Ananias heaved out an exasperated sigh. "Selena, what are we doing here?" he asked as said girl continued to lead him through the marketplace by his hand. "I thought we already agreed that I'm not a big shopper."

"Yet," Selena pointed out, a confident and determined smile on her face as she continued to lead Ananias through the numerous throngs of people inadvertently blocking their path as they made their way towards Selena's planned destination.

Ananias raised an eyebrow, suspicious as to what antics his childhood friend was going to put him through this time. "Yet?" he apprehensively repeated. "What do you mean, 'Yet'?"

"See, the last time I went out shopping, I couldn't get what you said to me out of my head," Selena explained.

"Oh...," Ananias guiltily said. He awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. "Um, sorry about that."

"Yeah, you should be sorry," Ananias heard Selena grumble. "That really put a damper on my shopping trip, you know! And I saw the cutest pair of boots too!" Ananias let out an awkward laugh. "But anyway, after passing up on those extremely cute boots, I started asking myself why I was thinking so much about what you said to me, and then... it hit me!"

"That we were childhood friends and you cared about me?" Ananias deadpanned.

"No!" Selena irritatedly cried. "Well, I mean, yes, but that should be obvious!"

"I guess?"

"I guess?!" Selena repeated incredulously. She stopped leading Ananias towards where she was planning on taking him to glare at him. "What do you mean, 'I guess'?!"

Ananias quickly raised his hands up in an attempt to calm her down. No matter what name she went by, Selena would always be a moody one. "I misspoke!" he quickly insisted. "You should know me by now! Misspeaking is what I do!"

Selena eyes him suspiciously before growling, "You should really get that fixed."

Ananias let out a sigh of relief. "I can't make any promises," he honestly replied.

It was now Selena's turn to let out an exasperated sigh. "Whatever. Just...," she took his hand and resumed leading him through the marketplace, "follow me, alright?"

"To where though?" Ananias asked as he allowed Selena to drag him along with her.

"To a variety shop," Selena answered.

Ananias raised an eyebrow in surprise. "A variety shop? But I thought -"

"I know what you said!" Selena frustratedly cried. "But, you see, before you so rudely interrupted me -"

"Yeah, sorry about tha -"

"Oh my gosh!" Selena groaned as she lifted her head back as she rolled her eyes. "You're doing it again!"

Ananias blushed. "Sor -"

"Keep your sorries to yourself! Gods!"

"Ah..."

Selena heaved a heavy sigh and took a moment to calm herself before explaining, "As I was saying, I thought about what you said to me, and I realized that the reason you're not a big shopper is because you've never really shopped before! So I thought, what better way to get you more into shopping than by helping to teach you how to shop?"

Ananias raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Really? That's what this is all about? You taking me out to learn how to shop like you?"

"Oh, what, did you have something more important to do?" Selena scoffed.

Ananias shook his head. "No," he admitted. "But it can't really be that simple, right? I mean, my attitude just can't magically change over a few shopping trips, can it?"

"Well, that's what we're going to find out." Selena confidently said before stopping and indicating towards the shop in front of them. "Voila! The best variety shop in the entire marketplace!" She looked at Ananias with a determined and confident grin. "If there's anything you're interested in, there's a good chance that this shop has it."

Ananias eyes the shop dejectedly before saying, "I don't know, Selena. Other than buying things that I really think I need, I just can't see myself buying something for the heck of it."

"Yeah, well I can," Selena firmly insisted. "If shopping can make me happy, even for just a little bit, then there's no reason why it can't make you happy either."

"Yeah, but -"

"Nuh-uh, not buts. No, 'But I'm not like you'. No, 'It's too late for me'. None of that. You're my friend, Ananias, and I'll be damned if I see the rest of us live our lives and you not living yours. You're a nice guy who deserves a whole hell of a lot more than what you give yourself credit for, and you're the only one who doesn't see it! Do you know how annoying and sad that is?"

"Um, no," Ananias weakly answered.

"Well, it is!" She then pointed towards the variety shop. "Now, you're going to go in there and you're going to give this spontaneous shopping thing a go, alright? We basically got the same job and you don't spend nearly as much as I do, so there are no excuses. You can pretty much buy most of anything they've got in there. Just pick something you like or that interests you, that's it," Selena then gave him a comforting smile, "and if you can't, then we'll just try again tomorrow, alright?"

Ananias stared at Selena in disbelief for a moment before giving her a small and grateful smile, nodding his head, and saying, "Yeah, sure."

Selena gave him an agitated glare. "Sure?"

Realizing his mistake, Ananias quickly raised his hands and said, "Yes, I mean, yes!"

"Humph," Selena said, folding her arms as she continued to eye him disapprovingly. "Good."

"Oh, and, um...," Ananias rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, "thanks."

Selena lightly blushed as she instinctively looked away. "Of course," she said, before the two of them smiled at each other and headed into the shop.

Author's Note #1: The next supports after Selena will be Beruka, followed by Xander, Azura, Flora, Odin, Laslow, Rinkah, Arthur, Silas, Leo, Keaton, and Subaki. Kanna's supports will be like Ophelia's and Soleil's, with Kanna being Odin, Laslow, or Selena's kid and Ananias being an honorary uncle to them. The supports will also be written as if Kanna is a boy, but will be generic enough to fit both genders. Got someone else you want to support with Ananias that isn't on this list yet? Request it. Remember, all Nohr first generation characters, Soliel, Ophelia, Anna, Kanna, Rinkah, Subaki, and Setsuna are allowed to support with him as well and it is a first come, first serve system.

Author's Note #2: The Fire Emblem Warriors poll is now officially up on my profile! Vote for which five characters you want for Ananias to support with from that game the most and, in the end, ten characters will be selected for Ananias to support with, so make your voices heard. Happy voting!
