Callum frowned as he looked at the mirror in front of him.
He had found it when clearing out Viren's study and his personal dungeon and something told him to bring it up with him.
At first glance it looked like just an ordinary mirror but the fact that Viren had kept it hidden from everyone else had to mean something.
Also, he knew the runes on it were Xadian runes.
Just how important was it?
Why would Viren have wanted it?
Did it hold some sort of magic, despite being an object and not alive?
For a while he had considered asking Lujanne or Ibis about it but he didn't, fearing they or some other elf or dragon would want to take the mirror away and refuse to tell him anything.
He just needed to know what this mirror was!
"What secrets are you hiding?" he muttered as he lightly touched the runes.
He didn't get an answer of course. He just saw his own reflection staring back.
He sighed and decided to try and find some books that could contain clues.
As he started to turn around he froze when he saw something from the corner of his eye.
For just half a second, he could have sword he saw something in the mirror.
A blue figure staring at him but as he whiped around, he was only met with his own reflection.
Just a bewildered teen who was probably too eager on finding something special about the mirror and imagining things.
He shook his head to himself and walked over to the mirror to cover it up with a blanket.
He didn't need others questioning him on what it was.
They'd either tell him to leave it alone, try to convince him to hand it over the the elves or might even start pressuring him to figure it out sooner than he could.
Once the mirror was properly hidden Callum turned and left the room, dismissing the shudder running down his back as just a breeze in the old castle.
