Here we are with chapter 15 for the sequel of this story, despite it yes being chapter 43. All right, so we are getting close to the end. Well, the end of this sequel. It won't be today or next time, but it is coming.

Also, I am still working on my other chapters so only this one will be getting updated. The first year of 2018 I am going to do my updates so please be patient. Still, I hope everyone is having a good time and is spending time with their loved ones. This one I hope will get a good finale soon since I might update this faster before the 2018, but we'll see.

So, I hope everyone will like what is going to happen when we get to the end. Also, I want to thank my friend for his help on the story and all of you guys for supporting it. I appreciate it and I always enjoy reading the reviews. What is going to happen when Batman goes looking for Joker and will he get help when he finds him?

Story II: Chapter XV

Arkham

Batman made it out of the Penitentiary after locking up Harley Quinn and incapacitating the crazed inmates that Joker let out. He found more had gotten out and are spreading around the island. He will need to take care of them once he finishes up with the Joker. He also informed Cassandra about this just in case any of the inmates find their way towards the caves.

He received word from his sister that she found out the Republic ships detected high thermal scans coming from the Botanical Gardens. If the Joker is working on his Titan formula then he is working hard to make plenty of it for his army.

He managed to get passed the crazed criminals and knock them out before he heads inside the building. He knew this place is too big to search around randomly. He begins using his scanner to pick up Harley's fingerprints and use them to find Joker's lab. He spots two of Joker's men by the entrance into the glasshouse and knocked them out with knockout gas.

Once they were out he enters into the next room to find several of Joker's men inside the room. He approaches one of the men and knocks him out with a sleeper hold. However, he noticed the criminal has the suicide collar on his neck. Meaning the moment he is knocked out it will go off alerting Joker's men.

He uses his grappling gun to head up one of the nearest gargoyles and stays out of sight. Just on cue the alarm goes off alerting Joker's men. They begin heading to the noise, but Batman glides towards one of the men who is alone and knocks him out with a sleeper hold. Once he is out the alarm on his neck goes off and once again Batman disappears before the other men find out.

This left him with four men left. He noticed one near the entrance into the next room and threw a Batarang at the collar. Sending electric shocks at the guy and knocks him out. This left now three men left as they begin showing signs of panic.

Two of the men head to the knocked out man, but as the third tries to climb the ladder Batman glides in and grabs him. He lifts him up and then tosses him as he went through one of the statues. Knocking him out and leaving him on the ground in pain. This caused the men to open fire as they begin shooting at every angle they could see.

Once they ran out of ammo, Batman glides back in and kicks one of the men in the face. Knocking him through the railing and falls to the ground. The other man tries to escape, but Batman threw a bola at him as it wrapped around his arms pinning them together. It then began sending electricity through his body and knocked him out as well.

Batman enters into the next room where he sees the floor in the middle of the room is covered in water. With an electrical cable connected to it. The Joker is on the other side and appears to have a hostage. With a blaster to his neck, keeping Batman from getting to him.

"You need to stop this now. Before it goes too far," said Batman trying to keep the Joker from killing the guard.

"Stop? But everyone's dying to see what I do next," said the Joker who had no intention of stopping.

"Let him go. Now!" said Batman as he took out a Batarang ready to use it on the Joker.

"Really? OK, if you say so, Bats," said the Joker as he tosses the guard into the water as it electrocutes him.

"No!" Batman tosses the Batarang hitting the Joker's weapon.

He uses his rocket boot to fly at the Joker, but the clown begins running down the hallway. He took out a detonator and activates it as it detonates the hallway. Collapsing it just before the Batman could reach him. The Batman tries to pull the rubble away, but he knew he wouldn't be able to get through it in time.

"You really need to speed things up, Bats," said the Joker as he began walking away, while laughing. "At this rate, you'll never catch me."

Batman punched the ground knowing he should have acted sooner to save the guard. Even stop the Joker now that he was close to catching him. He begins scanning the area trying to find another way through this room. He looks over to find a ventilation shaft that leads to an abandoned chamber.

This will take him to the other side and get to the Joker. He gets in and begins making his way through the chamber. All while hearing what sounds like the Joker humming to himself. No doubt working on his formula as he got to the other side to the Flooded Corridor.

He sees a hostage being held by two of Joker's men and rushes over to save him. Both men charge at Batman at the same time, but he dodges their hits and kicks them with a roundhouse kick to the face. He grabs one of them and punched him right in the face knocking him out. The other criminal grabs Batman and tries to restrain him.

Batman headbutts him in the nose breaking it and then grabs him by the side of his face. He then drives his knee into his face and knocks him out as well before attending to the hostage.

"You all right?"

The hostage nods in response. "I think so, thank you."

"Are you the only one here?" Batman asked wondering if there are other hostages in here.

"I'm the only one that got away," said the hostage as he points to where the others are at. "They are in the Aviary. The rest are locked up in some cages that the Joker set up."

Batman turns to where the area is at and increasing his suit's scanner he is able to detect heat signatures coming from over there. The hostages are there all right and it appears they are locked in some sort of cages that are hanging over a large pit.

"Stay here. I'll go rescue them," said Batman who also noticed Harley's prints lead him to that room so he must be close to the Joker's lab. He rushes over and forms a plan to get the hostages out without being seen.

Meanwhile

Bellow the Medical facility, Obi Wan is seen helping some of the Clones grab some medical supplies to give to the injured who are inside. The doctors are seen helping with the wounded, while the other personal are seen grabbing as much food and water. Unsure how long this is going to last, so they decide to round up some supplies to hold out. Some are even wondering if the Republic will even save them from the Joker or it will be up to Batman to get them out.

Obi Wan though was more focused on making sure everyone stays safe, while making sure the Joker's men don't find the ship. He did wish he was out there helping the Batman and stop the Joker. However, he knew if he did leave these hostages will be in danger. So, for now he will need to protect them.

"The ship is almost ready," said Hera as she came by to speak with the Jedi Master. "Chopper managed to check the ship to make sure it can fly. The only problem is even with the fuel we have we can't just fly around the planet until the shields are gone."

"Does it have a shield?" Obi Wan asked hoping if the shield is strong enough it can get through the laser shield.

"It does, but it isn't strong enough," said Hera knowing the shield won't be able to take the kind of hits the lasers give. "I suppose we can try boosting up the power for it, but even then finding path to get through will be difficult."

"I see what you mean," said Obi Wan as he takes out a holopad to show the laser field. "I remember Anakin and I getting through a similar situation like this years ago. However, it seems when we told our story to the Republic they wanted to make sure it wouldn't happen again for this prison."

Hera knew firsthand how dangerous this laser field is and how getting through it won't be easy. "The good thing for us is they didn't all activate at once. Was this the time first they used these weapons?"

Obi Wan shook his head in response. "No. The field is protected with an energy shield that was made to prevent a planetary bombardment. It would take days for the shield to worn down in order to destroy them. The only other way was to shut them all down with the self-destruct sequence."

Hera looks over the field and sighed. "If only we can destroy the weapons themselves. At least enough to get through the field," it was then she got an idea. "Do they have their own defenses?"

Obi Wan turns to Hera and shook his head, while curious on what she has in mind. "Do you have a plan?"

Hera turns to Obi Wan unsure if she should say it since she isn't sure this will matter, but decided to give it a shot. "Well, I was thinking they won't activate unless a ship passes through the field, right?"

Obi Wan nods in response. "They are able to detect any ship that passes through them and that is when they are activated."

"But that's the thing. They won't activate if say something flew passed them that isn't a ship, right?" Hera asked now getting little confidence in her plan.

Obi Wan thinks about his response making sure what she asked is correct or wrong. He soon realizes that what she is asking might be true. "I believe you are right. The sensors they have can only detect ships, but nothing smaller than one."

"Good," Hera turns to the field and begins revealing more of her plan. "What if we stay out of the range of the shield? Then, we can have some of the Clones get in close to the field and use the rocket packs to set up some detonators. We can use them to blow up the weapons or enough of them to make a path for the ship. The less lasers to deal with the more likely the shield will be able to hold out till we get to the other side."

Obi Wan knew this idea is risky and there is a limit to the rocket packs they have. However, if they can use some of the droids onboard the ship they might make this work.

"Let's try gathering as much detonators as possible so we can get through the field," said Obi Wan as he turns to some of the Clones to help them find more weapons. "I hope you realize that if we go through this plan you will need to fly us through the field. Are you up for it?"

Hera turns to Obi Wan and gave a confident smile. "I can not only get us through this field, but I will make sure we get through without a scratch on the ship."

Obi Wan likes the enthusiasm of the girl and how it reminds him a lot of Anakin. "I will hold you to that then."

Botanical Garden

Batman managed to save the hostages as he has them go wait outside of the room. He was informed by one of the hostages who works with Dr. Young about a secret lab in the room. How he was unaware what they were doing and they thought it was to help people. Batman follows Harley's fingerprints and finds a hidden control panel that will take him to the lab.

He finds the control panel connected to two canisters that contain Joker gas in them. Batman used his Cryptographic to hack into the control panel, deactivate the containers, and opens the wall that leads him to the door to the lab.

Batman heads inside to find the Joker inside with two of his men. Behind them are crates filled with his Titan formula.

"Well, look who's discovered our secret lab," said the Joker as his two men set the barrels down. "Since you've made it this far, let me show you what I've cooked up."

Batman enters the room as the door behind him closed and the ramp he walked over retracted. The Joker took out a dart gun and shot his two men as they begin transforming. The two men soon become monsters as Joker heads to his crates as the door closed. Revealing it to be an elevator as he disappears.

Both Titan monsters charged at Batman who tossed flash bombs at them. Blinding the two monsters as they crashed into the wall. Batman flies behind one of the men and kicks him in the head. However, the hit didn't knock him out. The Titan monster swings his arm and hits Batman as he crashes into one of the containers containing the Titan formula.

Batman took out his explosive gel and begins setting it up around the containers. The two Titan monsters recover from the flash bomb and charged at Batman again. Batman uses his rocket boots to fly up, but one of them grabs his right foot and tries crushing it. Batman moves his left foot over and increases the flames to force the monster to free him.

The other tries grabbing him, but Batman detonates the explosive gel causing all three to be send flying across the room. Batman crashed on the ground as he notices his right rocket boot is damaged. He did see one of the Titan monsters on one knee and appears staggered. He jumps over and wraps his arm around his neck.

The Titan monster tries to break free, but Batman's suit had a tight grip on his neck. Batman sees the other monster getting up and forces the monster he is on to rush over to his buddy. He crashes into the other monster as Batman forces them to hit the other containers. He jumps off his back as the two crash into the containers and get covered in the Titan formula.

Before they can transform more, Batman tosses two Batarang at the liquid sending electricity through the bodies of the monsters. Both monsters roar in pain as they are being electrocuted. Both monsters fall over and pass out from the shock. Batman goes to the elevator door and opens it, but finds the control panel is destroyed preventing him from tracking the Joker.

Batman looks around at the lab and decides to destroy it. He begins setting the place on fire, before he contacts his sister to let her know of the situation. "Oracle. I've destroyed the Titan production facility, but the Joker escaped with enough to cause us real problems."

"Just when you think it can't get any worse," said Oracle as she also decided to give her brother some updates. "Well, the good news is I figured out how Joker managed to make his formula. He used some sort of Venom plant hybrid that appears to have been made on the island. It's the key, but it looks like it wasn't made in a lab. Rather it was made with the help of…well I think you can guess who on the island has the green thumb to pull this off."

"Ivy," said Batman who should have known Dr. Young would go to her for help.

"You got it," said Oracle as she let's out a loud sigh. "I take it you will go to her for help?"

Batman knew he's going have to. "If her plants are at risk, she'll listen. She can sense the pain they were going through. Once I explain to her the situation she will want to help us. I'll track her down in the building and get the information we need."

"All right," Oracle then noticed an alarm going off on her computer. "By the way. The suit is running low on power. You're also running out of Batarang, among other tools. Once you finish your talk with Ivy, head right back to the Batcave. If you end up fighting her like this there is a good chance you won't make it back in time."

"I'll be fine," said Batman as he begins contacting his Batjet to fly towards him.

It soon arrives over the glass and he has it open fire at the door to break him out. He has it set down to also give him some extra power for his suit just in case he does end up in a fight. He sends it back to Obi Wan to protect the hostages before using his grappling gun to head back to the other side.

He heads back to where the hostages were at. However, he finds they are all dead. Shot by Joker's men, while he fought the Titan monsters. Batman knew he will make the Joker pay for this as he heads to where he can find Ivy.

He tracks her to another greenhouse where he sees her with her plants. He sees she is speaking to them and is aware he is here.

"Ivy, I know you worked with Dr. Young to mutate these plants to produce Venom," said Batman who is aware Ivy will kill him first chance she gets. "I also know she planned to give you this facility to yourself in exchange for your services."

"Yes. And you know what she and Cadmus did after I helped them?" Ivy asked as her tone turned harsh. "They betrayed me! Locked me up and kept me silent. Threatening to destroy my babies if I told anyone what happened. I heard you and your ward saved the evil woman despite knowing what she did."

"I know what she did and she will answer for her crimes, but we both know Joker used her to get what he wants. An army of monsters and you can bet he will want to use more of your plants to make more of his formula," said Batman as he got the attention of Ivy, who he knows despises he Joker.

"I am aware of his plan and rest assure. If he comes for my plants I will rip him apart. Him and his monsters," said Ivy as one of her vines moves over to Batman. "Still, you must want something from me if you came here. All injured."

The vine goes to attack Batman, but he quickly catches it with ease. "I didn't come here to fight. I came here because I need you to help me create an antidote. If you do it will stop the Joker and stop his monsters…" he tightens his grip causing Ivy to feel the pain of the plant. "Or you can risk your babies being destroyed by Joker and his monsters. I guarantee he will take as many of your plants down with him and burn this place to the ground to get what he wants."

Ivy felt the pain of her plant as she turns to the Batman with hate in her eyes. However, what he says speaks the truth. The Joker is unpredictable and if he is able to stay one step ahead of Batman like this then there is a good chance he has a way to stay ahead of her too. Even do it by harming her babies by destroying them all.

"There's a plan, growing deep in Arkham. Only it can counter the effects of the Titan strain," said Ivy as she got off the ground. "I discovered it while exploring this island when I first broke free. But finding it won't be easy. Not unless you are willing to go through Killer Croc's lair to get it. You didn't think it would be easy, did you?"

Batman didn't expect it to be easy at all. Now he definitely needs to fix his suit before fighting Croc. "Stay here and stay out of trouble. Once this is over I will let the Republic know what Dr. Young did and what Cadmus did to you."

As Batman left, Ivy turns to her plants as they begin to glow. She begins to smile as they begin to speak to her and she begins to listen.

Cave

Cassandra is seen over the knocked out bodies of the Joker's men in the Pump Control Room. She noticed they appeared to have been trying to spill something into the water. She analyzed it and discovered they contain the same material for the Titan formula. They must have been send here to dump the waste into the water.

That's definitely bad, especially how it might end up mutating the water life or worse. Good thing is she shut it down and plans to head back when she felt the place begin to shake. She finishes tying up the men and heads out to the exit to find large vines coming from the walls and what appears to be strange flowers appearing on the ground. Oh this does not look good.

"Batgirl, you there?" she can hear her father calling to her as she responds.

"I am here…what is going on?" she asked as she hopes her dad can shed some light about the giant vines and plants.

"The Joker gave Ivy some Titan," Batman replied. "Her plants are growing. It also seems it's causing them to mutate even further. There are large pods that are appearing that contain a dangerous spore that can paralyze the victim. If you see any don't go near them."

"Um all right…I will not go near one…" said Cassandra as she tosses a Batarang at the one below as it explodes. "What do you…want me to…do?"

"Stay in the Batcave. I'm heading over to fix the suit and resupply," said Batman as he heads to the cave. "In the meantime, I need you to get inside the Intensive Treatment. That's where I need to go to find Killer Croc's lair."

"His lair? Why do you…need to go there?" Cassandra asked wondering why her father requires to go to the monster's lair.

"There's a special plant there that can help make an antidote to counter the Titan strain," Batman replied. "It is in his lair and it is in the old sewer systems. I won't be able to get in without bypassing the security."

Cassandra got an idea as she heads back to the Batcave. It was a risky one, but she knew she could do it.

"Let me get the sample," said Cassandra as she avoids the vines and the plants. "I can get to it…and get out…without him seeing me."

"No, it's too dangerous," said Batman who didn't want to risk Cassandra's life again.

"Your suit will take…too long to fix…" Cassandra replied. "Mine is fixed…mine is ready…I will be careful…I promise."

Batman was about to tell her no and to stay put, but then felt the prison shaking again as more of Ivy's plants appeared. He knew he needed to deal with this soon before she gets out of control. He also knows Killer Croc won't be able to get her scent. Her suit is designed to be more for stealth and hide from being detected by any other way.

Even smell, which can give her an advantage. "All right. But be careful. I'll be over soon to get my suit fixed and then will join you once you get to the lair. If he finds you then stay out of sight till I get there."

Cassandra arrives back to the cave and rushes over to get her suit. She knew her suit would be no match for Killer Croc. Not that she plans to fight him. She isn't foolish enough to try it.

"I will be fine…father…" she replied as she begins putting on her suit. "I will find the cure…and help make the antidote," she finished saying as she puts on her cowl and heads off to find Croc's lair.

Meanwhile

Maul is seen strapped to a table in the middle of a large room. He looks around recalling Harley having her men drag him out after losing both his legs to Batman's ward. He was then knocked out by the men before waking up. On this table and couldn't move.

The Joker walks in with his men as they bring in large cases. "Greetings my dear spikey friend. How are you feeling?" the Joker then noticed the missing legs and began laughing. "Whoops! Sorry, looks like you won't be walking around anytime soon."

Maul growled in anger as he tries to break free of his restraints. "Release me, clown!"

"Oh in due time. You see I had planned to leave you broken and beaten, but then I came up with a wonderful idea," said the Joker as he shows on camera Obi Wan helping round up some hostages into the medical building. "Looks like your white whale is not only alive, but is planning to leave us. Without joining the party," said Joker as he turns to the Sith Lord. "So, what do you say, Ahab? Want another chance of redemption?"

The mere sight and mention of Kenobi filled Maul with anger. He wanted to kill him and make him pay for what he did.

"Well, here is your chance. Let's see what this does with a Sith Lord!" the Joker injects Maul with the Titan formula.

This causes Maul to yell as he feels something injecting in his body. Maul begins struggling in his restraints as he feels his body transforming. The spikes on his head began growing and appear to get sharper, he begins to grow in size, his body mass began growing as it got muscular, and his eyes began glowing bright green as he broke his restraints.

The Joker began laughing as Maul continued to grow and transform. His laughter soon got louder as the monster Maul let's out a loud roar that can be heard echoing across the room and the island along with the Joker's laughter.

That's the end of the chapter and yeah looks like Titan Maul is here. I tried to look up any pics on how he can look as a Titan monster, but found none. A shame, but oh well. Hope everyone still likes this.

Also, it looks like Cassandra is going hunting for the plant, but does that mean we won't see Batman go down to the sewers? Don't be too sure, especially how there is one last thing he needs to do before meeting with Cassandra. What is it?

Also, will we see the hostages get out before Maul finds them? Will Obi Wan keep them safe before then? Or will the new Titan Maul be too much for Kenobi? Check out the next chapter to find out.
