"Ah, you have arrived," Gunther said as Ananias entered the interrogation room and took the seat opposite to his on the other side of the table.

"Well, yeah," Ananias nonchalantly replied. "Didn't we agree that we'd do this thing?"

"Of course," Gunther answered. "However, based on how that particular conversation went, I had wondered if you were going to have any second thoughts on the matter. Apparently, you did not."

"Well, yeah," Ananias said. "I mean, sure, I'll admit, I kind of did at first, but after I had thought it over for a little while, I realized that I honestly had nothing to really worry about or hide. So yeah, why wouldn't I come?"

"Oh?" Gunther asked, raising his eyebrows as he did. "Nothing to hide, you say? How very interesting. Then I suppose that I will be learning a great deal about you today then, hmm?"

Ananias nodded. "Yeah, but within reason though."

"Within... reason?" Gunther repeated.

"Well, yeah," Ananias said. "I mean, if you want to learn more about Selena, Laslow, and Odin, then you're just going to have to ask them, you know? Their secrets aren't mine to tell."

Gunther let out a weary sigh. "Of course. Though, considering how unwilling they seem to be about divulging their secrets, I had honestly hoped that I would gain some insight about them while talking to you."

"Well, I mean," Ananias slowly said as he began to nervously rub the back of his neck, "I guess I can tell you a little bit about them, but not much?"

Gunther's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "And why exactly would that be? Is it because you would not know or is it because you shall willfully withhold information from me?"

"Um, a little bit of both?" Ananias said with a shrug.

Gunther simply rubbed the bridge of his nose as he sighed. "Right, well, let's get this show on the road then, shall we?" He then muttered, "If we continue on like this, then I'm certain that we'll only continue talking in circles." He then cleared his throat, thought carefully about what he wanted to know, and asked, "Ananias, tell me, what is the relationship between the four or you? You seem awfully close. Are you all childhood friends?"

Ananias nodded. "Yeah, we are. Our parents had all been a part of the same militia group, so we practically grew up together."

Gunther's eyebrows rose as his eyes widened in genuine surprise upon hearing this. "A militia group, you say? To what kingdom?"

"Ylisse," Ananias simply answered.

"Ylisse," Gunther quietly repeated to himself as he drummed his fingers against the table and was doing his best to recall if he had ever heard of such a kingdom before in his life. After a few unsuccessful minutes of trying to jog his own memory, he looked back at Ananias, shook his head, and cautiously asked, "I am afraid that I have never heard of it."

"Well, of course you wouldn't," Ananias said. "Ylisse is from a completely different world to begin with."

Gunther's eyes widened as he let out a small and startled gasp. "A completely different world entirely!?" Gunther hissed. "My friend, have you gone mad? Whatever are you talking about? Surely there cannot be such a thing as other worlds!"

"Well, there is," Ananias nonchalantly insisted. "And we all came from that world."

Gunther could do nothing to hide the obvious bafflement he felt towards everything that he was hearing. "E-Even if I were to believe that what you are saying is true, why exactly have the four of you come here then?"

"Well, I mean, everyone kind of knows why I'm here, right?" Ananias asked. "So don't you mean, why are the three of them here?"

Gunther pinched the bridge of his nose as he wearily sighed. "If that makes it easier for you, then yes, why are the three of them here then?"

Much to Gunther's chagrin, Ananias simply shrugged and answered, "I don't know."

"What do you mean, you don't know?" Gunther irritably asked.

"That I don't know," Ananias simply said, earning him a very audible groan from the famous Nohrian knight. "Shouldn't that have been a little self-explanatory?"

"Of course it is," Gunther exasperatedly said, "but how is it that you still have yet to know? Did they refrain from telling you or have you simply neglected to ask?"

"Well, from what little they've told me, apparently someone from this world asked them to help out over here."

Gunther raised an eyebrow at this. "Oh? And who exactly was this 'someone'?"

Much to Gunther's disappointment, Ananias shrugged his shoulders and simply replied, "Beats me." Ananias then paused for a moment before adding, "But if it helps you narrow it down, it must've been someone with a great deal of magic."

Gunther gave him a curious look before cautiously asking, "And why would that be?"

"Well," Ananias said as he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck, "as far as I know, there are only two ways to travel between worlds. One is by using the Outrealm Gate, which one of my cousins run, and she doesn't seem to recall Laslow, Odin, and Selena asking her to use it to get here."

"And the only other way of traveling between worlds besides that is if one obtains help from a being possessing great magic, yes?" Gunther deduced.

Ananias nodded solemnly. "Yeah. And we're not just talking about any run-of-the-mill mage, we're talking about something way above that, like a dragon god or something."

"A dragon god?" Gunther murmured to himself.

"Though, whether it's one of yours or one of ours, I wouldn't know," Ananias added. "Those three have been pretty tight-lipped when it came to the details."

Gunther nodded as he held his chin. "I see. And this... 'Ylisse'... are they friend or foe?"

"Neither," Ananias simply stated. "They've got nothing to do with this battle or any others from any other worlds. And I'd appreciate it if it stayed that way. That kingdom's already gone through enough battles for an entire lifetime. I'd hate to know that I got them involved in another one."

Gunther nodded understandingly. "Yes, I understand." He then took a moment to take all of it in before asking, "Is there anything else you could tell me about your friends? Anything at all?"

Ananias thought about it for a moment before saying, "Nothing objective."

"By all means," Gunther said, gesturing with his hand for Ananias to speak his mind, "let me hear it. A personal opinion is just as valuable to us as an objective fact when it comes to evaluating someone."

"Alright then." Ananias drummed his fingers against his thigh and took a deep breath. "They're good people. They really are. Too good even. Even if the world was falling around them, I doubt that they would do anything too dirty or underhanded, like go out of their way to gain a kingdom's trust just to betray them when they truly needed to."

Gunther nodded. "I see." He then stood up from his seat. "That is more than enough for today. Thank you for speaking with me, Ananias. Your words have given me a great deal to think about."

"Are you sure there isn't anything else that you want to know?" Ananias asked.

Gunther shook his head. "Not as of yet, no. However, I will send word for you if I do."

Ananias nodded. "Okay, got it."
