"Are you seriously telling me that this guy turned himself into a sort of vampire?" Spiderman asked
"Yes" Otto said
"Great and I take it he's immune to normal vampiric weaknesses?" Spiderman asked
"Unfortunately, but doesn't mean we can't stop him" Lizard said
"So how are we going to do that?" Spiderman asked
"During the planning stages of my experiments I made a compound that could remove foreign genetics from the human genome' Lizard said "It was to be a fallback plan"
"What kind of foreign genetics?" Spiderman asked
"Any kind of genetic information that wasn't originally human, meaning it will be useless against mutants" Lizard said
"But for someone like me, it could remove my powers" Spiderman said
"Only if you're the one injected with it" Otto said
"Okay" Spiderman said "So where is it?"
"My old lab in ESU" Lizard said
"Okay, I hope I can get to it in time" Spiderman said
"We wish the same" Otto said as they watched the young hero leave
"So, what's the situation?" Oliver asked as he and Cho entered the lab
"Teresa's been bitten by a vampire" Gwen said
"Cool, and creepy. Do we have any DNA of the vampire?" Cho asked
"No we don't" Miles said
"That is going to make things harder for us" Cho said
"No kidding" Oliver said
"And with Aaron dead, that makes things well" Ben said
"We know" MJ said
"So what's the plan now?" Cho asked
"Peter's looking into something" Gwen said
"Hopefully it will help" Cho said
"Okay, where would I be if I Genetic recomposer...I didn't actually get the name of it" Spiderman said as he entered the lab and looked around, one of the things he saw was Connor's files on the cross-genetic experiment he used to regrow his arm and become the Lizard "I'm guessing he was going to use the re-composer to try and remove any of the reptilian DNA in his system. Too bad he didn't get a chance to use it" Spidey thought as he continued to search the lab before he came upon something disturbing "Why would Dr Connors have information on Vampire bats, especially their blood sequencing, unless"
"That's right little spider, I was one his lab partners" Morbius said as he suddenly appeared
"Oh Webs" Spiderman said as he leapt back, spraying some web in the vampire's face making the monster in turn hiss
"I know what are you here for, and no you are going to get it" Morbius said as he looked around the room
"Oh yeah and what is that?" Spiderman asked
"The cleanser, or as you called it the Genetic re-composer" Morbius said
"So it was designed to work on you" Spiderman said as he hid above the vampire
"Yes, it was originally for Connors but once he got wind of my experiment and prepared a cure, but sadly it means that it won't return him to normal" Morbius said smirking "And then there was that fool Parker" he said making Spider-Man freeze
"And what did he try to do to you?" Peter asked feeling his muscles tense under his suit in anger
"He tried to stop my experiments before they even started, he considered them too unethical, that it would cause my body irreversible harm" Morbius said
"He was right, you turned yourself into a freaking undead vampire" Spiderman said
"NO!" Morbius roared "I am not undead, I am Morbius the living vampire" Morbius said
"You're still a Vampire" a voice said as something crashed into the lab making Morbius turn around in shock before white eyes and fangs showed themselves in the darkness that was Connors lab
"VENOM!" Spiderman shouted
"Stand back" Ghost Spider said as she landed in the lab
"You brought him here?" Spiderman asked
"Oh like we had a choice" Kid Arachnid said as the rest of Peter's teams showed up
"Very well" Morbius said turning into mist before disappearing
"Good riddence" Venom said
"No so fast" Dark Widow said
"Who are you?" Spiderman asked
"Just call me a friend" Venom said looking over his shoulder before leaving the lab
"I hate it when that guy does that" Cho said from inside his buster armour
"No kidding, but now we have a bigger problem" Spiderman said
"Yeah, the gene cleanser or whatever it's called" Dark Widow said looking around
"Before Morbius can harm more people" Spiderman said
"Ow" Teresa said as she tried to sit up
"I would advise against that" Oliver said
"Olly, what's going on?" she asked
"You were bitten by a Vampire, but luckily it seems that the infection is being held back by your spider powers" Oliver said
"Oh" Teresa said "That's good"
"And we're looking for the antidote as we speak, but just in case I'm ready to sedate you" Oliver said
"Good idea" Teresa said "So where are the others?" she asked
"Nothing here, here, here or here" Miles said
"We get it, it's not here" Gwen said
"Maybe you should go back to Dr Connors and see if he can give you a better idea where its located" Flash said
"I agree" MJ said
"I don't know, it's like we're missing something" Peter said looking around
"I think we are" Cho said as he pointed to an empty cooler "I'm guessing that Morbius was here to take it before we could"
"I don't think so" Peter said "If he did get it before us why was he here"
"To see who would try and take it probably" Gwen said
"Or to see who had already taken it" Peter said
"What do you mean?" MJ asked
"It wasn't there, so obviously Connors hid it somewhere I couldn't find it easily" Morbius said unaware of the person behind him
"Do you really think we were that stupid Michael?" Otto asked
"Ah, Otto Octavius" Morbius said as he turned behind him to see his old colleague standing there "Where is it?"
'Where's what?" Otto asked as he activated the mechanical spine that allowed him to fully control his tentacles
"The gene cleanser" Morbius said as he hissed baring his fangs.
"Like I would tell you where I've hidden it" Otto said pulling on a pair of goggles "I'm sorry old friend, but it will be needed to cure you"
"I DON'T WANT TO BE CURED!" Morbius shouted as he charged at Otto, who simply used his tentacles to smack Morbius back before he used them to move around, hissing again Morbius disappeared and reappeared behind Otto about to slash at him with one of the tentacles grabbed him and slammed him into the floor followed a shock being administered to the vampire
"You didn't think I would fall for that did you?" he asked whipping Morbius into an air conditioner unit "Please I feel insulted Michael, how long have we been friends?"
"Long enough for me to know all of your tricks to" Morbius said grabbing the next tentacle that was sent at him, using it to fling Otto into the ground cracking the cement underneath the doctor "You've become soft enriching younger minds" the bloodsucker said
"Better a teacher then a monster" Otto said as he was able to get up and stumble before his tentacles opened and closed rapidly to seem intimidating
"There's got to be some kind of clue as to where he hid the damn formula" Cindy said looking over some information on Connor's computer while Peter was just sitting in one of his chair spinning around "Can you not do that?" she asked
"I'm bored" he said
"Well find something, there's some papers that he wrote on the cross-genetic therapy he discovered" Cindy said
"Yeah, yeah" Peter said as his eyes hit something that surprised him
"What is it?" Cindy asked noticing this
"A photo, with Dr Octavius, Dr Connors and dad...wait a minute" Peter said
"What is it?" Cindy asked
"We're looking in the wrong lab! the clue he gave me was his old lab in ESU" Peter said
"How this is the only lab he's had" Cindy said
"Who he had an older lab, one he shared with Dad and Doc Ock" Peter said
"But he has information here" Cindy said
"That's because he shifted everything here when he got tenure" Peter said
"Then where's the old ESU lab?" Cindy asked
"by the applied sciences department" Peter said as he masked up and jump out of the window and swung across campus
"Sure I'll follow you" Cindy said pulling her own mask up and leaping out the same window "HEY WAIT UP!" she shouted
"Give up old friend, you know that you can't win" Morbius said
"I'll give it my best try" Otto said as he spat out some blood "After all I couldn't look in my student's eyes if they found out their teacher lost to a Dracula rip off
"Why to go Doc" Kid Arachnid said showing up with Agent Venom and Ghost Spider
"You three" Otto said as he glared at Morbius
"Like you three can deal with me as well" Morbius smugly said
"Hey" Kid Arachnid said before he charged his bio electricity powers before rushing at her, Ghost Spider shot web into his eyes blinding him giving Agent Venom the opening he needed to jump kick Morbius into Kid Arachnid's venom shock stunning him to have Otto strike him with his tentacles,
"My turn" Ghost Spider said jumping onto her hands before performing a hand stand before leaping back as Agent Venom started to punch him in the gut
"Not so tough" Agent Venom said before he was flipped onto his back and kicked into Kid Arachnid shocking him
"Guys!" Ghost Spider said before she felt Morbius' hands around her neck
"You smell wonderful" he said before licking her neck
"HEY VLAD!" Spiderman shouted suddenly appearing
"Wallcrawler" Morbius said
"I found it, and I've got it, come and get it" Spiderman said falling back before slinging away as Morbius turned into mist and started to chase after him
"So where is he?" Prowler asked
"I don't know just stay quiet or something" Scarlet Spider said
"And why aren't we fighting the vampire directly?" Sky Knight asked
"Because of Spidey's plan" Prowler said
"COMING THROUGH!" Spiderman shouted
"Speaking of" Scarlet Spider said as he saw that Morbius had reformed "NOW!" Scarlet Spider said firing off a barrage web bullets, stunning the vampire
"My turn" Sky Knight said pulling out a pumpkin bomb, exploding in his face blinding him
"Smile ugly" Prowler said shoving a small container into his mouth "Come on, come on" he said as Morbius bit down "Got some of the venom"
"Good work, now let's finish this!" Spiderman said as he and Scarlet Spider leapt at Morbius and slugged him in the face
"You're up Prowler!" Scarlet Spider said
"Okie dokie" Prowler said twisting his gauntlet so it shoot a dart out
"NOO!" Morbius cried out as the gene cleanser entered his system "What have you done to me?" he asked as his flesh started to gain more pigment and his vampiric features started to fade away
"We cured you" Sky Knight said
"You didn't do anything like that, you've doomed me, to the life of a cripple, a life I will die from very soon" Morbius saiud
"Don't worry old friend, I'll get you the help needed" Otto said as he picked up Morbius and took him down to street level
"SO he became a Vampire to cure a disease, only to have the disease come back at full force upon being cured?" Oliver asked as he was working on an antidote to Moribus' bit for Teresa who looked a little better
"Yeah, he tried to use a prototype of the same method that Dr Connors used to combine Lizard DNA" Peter said
"And your dad tried trod help him out right?" MJ asked
"Yeah along with Dr Connors and Dr Octavius, but it didn't work and he slowly turned into the Living Vampire" Peter said
"So what happened to him?" Gwen asked
"They took him to Ryker's Island and are currently holding him in the special case medical wing there, then if they cure the disease they'll send him to Ravencroft for psychiatric help" Peter said
"Meanwhile we keep on defending the city like usual" Ben said as he looked "Including finding the asshole who killed Aaron"
"Tarantula!" Peter growled "And when we do, he's going to regret ever taking the name of that spider" Peter said frowning.
G'day Guys Grizz here look last time I said about the three months thing it was a joke I wasn't intending to actually take three month, well four rather this was suppose to be up the end of last month. What with it being the spookiest time fo year and this chapter again feautiring Morbius but hey better late then never right. So yeah just straight forward chapter what with them looking for the thing that would cure Morbius which I took from the way they defeated Venom in the Spectactular Spiderman cartoon, (wish that had a third season) and the reappearance of Oliver aka Steel Spider which I keep forgetting about. Plus Doc Ock showing up to fight Morbius was something I had planned for ages and I'm glad I was able to finally do that scene.
Now I can firmly say that there will be only 3 chapters left of this fic before completion and yes Tarantula will be the final villain rather then Green Goblin or Venom so stay tune for that
