's Knight, after all--but still, she couldn't help but worry.

Was he sleeping soundly on a warm bed? Did he carry enough cheesecakes to last him the entire trip? Those kind of thoughts came in her mind every now and then, and it was driving her nuts!

She was still unsure of what kind of feelings she had for that man. They didn't get along sometimes, but she couldn't help but feel a certain fondness towards him. Was she attracted to him? Maybe. He was quite handsome, with a strong build that was common in warriors like him. He's a good man too--honest, loyal, and kind. What she didn't like was his lack of courtesy, especially towards her. But thinking about it now, she realized she didn't mind. She kind of liked it, too.

A commotion outside snapped her out of her reverie. She quietly stood from her place by the window and headed towards the door. Her maids had gone off to rest, leaving the hallway deadly quiet and deserted.

She had an idea just what the commotion might be about, although she wasn't quite sure. She made her way through the deserted hallway and stopped in front of the double doors that would give her a clear view of the entire main hall of the Sun Palace.

She gently placed her hands on the handle and pushed the door slightly.
From the small gap she was able to see two distinct figures standing in the middle of the hall. One of them, her brother-in-law Ferid, was reading a letter, his bushy brows knit together as if in deep thought. The other one was him. He had his back to her, and she could see that he was dripping wet. Although she was slightly disappointed that she couldn't see his face, she was very glad that he had come back safe.

"Someone is spying on you," Ferid said with a knowing smirk on his face, his eyes never leaving the letter.

George couldn't help but grin. "The wine ran out again?"
