Chapter eighteen or rather chapter 65 is here and hope everyone is ready! Also, glad I was able to get this out much faster than I had thought it was going to take me. Getting back more in the groove of things. So, I'll be hoping to get more out back in the way I did before in two weeks…maybe.

Now then, last time we saw Batman meet with Azrael and what he had to tell the cape crusader. We also saw Robin understanding why Batgirl is showing kindness to people like Mr. Freeze. I wanted to show everyone that people like Freeze aren't real bad guys. They're people who were dealt a bad hand and had little options of what they could do.
That they need help to get better. They need a helping hand to put them on the right path. It won't be easy, and it will be difficult. But it will be worth it if they can get the help, they need to be good.
How will things go for our heroes though? Will Batman make it in time to help save his kids? Will he make it in time to stop Harley from getting the cure? And what else does the Joker have in store for everyone?

Story III: Chapter XVIII
Coruscant
Padme Amidala and Bail Organa are seen together after they had been told by Abigail what happened. How they uncovered that Chancellor Quincy Sharp. Only the two of them were told about this. Mostly because Abby trusts them with the secret and so they can try figuring out a way to use this to help them retake control of the senate from those close to Sharp.
With the information Ahsoka got for them and with Abigail now able to hack into the chancellor's personal files, she got all the info they need. To use against the most corrupted officials, who they knew once word goes around the chancellor is in trouble, they'll try to try control. Even position themselves in power.
Something they knew they couldn't allow. They needed to regain the trust of the citizens once this is over. Otherwise, the systems will split apart again. And likely lead to another Separatist government, which would in turn likely lead to another long war.
The two spoke near the bedroom, where the twins are sleeping. Padme wanted to be close by with her kids, while they discuss what to do.
"Once we remove Sharp from office and use this information to put away his most loyal followers, we'll need a new chancellor," said Bail as he goes over the files from the holopad that Abigail gave them. "One who the people will trust, someone who isn't corrupted, and who can lead."
Padme knew where this is going and shook her head. "I'm sorry, Bail, but no. I know you and the others feel I should lead again, but I can't, especially since I'm focused on raising my children."
"I understand, Padme. Believe me, I do," said Bail who knows how risky it is for Padme to be chancellor again, especially the first time when the twins were almost born. "However, it will only be temporary. I know you insist I be in charge, but you're someone the public has more trust in and has more support."
"And also, someone who has a lot more to lose if our enemies come after me or the kids," said Padme as she lets out a small, frustrated sigh, before putting her hands together as she tries to take a breather.
Padme knew being chancellor was a difficult job the first time, especially after Anakin passed away and the twins were born. She knew throughout her time she was targeted by every criminal in the galaxy. Even those with power, money, and control. So much so that she knew Daniel was out trying to keep her safe from harm. Almost dying a few times.
She also knew Luke and Leia almost got kidnapped several times. Thankfully she had Ahsoka to watch over them and kept them safe from harm. But she made a promise to herself that once she stepped down, that would be it. She would leave this old life behind her and focus on raising her children.
Despite that though? She kept on getting pulled back in. To be an advisor and speak out against Sharp's actions. And now?
She's at risk of getting pulled back in completely.
Bail knew this too and didn't want to put them in any danger. He knew he was a good choice to be chancellor, but he had some doubts.
"Padme, you know if given any other circumstances that I'd take the job. That I'd do it to keep you and your family safe, especially for what you've done for me and my family," Bail knew thanks to Padme, he and his wife were able to adopt a daughter.
A child that they both always wanted but couldn't have on their own. Padme helped them and they owe her for all she did.
"I just…I'm not sure if I can gain the full trust of the people like you've done. To them, they see you as their white knight who fights for the rights of the people. Someone who will speak for them in the chambers and speak out against the powerful. And with what Sharp's done, if I take control, I'm not sure if they'll completely trust me," said Bail who knew gaining the trust from the people, won't be easy, and will likely not work.
Padme understood Bail's concerns. Mostly because she had those exact same concerns too. "Bail, I took control of the Republic after Palpatine's death. A man who we all thought was a good man. Someone who the people looked up to, trusted, and loved. And who we all had to praise good things for despite knowing his dark secret."
Something that Padme hated keeping from the people. She knew why they had to keep his secret of being the Sith Lord, being behind the Clone Wars, and what he planned to do when he took over. She hated all of it, especially when she had to tell people what a good man he was. She wanted the people to know the truth and hope they'll be able to handle it.
But she knew better. She knew if the truth ever got out, it would only lead to more problems than solutions.
"I hated keeping this a secret and I was worried I was going to mess things up," Padme then stops and look over to see her kids sleeping in the bed and smiles softly. "But it was thanks to Anakin, Abigail, Daniel, Ahsoka, Lux, you, Mothma, and all our friends that helped me get through those years as chancellor. Help me make the right decisions, restore peace in the galaxy, and help the people."
Padme moves her hands over and grasps Bail's before she continues. "I know you're worried, but you won't be alone in all of this. You can do this. You can help lead us through the coming storm. And together, we'll make it out in one piece."
Bail knew Padme really has a way with words. She knew exactly what to say and how to win people over, which is one of her best qualities. He knew though she's right. If he does accept, he won't be doing this alone.
Like with Padme, they all worked together to help her. To guide her through as chancellor and help restore order. It took time, especially when Mothma took over, but in time it paid off. And thanks to Padme, the people began putting their trust in people in power.
"All right. I'll do it," said Bail as he accepts taking over as chancellor. "We'll need to first make sure that we round up all associated with Sharp and Thrawn. At least those we can connect to their crimes. The next thing we'll need to do is find a way to break the news to the public. We can lie and force Sharp to resign, but not sure if he'll go for it without making a deal."
"Which is doubtful that he'll know anything. Thrawn wouldn't have told him anything useful, much less anything that will trace back to him," said Padme knowing Thrawn isn't going to trust Sharp with anything. "Sharp was just a pawn to whatever Thrawn is up to. We also need to find out what Protocol 10 is."
Bail's expression turned to one of confusion when he hears what Padme said. "Protocol 10? What about Protocol 10?"
Padme turns to Bail confused with what he said. Making it sound like he knows what it is. "Bail, what do you know about Protocol 10?"
Arkham City
Meanwhile, back in the prison city, Robin and Batgirl are seen looking through the security monitors. Watching through the cameras outside the building what's going on.
Harley Quinn showed up. She showed up with an army of armed insane criminals. All opening fire at the facility they're hiding out in and are trying to break in. The two heroes knew this isn't good.
They knew Harley came for the cure. The cure that will help save her insane boyfriend, the Joker. The Joker must have found out they have the cure and has send his girlfriend to get it. By any means necessary.
They knew Harley is determined to get the cure for the Joker and save him. So, she's bringing out the heavy artillery so she can get in to steal the cure. They could just give her the cure, so she can leave. But they knew she'll just try to kill them anyways and make sure to destroy the cure they have for Batman.
So, they'll have to hold out and wait till Batman gets here. Hopefully soon.
"The force shield is at 60% power and dropping fast," said Robin as he sees how much energy is left for the shields. "Those cannons she brought are taking a pounding out of our shields."
"At this rate, they'll break in about ten minutes," said Batgirl knowing even if the shields give out, they have the ray shields blocking the door. But she knows that won't hold out for long. "Unless they break through the walls, in which case, we'll have only five minutes."
Mr. Freeze walks over and begins using his ice gun to begin freezing along the front part of the building. Creating a thick layer of ice to shield them should the enemy break through.
"This will buy us some more time," said Mr. Freeze as he puts his weapon away and begins walking back to his computer. "Enough time to safely secure Nora in the lower levels. There she'll have her own power to keep the cryo-tube operational and keep the clown's girlfriend from getting to her."
"Good," said Batgirl who knows without Nora in danger, Freeze won't have to worry about her getting hurt. "In the meantime, we'll need to come up with a plan to try taking down these criminals. At least, hold them off till Batman arrives."
Robin tried to contact Batman to see where he's at, but found his communication is being jammed. Batgirl noticed this too. It seems Harley is trying to keep them from contacting Batman. And to keep them from calling for backup.
"Looks like we're on our own for now," said Robin who knew what they'll need to do. "We'll need to head outside. Take the fight to them and hopefully take down as much of them down before Batman gets here."
Batgirl knew that was a risky plan, but it was better than fighting in here. The building was already getting damaged from the attacks. If they end up fighting in here, they run the risk of the building coming down on them. And even risk the cure getting destroyed too.
So, they'll need to take the fight to them and take it outside.
"Okay, so here's the plan. Robin and I will head outside to try cutting down their numbers," Batgirl is hoping that they'll have the element of surprise on their side. "In the meantime, you should stay here and keep the cure safe. If the enemy gets in, freeze them, but don't kill them."
"Agreed," said Mr. Freeze knowing if they wait here, then the enemy will eventually break in. "Staying in here till the enemy arrives lowers our chances of survival. However, attacking them from behind will help reduce their numbers and increase our survival chances to 55%."
"Still a low number," said Robin who didn't like how it wasn't much higher than he had hope. "It'll have to do until Batman arrives. Freeze, the enemy doesn't know about the back entrance, right?"
"Affirmative," Freeze begins showing a hologram of the building, before showing the back entrance. "I made it so its impossible for the enemy to get through. I destroyed much of the ground to create a sort of pit and filled it with ice spikes and made it so even a grappling hook can't connect to the ice. Along with some hidden turrets to open fire should the enemy try flying in. The clown and his girlfriend have no clue about this, but even if they did, I doubt they can get through it."
Robin was impressed with what Freeze did. He thought of all the possibilities of the enemy trying to get in here, including Batman. Even if they did find a way through this, the door was made of Phrik. A metallic compound that's nearly indestructible
"I'll deactivate the backdoor, so you two can get through and go outside," Mr. Freeze begins showing an area where the two masked heroes can get around to attack the enemy.
Batgirl analyzes the map and knows this plan by Freeze should work. As long as they can get the drop on the enemy.
"Freeze, do you have anymore cryo-grenades that we can use? We can use them to help us cut the enemy's numbers down," said Batgirl knowing both her and her brother are low on certain equipment.
"I have something better," said Mr. Freeze as he walks over to his worktable and begins putting together some items, before presenting them to the two heroes. "A miniature Freeze rays. Not as powerful as my own, but they will help freeze your enemies and leave them immobile. Just be careful with them, they're not toys."
Robin and Batgirl begin analyzing the weapons. They were the size of an E-11 Blaster Rifle, but also does look like a miniature version of Freeze's weapon. They know this will come in handy all right, especially to help cut down the number of bad guys they must deal with. They just need to be careful with it, since they know how a bigger size ice gun works, so a smaller one is just as dangerous.

Both heroes put the weapon away, before they gave a small nod to Freeze. Thanking him for the weapon, before suddenly feeling the building shake. Freeze looks through the computer screen and knew the enemy is breaking through the walls. Giving them little time now.
"Hurry. There's no time to lose," said Mr. Freeze as he begins putting the cures away in a safe, before preparing for battle.
Robin knew even with the two of them and their new weapons, it won't be enough. It was then he turned towards the Bat-Bot that Batgirl had used and knew that will come in handy.
"Batgirl, I'll need you to distract the enemy with the Bat-Bot, while I attack from above," said Robin as he explains his plan to Batgirl.
Batgirl is thankful that they still have the mech-suit still with them. She had deactivated it since they didn't need it for anymore fighting. Now though? Is a good chance to use it.
She'll need it against the criminals that she sees outside. Harley really brought some heavy hitters to try breaking in here. While hoping to use them to try killing them. So, she'll need this to help keep Robin from getting killed.
Batgirl knew it's risky letting Robin go off without someone watching his back, but she knew she can get a lot more eyes on her than on him. Giving him the cover, he needs, while he takes out the goons quietly.
"I'll take on the heavy opponents, while you take care of the small fries," said Batgirl as she heads towards the Bat-Bot. "Hopefully we can take them down before they turn the tide against us."
"Then let's make this quick," Robin figures if they can get the jump on the enemy, then they'll get the early advantage.
"All right. Just be careful, okay? I don't want to tell Batman I let you go off on your own without watching your back," the last thing Batgirl wants is to get a lecture from Batman.
"You're not the only one who doesn't want that. Now, let's get to work," said Robin as he rushes off to the back of the building.
Both knew that Batman will likely get upset with them for not waiting till he gets there to fight with them. But they knew they don't have time to wait. They'll take the lecture, over waiting for their deaths. They just hope that Batman will arrive in time to assist them before the fight ends up turning against them.
All the while Batgirl begins activating the Bat-Bot as its eyes begin to glow. Activating for combat.
Meanwhile
"Hurry up you stupid morons! Mr. J wants what the ice man is cooking in there and he wants it now!" shouted Harley Quinn as she reminds her goons what's at stake here.
With her, stood over 100 Joker goons. Half are veterans who've been with the Joker since he started his criminal career. The rest are new guys who all joined the Joker after the Batman took down their bosses Two-Face and the Penguin. So, they went looking for protection as other criminals tried to take over their bosses' old territories.
With them also stood Killer Croc, who was still recovering from the beating he got from Batgirl and her robotic suit.
With him is Garfield Lynns aka Firefly, who has been given his suit, but is unable to fly out of here thanks to the device that Thrawn had implanted inside. Keeping him from escaping the prison city, which he didn't seem to mind since he got to burn his victims in the prison.
They were also joined by Copperhead, who was looking for some bit of payback against the Batman and his little sidekicks, especially the one who cut off her right arm. Leaving her with a mechanical arm, which has been equipped with her venom.
With the last being Nanaue aka King Shark. Ruler of an underwater world and the son of a shark god. His species are related to the Karkarodon, who are a shark-like amphibious aquatic species. Only King Shark's people are considered more powerful. He was brought in to justice by the Batman after he attempted to kill the king of Mon Cala.
"We're almost through, ma'am," said one of the Joker goons as they begin breaking through the wall, only to find an ice wall blocking their path. "Or not."
Harley sees this and sighs in annoyance. "Of course, the stupid snowman would do this," she then turns towards Firefly. "Hey! Pyro! Get your ass over here and melt through this ice."
Firefly flies over and prepares to activate his flamethrower, when they heard something crashing from the roof. Followed by the sound of some of the Joker's goons hitting the ground but are still alive and tied up. Looking up, the criminals all see something flying towards them. A large robot, who looked a lot like Batman.
Killer Croc instantly recognized it and knew this isn't good. "Fuck! It's that little bitch and her stupid robot toy!"
"Well? What the fuck are you idiots waiting for?" Harley shouted as she points at the robot with her gun. "Fucking shoot her!"
The criminals all begin opening fire at the suit as they try to take it down. However, their blasters bounced off the machine as it begins charging at them. Knocking many of them away with its mechanical hands, without trying to kill them. It even fired stun rays at some of the bad guys and took them down.
Killer Croc and Killer Shark soon charged into attack, but the Bat-Bot managed to block their attacks. Thrusting its hands forward and keeps the enemy back. But both begin trying to use their claws to try tearing through the arms off. But the Bat-Bot instead activates an electrical attack, which electrocutes both enemies, causing them to be send flying towards some of the criminals.
Firefly flies up and begins using his flamethrower, trying to take down the Bat-Bot, but it seems his attack wasn't doing much damage. So, he tries resorting to using a plasma attack, which did in fact manage to harm the suit. The Bat-Bot managed to dodge the attack to keep it from critically damaging it, but the heat from the plasma beam did manage to pierce through the armor.
Firefly goes to attack with his weapon again, but the Bat-Bot throws down some smoke pellets. Covering it in a thick layer of smoke. As Firefly fires his attack again, the Bat-Bot somehow disappeared. Firefly looks around for the enemy but couldn't see it.
Meanwhile, some of the criminals on the nearby rooftop all had their weapons locked on the building. While keeping an eye out to make sure the Batman didn't try getting through them. Unaware though that Robin was sneaking up on the criminals. He begins quietly taking down the criminals.
One by one as he tries cutting down their number. He managed to take down the last of the criminals on the rooftop, before seeing Batgirl is in trouble. He prepares to go help her out when his suit detected danger. He managed to avoid a blaster shot, which grazed his right arm.
Robin took cover as another fire was shot. Nearly hitting him as he tries to get cover behind a concrete wall. However, the blaster shots were piercing through the concrete. This caused the boy wonder to try avoiding the attacks, but each shot got closer and closer to hitting him.
"Nowhere to run, boy," Robin recognized the voice and knew who it is. "It's only a matter of time before you and your little friend all go out."
"Deadshot," Robin muttered knowing it was the Mandalorian who always hits his mark. "Surprise you're here working for the Joker. Slow business?"
"On the contrary," said Deadshot as he appeared from his hideout with his custom rifle blaster. "Business has been booming, especially with all my targets in one place. Just taking a little break though since I haven't been able to find the rich boy himself. But once I kill you and the snowman, I'll be on my way. But first…"
Deadshot begins using his helmet to detect where the Bat-Bot is hiding. It was using some sort of cloaking device, but Deadshot could see it with his helmet.
"Firefly," Deadshot begins contacting Firefly through his com-link. "The mech is ten meters to your left."
Firefly nods before firing his plasma weapon, hitting the side of the Batbot. Damaging the suit and knocking it to the ground. Its cloaking device is soon deactivated, as Batgirl works to get the suit back to its feet. But it would take time, which she doesn't have as Firefly approached her.
Robin saw this and knew he has to save his sister. He leaps out from his hideout and goes to throw a Batarang, but Copperhead appeared and pins the boy down. Using her mechanical arm to pin the boy and keep him from moving. While her free hand moves close to his face, ready to poison him.
"Easy there, snake," said Deadshot as he aims his weapon at the boy. "He's mine."
But before he could pull the trigger, a Batarang slices through his weapon. Deadshot turns around and Batman is seen flying in, kicking him directly in the face. Sending him flying off the roof towards a garbage container.
Batman then throws a Batarang at Copperhead, but she ducks. "Ha! Misssss, Batman," said Copperhead, mocking the Batman.
"I wasn't aiming it at you," said Batman as the Batarang is soon revealed to be a remote control one.
It flies towards its intended target, Firefly. Firefly prepared to kill Batgirl, but the remote controlled Batarang flies over and hits Firefly's jetpack. The Batarang explodes and sends the pyro criminal flying towards the wall and gets knocked out. Buying Batgirl time to have the Bat-Bot recover, just as Killer Croc and King Shark began recovering too.
Copperhead moves her claws close to Robin's face, warning Batman to back off. "Come any closer and your little sidekick dies."
But before she has a chance to attack, Robin grabs her hand and with his free hand pressed a button on his belt. This sends an electric shock through the snake criminal, causing her to scream. Batman rushed over and knees her right in the face. Copperhead falls backwards but managed to recover and kick Batman away before she tries to attack him.
Robin though pulls out the ice gun that Mr. Freeze gave him and fires it. Freezing the snake criminal completely. He knew though it wouldn't be for long. But it was enough until this fight with Thrawn is over.
Batman helps Robin up and checks him to see if he's okay. Robin took notice of this and motions for his father to Batgirl, fighting the criminals. The two didn't need to say anything to know what they need to do. So, they begin charging in towards the fight, as the Joker's goons begin opening fire.
Trying to kill the two masked heroes, but Batman and Robin managed to avoid the attacks. Dodging them and rushing in to take down the criminals. Father and son working together as they take the criminals down. Tearing through them as they rush towards Batgirl.
Killer Croc and King Shark now have the advantage thanks to the damage that Firefly caused. Batgirl, inside the Bat-Bot knew this isn't good. So, she came up with an idea. She managed to kick Killer Croc away and sees King Shark charging at her.
The Bat-Bot flies up just in time as King Shark leaps over. But instead of biting at the Bat-Bot, King Shark took a bite on Killer Croc. Killer Croc lets out a loud painful roar, before elbowing King Shark in the face. He then leaps over and bites down on the shark on the shoulder, causing the other to let out a painful roar.
King Shark knocks Killer Croc off of him and the two soon begin duking it out. This allowed Bat-Bot to fly in and drop a knockout gas. Knocking both criminals out, before she ties them up. In the same unbreakable cable that Batman had used on the criminals during his fights with them.
Batgirl then leaps out of the Bat-Bot and took out her ice gun. Firing it at some of the criminals, charging in at her. She then rushes over towards Batman and Robin. Both of whom managed to take down more than half of the criminals.
Soon, Batgirl joins up with her father and brother, before they all stood tall. Ready to fight against the criminals.
The remaining of Joker's goons all stood back with a look of fear. Most of their heavy hitters just got taken out and now they're the only ones left. They soon begin taking off. Running away in fear as they drive back towards their hideout.
Once they were gone, Batman turns towards his kids and is glad to see they're both okay. "You two should have waited inside. That was too risky for you two to do."
"Would have been riskier fighting them inside and risk the whole building coming down on us," said Robin who defends their decision, even if they know their father would be against it. "You shouldn't have run off chasing down some criminal who hired Maul."
"He wasn't a criminal. He was…a messenger," Batman replied.
Both Batgirl and Robin looked on confused by what their father meant. A messenger?
"Well, what did he say?" Batgirl asked wondering what this man wanted.
Before Batman could tell them what he was told, his suit alerts him of danger from behind. Batman tackles his children down, just as a blaster shot missed hitting them. Soon, more shots are fired as the three heroes look to take cover. It looks like it's Deadshot again and he seems pissed.
Probably because he once again missed his targets.
"You and your little brats made me miss, Batman! I'm not going to let you make me miss again!" Deadshot shouted as he was covered in garbage after falling into the garbage container earlier.
Batman knew they need to take down Deadshot, before he ends up getting a lucky shot at them. However, his attention turns towards the wall and sees a hole in the ice.
It was then, he remembered Harley Quinn was here moments ago, looking for the cure. Near the hole, is the unconscious Firefly, but his weapon is missing.
"Robin, Batgirl, Quinn is in the building. You two go stop her and help Freeze," said Batman as he turns to where the shots have been fired. "I'll take care of Lloyd."
"Gotcha," said Robin as they wait for Batman to make his move, before they can charge in.
Batman saw an opening when Deadshot ran out of rounds. He leaps out and begins charging at the enemy. This allowed Robin and Batgirl to go rushing into the building. Looking to stop Harley, before she can get away with the cure.
Deadshot managed to reload and opens fire at Batman, but the dark knight managed to avoid the attacks. He knew he has to get in close to finish him off, but Deadshot won't make it easy. He continued firing at the Batman and was getting close to hitting him. He knew his pattern and where he's going to strike.
Deadshot prepared to save the last round he has to hit Batman square in the head and kill him. However, he was so caught up in what he was going to do, that Deadshot didn't see what's in Batman's hand. Batman leaps up and Deadshot prepared to fire, but saw Batman drop something. The item was a flash bomb, which blinded the marksman.
This allowed Batman to fly in and grab Deadshot in the head. Before dropping him on the ground, headfirst. Knocking out the assassin. Batman begins pulling out some cable and wraps it around the criminal, to keep him from escaping.
Batman soon rushes inside the building to see if Robin and Batgirl stopped Harley Quinn. When he got inside, he took notice of burned markings along the wall. Indicating they came from Firefly's plasma weapon. As he got closer to where the lab is, he found more plasma markings.
Once he made it in, he sees the room is a mess. Debris everywhere, the lab destroyed, and he sees his children kneeling by Mr. Freeze, who looks injured.
Batman rushes over as Batgirl is seen placing a cloth along the missing limb of Freeze. While Robin is working to help fix his suit, which appears to be damaged.
"B-Bat-man," Freeze tried to speak up as he coughed loudly. "T-he clow-n's girl-friend. S-he had Fir-efl-y's weapon. It c-au-ght me by surp-rise."
"Shh it's okay. Just rest," said Batgirl as she sees Freeze's suit took heavy damage.
From his missing right arm to his suit malfunctioning. Harley left Freeze badly hurt and if Robin can't fix his suit, then he'll likely die.
Robin managed to get some of the suit working to keep him stable, but he knew there was a problem. "His suit only has enough power left to keep him at sub-zero temperature for another 30 minutes. And most of his equipment to fix it is gone."
Batgirl knew they also had to inform Batman of the other problem. "Batman, the cure…Harley took it."
Batman looks over to the safe, where Freeze had placed the cures in. It was open and inside, he found a Joker card. It was from Harley all right. And it seems she left this behind to mock them.
Batman knew though his focus right now is saving Freeze. He begins contacting Alfred and have him bring the Batwing over. Hopefully he can get it into the prison city to safely get Freeze out of here and take him to Lucius Fox at Wayne Enterprise. He can't send him to his sister, especially with what she's doing, so Lucius is the only other person he knows to help save him.
"I'm sending a ride to come pick you up, Freeze. I have someone that should be able to save you," Batman took notice that Nora isn't around, but figures Freeze has her somewhere safe. "I can even have it so they can take Nora with you and get her out of the prison."
Freeze didn't want to risk moving Nora right now, but he knew he didn't want to leave her here. In case Thrawn finds her and tries using her against him, like how the Joker used him.
"Y-Yes. T-ha-nk you, Bat-man," said Mr. Freeze as he struggles to get up.
Batman begins activating the Bat-Bot to enter the building and help Freeze. Get him and Nora in the Batwing, before getting them to safety. In the meantime, he knows where he needs to go. Or rather, where he and his kids need to go.
"In the meantime, let's go," said Batman towards his kids. "We're going to get the cure, stop the Joker, and then stop Thrawn."
Both Robin and Batgirl nod. They know now is the time to finish this fight. They have to stop the Joker before he can get better and tries to escape the prison. Before they can go after Thrawn and stop him from completing whatever it is he's up to.
"Batman, care you hear me?" Oracle began contacting Batman through his com-link.
"I'm here, Oracle. What is it?" Batman asked wondering what his sister needed.
"I just got a notification that the Bat-Bot got damaged. Are you and the kids okay?" Oracle asked hoping everyone is safe.
"Some minor injuries, but we're fine. But Harley has the cures. We're on our way to get them. And then, we'll go after Thrawn," said Batman as he explained what happened.
"Good, because I just found out what he's up to. I know what Protocol 10 is," said Oracle as she found out what Thrawn is up to, thanks to Bail Organa.
Batman seems surprised by this but is thankful to hear that his sister found out. "What is it?"
Oracle hesitated for a moment. As if she's still shocked with what Bail told her and couldn't believe Thrawn is going to go through with this. "Daniel, it's a contingency plan to exterminate the prison's populace in a mass genocide. That's his plan."
That's the end of the chapter and it looks like Batman made it in time to save his kids. Who managed to hold their own against the criminals for a while. At least, before they got the upper hand against them. Also, yeah, I brought in Killer Shark along with some other criminals from the past.
I had planned something else with Deadshot, but I decided nah this way is fine. His side mission wasn't that long, so decided to include him here. Also, no Mad Hatter. I decided his side mission was pointless and not needed at all.
Still, Harley now has both cures. Will Batman and the others stop the Joker? Will they stop Thrawn now that they know what he's up to? Or will Thrawn succeed in his plans?
