Histories are records of the past that exist in multiple forms, be it in written tomes or memories sung in verbal stories. Lisa adores history. They carry meaning and knowledge of what had been. On the opposite end, Lisa dislikes fiction. She was never interested in seeking what could have been instead of what had been. What could you learn from knowledge that does not exist rather than the knowledge of what exists in this world? That was until she met the Traveller.

The Traveller was a being whom Lisa found most curious. She wanted to understand the Traveller, where he came from, what happened and how long had he been blind. She had noticed when they first met, the Traveller was dragged into Jean's office by Kaeya with Amber following behind him telling the captain how not suspicious the Traveller was. The Traveller was deposited unceremoniously onto the floor where he sat, his clothes in disarray and looking very confused. Jean cleared her throat to draw everyone's attention and Amber immediately snapped to attention while Kaeya turned his head to give Jean his attention. Meanwhile, the Traveller was still on the floor, now seated, arms crossed, and glaring ahead of him.

And it was there that Lisa was drawn to the Traveller's eyes. The Traveller does not make eye contact with anyone.

No one had seemed to notice and if they did, they did not comment on it. Lisa was intrigued, it was obvious the way the Traveller would turn to the side slightly to listen to the speaker. But if no one asked about his behaviour then why would she be the one to point it out?

The 'interrogation' went smoothly, if one can call that. They found out that the Traveller had lost his sibling and came to Mondstadt in search of her, only to be caught up by Stormterror's attack. No, he was not related to Stormterror attacking the city. He has no idea who or what the abyss order is. And can he go now because he has not had lunch yet.

Jean sighed while Kaeya laughed. Amber was trying to hold back Paimon (who had appeared in the middle of the 'interrogation' and that had been very interesting) while Paimon was pulling on the Traveller's scarf. Lisa giggled at the scene before walking over to Jean and prodding her. Jean looked up at Lisa and sighed again. Looks like she is stressed again, Lisa thought to herself as she made a mental reminder to order some of Jean's favourite food for her later. Jean cleared her throat again. When she had everyone's attention, she spoke to the Traveller to request his aid in saving Mondstadt from Stormterror's wrath. Lisa stepped forward to provide more information on stopping Stormterror. The Traveller agreed, in exchange for the Knights' aid in finding his lost sister.

After the others had left, leaving Lisa alone with Jean, Lisa asked while leaning against the table, "Have you noticed anything strange about the Traveller?"

Jean paused in her writing and the silence continued to stretch. "He is a strange person but I do not believe he would bring harm to Mondstadt," she answered before continuing to write.

Lisa chuckled to herself. "Then perhaps you would find out later," she said with a wink before departing from Jean's office.

The next time Lisa met the Traveller, it was outside the Temple of the Lion. The Traveller arrived with Paimon by his side. Greetings were exchanged before Lisa led the way into the temple. As they made their way through the temple, Lisa could feel the Traveller's curious eyes staring at her Vision. That was interesting, Lisa thought to herself, perhaps the Traveller was not as blind as she had originally thought.

The Traveller fought with a lot of hesitation. He was confident in his attacks but he was hesitating at where he should be pointing his blade at. There were times where he would accurately attack a hilichurl, only to miss the same hilichurl a moment later. Lisa had to cover for him in those times but his behaviour made her reevaluate the information she had gathered on the Traveller. What she can confirm however, was that the Traveller was not completely blind.

Also interestingly, the Traveller had Anemo powers but Lisa has yet to find a Vision on his body. So either Barbatos was not as missing as everyone had thought or the Traveller is the Anemo Archon himself.

(Lisa found out much later just how close and how far she was with her deduction.)

After they split up and went their separate ways, Lisa could not stop thinking about the Traveller.

They met up again one day, long after the events with Stormterror, in the library. Lisa had been bored and was reading a book on the origins of the Anemo Archon when the Traveller approached the counter with Paimon leading the way.

"If you're borrowing a book, please register it in the log. The restricted section is currently not lending any books...Oh? It's you, little cutie."

The Traveller is so cute when he blushes.

As it turns out, they were looking for a book that Katheryne had recommended to them and they figured that the best place to look for it would be in the library. Unfortunately, the book that they had been looking for was missing. However, it was a simple task to find the book they were looking for, in exchange for a favour of course.

An hour's rant later on overdue books and why would people not return books on time, Lisa looked at the Traveller and asked with the sweetest smile she could muster, "Would you like to come with me?"

"Why does that sound so ominous?"

The first stop they made was at the shop known as 'With Wind Comes Glory' and more importantly, where Marjorie resides. Greetings were exchanged and Majorie has yet to remember the overdue book. She would remember in due time, for now, Lisa decided that this 'date' would be a great opportunity to study the Traveller closer and away from anything that might kill him. When Marjorie suggested for the Traveller to pick out a souvenir for Lisa, Lisa was intrigued. What would the Traveller choose?

"Paimon, what did you pass to me? It feels soft."

"Paimon doesn't know..."

"It's a pair of bloomers," Majorie answered.

"Paimon! Put it back where you found it!"

The Traveller really is cute when he blushes.

Eventually, he found an old scroll amongst the various trinkets and purchased it after verifying the scroll's contents.

"My my, you clearly know a treasure when you see it. This is a work of unparalleled significance for the research of ancient people's understanding of the elements. I will gladly accept it."

The Traveller is also very cute when he smiles.

Putting the gift aside, Majorie has yet to remember about the overdue book and Lisa supposes that it was about time to remind her about it. An hour of Majorie gushing over her hero (that no one was really listening to but are too polite to stop her), Lisa finally retrieved the overdue book, 'The Legend of Vanessa' and it was on to the next overdue book.

Lisa invited the Traveller to Good Hunter for lunch (also because Sara at Good Hunter has an overdue book), as they sat down, Lisa requested the Traveller to decide what they should all eat, citing her lack of preference. In truth, Lisa was curious what the Traveller would pick. In the end, he settled for Good Hunter's signature dish, the steak.

"I used to be able to cook, Lumine loved my cooking. But now, I just can't do it anymore."

"What's stopping you?"

"Many things I guess, it's better if other people do the cooking."

Paimon was quick to change the subject after that. Lisa was drawn into their conversation, chipping in with some views of her own and the conversation continued until the hours passed and Aether did not look despondent anymore. When it was time to leave, Sara had yet to remember the overdue book she had to return and Lisa had to remind her about the book.

The final stop for their 'date' is at the florist where Lisa's target, Donna, was currently tending to the flowers. So engrossed in her work, she had not noticed the group approaching her shop until she backed into the Traveller and the two of them fell over backwards with the Traveller at the bottom and Donna on top.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! I didn't see you!"

"It's fine, I didn't see you either."

Donna welcomed them to her shop and invited the Traveller to pick out a flower for the 'date'. After all, a date is not complete without flowers. The Traveller seemed at a loss but did not stop Paimon from pulling him towards the potted flowers. Paimon stopped him before he could walk into the flowers. He knelt down and removed a glove, before brushing the dandelion. A few stray seeds floated away in a passing breeze as the Traveller pulled his hand back. Paimon pulled his hand to the potted flower beside the dandelion and the Traveller pulled his hand back when it came in contact with the bud of the mist flower. He glared at Paimon when she giggled before standing up.

"Have you made your choice, Traveller?"

"Do you have others?"

"We carry cecilias and roses as well."

"The rose, I want the rose."

In the end, the Traveller picked a rose for Lisa. Lisa wondered if it was a coincidence that he chose a rose or had he somehow seen the rose she wore on her hat.

"Have you ever heard of the Witch of Purple Rose before?"

"No, I've never heard of it. It's just that gifting a rose is important when on a date."

A coincidence in the end but Lisa was not upset. She smiled as she pinned the rose on her hat beside the purple one on her hat. The purple rose is important to her, and so will this one.

Alas, the day had to come to an end and it would not do to neglect the job they had set out to do. Unfortunately, the overdue book was stolen by an unknown entity. Whoever stole the book will pay for their crime, Lisa swore to herself. Death would be too easy for one who has crossed the line.

"You're kind of scary right now, Lisa. Paimon is scared."

"Lisa, there's an elemental trail. I think it leads to the book."

The Traveller has elemental sight. A rare ability but it was not unheard of. What was surprising however, was that he was using elemental sight to make up for his lack of sight and that was completely unheard of. It is a creative application of the ability and Lisa has newfound respect for the Traveller's creativity. The trail had led deep into the cave and by this point, the moon was in the sky and it was way past time to eat dinner.

The abyss mage who stole the book deeply regrets stealing the book.

The Traveller returned to the library the following morning, at least this time, Lisa was expecting him. Lisa handed over the Teyvat Travel Guide to the Traveller who handed it over to Paimon to read. With the main objective completed, Lisa had expected the Traveller to leave but he did not.

"Lisa, how long did you know?"

"Oh? What do you mean?"

"You knew I was blind, how long did you know?"

"Since the beginning. It was quite obvious after all."

"Not to everyone."

Paimon pulled the Traveller to an empty chair and she sat on his lap, pointing out things as she read in the Teyvat Travel Guide. When she finished reading, she floated over to a nearby bookshelf and pulled a book out. The weight was almost too much for her and Lisa had to catch the book before it fell to the ground. Flipping the book over, the title 'The Pale Princess and the Six Pygmies' greeted her eyes. She looked up from the book, the Traveller was halfway out of the chair while Paimon floated in front of her.

She made her decision.

Lisa walked over and sat on the opposite of the table from Aether.

"Lisa?"

"It's about time for a break don't you think? Would you like me to read for you?"

"Please, if it's not too much of a bother."

Aether is definitely cute when he smiles.

Though the book was not to her taste and she would prefer a history tome over this, but once in a while, Lisa does not mind reading books like these.
