Here we go with chapter two or rather chapter 49. I hope everyone is ready and are looking forward to this chapter. I want to first of all thank everyone for the reviews. I appreciate it guys and glad how the first chapter of the third story went.
Also, the Clone Wars season 7 is going so well. I am happy with how it's going and it's a shame I didn't have my story set up around that time. Maybe for another time for another story. Anyways, last time we found out that Thrawn is the warden for Arkham City.
Thrawn is the Hugo Strange of the story since I'm sure some people were confused with why Strange isn't in the story. Thrawn to me fits perfectly as Strange, especially how he was always one-step ahead of our heroes during the Rebels series. So, why not have him be Strange for this story?
I also figured he'd figure out who Batman is. Regardless of whatever help he gets to find out the truth. Still, how will things go for our heroes? Will Daniel and the others be able to take down Thrawn before his plan goes through? Or think Thrawn will be more of a challenge for Batman than Strange would be?
Read on to find out and also there will be some stuff in here that will be like from Arkham City. However, there will be some changes made here and there. Just so everyone knows. That way it will be a little different and people won't expect it all to be the same thing.

Story III: Chapter II
Coruscant
Padme and her family soon arrived at the apartment belonging to Abigail and Daniel Wayne. The apartment was given an upgrade so it would be safer for those who stay inside. This was done so any senators or royal family members who come to the planet will feel safe. That way they won't have to worry about someone trying to harm them if they go to any apartments that have been set up for them.
In fact, Bail Organa moved to the apartment for better security after someone attempted to kill him and his wife. The queen of Naboo was offered a place in the apartment, but she trusts her security on keeping her safe. It didn't mean though that Abigail didn't have someone keep an eye on her. Since she knew how much Padme cared for the safety of the queen.
Padme though knew once she is done with seeing Abigail, she'll need to drop the kids off with Ahsoka. Ahsoka promised she would join them once she finished speaking with Obi-Wan Kenobi and later teach the children.
Ahsoka wanted to make sure everything would be okay when they go to the Senate to discuss ending the prison city. She got word earlier that someone attempted to attack the queen of Naboo's ship earlier. So, she wanted to make sure when they head there they won't run into any problems. Padme though didn't need to worry since the security at Abigail's place is safe.
The apartment itself was made to have better security than before, a shield generator that will protect the building from any sort of attack, and armed guards. Both Commando Droids, that have been reprogrammed to serve the people who live in the apartment. And retired Clone soldiers who left the army of the Republic.
In fact, when Padme and the twins arrived, they met up with one of those Clones. "Captain Rex, it's been a long time," Padme greeted the former Clone soldier.
Rex turns to see who it is and smiled. "Its good to see you again Ms. Amidala," said Rex as he appeared older with a short grey beard.
The twins run over to Rex and give him a hug. "Hey there, Rex!" both twins said in unison.
"It's good to see you again," said Leia as she breaks the hug first. "Did you miss us?"
"Yeah! Did you miss us?" Luke asked who was as excited as his sister to see the former Clone captain.
Rex chuckled softly and nods in response as he pets both the heads of the kids. "Of course, I missed you both. I'm always happy to see my little privates coming by to see me. I assume you two have been doing a good job protecting your mother from danger. And listening to her?"
Both twins nod in response as they stood in attention. Padme couldn't help but giggle when she saw this as she walks over to the kids.
"Whenever we go out somewhere, they do look a good job looking out for me. But when we're at the house they do tend to get themselves in trouble," said Padme as she walks over to give Rex a hug. "It's great to see you again, Rex. How have you been?"
Rex return the hug and is happy to see Padme again. "I've been fine. Just doing my job and making sure everyone is safe as always."
"I'm glad to hear that, especially after Abigail and Daniel were able to help all the Clones," said Padme as she recalls what happened after the Clones like Rex who began aging due to the accelerated growth the Clones were given to grow faster so they can reach adulthood for combat.
"Yeah, just glad she got to us all in time for us so we can still do our jobs or at least give us good jobs to take after the war ended," said Rex who is thankful for what the Wayne siblings did for him and his brothers.
After the Clone Wars, many of the Clones didn't know what to do. They remained with the Republic helping train new recruits and maintain order. However, those like Rex that began aging knew they would become too old to continue doing their jobs. But thanks to the Wayne siblings they found a way to halt the acceleration growth so they can age normally.
This gave many of the Clones a chance to leave the Republic to finally live out normal lives and enjoy their retirement. Rex however, decided to work for the Wayne siblings for security. He managed to recruit Fives, Cody, and a few other Clones for the job as a way to return the favor. They weren't fans of working with the Separatist droids that Abigail had reprogrammed, but it was fun to give them orders and make them do what they want instead of them trying to kill them.
"I just wish the others had accepted the job than work for someone like Thrawn," said Rex knowing most of his brothers ended up working with Thrawn and his Tyger forces. "Anyways, Ms. Wayne is upstairs waiting for you. Do you need any help with the bags?"
Padme nods in response knowing with her own bags and the bags of the kids she'll need help. Rex pressed a button on his wrist gauntlet and soon five Battle Droids walked into the room. The twins looked on as they see the droids their mother used to tell them were once enemies of the Republic. But instead of shooting at them, the droids picked up the bags and begin taking them upstairs to the apartment.
"Thank you, Rex. Aren't you going to join us?" Padme asked wondering if the former captain will go up with them.
Rex shook his head in response. "I'm going to be busy working with Fives making sure everything will be set up for tonight. But I'll see you all later."
"Can you also teach us how to use a blaster too?" Luke asked hoping he'll say yes.
Leia nods in agreement. "Yeah, you said you would teach us how to use one when we come back."
Padme raised an eyebrow and turns to the former captain. "You did huh?"
"Um o-only if your mother is fine with that kids," said Rex remembering how he did promise to teach the kids how to use a blaster but forgot to ask their mother.
Padme sighed as she motions for the kids to get going. "If they behave on the trip then we'll talk about it," said Padme as the kids let out a loud groan. "Now enough of that kids. Let's get going. It was good seeing you again, Rex. We'll see you later."
"You too, Ms. Amidala," said Rex as he sees Padme leave with the kids and the droids to the elevator.
Once they are gone, he lets out a small sigh and leans against the wall. "I need to later teach those kids how to keep a good secret," he then let's out a small chuckle when he remembered something from before. "Maybe just a little better than their father when it came to secrets."
Meanwhile
Padme and her kids soon made their way up to where Abigail is and see her in her wheelchair being pushed by Tatsu.
"Aunt Abigail!" the twins run over and give their aunt a big hug.
Abigail giggled softly and hugs the twins as she feels their hug. "Aww its good to see you two again. I hope you both have been staying out of trouble and not driving your mother insane."
Both twins giggled and nod in response. "I've been behaving, aunt Abigail. But Luke keeps getting into trouble," said Leia as she points to her brother.
"Do not!" Luke replied as he points to his sister. "She's the one who keeps getting into mommy's makeup and tries dressing up like her."
"I do not!" Leia replied while blushing a little. "Luke is the one who keeps trying to drive the speeder to race."
Abigail giggled softly as she begins trying to calm the kids down. "Its okay you two. Believe it or not your mother used to get herself in trouble too. Why, I remember when we were little your mother and your uncle Daniel used to sneak into the kitchen to take some as many sweets as they could grab. And they would eat all the sweets until they ended up getting sick."
Both twins laughed when they imagined their mother, who was always strict with them about eating too much sweets, and yet she used to eat so much sweets herself when she was little. And like she used to warn them, ate too much and her tummy ended up hurting.
Padme cleared her throat and tried to move this topic off the embarrassing moment in her life. "Yes, well how about you two go unpack and get ready for your day with Aunt Ahsoka before I change my mind."
The twins nod as they begin going to their rooms with the droids following them. Tatsu takes them to their rooms so they can get ready for today. Also knowing the two women want to talk alone. Once they were gone, Abigail and Padme are now able to talk alone.
Padme walks over to the living room where she sat down on the sofa. "How's everything here? I heard Sharp has been threatening you and Daniel?"
Abigail moves her left hand up and moves it side to side giving her a 'meh' hand motion. "He tried to threaten us, but it was a weak one. He tried to force us to work with him so he can gain support from the public since his approval rating has been going down. But we brushed him off and called him on his bluff. However, we have been getting pestered by different criminals, who my brother is convinced, Thrawn had sent."
Padme was told by Abigail that Thrawn has been apparently behind the disappearances of those who speak out against the chancellor and the prison city. They can't prove anything, but each of the disappearances happen with Thrawn's Tyger guards involved. In fact, Daniel had to deal with them a few times and was surprised with how skilled they are getting each time he fights them. To the point he is stepping up his game when he fights them.
"Luckily, we've managed to stay one step ahead of them and we've survived," Abigail lied not wanting to worry Padme. "In fact, Daniel says he has something planned tonight when you go to speak with the senate."
Padme didn't like the sound of what Daniel is up to. "I appreciate that he wants to help us shut down the prison, but I can handle it. I don't want him getting in any sort of trouble. You know Sharp will not allow any sort of protest to interrupt the meeting today."
"It's not a protest per say," said Abigail knowing a protest is a large group of people that are speaking out against something. "What he is doing is setting up a group of reporters to come over so they can hear his announcement of what he wants to do against the prison. That's all."
Padme still didn't like this since she knows Sharp will still do something about it. He doesn't care who Daniel is and how this will make him look bad.
"Just promise me he'll have some guards with him to keep anything bad from happening?" Padme asked hoping Daniel will be okay. "I don't want anything bad happening to him or to anyone tonight. I want to try ending this prison my way and through the senate."
"Don't worry. He knows what he's doing, and you forget who he is," said Abigail as she placed her hand on her friend's and smiles. "Anyways, I have your room set up so you can get ready to go over your speech. I know you planned to go to your office, but it's better to do it here than over there, right?"
Padme sighed in response figuring Abigail had this planned out. Not that she should be complaining since she knew if Sharp is behind what happened to Mothma then like Abigail said it is safer here than in her office.
"All right. Just please be careful and please make sure your brother won't do anything reckless," said Padme as she prepares to go to the office when she forgot to say something and turns to her friend. "Abby, if anything does happen tonight, promise me the kids will stay safe with you and the others. Okay?"
Abigail turns to her friend and can understand why she said this. Ever since the people began disappearing for protesting Sharp, Padme has been worried the same will happen to her. Hell, if Sharp wanted to, he could get his buddies to try harming her children. That's something she cannot allow and knows with Abigail they'll be safe.
"Don't worry. Tonight, everything will be okay, and we'll make sure that doesn't happen," said Abigail as she goes to her friend and took her hand. "Daniel and I will make sure of it."
Padme gave a small smile to her friend and nods in response. "Thank you," she replied knowing they will do all they can to make sure that won't happen. "I just don't want anything bad to happen to them."
"And nothing bad will happen to them or to you. Knowing Daniel, he'll do whatever it takes to make sure that doesn't happen. I promise," said Abigail knowing how much Daniel cares about Padme and the twins. He'll make sure nothing will happen to them or die trying.
Naboo
Meanwhile, outside of the city of Theeds is Wayne Manor. Home to the Wayne family for many generations. Inside of the home, Alfred is seen preparing everything for the trip to Coruscant. He knew with what the young master has planned it is going to be a long trip.
Alfred knew also it was going to be a risky trip, but if they don't do something soon then innocent lives will be lost. He turns to the Holonet to see yet again another disappearance. Someone related to Arkham City has disappeared and now the families are demanding to know where their loved ones are at. It has been pattern that has been going on for months and Alfred knew it isn't going to end anytime soon.
Since the first disappearance, Daniel has suspected Thrawn was behind this. He got more proof when he found out the people involved with Arkham City or protested against it disappeared. With Tyger guards being seen leaving the area after the kidnapping. Unfortunately, there isn't nothing the law or the Jedi can do to stop this.
Without a witness or credible proof, they can't touch Thrawn. And as long as Sharp is running things, Thrawn is untouchable. At least for now. Until they can find a way to stop Thrawn and bring him down.
Alfred looks over and sees Cassandra coming into the room with her bag. "I see your all packed up. Are you ready to go?" Alfred asked as he took notice of young Numa walking behind Casandra. "And did you help her pack?"
Cassandra nods in response as she pets Numa's head. "We finished packing and we're both ready to go. We're just waiting for father to show up."
Alfred knew ever since what happened in Arkham Asylum that Cassandra has begun to see Daniel like a father. Sure, he'll never admit it, but he saw Cassandra as his own daughter. Much like how Abigail has taken Numa like her own and the same with Numa how she feels about Abigail. Alfred is pleased that both children have taken care of both girls, but he hopes one day they will have their own child
"I'll go get him. Why don't you two make sure everything is ready before we go?" Alfred suggested knowing where Daniel is at.
The girls both nod in response and head to the garage where the vehicle they are going to use is at. Once they were gone, Alfred heads to the old grandfather clock. He opens the glass and a secret combination before the clock begins to move to the side to reveal a secret entrance. Alfred heads down the steps of the secret entrance as he enters the Batcave.
Alfred sees Daniel by the computer and appears to be working on something. He walks over and sets down a holopad, while looking at the screen.
"So, Mr. Lawton has now been processed and he'll be sent to Arkham City. That's good then that he is going to be locked up," said Alfred who is glad Deadshot has been captured but was still confused on what happened leading to his capture. "Do you believe Thrawn had hired him to try killing Ms. Amidala?"
Daniel nods in response as he begins trying to hack into Deadshot's bank accounts. "So far, it doesn't look like any payment was made. Either Thrawn has set up a secret account that Lawton will go to so he can get paid. Or he hasn't been paid yet."
Alfred knew that was a possibility. Despite their best efforts they can't seem to trace Thrawn being involved in these assassinations. The money the criminals they have caught seems to always be untraceable. It also seems they are paid with physical money and not wired transferred.
This makes it difficult to trace where the money came from, especially if it is coming from a hidden account. They had Abigail hack into Thrawn's accounts and couldn't find a single cent spent on anything except the essentials that he buys. So, he must have someone helping him pay off these criminals. But who?
"Sir, are you sure you still want to go through with this?" Alfred asked concerned about the plan the young master has set up. "We don't know if Thrawn will even sent you where he wants to put you. For all we know, he'll most likely keep you in isolation somewhere else."
"He won't," said Daniel as he stood up and walks over to a nearby table where he has some of his equipment. "Thrawn knows Sharp will do whatever it takes to force our company to obey him. Even if it means using my imprisonment to force my sister to do whatever he wants. I also know Thrawn will believe he'll be in full control once I'm inside. And once I'm in, I'll try to figure out what he's up to."
"And Cassandra? You know the child won't stand by while you are on in the inside. She'll most likely try to sneak in with you," said Alfred knowing Cassandra will want to look out for Daniel.
"That is why I am going to have her keep an eye on things from here and make sure Thrawn's men don't try anything," said Daniel knowing he has to keep Cassandra busy to avoid her coming with him. "I know Ahsoka has agreed to keep an eye on the others for me. So, they'll be safe."
Alfred is glad to know that Daniel planned for the safety of everyone, but he's still not sure about this. "Just promise me sir that if anything happens, you'll let us know. No matter what."
Daniel turns to Alfred knowing he's worried for his safety and wants to make sure he'll be okay. Daniel nods in response and finishes putting in the gadgets into the utility belt.
"Once I contact you, send the suit to my coordinates, okay?" Daniel walks over to where his suit is kept and placed the belt around the suit. "After that, get the Batwing out of the way. I don't want to risk Thrawn shooting it down into the city."
"I know sir," said Alfred knowing he'll need to program the Batwing to fly off once the job was done. "And sir, once you find out what Thrawn is up to, what will you do? We both know even if you bring the evidence before the Republic, Sharp will do all he can to clear Thrawn."
"I know and that's why I won't present it to the Republic," said Daniel knowing Sharp will do whatever it takes to protect his investment, which means he'll have to prove Sharp did something illegal too. "I'll have to bring it before the Jedi and hope they get it to the right people."
Daniel looks up to see the time and knows he needs to get going soon. "I have to go. Keep the shield around the mansion after we leave and if anything happens, you know what to do."
Alfred understood. He didn't want another repeat of what happened with Bane. "Just be careful sir and please come back in one piece."
"Always," said Daniel as he heads upstairs to meet up with Cassandra and Numa.
All while Alfred looks in the cave alone. He can only hope the young master will be okay and he'll indeed come back to them alive. For now, all he can do is wait and see what happens. And hopefully, he'll find whatever they need to shut down that horrible prison for good.
Coruscant (a few hours later)
Back in Coruscant, in a part of the city where most of the lower-class citizens live, lies Arkham City. The large prison that was built by Chancellor Sharp and his warden, Thrawn. The prison cut off half of the city where the low-class population live. This includes the Works, which was once a great manufacturing district until it was closed.
Part of CoCo town was closed off, which affected much of the hard workers who lived in the area. And in the center, lies a large tower.
The tower was built over the entrance to the Coruscant Underworld. The tower was made by Thrawn so he can overlook the prison city and keep an eye on things. It is the location where his TYGER guards are all located and where they keep their equipment. It is also a place where Thrawn takes prisoners he can use for experiments.
For the citizens who used to live and work in the area where the prison was built, they were all removed. All kicked out of their homes and relocated somewhere else. If they refused, then they would be trapped within the prison and cannot escape. So, this was a losing situation for the citizens who would become homeless if they leave, but if they stay, they would be killed by the prisoners.
However, for those that stayed did have a chance to survive if they paid off the criminal groups that took over. Whether they pay through money, their services, or in some cases use their homes to hide things.
One of these places, was once the home of an elderly man who collected many old artifacts and pictures from across the galaxy. Inside the office of the elderly man is a painting that showed Darth Revan, a former Jedi who served in the Mandalorian Wars until he fell to the Dark Side. Until he turned from the darkness and saved the Jedi from his former best friend, Malak.
The painting showed Revan carrying the body of his former best friend, Malak, after their fight. Where Revan defeated him and ended his reign as Sith Lord.
In the room, six men wearing strange clothing with one-half appearing to be the Arkham prison suits, the other half appeared burned, and some of them had masks with one half burned as well. The men appeared to be standing in front of the painting with one of them moved his hand along the side of the painting until he found a latch and opened it. Revealing a safe behind it.
"Look what I found," said the man as he goes to open it but is stopped by one of the other men.
"Don't touch it, man. He'll kill you," the other man warned as he turns to the others as they appear to be waiting for someone. "How long till the Boss gets here?"
"He'll be here," one of the men not wearing a mask replied. "Riley said he saw the Bat. Is he here too?" the man asked unaware a shadowy figure appeared behind the men before disappearing.
"In Arkham City? Why would he come here/" the first thug asked doubting the Batman would be here.
"You guys just need to chill the hell out," said the second man until they heard the glass breaking and got into a fighting pose. "It's Batman!"
They look over to see it isn't Batman, but rather a woman wearing a black skintight catsuit with a zipper that was down enough to show off her cleavage. She has a cat helmet that is accompanied with a pair of spy goggles with red lenses. A choker with a cat pendant that is attached to the mask. She also on black gloves with black claws and black high-heeled boots.
The men look on surprised to see the one breaking into the building is Selina Kyle aka Catwoman.
"Sorry to disappoint you, boys," said Selina as she walked in with her cat claws extending from her glove. "Its jut little old me."
One of the men charged at her, but she leaps over and kicks him in the face knocking him into the bookcase. One of the men throws a punch at her, but she ducks, grabs his arm, breaks it over her shoulder, and hits him with a back elbow to the side of his head. She ducks another punch from one of the men, which ends up hitting his friend knocking him out.
Selina then hits a roundhouse kick on the third man and sends him into the bookcase with the other man taking both out. The other three charge at her, but she leaps over them and took out her whip. She thrusts it as it wraps around the neck of the fourth man and then pulls down, so he falls on the ground. She then does a side handstand and kicks the fifth man in the face knocking him down.
The sixth grabs her from behind and tries to crush her. The fourth man gets up and grabs a pipe before charge at Catwoman. However, Selina brings her foot down on the sixth man causing him to loosen his grip on her. She slides down and moves out of the way as the fourth man swings the pipe hitting his friend in the side of the head knocking him out. Selina used this distraction to kick the man in the back of the head sending him to the wall and knocking him out.
This left her alone with the fifth man as he began to get up. She runs over, jumps, does a flip, and kicks him causing him to stagger. She then jumps up again and hits a high kick under his chin sending him flying through a table breaking through it. Selina lands on her feet and lets out a satisfied sigh.
"Now that they're all taken care of, its time to get what I came for out of that safe," said Selina as she turns to the safe and goes towards it as she sees how it's a combination lock.
Pretty old, but easy to crack. She presses the side of her head against the lock as she begins moving the dial around. She moves around a little bit until she heard the click noise unlocking it. She opens the safe and sees what she was looking for.
"Try and get one over on me, will you, Harv? I don't think so," said Selin as she sees inside appears to be hundreds of credits and a blaster.
However, neither one is what she is looking for. What else inside is a memory card. Exactly what she is looking for as she pulls out a device and placed the card inside. It soon begins to turn on and begins revealing what she is looking for. Unfortunately, she felt a blaster pressed against her head and she knew right there and then she got caught.
"Get your filthy paws off that, now," the unseen figure kept the blaster pressed against her head as more men appeared.
Selina sighed softly and keeps her hands up knowing there is no way out of her right now. Oh boy, this is going to be a long night she thought knowing for right now she is caught.
That's the end of the chapter and it looks like things are not going well for Catwoman huh? It also looks like things are not going well for anyone who is still stuck in Arkham City. I had to figure out where to have the prison city set up since I couldn't find a proper layout of the city. So, I have to improvise.
So, if anyone complains how this place is not in this area then don't blame me. Blame whoever didn't have a good map of the city. Anyways, it looks like Daniel is up to something. But what could it be?
Think he'll get in the city the same way in the game for Bruce? Think it will go differently? Will he have some backup? Or think he'll go in alone to try taking down Thrawn and whatever he is up to?
