"Lady Elise, are you feeling alright?" Ananias asked upon seeing the princess let out a long and drawn own yawn. "Didn't you get enough sleep last night?"

Elise shook her head. "No," she drowsily admitted. "Not really."

Ananias sighed. "Lady Elise, you know that it never looks good when royalty yawns in front of others, right?"

"I know that!" Elise insisted defensively. "I was just up all night working on something important, that's all!"

Ananias gave her a funny look. "And what exactly could be so important for you to lose sleep over like that?" he asked, a bit apprehensive over what type of answer he was going to receive as he did.

Elise giggled. "Oh, it's nothing really. Just," she proudly took out a piece of paper from her dress and held it up for him to see, "a 'Taguel Restoration Proclamation'!"

Ananias slowly took the piece of paper from her hands and examined it closely. "A 'Taguel Restoration Proclamation'?"

Elise nodded. "Yep! With this, and hopefully with the kingdom of Ylisse's cooperation, we could take a whole bunch of steps towards restoring and repopulating the entire Taguel species! And since you've been there before, I'm sure we could send it to Ylisse, no problem!"

Ananias nodded understandingly. "I see." He handed the proclamation back to her.

"So?" Elise asked. "What do you think? Pretty cool, right?"

Ananias nodded. "Yeah, but do you really think that the Nohr can really afford to help another species in another faraway kingdom when our kingdom isn't exactly in the best shape itself? I mean, we're in the middle of a war here. Shouldn't we at least wait until we've dealt with that first before going out of our way and sharing our resources with someone else?"

Elise's face fell upon hearing this and immediately understanding what Ananias was saying. "Oh, right. I guess I never thought about it like that."

"It was a nice idea," Ananias reassured her, "but right now isn't the best time to do it, you know?"

Elise nodded. "Yeah, you're right," she said. She let out a crestfallen sigh. "But still, I just can't help but think about how lonely those two taguel must feel, being the very last of their kind and all."

Ananias thought it over for a bit. "Well, 'lonely' isn't exactly the first word I would use to describe how they feel about the whole situation, but yeah, I can imagine that they can get a bit lonely from time to time."

It was then that he had an idea. "Hey," he said to Elise, "you want to help them out, right?"

Elise raised an eyebrow in confusion at this. "Yeah?"

"And that includes not wanting them to feel lonely anymore, right?"

Elise nodded. "Right."

"Then go and write a letter to them," Ananias said.

"Huh?" Elise asked. "A letter? Why?"

Ananias simply shrugged. "Knowing that somebody out there cares about you, it kind of helps take some of that loneliness away. Even if it's just a little bit, I'm sure that they'd appreciate it."

Elise let out an excited gasp. "That's a great idea! Do you know who the two taguel are? You know, so that I'll know just who to address the letter to?"

"One of them is a female named Panne, and the other one is her son, Yarne."

Elise nodded enthusiastically. "Panne and Yarne, got it!" She then thought the entire idea over for a bit. "Hmm. What should I say exactly? I can't expect to keep writing to them, with the state our kingdom is in and all, so I've got to make this letter count!"

Ananias nodded. "That seems like a reasonable concern. Why don't you just write what you want then? If there's no room for more letters, then let yourself out from the get go, you know? Show them who you are from the moment they read it and tell them why you're writing to them in the first place. That should be a good place to start off, right?"

"Yeah," Elise said, "but that still doesn't feel like enough!" She then gasped. "Wait a minute! That's it!"

Ananias cocked an eyebrow in mild curiosity. "What's it?"

"How about you help me write it?"

Ananias' eyes widened in surprise. "... Why?" he asked simply.

"Because you know everything about them!" Elise explained. "You could tell me all about them, and then I could write my two sense on everything you tell me! I'll even mention you in the letter so that it doesn't come off as being too creepy!"

Ananias thought about it for a moment before nonchalantly shrugging his shoulders and saying, "Well, I am your retainer, after all."

Elise laughed before locking arms with him and leading him back to her place. "That's great! With your help, this is almost guaranteed to be the best letter ever!"

Ananias nodded. "And judging by what we were just talking about, this will also probably be one of the longest letters ever."

"Well, it's just like you said. If we can't send more than one, then we might as well make this one count!"

Ananias sighed. "Me and my big mouth," he deadpanned.

Author's Note #1: Screw it. Selena, Odin, and Laslow are now allowed to support with Ananias too. We have a bit of time before I can get to those, so hopefully I can come up with something for them to talk about by then. Remember to request who you want to support with Ananias next! Remember, it's first come, first serve, so request it as fast as you can. Remember, all Nohr first generation characters, Soliel, Ophelia, Anna, Kanna, Rinkah, Subaki, and Setsuna are allowed to support with him as well.

Author's Note #2: The order so far seems to be that (after Elise) it will be Soliel, Peri, Felicia, Jakob, Lana, Kaze, Nyx, Charlotte, Niles, Effie, Female Corrin, Benny, Anna, Ophelia, Camilla, Gunther, and Setsuna.
