Chapter nineteen or rather chapter 66 is here and hope everyone is ready! Sorry for taking a while to get this up. I ended up having to take this program for work, which will give me better opportunities than before. So, trying to get that done and hope it all turned out well.

Still, thank you all for the support on the story. I appreciate it and glad I was able to get this out. We're getting near the end of the story, which is getting close to the end of the Arkham City game. Will it all go the same way as the game?

Also, last time we saw Batman, Robin, and Batgirl managed to stop the Joker's goons from killing them. However, Harley Quinn now has the cure. Will Batman and the others stop her from giving the Joker the cure? Or will things go badly for our heroes?

Tune in today to find out and time for the disclaimer. I don't own anything from the DC or Star Wars universe just my OCs. Also: Bold- means thoughts & Italic- will mean what an alien is saying in their native language. Now let's continue with the story and enjoy the chapter!

Story III: Chapter XIX

Arkham City

Batman, Robin, and Batgirl head towards the Joker's lair, after Harley Quinn had stolen the cure. Thankfully, before they left, Mr. Freeze gave them some more cryo-tools. To help them in their efforts against the Joker. A task Batman knew won't be easy.

After what happened last time, Batman knew the Joker would have his lair be reinforced. To ensure that the Batman and his allies won't be able to break in like before. Batman though knew they'll find another way inside. Luckily for them, Batgirl found a way for them to sneak in, but it won't be easy.

Once they arrived, they found the whole area was filled with armed Joker thugs. Snipers on the rooftop and the rest of the forces on the ground. Not to mention the new communication jammer. Preventing the Batman and his allies to be able to communicate with one another or even their allies outside of the prison city.

Batman knew that sneaking around without being seen won't be possible, especially with the number of snipers around. In order to get through this place, they'll need to take out the snipers first.

"Here's the plan. Batgirl, you take the snipers from the left, Robin the right, and I'll take the center," said Batman knowing the center will have the most snipers to deal with, and he wanted to have his kids deal with the least amount.

"Just be careful, father," said Robin who knew his dad's condition will worsen if he isn't careful.

Batgirl nods in agreement. "We won't be able to communicate with one another until we've reached the rendezvous point," said Batgirl as she shows the group where they need to go through the hologram map. "We'll need to also destroy the jammer in order to get in touch with Oracle."

"I'll take care of it," said Batman as he sees where the jammer is at through his visor. "Remember, stay in the shadow, use your surroundings to stay hidden, and don't get killed."

Robin and Bagirl both nod in response before they begin to make their move. Batman took a deep breath and looks over towards his destination. He soon activates his cloaking device and makes his way over to the snipers. With all three heroes taking great caution not to be seen by the snipers or the thugs down below.

Robin heads towards the first snipers. He knew on his side there's at least six snipers. The same amount as Batgirl. While with his father, he'll need to deal with ten of them. It won't be easy since the snipers are close to one another and if they take out one, the other might notice.

Robin quietly makes his way towards the tower where two of the snipers are at. He quietly climbs up and waits near the ledge. Waiting for one of the snipers to come over, while the other takes his attention off of his partner. Robin kept his breathing quiet and made sure the other wouldn't hear him.

Once he saw the sniper is close, Robin leaps up and wraps his legs around the criminal's neck. He then throws his body backwards and the criminal flies off the tower. Robin held them though with the cable he has and begins choking out the criminal, as quietly as possible. Robin could tell the other sniper didn't notice his partner is missing, which is what he wanted.

The criminal in Robin's legs' struggled. Despite Robin's smaller body, he was still able to use them being off the ground to help him choke out his enemy. Soon enough, the man's body begins going limp and begins passing out. Once Robin saw he was out, he began wrapping a cable around him, before slowly lowering him down to the ground.

Robin knew he needed to hurry with this, so he leaps up to the ledge and sees the criminal still doesn't see what happened. So, he rushes over, jumps up, hits the man in the back of his head with his knee, and sends hm flying off the tower. Robin wraps a cable around him, which caused the man to hit the side of the tower, before passing out. Two down, four more to go for Robin.

Meanwhile, Batgirl sees three of the snipers on a metal catwalk. All three with their weapons in hand and all three keeping a sharp eye for any trouble. Batgirl knew she can't take one out, without the other seeing it. So, she'll need to approach this different.

She knew if she can take out all three, then it will work more efficiently. She begins looking over the tools she has and found what she can use.

She makes her way under the catwalk and begins grabbing the side of the metal to help her move under it. She stops under one of the criminals and moves her body up. Until she can have her hands and feet holding on to the edge of under the catwalk. Before she placed a device in the spot where the criminal is standing.

She begins quietly moving around again, before she reaches the next criminal, and puts the next device. She does the same with the third one, when her right foot accidentally slipped off the side. This caused the criminals to move their weapons over and look nervous. Batgirl knew she needed to move her foot back, but when she did and puts it against the side, it slipped again.

She mentally cursed as the criminals go over to the side to see what made the noise. Batgirl knew if they figure out she's under the catwalk, their weapons could shoot through the metal and hit her. Just as it seems the criminals are going to figure out where she's at, until a rat ran by and caught the attention of the men.

They all sighed in relief figuring it was just a rat and went back to their position. Once this happened, Batgirl mentally thanked the rat, before she turns to the men. She leaps down to the ground under the catwalk, before she pulls out the device, and then pressed the button. This caused the devices to release a powerful electrical shock through the three men.

All three men didn't have a chance to scream before they passed out. Batgirl looks up to see this worked and smiled softly. Three down for her, three more to go. She begins taking off to try taking out the last three men and then head off to meet with the others.

Meanwhile, Batman heads to take down the ten snipers he's up against. Four in one tower, four in another, and two in the last one. All four snipers in both towers in each corner of the tower. Making sure they stand guard and are ready for the Batman and his allies.

They even have on goggles to allow them to see inferred. So, if the Batman tries to come at them invisible, it will not go well. However, Batman didn't need to use his cloaking device to take them down. He just needed it to get close to the tower before he attacked.

He leaps up so the four snipers can see hm. Batman though threw four Batarangs at them. Hitting their weapons, which sends an electrical shock that stunned them. Allowing Batman to glide down and take down the first criminal, before grabbing him and throws the criminal into the other two, knocking them out. Batman then rushed at the fourth criminal, with his gloves sparking with electricity, grabs him by his mouth before electrocuting him.

Not enough to kill him, but to knock him out and he did it quietly without allowing the man to scream. Once he got taken out, he turns towards the next criminals and glides over to take them out.

Batgirl and Robin took another few minutes, but they managed to take down the snipers. They soon head towards the area, where Batgirl showed them to go towards. They saw it was guarded by more armed goons, but they managed to take them out quietly. They secured the area, where they can sneak into the factory.

Batgirl explained that the back entrance here leads inside the factory. The area would lead them through boiling water and a lot of heavy machinery. Due to this, they can't climb along the walls and the steam will make it impossible to keep themselves hidden when they go invisible.

"The cryo-grenades that Victor gave us should be allow us to use it on the water. Freezing it and using it to help us get through the water till we get through to the platforms," said Batgirl knowing they can use the ice equipment they have to help them.

"Let's just hope we can make it through without falling in the boiling water," said Robin who didn't want to risk falling into the boiling water. "I love a good hot bath, but not when it boils my skin off."

"Don't worry," said Batgirl who wasn't going to risk them getting burned from the water. "Once father gets here, we'll make our way through carefully. Hopefully before Harley can get away with the cure."

Speaking of their father, Robin looked around wondering where he's at. The two managed to take down the thugs but didn't notice one who managed to avoid getting seen. He took out his rifle and prepared to fire who Batman appeared behind him. The man knew this and turned to shoot Batman, but the muzzle gets grabbed and bend.

Batman then punches the criminal in the face, knocking off the railing and falls through a crate box. Robin and Batgirl noticed this, but knew the criminal is knocked out. While their father lands nearby. Both knew they should have checked the area better before lowering their guard the way they did.

However, it seems Batman didn't bother scolding them and focused on the task at hand. "Is this the place?"

Batgirl nods in response as she explains the area. "This will lead us directly to the smelting chamber. Once we get in through there, we'll be able to make our way to where the Joker is hiding out."

"Assuming his girlfriend didn't get him the cure yet," said Robin who hopes they aren't too late.

"Let's go in then," Batman leads his team inside the room, where they find three of the Joker's men, but they were looking away from them.

The three heroes rushed in and took down the three men. Knocking them out and tying them up before they turn their attention to the boiling water before them. Robin begins scanning the water and could see Batgirl wasn't wrong. The water was boiling to the point his suit wouldn't protect him from this kind of heat.

"Do you really think Freeze's tech will help us?" Robin asked as he looks down at the cryo-grenade they were given.

"Only one way to find out," said Batman as he tosses his in the water.

The grenade detonates and creates a floating ice for them to travel through the hot water. It was flat and big enough for the three of them to fit on. The good thing for them is, they can use their grappling gun to grab hold of the chains along the walls. Allowing them to navigate through the boiling water.

As they made their way through the area, they could hear through their com-link, Thrawn announcing Protocol 10 will begin, in one hour. They knew they didn't have a lot of time left. They have to hurry and stop Joker, before they can stop Thrawn from going through…with his plan. A plan they started this journey on not knowing, but only found out what it was thanks to Oracle.

How Protocol 10 is a fail-safe worse case security measure. One that would be initiated if the criminals within the prison city would get out of control, that they would acquire illegal weapons, and would begin trying to break out of prison. If that were to happen, then Thrawn has full permission to exterminate the residence of Arkham City. By any means necessary.

This was Thrawn's plan. To give the criminals the weapons, cause all this chaos within the prison city, even claim that the criminals poisoned the citizens with the Joker's blood, and how they're planning to escape. To destroy Coruscant and kill its citizens. These were lies, but it was backed with falsified documents that Thrawn claimed he discovered, and the chancellor had known about it.

But did nothing about it and prevented Thrawn from doing all he can to properly secure the prison.

Batman knew Thrawn has a way with words and it likely that's what he used to convince the chancellor's council to go through with his plan. That and he likely blackmailed most of the members to get a unanimous vote.

"I still don't get why Thrawn is doing all of this," said Batgirl who couldn't understand the logic in Thrawn's plan. "How is murdering all these criminals, including innocent people he put away going to help the Republic?

"Because Thrawn has convinced the public the criminals in this city are a threat. Not just to the Republic, but to the galaxy," Robin remembers reading the propaganda that Thrawn's supporters and even the chancellor had posted everywhere.

How these criminals have no hope of being rehabilitated. How they're all deranged animals that need to be put down. That they won't hesitate to kill every single last person they see. And how the galaxy will be better off without them.

Robin sighed softly as he moves his right hand over his mouth. "He believes doing this will benefit the Republic greatly, and the sad part about this, is that there's many people who believe this. Like me. I believed there's no hope for a lot of these people and need to be put down. And that doing this will save the galaxy."

Batgirl knew that Robin wasn't wrong. A large percentage of the galaxy believe these criminals need to be put down. They're afraid of these criminals and believe the galaxy will be better off without them. And she knows if Thrawn goes through with this, he'll get away with it.

"But we can't let him go through with this," said Robin as he moves his hand away from his mouth and turns to his father. "We can't allow him to lie to the people, manipulate their fears, and execute these criminals. Even if many of them deserve it, it doesn't give us or Thrawn the right to put them down like animals."

Batman knows his son is right. He kept silent because he wanted to see if the lessons, he's taught his son and the lessons the others have taught him have gotten through to him. To help him see they can't let these criminals be killed off. They have to try saving them and stop Thrawn from going through with his plan.

A plan that he knows will take the lives of the innocent people he's kidnapped and locked up. A plan he knows won't stop with Arkham City. But it will spread across the galaxy. Allowing more people to be executed, even those of petty crimes.

He knows the moment they go down this path, it won't end with them killing dangerous criminals. It will end up with them executing criminals who didn't commit dangerous or even high crimes. Batman knows this and knows they can't allow Thrawn to win. If he does, then the galaxy will lose in the end.

"We'll stop, Thrawn. We'll stop him from going through with his plan and save everyone," said Batman who knows they can't fail in this mission. "I know not everyone in the galaxy will be happy with this, but I know there will be those who will be happy we stopped this genocide. Many of these criminals may seem beyond saving, but it doesn't mean we can't try. Much like Freeze, many of the criminals in here deserve a chance to be saved."

They soon arrive towards a nearby window, where they used their cowls to look inside. This will lead them to the smelting chamber, where they'll be able to sneak in. However, their attention turned towards the number of bodies on the ground. All dead bodies.

They crash through the window and begin checking the bodies. It looks like they were all killed by blaster shots, but no sign of whoever shot them.

"Couldn't have been Harley, right? Why would she kill her own men?" Robin asked as he inspects the body wondering who could have done this.

"She is crazy. So, maybe she did it for shits and giggles," said Batgirl who knew Harley would kill a goon or two, but always within reason. "Although, killing seven thugs tells me maybe they said something that pissed her off?"

"Enough to have them killed off? I doubt it," said Batman who knew the criminals who work for the Joker aren't stupid enough to say anything to piss her off this badly. "I don't think Harley did this."

"But then, who?" Robin asked before the large screen behind them activated, revealing the Joker. "Oh no. Look."

The trio indeed did look and see the Joker looks better. Much healthier than he did before, which means only one thing, Harley got him the cure.

"Good evening, troops," the Joker on the screen began to speak to his followers. "This is General J with a quick update on what's going on down here in Arkham City. As you can see, I'm looking much better. In fact…"

The Joker moves a mirror up to see for himself how good he looks. "I think I'm looking better than ever. Oh, I can hear you all now: How did this happen? Can I get me some of that crazy cure? I want answers damn it! Now!"

Batman watched on silently at this, while Batgirl and Robin both look on visibly angry. The Joker got the cure after all, which means he destroyed the second one to prevent their father from getting it.

"Well, here's the thing. Answers don't give you everlasting satisfaction. Sometimes you need to brace yourself for disappointment. Think about it," said the Joker as he kept on speaking to his followers. "Imagine your favorite show. You've been through it all. The ups, the downs, the crazy coincidence, and then: Bang! They tell you what it's all about."

Suddenly, Batman heard the sound of someone coughing. The others probably didn't hear it, but Batman noticed, and he recognized it.

"Would you be happy? Does it make sense? How come it all ended in a church?" the Joker asked as he kept on talking. "You guys need to know one simple thing. I'm back. Back for good."

"Now arm yourselves, kiddies. We've got a prison break to plan. No hostages. No surrender. Oh, I know. It sounds like a suicide, but listen…" the Joker leans in to the camera and moves his right hand over his left side of his face as if he's trying to keep this a secret. "Whatever happens, I'll be right behind you."

Soon the transmission ended, and the Joker was gone. Batgirl and Robin both remained silent, until Robin kicks over a container in anger.

"I can't believe it! That clown got the cure and now he's going to try breaking out of the prison," said Robin who knew they should have kept the cure close with them during the fighting.

"I should have stayed behind or have you stayed behind. At least one of us would have made sure the Joker's girlfriend didn't get the cure," said Batgirl who blamed herself for not thinking this plan through.

Robin turns to his father, noticing how quiet he's been. "Father, why aren't you angry by this? The Joker took the cure and probably destroyed the other one. We have to get you out of here and get the cure that Oracle has. So, you can come back and we can stop him."

Batman remained silent for a moment, before he walks over towards the door. "He doesn't have the cure and that wasn't the Joker."

Batgirl and Robin looked at each other confused with what their father said. Both wondering if the poison circulating through his body made him forget what the Joker looks and sounds like.

"Father, that was the Joker. The way he spoke, the way he moved, the way he looks, his whole-body language, its him," said Batgirl knowing there's no way this was someone else dressed as the Joker.

"She's right," said Robin who agrees with his sister. "It was him. There's no way it could have been anyone else."

Batman turns to his kids and begins pressing something on his wrist gauntlet to play back what the Joker said earlier. But stops right at the cough. He then removes the Joker speaking and focuses on the cough. Even higher the volume so the kids can hear it.

Batman then shows a hologram of his confrontation with the Joker. Allowing them to hear him speak, but he made sure they paid close attention to his coughing. How his coughing is similar to the one they just heard. The two realize it's the same cough, but also knew the Joker they saw wasn't coughing at all, and yet they heard him cough.

"Oracle also explained to me that despite the victims taking the cure, they didn't show signs of improvement for another hour or so. That includes their facial appearances. Meaning, even if the Joker got the cure, there's no way he would look like he's back at 100%. Much less would be moving around on his own," not in the condition the Batman saw him in to be moving around the way he did.

"But if that wasn't the Joker then…then how?" Robin asked wondering how this was possible.

"Maybe it's some sort of droid?" Batgirl knew there was a mission her father encountered where the Joker had a bunch of droids who could holo-project themselves to take on any form. Of any person they saw. "Maybe he passed on how he acts, speaks, and what he would say. It's happened before."

"But Batwoman and Nightwing destroyed those bots. No way he could have gotten another one…right?" Robin asked his father.

"I don't know. But I do know one thing," Batman turns to the door and kicks it open. "The Joker doesn't have the cure yet. So, let's go find Harley, get it, stop the Joker, and stop Thrawn."

Robin and Batgirl both gave a small confident smile before they nod in response. They soon follow their father and stop Harley before she can give the cure to the Joker.

Meanwhile

After being captured by Pamala Isley aka Poison Ivy decided to keep Selina Kyle aka Catwoman locked up. Keeping her captured until she can decide what to do with her. Selina is at least grateful that Ivy didn't try making her into one of her mind-controlled victims. But she did wish she didn't have her kept surrounded by her gross slimy plant creatures.

"Seriously, Ivy? How long are you planning on keeping me in here?" Selina called out to Ivy, while the vines kept her wrapped up. "I wouldn't mind being locked with your plants, but mind keeping me with the ones that don't smell like a Bantha?"

When Selina didn't hear the other reply back, she decided to try something else. "Do you want me to apologize? Fine. I'll apologize. I'm sorry for what happened to your flowers, but it wasn't entirely my fault."

Now that part was true. Selina explained how she went to water her flowers, when she got attacked by the TYGER Guards. They came after her and she had to escape. But during her escape, the guards ended up destroying the flowers.

"I'm really sorry for what happened, but I promise to make it up to you. I'll even buy you some more flowers," said Selina as she tries to make up to the plant lady to get her help.

"You can't get more of those flowers, Selina. That flower that was destroyed was very rare and one of the few left in existence," Ivy explained as she spoke to Selina while appearing to be coming from all around the room. "I was hoping to make more of them, but I fell ill thanks to the Titan Formula. Now, there's only one left and Thrawn has it sealed in his vault."

Selina's eyes sparkled knowing she found the leverage she needed to get out of this. "Well, what a coincidence. I'm looking to get some stuff from Thrawn's vault. I think we can make a little deal. If you let me go and help me break in where the vault is kept, I'll bring you the flower back."

"And why should I trust you, Selina?" Ivy asked as her vines tighten their grip around her prisoner. "Why don't I just kill you now and get my plant myself?"

Selina struggled to breath, while trying to convince Ivy to help her. "Because if you could do that, then you would have done it by now, right?" she feels the vines loosening up as she got her answer.

Selina knows Ivy is a lot of things, but a thief is not one of them. Being sneaky and breaking into vaults quietly is also not one of those things either that Ivy can do. Selina on the other hand can do all of that. Sneak in, steal things, and break into any vault.

There's no vault that Selina can't break in and can't steal from. And Ivy knows this.

Ivy soon appears from the shadows as she approached Selina. She moves one of her vines close to Selina's face, looking like she's going to kill her.

"I should kill you, but…" Ivy sighed softly and frees Selina. "Fine. But if you try double-crossing me or if anything happens to the plant, I will kill you."

Selina begins wiping away the pollen from her suit as she smiles towards Ivy. "Relax. You'll be reunited with your little plant soon enough. And then we'll both leave this place behind."

"I suggest you hurry then," said Ivy as she goes to her plants and begins moving her hands along them. "Before Thrawn can go through with his plan."

Selina stops for a moment, before she turns towards Ivy. "I presume you know what this Protocol 10 is then?"

Ivy turns towards Selina, who she isn't surprised to hear she doesn't know what it is. "It's our end, Selina. Thrawn plans to wipe us all out. Every single criminal within this prison city, including the innocent ones he locked up, will all be killed. Its genocide."

Selina knew that Thrawn was crazy, but she didn't think he'd go all out like this. That he would try committing genocide and try wiping them all out.

She wonders if she should tell Batman about this. Nah. Chances are he already knows about it. And he'll try to stop Thrawn.

Still, she can't take the chance that Thrawn will go through with his plan before Batman can stop him.

"I better get going then before all hell breaks loose," said Selina as she begins to make her leave, before she turns towards Ivy. "By the way, are you planning to go rescue your girlfriend? Before, you know, the bombing begins?"

Ivy knew who Selina means and she simply scoffed as she walks away. "She chose who she wants to be with. I've given up trying to save her from her own stupid mistakes. If she dies with the stupid abusive clown, then she dies with the stupid abusive clown. I'm done."

Selina is a little surprised with what Ivy said. But then again, she has tried to save Harley so many times. Trying to keep her from going back to Joker, to finally have a normal life, and be sane again. But each time, she always went back to him.

Selina knows Ivy loves Harley, but she always chose the Joker, over her.

"Well, from what I heard, the clown won't live long enough for the bombs to go off. If you and Harley survive this, then there might be hope for you two," said Selina before she took off and heads out of the building.

All while Ivy looks back at where Selina left before turning to her flowers. Where they begin parting ways and show a desk. A desk that has picture frames of herself and Harley. One showing Harley when she became a doctor for Arkham Prison years ago and Ivy became one of her first patients.

To showing pictures of the two together robbing a bank, killing some corporate polluters, and even one on a date. Ivy couldn't help but smile when she saw these pictures before the memory of their last encounter occurred.

It was after Ivy arrived to Arkham City and she had found a cure to save herself from the Titan poison. Once she was all better, Harley showed up. The two talked for a while, caught up, and seemed happy to see one another, until Harley revealed why she came. How she wanted Ivy to save the Joker.

To give him the same cure that she used to save herself.

She begged her friend for her help, proclaiming her love for Joker, and how she wanted to save him. Ivy blew up at Harley in anger at how she could ask her to save that monster. Considering how much he has abused Harley for years, for how he treated her so poorly, and almost got her killed hundreds of times. To the point that Ivy was there to save her so many times from death.

The two went back and forth about this, until Harley called Ivy a selfish bitch who doesn't understand anything about love. This caused Ivy to lose it and tell her to leave. That she'll never save the Joker and if Harley or the Joker's goons showed up, she'll kill them. Harley tearfully left, while Ivy cried.

She cried all alone in her lair, knowing that there was no hope for Harley. She chose the clown over her. She didn't even come by to see her when she got here or even wanted to see if she was okay. So only came by after she cured herself.

For Ivy, that was it. She was done trying to save Harley. She wasn't going to risk her neck to save her from Thrawn or the Joker before he kicks the bucket. She doesn't care what Selina thinks or cares after seeing these pictures.

She won't do it again. She won't open her heart to Harley again. Even if deep down, she really wants to. Even if deep down, she knows she can't let her die.

She won't do it…she won't…

Coruscant

Ahsoka stood on the rooftop of the building the senators are holding out at with Abigail and her clones. It's a safe place, but Ahsoka knows it won't be for much longer. She could feel through the Force that Thrawn and his soldiers will make their move soon. They will attack and try to take them down.

Ahsoka knows Abigail is ready. She has the building ready for an attack, but she has to make sure she does her part to keep Padme and the kids safe. She won't let any harm come to them. She made Anakin a promise that she'll keep them safe, no matter what.

And she's not looking to let him down again.

She breaks out of her thoughts when she saw Lux arriving, out of his Nightwing suit so the other senators don't see him.

"How's everything downstairs?" Ahsoka asked as she leans back against the railing.

"Tense," Lux replied as he walks over to stand by Ahsoka and leans down against the railing. "The senators are worried that Thrawn will come after them, especially when they found out what he did to the chancellor.

Ahsoka knew that Padme had informed the other senators that the chancellor had been sent to Arkham City. That Thrawn had betrayed him and send him to the very prison he created. While some believed the chancellor deserved this, for the rest, they became worried. Worried that if Thrawn could do this to the chancellor, then he'll likely try to do the same to them.

"Abigail managed to calm them all down and reassured them that they're safe here," but Lux knew if Thrawn comes after them with everything he has, then he'll likely break through their defenses. "Batman needs to hurry up and stop him, before it's too late."

Ahsoka nods in agreement. She knows that Daniel needs to hurry before Thrawn can move forward with his plans, especially after they found out what Protocol 10 is.

"The best we can do right now, is hold off the enemy," said Ahsoka knowing that's their job right now. "We have to protect the senators, Padme, the children, and Abigail. Thankfully Rex and the other Clones are on our side."

"True, but these soldiers aren't like the Clones. They're dangerous," said Lux knowing that these soldiers were trained to fight against those like Batman and his allies. "If we're going to win, we'll need something they won't see coming."

"Trust me, Lux. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve that they've never seen before," said Ahsoka with a lot of confidence. "We're not going to let Thrawn and those who follow him win. We've been through too much to allow anyone to take us down. We will win. And we will stop Thrawn before he can go through with his plan.

Lux couldn't help but smile a little as he turns to Ahsoka. "Even when things look so bleak, you always find ways to keep hope alive."

Ahsoka knew there were two people who inspired her to never give up, no matter how bad things get.

"I have Daniel and Anakin to thank for that. Despite everything Daniel has gone through, he never gave in to the darkness. He always tried to find a way to overcome any obstacle, did his best to keep us moving forward, no matter how bad things got, he never gives up, and helps keep us from ever giving up. And Anakin…he was the same."

Ahsoka knew Anakin always tried to overcome any obstacle that got in their way and did his best to help save everyone. Even if it means he would risk his life, he'd do it to help everyone. She knew he was also there if anyone was troubled. If they began having doubts, he would be there to help keep, and never give up.

"I know things look bad, but this isn't the first time we've been in a situation like this. We'll find a way to overcome the odds again and save the day," said Ahsoka who knows they'll find a way to beat Thrawn and save everyone.

Lux knows Ahsoka is right. Even with how bad things look right now, he knows they'll find a way to save the day. It won't be easy. And knows they won't come out of this without a scratch.

"You know, it is a shame you gave up being a Jedi. I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up becoming a Jedi Master and help lead the new generation," said Lux who knew Ahsoka would have probably be a great Jedi Master and inspire the younger Jedi.

Ahsoka was tempted to go back, especially with some of the changes made in the rules. She knew with everything she's gone through; she could end up becoming a Jedi Knight and Master in a short time.

"Believe me, I really want to, especially with who I know will watch Daniel's back and I know with the rules now bend to allow those who are married or have kids to still remain a Jedi, but…" Ahsoka knew she also wants to have a family of her own and be with Lux, which will be difficult to do if she goes back.

Lux grasps her hand and knows Ahsoka doesn't want to spend too much time away from her family. To not be there to raise their children, to watch them grow, and have families of their own. But he knows if she has a chance to make a chance and help the future, then she should take it. And he's sure that Ahsoka will still make time for her family.

"Ahsoka, I know what you're worried about, but you and I both know we have skills that we can use to help the galaxy. Skills that can not only help the people, but also inspire the next generation to take over," said Lux as it was now his turn to help his wife. "Ahsoka, if you ever do decide to go back, I know you'll be able to do more to help people and help make more changes in the Jedi Order. I know you can do this, Ahsoka. And know that we will always support you, no matter what."

Ahsoka couldn't help but chuckle softly at how now Lux is the one comforting her, after she comforted him a minute ago. "I know you will and thank you, Lux. I'm really lucky to have you and the others in my life."

"I feel the same way too. If it wasn't for you, I don't know how things would have turned out and I wouldn't have met the others," Lux knew after his mother's death, he wanted revenge against Count Dooku, but thanks to Ahsoka and the others, he gave it up. "I love you."

"I love you too," said Ahsoka as the two soon begin embrace for a kiss.

Both know whatever happens tonight, they knew they'll be together in the end, and continue to help the people. Whether as masked vigilantes, as a senator, or a Jedi.

The two soon break the kiss, before they received a message from Abigail. "Ahsoka, Lux, you guys there?"

"We're here, Abby," Ahsoka replied through their communicator. "Is everything okay?"

"Not really. Daniel just called me and told me Harley stole the cure. They're going after her and plan to stop her before they go after Thrawn," Abigail explained.

Ahsoka and Lux knew this isn't good. If Harley gets the cure to the Joker, they'll make sure Batman won't get the cure. They'll destroy it and watch Batman die. Something they know they can't allow to happen.

"I hope they'll get to her before she gets to the Joker," said Lux who's hoping Batman will get the cure. "Is there anything else we should know?"

"Unfortunately, there is," just as Abigail said this, Ahsoka and Lux look up to see something heading their way. "It looks like Thrawn has decided to make his move."

Ahsoka and Lux look out to see what looks like TYGER Gunships that are heading their way. Around a hundred of them as they appear to be preparing to attack.

"You two better get ready," said Abigail as she activated the building's shield to protect the entire building.

Ahsoka grabs her lightsabers and activates them, while Lux goes to get suited up. Both know this is going to be a long night. One they'll have to survive and keep everyone in the building safe. All the while they hope Batman and the others will be able to stop Thrawn, before it's too late.

That's the end of the chapter and while I'm happy with the current series with Harley together with Ivy. I'm still sadden we never saw them together during the Arkham games. I think the third game could have had them together. It would have been a good move there.

Also, yeah while I was watching the scene with the Joker speaking to his men, I did hear the coughing that sounds like the Joker. The cough that surprisingly Batman didn't notice at all, but I'm sure the gamers would notice. Although, we already knew the twist early on.

Still, how will things go for our heroes, especially Ahsoka and the others against Thrawn's soldiers? Will they be able to stop him from going through with his plan? Will Batman and the others get the cure from the Joker? Will Selina end up escaping with her treasure if she can get in the vault or will something cause her to stay?
