Here we are with chapter 17 for the sequel of this story, despite it yes being chapter 45. Yeah, we are getting closer and closer to the end. Well, not too close, but you all get the point. Also, thanks to those who haven't spoiled the other readers on the game or complain about how I made the chapters different from the games.
Remember, trying to fit this all into the Star Wars universe. A task that is not simple, especially with all the crazy stuff we see here. Also, didn't want to make them too long since a lot of these levels have side quests and stuff. Prefer to focus on what played a big role in the game.

Story II: Chapter XVII
Arkham
Batman and Batgirl made it back to the Batcave where they were able to use the serum to start making the cure to the Titan serum. They also send some of the samples from the Venom roots to Abigail. So she can start working on making more back home just in case they don't have enough. With the amount of Titan that Joker has they will need to make more of the cure.
That way she can send the cure to the Republic so they can use it to help neutralize the Titan formula. The good news for them is the hostages got off-world. They received word that they found a way to destroy some of the lasers to allow the ship to fly through and get to the other side. The Republic ships are currently checking on everyone, but it seems that they found a way to send their fighters in to help take the prison back.
However, the chancellor has ordered to eliminate the rest of the lasers. The same way the hostages did to get out. Luthor was against this and claims how much the lasers costs to make. He was overruled and the Republic is now working to destroy the laser fields to get to the planet with their full forces.
"How close are you to making the cure?" Oracle asked as she focused on making her batch of the cure too.
"Close. It's been more difficult than I expected." Said Batman as he saw how much they have been able to produce with the little equipment they have. "The process is slow, difficult and doesn't produce much antidote."
Batgirl got the vial for the first cure they were able to make. She puts it away, while reloading her equipment.
"How about you? Any good news on your part?" Batman asked as they continue working on the cure.
"So far it's going slow here since the samples you send aren't enough," said Oracle as she sees the computer will take time to make more of the samples in a slow pace. "Still, you think the antidote will work on Ivy?"
"The chemical will definitely stop Ivy. It may also reverse the Titan transformation," said Batman who was still unsure since he hasn't tested this yet. "I need to run more tests to be sure. I've got the computer to create more, but I need to get out of here and find Ivy."
"Good to hear and just in time," Oracle begins typing on the computer and sends the info to her brother. "Her plants have reached he water and if we don't do anything her plants will overtake the planet. With a large body of water as their supply they will be able to spread everywhere."
"I know," said Batman as he begins getting everything ready for the testing when suddenly Ivy's vines began breaking through the ceiling. "Batgirl, move!"
Batgirl leaps out of the way as the vines came down. Crushing the computer and parts of the Batcave. Batman moved out of the way himself as the two masked heroes see the vines have stopped moving. At least for now.
"Batman, can you hear me?" Oracle asked when she heard the sound of loud crashes through the intercom. "Daniel! Cassandra! Are you both all right?"
"We're fine," said Batman as he helps his daughter up. "Ivy's plants broke in and destroyed the computer. We won't be able to make more of the cure without it," said Batman as he looks in to find the samples are destroyed too.
"That's not good. I will try working hard then to make the cure then and send it to you guys," said Oracle knowing it is up to her now to make the cure. "You guys have to go take care of Ivy now before she gets out of control."
"Agreed," said Batman as he goes to a nearby table and begins upgrading his Batclaw and the one for Batgirl to make it stronger. "We'll go directly to Ivy and then go for the Joker."
"Let me fight Ivy…you go fight the Joker," Batgirl suggested feeling she can handle Ivy and her plant monsters.
"With the Titan formula backing her up, no," said Batman knowing it is too risky to send his daughter after Ivy when she is stronger than before. "We'll work together to stop her and then the Joker."
Batgirl nods in response knowing now is not the time to argue with her father. She is given her upgraded Batclaw as Batman begins checking on the Bat Jet. It wasn't damaged and should be able to fly. Batman then got an idea.
"Oracle, can you have Alfred remotely fly the Batmobile?" Batman asked.
"I surly can sir," said Alfred as he chimed in. "What do you need me to do, sir?"
"Use the Bat Jet and fly it around to destroy Ivy's plants. Keep them from spreading too far until we can stop her," said Batman knowing the vehicle has weapons that were made to take down Ivy's plants.
"Understood sir," said Alfred as he begins remotely take over the Bat Jet.
Once the vehicle is gone, Batman turns to Batgirl. "Let's get going and stop Ivy."
Naboo
Padme finished tucking her children in bed as she simply watch them sleep. After the night they had, seeing them sound of sleep helped her relax a little. Despite what happened she is glad they are both safe and weren't traumatized with what happened. She's just glad Daniel arrived to help save them and is hoping he will be all right.
She sees the door opening and spots Tatsu standing there. "My lady, if you wish I can keep an eye on the children while you get some rest," she spoke in a quiet voice.
Padme didn't want to leave her kids alone and wanted to stay with them. But, she knew Tatsu will protect them with her life and if they wake up she will let her know. She gives her kids a quick kiss and walks towards Tatsu. "Is Abigail done?"
Tatsu shook her head in response. "Lady Wayne is still working on making a cure. Lady Tano and Bonteri are also out on patrol. However, Mr. Pennywise is downstairs in the kitchen. If you need anything he can help you."
Padme nods in response as she leaves the room and heads downstairs. As she head downstairs she couldn't help but look around the mansion. Recalling memories of her time here when she was young and how she met Daniel. They were six years old, her parents were invited to a party Daniel's parents were throwing, and she met Daniel hiding behind his mother.
Hard to imagine the boy that would grow up to be the frightening Batman was once a shy little boy. He eventually opened up and the two become close friends. She was even there for him and his sister when they lost their parents. She stopped as she passed by the living room and finds the portrait of Daniel's parents over the fireplace.
She remembered that night when her friends lost their parents, Daniel seeing it happen in front of him, how he blamed himself for not being able to save them, and how things weren't the same afterwards. A year before she became queen her friends left Naboo and didn't return until after the invasion ended.
Daniel and her soon dated afterwards despite her position. The two grew close and it felt like the two had something, but then it all ended. Something changed for the both of them and they ended it. Looking back at it though she wonders if they both made the right decision.
She shook her head when she thought about that and knew they both made the right decision. She ended up falling in love with Anakin, the two had their children together, and cares about Daniel now as a friend.
"Everything all right, Ms. Amidala?" she looks over to see Alfred walking towards her with a tray. "I trust the children are sleeping?"
Padme nods in response. "Yes, everything is fine. The children are sound asleep and I decided to go out for a little walk to clear my mind," she looks back at the paining of the family together. "I still find it hard to believe the once innocent boy I once knew would grow up to become the thing criminals' fear."
Alfred turns to the picture and lets out a small sigh. "I too find it hard to believe as well every time I walk by here. My greatest concerned though was when he chose this path that he would end up falling down a dark path."
"What do you mean?" Padme asked wondering what Alfred is talking about.
Alfred turns to Padme and decided she knows just about everything. So, this bit of information couldn't hurt. "Vengeance blackens the soul. It can turn someone who is pure, kind, and strong into the very thing they fight against. I've always fear that Daniel would become that which he fought against. He walks the edge of that abyss every night, but he hasn't fallen in and I thank heaven for that."
Padme listened to Alfred's words carefully and couldn't help but also be glad as well. She couldn't imagine how Daniel would be like if he took everything he learned and use those skills to kill criminals instead of bringing them in. Becoming the very thing he fought against and vowed to protect the people from. It would cause people to lose hope in that which he believes in and in turn bring more harm to the innocent than good.
"I can't imagine how he hasn't lost it with everything that has happened, especially with the Joker," said Padme knowing if Anakin was still here the Joker would be six feet under.
"I think because he knows how I would be too easy to kill him. That he knows that if he kills him that it wouldn't make up for all that he has done," said Alfred who is proud of how Daniel didn't kill the Joker, despite all he did, especially to Abigail. "I always thought with young Abby that would cause him to turn and have him kill the Joker. However, I am proud of the fact that he didn't kill him and he didn't let vengeance cloud his mind."
Padme nods in agreement and how she is glad he didn't become what the Joker wanted. "I just hope with everything that he is going through right now he will be all right. That he won't let the Joker try and break him."
Alfred placed his hand on her shoulder and shook his head. "I am sure Daniel will be all right. He is not alone and with young Cassandra by his side he will be fine."
"I hope so, Alfred," said Padme who knew all they could do is wait and see when this whole ordeal will be over.
Arkham
Batman and Batgirl got through Ivy's mutated plants and Joker's men as they got back to the Botanical Garden. Once inside they had to get through her plants, which she could feel. So, every time they destroyed one she would feel it. Aware what they are doing to her babies and claims she will make them pay.
Her vines also appeared and made it easy for the duo to find Ivy. Batman knew it was a trap and Ivy wanted them in person. So she can kill them herself. Destroy them and then go for the Joker.
They even had to get through Ivy's mind controlled victims that she is using to slow them down. Batman and Batgirl managed to incapacitate them before going to the garden. There they found Ivy isn't around. However, they did spot one of the vines that appears to be glowing brightly with the Titan serum flowing through it.
Batman took out the antidote and decided to test it out to cure her plants. However, another vine appeared and slapped the antidote out of his hand.
"I won't let you destroy it, Batman," said Ivy as she appeared before the two heroes.
"Ivy…you must stop…the Titan has corrupted you," said Batgirl as she picks up the cure and puts it away.
"She's right. You need to stop this now and go back to your cell," said Batman as he noticed Ivy's green eyes glowing brightly.
"I was a fool. I thought the plants were in pain," said Ivy as her eyes glowed even more. "I realize they were evolving, growing stronger!"
She move her hands out as large vines began emerging from the ground. Surrounding Ivy as Batman and Batgirl moved back. They soon see Ivy has summoned up a large flower Titan monster. With Ivy in the middle and protected by the flower.
"And now we'll grow together!" said Ivy as she joined her flower monster. "I am strong than you two and I will destroy you both!"
Batman turns to Batgirl who nods in response. She knew to stay on her guard and look out for Ivy.
One of the vines came down on the ground and summoned large torn-vines to try grabbing the heroes. Batman and Batgirl moved out of the way as the vine summoned and more from the ground. Both of them saw an opening as they tossed their Batarang and hit the sphere protecting Ivy. The weapons explode and caused the vines to weaken as Ivy got hurt from the blast.
The flowers that are near Ivy began to glow as they fired a red blast at them. Batgirl and Batman jumped out of the way as the blast misses them. Ivy used her two vines to go to the ground and summoned more vines. Both heroes got caught in them, but they used their wrist blades to cut through.
They tossed two more Batarang and hit Ivy as they exploded once more weakening the monster. Ivy used her vines to bring forth her mind controlled victims as she has them attack the heroes. Batman motions for Batgirl to take care of them, while he keeps Ivy distracted. Batgirl nods as she charges at the mind controlled victims.
They charged at her with weapons to hit her, but she leaps over at them and used her Batclaw to grab the weapons. The men refuse to let go of the weapons, which was fine for Batgirl as she pulls on them and they are send flying towards her. She leaps over and kicks one of the men in the face while she knocked out the other two. She grabs the men and flies them out, while Batman continued distracting Ivy.
He used his Batclaw to grab one of the roses and uses it to fire at the other one. Destroying it, which angers Ivy as she has the vines from the ground grab Batman. She tries to strangle him and finish him off. But Batman tosses with his free hand some pellets that have oil on them.
He then uses his rocket boots and sets the vines on fire. Causing Ivy to scream in pain as she felt her babies being burned. Batman uses the Batclaw to grab the rose and brings it down to get engulfed by the flames as Ivy couldn't get freed. Batman goes up to the sphere and covers it in explosive gel as Ivy sees what Batman is doing.
Batman backs away and frees the plant monster. Ivy tries to warn her baby about the gel, but it was too late. Batman detonated the gel as it explodes. Destroying Ivy's plant monster as Ivy herself felt her baby suffer in pain.
Batgirl flies in and grabs Ivy as Batman flies with her. They escape from the garden as it got destroyed from the fight. They arrive on a hill up in Arkham North as Batgirl sets Ivy down. She checks on her and finds she is alive, but unconscious.
"You…all right?" Batgirl asked towards Batman.
Batman nods in response. "I'll live. The hostages?"
"Alive and safe," said Batgirl as she got them far from the room and with Ivy defeated they should be back to normal soon. She looks around and noticed the plants are weakening. "Without Ivy…the plants are not growing."
"There's still some that will be a problem, but we'll figure it out later. Right now we need to…" they hear a loud explosion in the air and look up to see fireworks going off in the distance. "Joker."
Right on cue, the Joker's voice can be heard echoing around the prison. "Batman! I know it's been a long, hard night, but good news. The party is about to start!"
"Party?" Batgirl asked.
"It's what he has been planning. He's been calling it his party," said Batman who knew to the Joker whatever he does is always a game or party to him.
"We've got something for everyone! Music, dancing, chemicals that create monsters. You don't want to miss it," said the Joker as he gives his location away. "So get your ass over to the Cell Blok, or you'll miss the final surprise."
"That doesn't…sound good," said Batgirl who didn't like this at all.
Batman nods in agreement. "Let's get going," he said as they head to west side of the prison.
Meanwhile
Hera managed to get the hostages to the Republic ships after her plan to get passed the laser field worked. Once they got near the field she had the Clones use their rocket packs fly to the rocks that have the lasers attached to them. They placed the detonators on the lasers and once they got back onboard the lasers were destroyed. A path was soon made for them to fly through the fields and avoid being blasted by the lasers.
Once they got through they docked in one of the Republic ships. There Hera gave her report on what is going on with Aaron Cash to back her up.
"So, the Joker is making a formula called Titan that can transform those who use it like Bane?" Chancellor Mothma asked as she appeared in hologram.
Hera nods in response. "Batman told us that Dr. Young was unaware of what the Joker was planning. He has gallons of this formula and will use it if he gets off-world."
"It's true," said Aaron Cash as he backs up Hera. "They made Poison Ivy's plants go nuts all around the prison. Not to mention what it did to that spikey-head freak, Maul."
This concerned the Jedi, especially how they were told what happened to Obi Wan. If the Joker can make someone like Maul even more powerful then there is no telling what else it can do for any of his men.
"If this is true then we must send our forces down immediately to stop the Joker. Before he can find a way to get off the planet and spread his chaos across the galaxy," said Master Windu as he turns to Hera. "Thanks to Ms. Syndulla here we now have a path to send our fighters through to and destroy the laser field to get our ships to the planet."
Chancellor Mothma agreed with this suggestion. "Contact the other ships and tell them to get their fighters ready. In the meantime, we need to find a way to also neutralize these Titan monsters and return them to normal."
"Hmm knowing the Batman, find a cure he has and make more he will," said Master Yoda who trusts in the Batman and what he is doing. "But help he will need soon. Sense I do in great danger he and his allies are."
"Then let us not wait," said Master Windu as he turns to Hera. "And Ms. Syndulla, we contacted your father. It seems you failed to mention to him and to your commander that you snuck onboard the ship as a pilot."
Hera cleared her throat knowing she got caught, but before she can explain herself the Jedi Master continued to speak.
"While this is a clear violation of the rules, your actions today has shown you are a very capable pilot," Master Windu finished saying.
"Hence forth, go down with the squadron you should," said Master Yoda granting Hera permission to join the fighters.
Hera was in disbelief that the Jedi are letting her join the other fighters to go down to the planet to take it back. She kept calm though and cleared her throat before nodding in response. "I accept and thank you so much."
Arkham
Batman and Batgirl made it to the west side of the prison where they head to the Visitor Center. While heading over they spotted of Ivy's mutated plants were beginning to die out. Possibly due to the destruction of Ivy's flower monster and her disconnection with the plants. They spot some unconscious prisoners that were probably attacked by the plants.
In front of the building they spotted the Joker's men waiting outside and were welcoming the two heroes. Just before trying to attack them. Batman and Batgirl took them out along with the men inside the hallway. Once they were taken out they headed into the Visitor Room.
It was empty, no lights, and the only thing they could see behind the window is what appears to be a Joker mannequin. With a TV on his head like the other ones they have seen. As they approach with caution to the window they see the Joker appear on the TV. Batman and Batgirl remained on their guard not knowing what the Joker is up to.
"Are you excited, Bats? I mean, we've been building up to this point all night," said the Joker from the monitor. "Don't tell me you've not been looking forward to it. I know I have. Surprise!" suddenly the real Joker is revealed to have been in the room as he lifts the TV up. "Everyone always said I should be in television."
Batman walks over and tried to punch through the glass, but only cracked it. The Joker laughed at this as he sets the TV down, while the Joker on the TV continued to speak. "You don't want to miss this. Really. It'll be a blast."
The Joker soon begins leaving the room as Batman realized the TV is a bomb. With the Joker on the TV counting down. He grabs Batgirl and tries to break open the door. It is locked as he tries to open it. Batgirl uses her cape to trench it over them both as she pressed a button on her utility belt.
The explosion erupted as it engulfed the room and hallway in flames. Even blowing the door behind the cape crusaders off. However, Batgirl's cape protected them as it was fire-proof and kept them from getting killed. Once the explosion was done they look around to see the Joker is gone.
Batman and Batgirl head down the hallway towards the other side of the destroyed window. There they see a door and follow it to find where the Joker escaped through. They soon find the Joker and where he has been hiding out. Inside a large room where the prisoners are kept before they go see the visitors.
The Joker is sitting on a tower that is filled with chairs, mannequins, and on the top is a throne. There the Joker is sitting up there with the wooden dummy, Scarface in his hand. Painted on to look like the Joker, but no signs of the Ventriloquist anywhere. Behind him though are two Titan monsters that are chained up.
"Why didn't you stop Batman?" the Joker asked the dummy as he replied to try sounding like the Scarface. "Me? It was your plan, you goofy clown!" the Joker got upset as he tosses the dummy away. "Ahh! I'm sending you back to the Ventriloquist where you belong!"
Scarface landed near the two heroes as the Joker got up from his throne. "You had to spoil everything, didn't you? Beating up Bane, feeding Scarecrow to Croc, slapping Harley – my hobby, by the way – and ruining all my lovely Venom plants."
"It's over, Joker," said Batman as Batgirl stood behind him as she looks around to see the prisoners all in their cells.
"Over? Why my dear delusional Dark Knight…" the Joker moves his hand over to a lever and grabs it. "It hasn't even begun!"
He pulls on it as it releases the chains on his two Titan monsters. The monsters charge at the two heroes as Batman and Batgirl leap over the two monsters. The Joker also releases the criminals from their cells as they charge at the heroes. Batman motions for Batgirl to take care of the criminals while he handles the Titan monsters.
Batgirl launched some marbles at the men causing them to fall to the ground. The rest still came at her, but the marbles exploded knocking them on the ground. She took out a metal staff as she charges at the men. She uses the staff to pole vault over the other men that were recovering from the explosion. She lands over one of them and kicks him right in the face.
She then uses her staff to hit the men around her as she uses her speed to take the men out. Some grab pipes, chains, and knives to arm themselves as they charge at Batgirl.
Meanwhile, Batman dodges the charges of the Titan monsters as they came at him. When they miss he rushes over to attack them from behind. However, the two monsters brought their fists down causing the ground around Batman to shake. One grabs him by the leg and slams him down, while the other tries to crush him with his foot.
Batman catches the foot and uses his suit to keep it from crushing down on him. He uses his suit to have his claws appear as they pierce into the skin of the monster. This forces the monster to jump away and hold its wounded foot. Batman took out a flash bomb and threw it into the face of the Titan monster that has his leg.
This forces the monster to free him as Batman leaps up and wraps his arm around his neck. He then forces the monster to charge at his friend knocking him to the ground. Batman looks over to see more of Joker's men appearing to attack Batgirl. So, he has the monster charge at them as it knocks the men out of the way.
Batgirl saw what Batman is doing and decides to try doing the same. She sees the other Titan monster recovering and rushes over. She leaps to his back, places her staff against his neck, and forces him to charge at the Joker's men. Soon, the two heroes used the monsters to take out Joker's men and knock them all out.
The two Titan monsters managed to grab the two heroes and toss them off of them. The two heroes land near each other as the two Titan monsters charge at them. Batman grabs Batgirl and uses his rocket boots to fly up. The two monsters crash head first into each other and fall to the ground passing out.
They land on the ground as they hear the Joker applauding at them. "Nicely done, Bats. You and your sidekick both deserve a prize. For you, Bats. Your old pal, Obi Wan Kenobi…" Joker pulls the lever and reveals Kenobi all tied up with bruises on his face.
"I thought…he escaped…" said Batgirl who didn't think Kenobi was still on the planet.
"Oh let's just say an old friend helped keep him around. That reminds me, here is your prize, kid," said Joker as the two heroes hear a loud rumbling behind them.
The two see another Titan monster appear and knocks them both down. The monster grabs Batgirl and tosses her across the room. Batgirl got back on her feet to see the monster is Maul, but now in Titan form. He lets out a loud roar as he charges at her.
Batman gets up and prepares to help her, when he hears the Joker speaking. "Hold on there, Bats. I say let the kids have their fun and speaking of fun. It doesn't look like Kenobi is having any fun. Let's pep him up!"
Batman sees the Joker take out a weapon that contains the Titan formula. Batman sees where Joker is aiming and flies up to save Kenobi. However, he gets shot in the chest by the syringe. It pierced through the armor as Batman feels the formula inject in him.
He quickly pulls it out, but he still felt enough of it flow in her. Beginning the transformation as Batman struggles to stop it.
The Joker came down from the tower to see the transformation up close. "Ooh, here we go! We're going to have some fun now, kiddies!" to Joker's disappointment though he sees Batman is struggling not to turn.
"You're trying to resist the change! That's not fair," said Joker as he kicks the Batman in the face to get him to transform. "Come on! Give in!"
Batman though refused to give the Joker what he wants and punches him right in the face. Despite holding bac the transformation his punch was still a lot stronger than before.
The Joker staggered a little, but managed to recover from the hit. "So, you wanna play hardball, Bats? Do ya? Your call!" the Joker too out a feather and tries to make the Batman laugh, but Batman slaps his hand away.
The Joker begins to feel frustrated and angry that this isn't going how he wants it. "You're ruining my big night! Months of planning down the crapper! I just wanted to bring down your grim façade and for once let you see the world as I see it, giggling in a corner and bleeding," said the Joker as he tightens his grip on his weapon. "But you've denied me even that."
It was then Joker decided there is only one thing left to do. "I have nothing to live for," said the Joker as he moves the weapon under his chin and fired. Injecting himself with the Titan.
Batman saw this and knew this is not good. The Joker has just injected himself of his own formula. He has no idea what is going to happen, but after seeing Joker's eyes open up. Glowing brightly and had a sinister look on his face he knew this is not good at all.
That's the end of the chapter and hope everyone likes how things went. Yep, we are near the end and the Joker has injected himself with the Titan. We also saw the Jedi have send Hera to help liberate the planet. But will they be too late to help?
Will Batgirl be able to handle Titan Maul? Will the others arrive in time to help her stop Maul? Will Batman be able to stop Titan Joker? And will it be the same way from the game?
