Chapter Seven or rather chapter 54. I'm happy to see how the story is going and I want to thank everyone for the support. I appreciate it and I'm glad this is going well. I am looking forward to showing you all more of what I have in store for you all.
So, last time we saw how things went. We saw Batman going after Joker, while Batgirl saved the hostages. It didn't go well for Batman though and we know what is coming next. In the meantime, how will things go for Ahsoka and her allies?
Think they'll succeed in getting into the facility? Will Batgirl make it back in time to help Batman? Will Batman end up going through what happened to the Arkham Game Batman went through? Tune in today to find out.

Story III: Chapter VII
Arkham City
After Batman and Batgirl took off to go hunt down the Joker, Selina Kyle aka Catwoman went back to her apartment. It was hidden and she made sure Thrawn's men wouldn't be able to find it. She knew when they were taking over this part of the city to set up their prison, they had gathered information of every home of every resident. In hopes of finding any that belong to any criminal.
That way they can track them down and even if they wanted to pass on the information to some criminals. This was their way of keeping control and allowing the criminals to run amuck. Selina didn't know why Thrawn would want to do that. Unless perhaps he is hoping to have the criminals kill each other as a way to keep the Republic safe.
Regardless, she wasn't going to stick around to find out. She picked up a few of her toys and decided to use what she stole from Harvey to get what she needs. It turns out that the chip he had gave him the location of where the TYGER guards are keeping their security vault. This is where they have been keeping a lot of the valuables that were confiscated.
Money, jewelries, and other valuable items that Selina knows would set her for life. However, there's just one problem. The chip gave her the exact location where they are kept, but she still has no way of getting in. Certainly not through the gate where they have their turrets ready to fire and kill her on sight.
Selina could see the door and knew she needs to find a way to get to the vault. "Hmm, what will it be? Find Croc and have him rip a hole into the vault? Ask Penguin for some explosives? Not my style."
Selina knew Killer Croc would rather eat her than help her. She also knows she pissed off Penguin to the point he would likely lock her up and put her on display in his museum. She could ask old spike head for help. Maybe he'd be interested if it means getting out of the prison.
But Selina knew better than to trust a Sith to help her, especially one who would likely kill her if he knows her connection with Batman. Selina looks down and sees an abandoned flower shop and got an idea.
"Well, I always did prefer a woman's touch in these situations," Selina knew that Poison Ivy was in the prison and knew exactly where to find her.
But she needs to be careful. She knew Ivy will most likely not help her, but if what she heard is correct then she might be able to use what she knows to change her mind.
Selina made her way across the city, while avoiding being spotted by Two-Face's men and the Penguin's men. Even avoid being spotted by TYGER guards. As she made her way across the city, she took notice that the Joker's men were making their way towards the old hospital. She didn't care though since she figures they were going to steal more supplies for the sick Joker.
If what she heard is true, then he'll be dead soon. She makes it to where Ivy is at and looks over to see three armed men walking around. However, she noticed their eyes glowing green and covered in vines. So, it looks like Ivy found a way to grow some more of her plants on a planet with no plant-life and use them to take control of the minds of these men.
How lovely. Selina didn't want Ivy to know she is here, so she began making her way around the men. She quietly latches on to the rail and manages to get to the doorway without being seen. Once she got through, she begins entering the building. She quietly walks around until she took notice of the plants being grown all around her.
Oh yeah, Selina knew this must be the place. She sees giant pods being grown, which probably contains the men that Ivy has captured. She knew she kept them inside to take control over their minds. Either that or she is feeding them to her babies.
"You shouldn't have come here!" Ivy soon appeared behind some flowers as she sat on her plant throne.
"Oh c'mon. You're not seriously going to hold that against me, forever are you?" Selina asked referring to the time she forgot to care for her plants.
"You killed them all!" Ivy clearly is indeed going to keep holding that against her. "All I asked from you was to keep them safe until I got out and you left them to die!"
"Okay, that wasn't my fault. Falcone's men were trying to kill me, and I had to escape. If anything, you should go after Falcone and his people for what they did," said Selina as she tried to defend herself.
"I did," Ivy replied as one of her plants spat out a skull with some torn business clothing.
Selina felt a little sick from what she saw, but she kept her cool. "Great, see? You got your revenge and I'll tell you what? I'll buy you some more flowers. I know this planet that…"
Ivy cut her off as her vines tore the floor from under Selina causing her to fall to a second floor. Selina begins getting up slowly and realized now this isn't going to be easy.
"C'mon, Red. Can't we just…" Selina noticed the pods opening and out came a mixed of Joker, Two-Face, and Penguin's men. All under Ivy's control. "Oh, for the love of…Ivy. Really? Even after what I told you, you are still going to kill me? Come on!"
"You are going to pay for what you did, Selina. Now, kill her!" Ivy ordered.
The men soon begin charging at Selina causing her to sigh in annoyance. "Hey, Pammy, here's an idea! If you want a boyfriend or a girlfriend, how about trying the dating route? Beats this voodoo crap!"
Selina throws her Caltrope as the spikes are thrown in front of her. The men step on them causing them to yell in pain. Selina leaps over and tackles both men down on the spikes causing them to yell in pain. She then leaps over, wraps her legs around the third, and then throws him into the fourth goon.
"I heard Joker is going to kick the bucket soon and I bet poor Harley will need someone to turn to," said Selina as she sees eight more goons appearing from the pods.
"I don't care about that stupid bitch!" Ivy replied angrily. "I gave her every chance to leave the Joker and move on with her life. But she keeps choosing to go back to him. I am done trying to help her. If she wants to die with him then she'll die."
"Oh wow, I didn't know you two broke up," said Selina who was a little surprised that Ivy is no longer friends with Harley since the two seem very close.
She punches the throats of both men that charged at her and then jumped up to kick both men in the face before landing on her feet. She then took out her whip and hits three of the men in the face before one grabs her from behind. He tries crushing her, while his buddies come in charging at them. Selina stomps on his foot causing him to yell in pain.
She then took out her bola before hitting him in the face and then hitting faces of the five men. She then leaps over and throws her bola around the feet of two of the men knocking them to the ground. This left only three left as they begin to recover from the bola hit. Selina looks up at a few broken floor pieces still hanging on from above.
Selina took out her whip and grabs the pieces before pulling on them. Soon the debris begins to fall on three men and crushes them until they are taken out. Suddenly, Selina noticed green gas begin to enter the area where she is at. Oh boy, she knew what this is.
"You can't outrun nature, Selina. My spores will fill your lungs and kill you from within," said Ivy as she plans to kill Selina while she is stuck down there.
Selina, however, leaps up on to the ceiling and using her claws latches to the ceiling. She then begins making her way back to where Ivy is at and sighed in relief.
"That was close," said Selina as she turns to Ivy. "Look, Red. I just need your help. That's all."
"Never!" Ivy soon summons some vines to wrap around Selina's legs keeping her from escaping. "I will never help you, Selina. You will pay for what you did."
Selina sighed as she crossed her arms knowing she is going to have to find a way to get Ivy's help. Before she decides to kill her. Shit, maybe she should have gone with Killer Croc to get the loot. At least, he is easy to trick.
She can only hope Batman is fairing better in his quest than she is.
Meanwhile
Batman begins to slowly recover as his vision was still blurry. Soon he begins remembering what happened. He was confronting the Joker, then another Joker appeared behind him, and used knockout gas to weaken him. He then saw Harley attack him before everything went dark.
Harley stood in front of the Batman and appeared to try lifting his mask to see who it is. But stops when Joker calls on her.
"Get back here, Harley!" Joker ordered while coughing loudly.
"But I want to know who he is, sweetie," Harley pleaded wanting to find out who Batman is.
"No one's who you think they are, my dear. Why spoil, the fun?" Joker knew he could easily remove the mask, but why ruin the fun if he did that?
Batman tries to get freed, but finds he is bound to a chair with rope wrapped around him. He could through this with ease, but his body was still recovering from the drug. He uses his mask to scan the Joker and see that he is the real one. Not a fake like from earlier.
"It was all a lie. There's nothing wrong with you," Batman figured the whole Joker 'dying' thing was all an act.
"Nice of you to say, but, you of all people should know…" Joker soon appears in the light revealing his appearance. "There's plenty wrong with me."
Batman sees Joker's face looks like hell. Dry blood, some scars along his left side of his face, and he looked like he was really sick. So, it wasn't an act after all. The Joker is indeed sick, and he can figure out what it is from.
The Joker soon took out a small vial with what appears to be blood inside. "Take my blood for example. I wish somebody would. This stuff is killing me."
"From the Titan serum," said Batman figuring what happened. "If you got sick from it then why didn't it happen to the other inmates?"
"Who says it didn't?" the Joker asked while laughing and coughing at the same time. "Turns out there was a nasty little side effect from those who took a large dosage of it like I did. It became toxic in my body to the point that not even the cure you made to reverse the Titan serum didn't work. So, as a result of that…you get the idea."
Batman didn't take into account what happens to those who take a large dosage of the Titan formula. He figures that since Bane took it and he was still alive afterwards then everything would be fine. Ivy took a large dosage too, but with her knowledge of plants she must have found a way to cure herself. But it seems Joker didn't have the same kind of luck.
"Why should I care? You did this to yourself, Joker. You wanted to become a monster and it backfired on you. So now, you'll have to live with the consequences of your actions," said Batman knowing if Joker dies it will be because of himself not him.
"Oh really? Well, what if I told you that there's a teeny little bit of me in you too, Bats," said Joker as he begins to give a raspy laugh while showing his blood bag with the tube going into Batman's arm. "Don't tell me it's not what you always wanted."
Batman should have known that Joker would do something like this. In order to stay alive, he would force Batman to find the cure for them. Otherwise they both will die. Batman now understands why Joker lured him here to do this.
"Look, we're running out of time. I need your help. I nearly had a cure, it was so close and then it was taken from me," said Joker who sounds desperate not to die.
Batman though didn't seem worried or concerned about dying. He's just glad Cassandra isn't here. If she was captured and she got infected with Joker's poison blood, then he would do whatever took to save her. But if it's just him that will die with Joker, then he will live with it.
Joker however, seem to have counted on that as he begins to form that crazed smile of his. "Are you? Imagine sucking down that last breath, knowing that every citizen in Coruscant is doing the same."
"What are you talking about?" Batman didn't like where this is going.
"Oh, didn't I say?" Joker faked pretending to be surprised as he sat on Batman's lap explaining what he did. "I've spent weeks shipping samples of my blood to emergency rooms all across the city."
Batman should have known that the Joker's plan would be more sinister. He must have known that Batman wouldn't care if they both died together. But, if he puts the whole planet at risk then Batman would have no choice but to help the people. Meaning, he doesn't have any choice in the matter now.
"I was told you were working with Thrawn. I doubt this is Protocol Ten," said Batman knowing Thrawn wouldn't risk getting the people sick like this. "What do you know about what he is planning?"
"Planning? Protocol Ten?" the Joker fakes a gasp and then turns to Batman. "Never heard of it and I don't know what he is planning. But do me a favor…hold tight."
The Joker then pushes the chair backwards through the window behind Batman. "I'll be in touch!" Joker shouted before Batman falls to the ground and shatters the chair.
Batman survived the fall but groaned a little in pain. He begins to recover as he hears an old carnival music being played on his chest. He looks down to see a communicator taped on him. Batman pulls it off and activates it as he sees Joker appear in hologram form.
"I'm listening," said Batman.
"Is someone feeling a little down?" Joker mocked Batman while coughing and laughing with a raspy tone.
"Where is the cure? Who has it?" Batman asked knowing he needs to find the cure as soon as possible.
"I had our cold-hearted friend Mister Freeze making it. But he's gone dark on me," Joker explained.
"I'll find him," Batman should have known that Joker had Freeze work on the cure since he and Ivy are the only ones who could probably make a cure.
"I bet you…" Batman cuts off Joker as he turns off the communicator and took out a small device from it allowing him to listen in on whatever Joker is saying.
Once he finished, he begins contacting Alfred to let him know what is going on. "Alfred, Joker's poisoned me. He may have poisoned the people of Coruscant. Mister Freeze has the only cure."
"What are you waiting for then? He's in Arkham City. Find him!" Alfred was worried that something like this would happen and hopes Daniel will be able to find the cure. "Where's Cassandra? Is she?"
"She's safe. I had her escort Wildcat and Doctor Baker back to the church while I went to confront Joker," said Batman who is relieved to know his daughter didn't get sick. "As far as finding Freeze, if only it was that simple. He'll be somewhere cold. He needs to be kept at sub-zero temperature to survive. Not a lot of places in the city where he could do that."
"I assume you have a way to track him down though?" Alfred asked figuring Daniel has a way to track Freeze down.
"I've calibrated the cowl to track heat signatures. I'll find the coldest point in the city. Even if Freeze is hiding somewhere to hide the cold, I'll find him," said Batman before he tells Alfred what to do next. "Contact the others and tell them what is going on. Have Oracle see if she can track down any new shipment of blood to all medical facilities, including local doctors. I'll send Batgirl to assist with the search."
"No," Batman looks up and sees Batgirl from a nearby rooftop and lands near Batman clearly hearing everything. "If you are sick you will need my help."
"I'll be fine. I need you to go help the others and track down the Joker's blood," said Batman who didn't want to put Cassandra at risk.
"I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying whether you like it or not," said Batgirl who isn't going to abandon her father while he needs help.
Batman knew he couldn't force his daughter to leave, but he also knows her staying will be too dangerous. However, with the amount of Joker's poison blood now inside of him there's a good chance it will start to take its toll on his body. And if that happens, he won't be able to find the cure.
"Fine. Let's go find, Freeze," Batman and Batgirl soon took off to try finding Mister Freeze.
Meanwhile
Obi-Wan Kenobi is seen with Master Windu and Shaak Ti going over everything that they have been told about what happened. Earlier, they were informed that Daniel Wayne was arrested on charges that the Council suspects were fake. They knew that the Wayne family would never do anything like this, much less one of the two siblings. The Council suspects there is more going on, but unfortunately, they haven't been able to find out much.
They know that Thrawn is planning something, but they can't figure out what it is. But they suspect it has something to do with Daniel Wayne being locked up. They know that Sharp will now try to gain control over the Wayne company. Even if in their view he tries framing the siblings.
"Master Kenobi, we'll need you to go keep an eye on Ms. Abigail Wayne. If Sharp is planning something, then I suspect he will make his move to try having Ms. Wayne arrested," Master Windu explained. "Meanwhile, the Council will begin working out options on how to remove the chancellor from office."
"Are we sure we want to do that?" Obi-Wan asked knowing how risky this is. "If we go down this path then Sharp will retaliate. Remember, the public may hate Sharp, but we have not regained their full support since the Clone Wars."
Master Shaak Ti nods in agreement. "We need to be cautious of our decision and be careful what we do. If we are not careful then it will take us down a path we will never come back from."
"A decision that will change the Jedi Order," said Obi-Wan who didn't want to take that risk. "I suggest we wait until Sharp makes his move. Once he does then we will be able to arrest him."
"We'll still need the support of the Senate before we do this. How likely do you think that Ms. Amidala will be able to convince these senators to help us?" Master Windu asked Master Kenobi.
"I'm sure they will once we present them the evidence we need. However, my concern is that Sharp will do all he can to avoid losing power. Even if it means using his TYGER guards against us," Obi-Wan knows these guards have been trained to help combat against the Jedi and even kill them.
Master Shaak Ti was concerned about a fight breaking out and resulting in many more lives being lost. "Then I suggest we recruit some of the former Clone soldiers to assist us. Assuming they are willing to help us out."
"I will speak with Ms. Wayne. I heard she has given some of the Clones new employment for her security force," said Obi-Wan recalling what Ahsoka had told him before. "I'm also sure Ahsoka wouldn't mind helping us."
Master Windu nods in agreement and turns to Master Shaak Ti. "Please inform the Council we will begin having a meeting soon and let us hope we won't have to resort to taking the power from Sharp."
Master Shaak Ti nods in agreement before she takes off. Once she is gone, Master Windu and Kenobi begin heading to the hanger room.
"I assume Ahsoka has again refused to return to the Jedi Order?" Master Windu asked as he gets a silence response from Obi-Wan. "I see. I assume she is the one who is going to train Ms. Amidala's children?"
Obi-Wan didn't say anything, but he didn't have to. "Would it be so wrong if she did?"
"There are no laws against it, no. However, I do find it troubling that you are fine with her training Skywalker's children, especially since you have sensed it," said Master Windu referring to how strong the Force is with the twins. "You know that Ahsoka never became a Jedi Knight and she still has much to learn. She cannot hope to properly teach the twins properly to master their abilities."
"While it is true, she never became a Knight," which was the fault of the Council since Obi-Wan was one of the only two who didn't vote to expel her out. "It doesn't mean she hasn't stopped learning. Ahsoka has come far since she left, and she has become quite knowledgeable of the Force."
"I assume you've been teaching her?" Master Windu asked.
Obi-Wan shook his head in response. "I sense she learned through what she experienced during her time away from the Order. I know Ahsoka may not be a Jedi anymore, but it doesn't mean she can't train the children. And if the Council has a problem with it, I can offer to teach the children myself. Without removing them from their mother."
"Attachment is against the Jedi Code, Obi-Wan. You know that," said Master Windu.
Obi-Wan wasn't so sure about that. "Well, I guess we'll see what happens then. But I am putting my trust in Ahsoka and we should too," he then looks out into the city towards the prison. "Just like we need to put our trust in Batman."
Mace Windu wasn't sure if they should put their trust in Batman, since this time it feels different. "And what if the Batman fails? Don't forget, it isn't just the Joker, Cobblepot, Bane, or Two-Face that he has to deal with. It's all the major criminals that were locked up during the war."
Obi-Wan knows who Master Windu is referring to and sighed. "Well, let us hope they remembered to put the Force restraints on him then to make sure he doesn't try breaking out."
Arkham City
Batman and Batgirl made their way through the city towards the old abandoned hospital. It was set up by Daniel's father to help those who don't have medial insurance and can't afford medicine. It went over well with the public and the chancellor at the time before Palpatine and Valorum, approved funding for the facility. Even during the war, the facility was still operational.
Even without the support of Palpatine at the time, Daniel and his sister made sure to keep the company going. Luckily, Padme and Mon Mothma resumed funding the facility. But once Arkham City was set up, the hospital was abandoned. Criminals began raiding the facility and have been using it
For Daniel, this made him, and his sister upset. They both hated what has become to this hospital their father worked so hard to make. Not just for the people, but for their children. They can only hope when this is over, they'll be able to restore it to its rightful glory.
"Why do you think Mister Freeze is here?" Batgirl asked as they got close by to the building.
"Most likely to use the forensic lab. My father had set it up to help the local law enforcement with any investigations," Batman even knew some of the federal law enforcement would come here since the tech that is used is better than the one the Republic use. "Let's get inside and find Freeze before…"
Batman then stopped when he hears some noises. The two lied down and got close enough to hear what sounds like some men arguing about something.
"What's taking so long?" one of the men asked.
"The door, it's shut tight!" another man replied.
Batman and Batgirl look over to see a small group of men all different species arguing about a door. Some are humans, a few Zabrak, Rodian, and a Trandoshan. It appears they are trying to get inside the hospital. But the building is sealed up tight.
"You two keep trying to get in," said the Trandoshan who appears to be in charge. "I'll rip their faces off if they try to get out."
"I still can't believe we let Penguin's guys get inside. If the boss finds out Cobblepot is involved and we let him in here he's going to kill us," said one of the Rodian criminals who looks worried.
"Then help us get the door opened before that happens," said one of the Zabrak criminals as the men try to get it opened.
Batman and Batgirl pull back as they assess the situation. "So, Penguin's men are inside. They most likely have Freeze in there."
Batman knew this won't be a problem, but he didn't want to waste too much time on these criminals.
"Oracle, we're at the Memorial Hospital. See if you can find a way inside," said Batman as he explains the situation.
"I'm not it and Daniel, Alfred told me what happened. Are you okay? Do you feel sick?" Oracle asked, while worried for her brother's safety.
"I'm fine. I don't feel anything yet, but with the amount of blood that Joker put in me that might change soon," said Daniel knowing that Joker's poison blood running through him will begin affecting him soon.
"Understood," said Oracle as she begins working fast and hard until finally, she found what she was looking for. "There's another doorway in the back. It looks like it got blown off and the surrounding area is filled with water. But the door there is intact."
Batman understood and turned to Batgirl. "Make your way inside and find Freeze. I'll handle these guys and make my way inside once I am done."
Batgirl understood and took off to get inside the building through where her aunt told her. Like she said, the back area was covered in water. It looks like a large explosion erupted back here and water filled the area up. Luckily, she managed to find the door and finds it unlocked.
So, she goes inside and right away she felt the temperature dropping to near sub-zero. She sees she is indeed in the right path. She makes her way around the building and heads to where it got colder. She figures if her father is right then Freeze is held up in the forensic lab.
As she continued making her way down she hears someone talking and quickly hides.
"The Joker's crew are still outside, Mr. Cobblepot," spoke a man wearing a winter jacket with a penguin symbol on the back of the jacket.
"Good. Make sure it stays that way," said the Penguin as he spoke through the communicator the man has.
"No problem," said the criminal as he begins contacting the others. "All right listen up! The boss wants this place held tight. No one in or out. You see one of Joker's crew, waste 'em!"
"What about Batman? I heard he's here with that little bitch of his," said one of the criminals responding through the communicator.
"Kill the Batman, but the boss says to try keeping the little one alive. I heard she might be worth a lot of money," said the leader of the group.
One he finished communicating with the others, Batgirl using her cable, drops down to wrap her legs around his neck. The man struggled to get freed, but Batgirl kept a tight grip on his neck and made sure he couldn't call for help. But also made sure not to kill him. Once he was completely out, she let's go.
She drops down and took his communicator before she uses it to now hack into Penguin's communication. So now, she can hear everything the Penguin will say to his crew. Suddenly she hears Penguin calling for his crew that someone got taken out and to check it out. Batgirl scanned the man she knocked out to find he has a device on his chest to monitor his heart.
"He must be tracking their heartbeat. If any get knocked out or killed, he'll know about it," Batgirl grabbed her wire and climbs up to the wall before going into the vents. "I'll need to move quickly and take them out."
Luckily, she knew how to do it. She uses the vent to make her way down to the forensic lab where she finds at least five of Penguin's men. All together told what happened to their buddy. Three ran out of the room to check it out, while the two are left alone. Batgirl makes her way into the room quietly and soon glides over to the two men.
She gets behind them and grabs them both from behind before bashing their heads together. This staggers them, but enough for her to leap up to kick them in the heads knocking them out. Once they are taken out, she flies up to the wall and uses her cloaking device to turn invisible. She sees the three men return after being alerted that their buddies are down.
Batgirl throws some smoke bombs causing the room to be filled up with smoke. The men begin to panic as they look around for her. Batgirl glides down and fires a stun ray at one of the men taking him out. This caused the two men to panic and opened fire randomly.
Batgirl glides over again and drives both her feet into the face of one of the men. Knocking him through a glass railing and taking him out. The final thug soon began to surrender as he throws his blaster down and the smoke begins to clear. Batgirl soon appeared behind him turns him around, and drives her foot into his throat pinning him against the wall.
"Where's Mister Freeze?" Batgirl asked changing her voice to sound intimidating.
"He's in the museum! Penguin's got him!" the man replied, while trying not to choke.
"I'll have to cut that tongue out of your head, boy. I don't like people tellin' tales on me," said Penguin who heard everything through the communicator.
"No! I'm sorry, Mr. Cobblepot. She made me tell her," said the man scared that his boss will kill him.
"Scared of a little girl? How pathetic. You can 'ave him, Batgirl. I'm safe and sound here in my museum. Tell your boss you both can try to get me if you like," said Penguin who didn't seem worried about this. "I've got plenty of surprises ready for you both if you do. Starting right now."
Batgirl soon hears and feels a loud explosion erupting from outside. Batgirl got worried and begins running away to check on her father. Hoping he will be okay. If he is then she'll have to work on getting him the cure soon before he along with those infected with Joker's blood are killed.
Looks like Batman is now on the clock. He has to find the cure before its too late. Think he'll succeed with Batgirl helping him? Will they be able to find Mr. Freeze in time?
Will we end up seeing them go through the same thing Batman went through? Fighting the Penguin and a giant shark he has? Will Selina find a way to get out of the mess she is in? Or think she'll get out of it by talking her way out of the predicament she is in?
