Me: (Half asleep) You know what? There's some serious lack of LegaultxHeath right about now…
Random Friend: Yeah… there used to be so much but now people just seem to have stopped writing it… maybe you should write some.
Me: Eh? Ok I will.
Random Friend: Yay!
Me: (Now more awake) Wait, what?
And that's pretty much how this fic came into existence.

We all have first impressions of the people that we meet; but I, unlike most people, have the misfortune of getting them horribly wrong. Take commander Vaida for example, when I first me her I thought she was pretty, kind and – well you get the idea.
When I was younger my parents told me, "Heath, you have to stop being so trusting of everyone you meet, one day you're going to get yourself kidnapped.' And of course said kidnapping never actually happened. If I were kidnapped I'd probably be scarred for life and paranoid.
Ok, well maybe I am a little paranoid as of now but really, Bern soldiers could be right around the next corner… and the fact that we're absolutely nowhere near Bern does not need to be brought up.
When I joined this army I tried to push the thoughts of 'Are these people working for Bern?' and 'I bet they're trying to kill me.' To one side, but I was still asking the questions about what they were really like. So I began to have my little first impressions again.
But you know, it's hard enough to tell what people are like by spending a few days with them when they are actually acting normal. It's even harder when certain thieves decide that they'll act like someone completely different just for the hell of it.
I speak of course of Legault, former Black Fang, The Hurricane or whatever you care to call him.
That's another thing my parents told me, "You should never trust thieves son."
But seriously, Legault just seemed so nice, he was the first person to talk to me when I joined this army… aside Mark when he gave me orders during the battle of course.
"Hello, my names Legault. I'd offer to introduce you to everyone but I'm kind of new here myself." He told me sheepishly.
"That's ok, I'm Heath by the way." Our conversation was short, soon the lords had returned from wherever it was that they had been and we were informed that we would be staying in Castle Ostia for the night. I was assigned a room and shown to it by a guard.
I was unpacking the few things I had when Legault decided to pay me a visit.
"I'm in the room opposite, so if you need anything just knock."
"Yeah I will."
"Oh, and one last thing."
Before I could protest, in fact, before I even knew what was going on Legault, sweet innocent Legault, had his body pressed against mine not to mention his lips and his fingers were combing through my hair.
That was when I realised that the way he had been acting towards me earlier had just been – well – acting; and I realised that once again my first impression had been wrong.
He pulled away and smirked. I had absolutely no idea what to say, possibly because I had no idea whether of not that had actually just happened, so I just stood there with my jaw hanging open, trying to pull myself together.
"I guess I'll see you later then." He laughed as he exited the room leaving me staring at the now closed door.
Well so much for innocence…
And so much for first impressions…

Am I the only one that can see Legault acting innocent to get his way with Heath? Yes? No? Probably… ah well.
