"Okay!" Anna cried. "As of right now, the 'How-To-Make-Anna's-Business-Even-More-Booming Meeting' will now officially commence!" She then playfully placed one of her fingers onto one of her cheeks and asked, "Is everybody here?"
Ananias nonchalantly looked towards his left and then his right before looking back to one of his many aunts and calmly answered, "Unless you invited someone else who I wasn't aware of, then yeah, everyone who's supposed to be here is here."
Anna smiled and nodded. "Perfect! Now," her happy-go-lucky smile was then replaced with an expression of pure determination and drive, "let's get down to business! And by that, I mean, how exactly am I going to make my already successful business even more successful?"
It was then that Ananias decided to raise his hand and ask his question. "Um, if you don't mind me asking -"
"Of course not, sweetie! You can ask whatever you like!"
"Um, thanks." Ananias then cleared his throat and asked, "So, um, why exactly are you so concerned with improving your business all of a sudden? I mean, besides the obvious 'bigger business, bigger earnings' reasoning and whatnot."
"Oh, right, I guess I haven't really disclosed the reason for this meeting yet, have I?" Anna sheepishly acknowledged. She then straightened her back, cleared her throat, and explained, "Well, you see, it all started when yesterday I happened to have a chance encounter with a customer who had already experienced the services of another Anna."
"That... should be normal," Ananias casually pointed out.
Anna nodded. "Well, yes, but this time, it was different. This time, I had a business epiphany!"
Ananias raised an eyebrow in surprise. "'A business epiphany'?" he incredulously repeated.
Anna nodded. "Yeah. A real eye opener too. Anyways, I was helping the customer as best I can, when all of a sudden, I could have sworn that I heard him mutter, 'Man, the shop run by that other Anna was so much better!'"
"Wow," Ananias said, "that must've really hurt to hear."
"I know, right?!" Anna then beat her chest with her fist. "But at the same time, it couldn't help but light a fire inside of me, you know? Like, 'Oh, you think that other Anna was better, well next time you come back here, you'll be changing your tune, mister! I guarantee it!'"
Ananias nodded absentmindedly. "How inspiring," he monotonously drawled.
"I know, right?!" Anna cried out excitedly. "I mean, all this time I thought that I was just competing with other businesses outside of the family, but now I realize that, no, I'm not just competing with others, I'm also competing against my own flesh and blood!"
"Preach."
"Oh, I'm preaching alright!" Anna said. "How could I have been so blind?! Business needs competition and what better competition is there than one between one's own family?!"
"Well, I mean, rivals, but I guess those are all out of the picture, huh?"
Anna laughed. "You're darn tootin'! But that's exactly why this is so important! For too long now, my business has remained stagnant! It's plateaued because of my unfortunate complacency, but not anymore! Look out world! From here on out, it's going to be the new and improved Anna!"
Ananias politely clapped his hands and monotonously cheered, "Huzzah. Huzzah."
Anna then frowned before playfully slapping Ananias on the head. "Alright, alright, that's enough sarcasm from you young man. Now quit joking around and help me brainstorm some ideas to help improve my business."
Ananias raised an eyebrow at this, and asked, "Um, are you really sure about?"
"Of course!" Anna said matter-of-factly. "Look, I know that business isn't really your strong suit, but you could still help out by at least trying to be my creative muse!"
Ananias shook his head. "That's not what I meant."
Anna frowned. "Oh?"
"I mean," Ananias sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck, "I'm not exactly... YOUR Anna, you know?"
Anna tilted her head to the side in confusion. "No offense, but I don't see how that's supposed to be an issue. I mean, even if you aren't MY son specifically, you're still my nephew, right?"
"N-No. I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say here. I'm the son of another Anna. ANOTHER Anna. ANOTHER one of your many competitors."
Anna took a moment to process what Ananias was trying to insinuate towards her before widening her eyes and letting out a gasp of pure shock. "No! A-Are you saying that you'll... you'll... report all of the ideas we'll have here today to her?!"
Ananias simply shrugged and answered, "Well, if she asks me to tell her what we did, I'm not just going to lie to her, you know?"
Anna let out another dramatically shocked gasp. "Traitor! Betrayer! Spy!" She then hastily pushed him out of her quarters and stuck out her tongue at him. "Fine then! I'll just have to come up with ingenious ideas myself! Have fun being the lapdog to your Anna!" She then slammed the door in his face, leaving a somewhat confused Ananias to ponder what exactly just happened and how exactly he had deserved this in the first place.
"I'm her son!" he retorted. "And I haven't even done anything yet!"
