Here we are with Story III: Chapter I or rather chapter 48 since I am combining all the Arkham stories together. So, now I am in the third Arkham game and got one more to go. But for now, the story is going to be focused on Arkham City. Honestly, the best of the Arkham games and stories.
Now then, the story is going to take place five years later. I was going to make it longer, but with what I got in store I decided no this is fine. I know in the game it takes place a year later. But there is a reason for making it five years later.
Now, last time Batman succeeded in defeating the Joker in Arkham Asylum and the galaxy was saved. But now, a new threat is rising against him. Will the Batman be able to defeat this new threat? Will he be able to save the galaxy, or will this be the end of the Batman?
Read on to find out and also remember. Trying to fit Arkham into the Star Wars universe. Hasn't been easy but doing the best I can with this. While also making sure it fits in with the game.

Long ago in a galaxy far, far away…
*Star Wars theme song* begins to play
Story III: Chapter I
Five years has passed since the events of Arkham Prison. The prison was shut down after the former warden, Quincy Sharp ran to become the new chancellor of the Republic. The former chancellor, Mon Mothma was removed from power after falling into a coma from an unknown illness. Despite those believing she was intentionally infected by this unknown illness, but due to no evidence to back this up, the election went on through.
Quincy Sharp won the votes after mysterious accidents caused other candidates to drop out or fall ill. In the end, Sharp became the new chancellor and his first orders were to shut down the Arkham prison. He blamed the incident on the former chancellor, the Jedi, the government and the Batman. He gained support from the rich and powerful so he could build a new prison that would ensure what happened before wouldn't happen again.
A new Arkham prison right in the city of Coruscant. The senate approved his proposal and was able to cut off a section of the city to build his prison. He called it: Arkham City. He gained the support of the prison by Grand Moff Tarkin and the new warden he placed in charged, Thrawn. A Chiss from the Unknown Regions, with blue skin, blue-black hair, and red eyes.
Thrawn was found by Waller who decided to recruit him and with Tarkin's help got him to the Republic's military academy. Thrawn rose up in the ranks and became a famous military leader.
Thrawn soon took control of the prison and hired a group of ex-military soldiers to be the guards of the prison. At first, the public seemed okay with the new prison once it was active. However, citizens, politicians, and those who protested the prison all began disappearing. Soon this turned the public to turn on the prison idea and is asked to be taken down.
One of the people protesting this prison is Padme Amidala. She plans a meeting to discuss a possible way to end this prison and elect Bail Organa to run as the next chancellor for the Republic. Unaware though that an unseen force is coming to the planet. Something that will forever change the Republic and the galaxy that could end up bringing nothing but pain and destruction…
Coruscant
The city of Coruscant, the capitol of the Republic can be seen appearing dark due to the dark clouds forming around the planet. This occurred after Chancellor Sharp began experimenting with the weather machine for something he wanted to do. This made the city of Coruscant look dark and gloomy. The city prison also helped make the city look less hospitable than it was before.
When Chancellor Quincy Sharp took over, he cut off the downtown part of Coruscant from the upper levels to make room for his prison city, Arkham City. Chancellor Sharp blamed the failure of Arkham Asylum at the hands of the Batman, the Jedi, and the former chancellor. He wanted to build a city prison that would help control the inmates and have them destroy each other instead of keeping them locked in cells. His success came after the former chancellor was assassinated, several opponents disappeared or dropped out, and the support from the high-class members of the Republic.
Not to mention the full support from Moff Tarkin. Amanda Waller though felt differently and decided to end her partnership with Tarkin. Mostly in secrecy due to how the Batman almost exposed their experiments on the Asylum. She decided not to risk Batman finding out more of their projects and ended the partnership, which she blamed Tarkin for not doing his job right with securing their work properly.
Still, Sharp didn't care and was able to get support for his prison. However, there were protests from the citizens who live in the area where he wanted to build the prison. They refused to go and demanded the chancellor to change his mind. The protests were silenced though and much of the galaxy assumed the citizens left.
Thankfully Abigail and her company helped the people relocate. Providing them shelters and homes, which got her heat from the chancellor. She didn't care though and focused more on helping the people. This got the attention of other senators who began protesting the prison being built, but it was too late.
The prison was now set up and there was nothing much that could be done. At least, that was until Padme Amidala returned as senator for Naboo. She began protesting along with other senators and began getting the people behind them. To the point a meeting will be held to discuss the prison and if they will be able to shut it down.
A Naboo Royal Starship is seen exiting from hyperspace as it heads towards planet of Coruscant. Inside the ship the queen of Naboo, Apailana is seen with Padme Amidala. The two women are in the queen's chamber discussing about their upcoming meeting with their friend, Bail Organa. They showed their support to Organa when he announced he would be running against Sharp. Sharp has been chancellor ever since Mon Mothma fell ill.
Padme was sure the former chancellor was poisoned, and Quincy Sharp was involved in all of this. But due to lack of evidence they couldn't continue with the investigation. Still, it doesn't mean they won't be able to remove Sharp from office. Thankfully, Padme's secret friends have been protecting Bail from harm.
However, Padme knew even with Sharp's popularity going down it doesn't mean all the senators will vote for Bail. That's why she needs more help. Hopefully the meeting tonight with her friends will help them come up with an idea of what they need to do. Thankfully the queen came along to show her support.
"Thank you again for joining us. I just hope we can convince as many senators as we can to go along with the vote," said Padme as she goes over the list of senators they need to convince. "I just hope public opinion will help change things."
"A shame you are no longer the chancellor," said Queen Apailana as she sat in her seat. "I'm sure if you were still in power, I doubt Sharp would dare challenge you."
Padme chuckled softly knowing that was true. "A lot of people see me as their champion, but…" she turns over to the sofa nearby where she sees her two kids sleeping. "I have two little ones who needed me more."
The queen smiles when she sees the kids and smiled a little. "Hard to imagine they are now ten years old. You must be proud of them."
Padme nods in response and puts her holopad down. "I am proud of them. I'm just glad I have been able to raise them well despite everything that has happened. I just hope they continue to grow up without carrying the burden we deal with now."
The queen nods in agreement. "That is why we must do this. Not just for your children, but for all those who wish for a peaceful galaxy. It won't happen so long as their city prison stands. I just hope this won't spread to other worlds."
Padme knew she couldn't let that happen. It was bad enough that Sharp cut off part of Coruscant's city to make his prison, but she heard he wanted to expand his prison to other worlds. She heard some systems seem interested. She just hopes they can stop this before more homes are taken from the innocent.
Padme grabs her list and goes over it again. Noticing one of the names on the list. "Miranda Tate? Who is she?"
The queen looks at the name on the list and turns to Padme. "I believe she is the owner of a corporation on Serenno. She was just was also elected to become senator last month. Do you think you might be able to convince her to join us?"
Padme looks at the name and then the picture of the senator feeling she has seen her before. "Maybe. I guess we'll find out when we see her."
A knock came from the door as the royal guard captain came into the room. "My queen, we are arriving soon to the landing platform."
"Very good," said Queen Apailana as she turns to Padme. "Shall we wake the kids?"
"I will wake them. Please let Ms. Wayne we will be arriving soon as well. We will be staying over with her," said Padme as she grabs her things.
"Are you sure you don't wish to stay with us?" the queen asked as she stood up. "I assure you it is safe."
Padme turns to the queen and smiles. "I know it is, but Abigail and her brother are like family to us. The kids want to see them, and I know they are looking forward to seeing them too."
The queen smiles a little and nods in response. "Very well, but if you change your mind the door is always open."
Padme nods in response before she leaves the room alone with her thoughts. I'm sorry, Apailana. But from what Abigail told me I am safer with them than I am with you. You will also be safer without me with you since it will make you less of a target.
She goes into her room where she finds her children are awake and are with their mentor. "Mom!" both twins shouted as they ran up to their mother.
"Aunt Ahsoka said once we arrive to Coruscant she would take us to the Jedi Temple while you speak with the Senate. Can we go, please?" said young Luke.
"Yeah, please?" said young Leia. "We don't want to sit around in the apartment or your office. We'll get bored and we want to go to the temple where dad was trained."
Padme sighs as she turns to her friend, Ahsoka. Ahsoka grew up during the five years. Her headtails grew longer down to her chest, her headdress also got longer with the tips being pointier, her markings on her face also changed as well, and she appeared older looking. She was now 27 years old and possessed two lightsabers on her belt.
"I hope you don't mind. It would keep them busy and allow them to learn more about their father," Ahsoka replied as she spoke to her friend. "I think it would be nice."
Padme nods in response. "Sure, I suppose that's fine. Just remember to have them back before dinner."
"Yay!" both twins exclaimed.
As the twins went to go get their things ready Ahsoka approached Padme. "I know you want them to remain close with you during the meeting. However, it would keep them from sensing something is wrong. Since this trip they've been sensing you've been hiding something from them. Despite what I tell them I know it won't be able to change their mind."
Padme knew this to be true. When her children were born, she was told how strong they were with the Force. This didn't surprise her since she knew how strong Anakin was with the Force. So, it was only natural the kids would inherit this gift as well.
She has tried to keep it hidden since she didn't want to risk the children from getting harmed. That's why when Ahsoka retired as Batwoman she offered to teach the children. Protect and teach them in the ways of the Force. Yes, she wasn't a Jedi anymore, but it didn't mean she stopped learning.
Padme appreciated this though. She knew she wouldn't be able to teach the kids on how to use the Force. She's just worried about having her teach her kids how to fight. Turns out her kids are getting lessons in self-defense and some of the moves she learned from Daniel.
"Just promise me you won't have them end up becoming the next Batgirl or Robin," said Padme who couldn't imagine herself letting her kids go off to fight crime. "Speaking of which, how is Daniel doing? I know ever since you and Lux retired, he's had only Cassandra, right?"
Ahsoka sighed as she rubs the back of her head. "Well, he acts like nothing is wrong, but I know something is bothering him. Abigail told me it has something to do with Thrawn and Arkham City. He's worried Thrawn is up to something. He isn't sure what it is, but he is worried it will happen soon."
Padme was also concerned on what this Thrawn is up to. After Tarkin introduced him to the Republic and how he will be the warden she felt uneasy about him. Not because she has never seen anyone like him before, but just the feeling she felt when he speaks and stares at you. It feels like a cold chill running up her spine.
"Well, hopefully whatever it is I know he'll be able to handle it. He's done it before and he'll do it again," said Padme as she walks over to check on her kids.
Ahsoka though was unsure about it this time, especially how she sensed this is different. For the sake of the galaxy I hope your right, Padme.
Meanwhile
As the ship began entering the planet a dark figure can be seen hiding in a nearby large building. The building was far from the landing platform where the ship is set to land in. Not a problem for this figure as he took out a long rifle and begins adjusting his scope's vision. Getting ready for his target.
This figure was an assassin hired to take out Senator Amidala, her brats, and the queen. The rifle he is using will send an experimental bullet he made to help pierce through the ship's haul. It will cause the ship to explode and kill everyone on the landing platform. Sure, he would prefer shooting them all at the same time, but his employer wanted this done quickly.
So, the moment he saw the ship coming he began getting things ready. The ship soon begins to land as the figure prepares to aim at his target. He could just shoot the ship and just blow everyone up instead of waiting for them to land. Hmm, yeah that sounds like a better idea he thought as he takes aim.
He knew it will take him a minute to get to his ship and take off. He set up some detonators around the building. So, in case someone comes snooping around any evidence against him will be destroyed. Leaving no trace, he was ever here.
Suddenly something hits his weapon and he misses his shot. He turns around and saw a large dark figure glide at him. Kicking him right in the chest and knocking him across the room he is in. The assassin gets up and sees who attacked him.
"You damn, freak. I thought you don't come out till nighttime!" the assassin shouted knowing the sun has not set yet.
The figure was revealed to be wearing a dark costume with a red bat symbol on the chest, a utility belt around the waist, and a mask over the face with the ears pointy. The figure who arrived to stop the assassin was none other than the Batman himself as he glares at the assassin without saying a word.
"Oh? Not going to say anything, freak? Fine…" the assassin's wrist gauntlets began to glow. "Then just die!" he soon opened fire from his wrist gauntlets as the Batman began running to dodge the shots.
The assassin continued firing as he kept missing and hits the walls. The Batman runs into a nearby room where the assassin threw a grenade inside. The grenade explodes and the assassin waits for any signs of the body. He is just hoping the explosion won't be heard by his targets so he can still get the job done.
He goes to the room to find nothing inside. "What the hell? Where did he go?" he knew the Batman couldn't have escape there was no way out.
Suddenly two Batarangs hit his wrist gauntlets and begin emitting electricity. Electrocuting the man as he screamed in pain. Suddenly the Batman appeared out of nowhere and punched him square in the face sending him flying across the room. He crashed into the wall and fell on his knees.
The assassin removes his wrist gauntlets as he sees the Batman approach him. He tries to pull out a blaster, but the Batman brought his foot down on his hand. This caused the man to scream in pain as he felt his hand break. The Batman lifted the assassin up and slammed him against the wall.
"Who hired you, Floyd?" the Batman asked while using a voice modulator to hide his voice and sound more menacing.
The assassin was revealed to be Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot. Former Mandalorian soldier before he ended up becoming an assassin.
"I don't know what you are talking about, freak," said Deadshot who refused to give up any information.
Batman punched him in the face and then slammed him against the wall. "I won't answer again. Tell me who hired you or…" Batman stopped when his suit began alerting him of incoming trouble.
Deadshot soon begins hearing a familiar sound heading towards them. He looks over to see gunships flying at them causing him to smile. "TYGER Guards, Thrawn's personal assassins. I guess you won't be getting out of me huh?"
Batman though did get something as he lifted Deadshot. "You just did…" he then drives his head against Deadshot and knocks him out before running towards the window.
He leaps out and begins gliding away past the three gunships that were outside. They begin going after him until the Batman called the Batmobile as it flew passed the gunships. It picks up Batman and used its turbo to fly away. The gunships gave up and head on back to the building.
Inside the building several armed men are seen walking in the room where they find Deadshot unconscious. The men all appear to look like Clone soldiers, except their armor was different. The armor was dark, bulkier, and only one of the helmets was red. The one with the red helmet kneeled in front Deadshot and checked his pulse.
Once he got a pulse, he begins contacting someone. "Sir, we found Deadshot. He's alive but injured. The Batman was here, but he escaped..." the soldier orders his men to grab Deadshot and cuff him. "It all went like you said it would. But if you knew this would happen why didn't you have us bring the Batman in?"
"Because I said so…" a figure replied through the communicator as he is seen in a dark room, while looking at different images of the Batman on his screens. "It is not time yet to go after him. In time he will come to us and then we will begin preparations for Protocol Ten."
The figure begins playing a recording of Batman fighting Deadshot in the room and seeing the ferocity coming from him. "Bring Mr. Lawton in and make sure everything is set up for him when he goes to Arkham City. Remind him that he still has a job to complete once inside."
"Yes sir," said the soldier before motioning for his men they are moving out.
Once the communication ended, the figure began watching footages of the Batman's past fighting. Against armed criminals, super powerful monsters, and even against his own men.
"Extraordinary. He told me you would be a worthy opponent for me to prove myself," spoke the figure as he approached the screens showing his face. Short dark hair, blue skin, red eyes, and is seen wearing a white admiral uniform.
The figure is revealed to be Grand Admiral Thrawn, the warden for Arkham City. He stares at the Batman and what he has done admiring what he is capable of. "You will be quite the challenge. I know this because it is what you do. Anytime a great threat rises you will do everything in your power to stop it. This time though, you and those that follow you will all fall…Mr. Wayne."
Short opening, but it was needed. I hope everyone likes it and how things started off. Yep, five years later and things don't look good. The galaxy is now under the control of Quincy Sharp. He is in charge of the Republic and gave control of the prison to Thrawn.
I also wanted Thrawn as the Hugo Strange of this world because…let's be honest he fits that role well. Also, yeah Ahsoka and Lux no longer masked heroes. Why? More on this will be explained later on.
Also, will I include another Robin for Batman to have? Also, please don't send suggestions I already have someone in mind. Also, the chapters will be kept to this amount of length mostly because I don't want to spend too much time on this while I work on my other stories. For now, I hope you all like this.
