I burst through the door with a sword gripped tightly in my left hand, a wooden stake in the other. There I saw him, sitting on a throne, waiting for me to come. I looked around the room, once again there was armor lining the walls, and one on either side of the throne. There was a set of stairs to my right leading upwards towards a glass domed roof.

"I'm glad you are Mr. Holmes." Dracula smiled, getting up from his throne.

"Where is Watson?" I asked angrily, pointing the sword at the man in red.

"You needn't worry about him. He's perfectly fine."

"Where is he?" I asked again, more seriousness in my tone.

"I thought you would be a marvelous addition to my army." smiled the devil "Why don't put down your blade and join me?"

Dracula, with but the tip of his finger, pushed the point of the blade downward. Keeping my gaze I slowly lifted it back up, pointing it at him once again.

"You truly want to know where your friend is?" said Dracula, lifting his left arm, pulling back a curtain that had been hidden away by one of the armors.

From the curtains stepped Watson, who looked as if he had seen a ghost, or possibly something worse.

"What have you done?" I muttered, shocked at the sight of my one true friend under some demonic spell.

"He is a soldier in my army now." explained Dracula "I needed something to... lure you in."

"What do you mean?"

"You... the greatest mind in all the world... part of my army of the undead."

"You're creating an army?" I questioned, feeling shook at the fact that Dracula wanted me in his armor "What for?"

"To rule the world of course. And to take back the kingdom that is rightfully mine. The kingdom stolen from me by you mortals."

Dracula turned, his eyes red with rage. I backed away, shaking. Shaking I knew then and there that I staring into the eyes of Death himself. I lifted the blade above my head, bringing down upon the head of the beast, but I only stuck a pile of red smoke. Dracula stood behind Watson. Watson lifted his head and lunged towards me. I fell to floor as his fangs beat against the blade's steel, the only thing keeping me from being bitten by my friend. I shut my eyes as the blade got knocked from my hands. My bloody palms pushed against his nose and his chin, but it was no use, I wasn't strong enough. As those teeth came upon me I felt a sudden burst of wind. A cloud of black blown past me, taking Watson with it. I turned my head to the right as I sat up. I saw Watson laying on the floor. Mina kneeled down next to him. I stood up slowly and made my way towards her. I placed my quivering hand upon her right shoulder. She turned around, screeching with blood dripping from her fangs. Her constant hissing almost made my heart stop. I backed away, trying to strike the witch with the wooden stake. I heard the sound of an crossbow from behind me. Knowing what was about to happen I darted out of the way as a stake shot through the woman's head from above. I turned and looked up at the balcony just above the entrance of the throne room. Helsing stood there, readying another stake, this time for Dracula, who seemed to have disappeared during the scuffle between and I.

"Our plan seemed to work didn't it Holmes?" shouted Helsing from the balcony.

"Yes Helsing." I yelled back "Now if only the coward will show his again."

From out of the same doorway Watson came through, Mina strode inside with a sword in her left hand, blood splattered onto the steel.

"Now that the harem is dealt with, it seems Dracula has no other choice but to come out and play." smirked Mina, wiping the blood off the blade with her black dress "Holmes, look out!"

I heard the sound of a sword slicing the air, I swiftly ducked and got back up, catching the sword that Mina threw to me. I slashed my sword towards his abdomen, but he managed to dodge. I brought his blade up above my head, but I blocked it. He turned me towards the stair, as a way to possibly trip me, but I, being quick on my feet planted my left foot onto the first step, pushing the madman away.

"GIVE ME YOUR BLOOD HOLMES!!!" Dracula hissed, violently clashing his blade against mine in an attempt to break it.

Dracula pushed, but I held my own until the moment I heard the sound of a horizontal object slice through the air. Dracula reached out his hand and, without looking, grabbed the oncoming stake. He disappeared once again in a cloud of smoke and reappeared where Helsing stood. I heard Helsing moan as Dracula pushed the stake into his left shoulder. Helsing fell from the balcony and onto the hard floor below. Once that was over he reappeared in front of me again, continuing from where he left off. I dodged, I parried, I swerved left to right so not to be cut open, but Dracula's strength proved too much for me, for half way up the stairs I lost balance and fell on my rear, dropping my sword next to Dracula's feet, which he picked up and immediately pointed towards me.

"Just think Holmes..." smiled the menace, crossing the two swords around my neck "You could have led my army by my side. You could have had power beyond your wildest dreams. This is your final chance Holmes. Join me, or you die."

"That offer sounds tempting." I started, as the blades inched to my skin "But I refuse to work with scoundrels such as you."

"Then..." said Dracula softly, the wicked grin turning into an angry scowl "death will befall you!"

Just before the steel of the two blades could dig into my skin, Dracula let out a shocking howl of pain. He dropped the swords and fell to his knees with an axe in his back. Blood gushed from his body, rolling down his red cape and onto the floor. Behind him stood Mina, holding a bottle of vial of liquid. She tossed it to me and I kneeled down in front of Dracula. I looked him in his eyes. He knew that I figured him out all too well. He knew that I knew his weaknesses.

"How..." was the only word he could mutter.

I placed the vial in his mouth, letting the water flow into his throat. His body began steaming. He fell onto the stairs even lower and slowly turned into a clump of dust. I rushed down the stairs with Mina trailing behind. I kneeled down towards Watson, placing my fingers on his neck to see if he was still alive.

"He's not dead." I sighed with relief "I need the antidote."

In the corner of my right eye I saw a hand reach over my shoulder. It was Helsing, who I was surprised to still be alive.

"It'd take a lot more than that to get rid of me." chuckled the injured hunter, placing the vial of medicine into my hand.

I turned the vial up, letting the liquid run onto my fingertips. I placed it on Watson's brow and both sides of his chest. After doing so he awoke, looking a tad confused.

"What just happened?" asked Watson, sitting up from the floor and clenching to his sore neck.

"Yea wouldn't believe it my friend." I answered, smiling, knowing that neither Watson and I will be staying in this place any longer.
