Chapter twenty-one or rather chapter 68 is here and hope everyone is ready! I'm glad I got this out a little faster than last time. I'm trying to get this done as soon as possible. So, I can get done one less story to deal with and get the others I haven't finished yet.

Still, thank you to all who enjoyed the last chapter and have been enjoying the story. I can't wait till we get to the end. Yeah, if you've played the game, you know how it will go. But with the stuff I've been adding, things will likely go differently for the story.

Now, last time we saw the Batman and his kids going after the Joker. Having a lengthy battle against them, before they got pinned down. Talia came in to make the save, but left Batman trapped in order to keep her end of the deal with the Joker. Thankfully though, Selina aka Catwoman appears to be on her way to save Batman.

How will things go for our caped crusader? Will they be able to stop Protocol 10? Will they be able to stop Thrawn? And will Batman make it in time to save Talia?

Tune in today to find out and time for the disclaimer. I don't own anything from the DC or Star Wars universe just my OCs. Also: Bold- means thoughts & Italic- will mean what an alien is saying in their native language. Now let's continue with the story and enjoy the chapter!

Story III: Chapter XXI

Coruscant

"INCOMING!" One of the Clones shouted as a missile is shot towards the apartment building, owned by the Wayne children.

The shield protecting the building managed to withstand the blast, but it was fading. With each attack from the enemy TYGER Guards, the weaker the shield becomes.

Thrawn had send his soldiers after Abigail and the inhabitants within the building. He was making his move now and wanted to eliminate anyone who stood in his way. This includes the senators inside, who he saw have betrayed the Republic, and have nothing of value to offer. So, he ordered his soldiers to eliminate everyone inside.

Abigail had sent the senators to the lower levels of the building. To a safe room that she had made to keep them safe during an attack. Much like what's happening right now. Padme and Bail managed to get the senators to safety, before getting themselves, and the children inside. Abigail decided to stay and monitor the fight.

Even communicate information to the others to ensure they know what's happening. With Tatsu or rather now in her Katana outfit staying by her side. While Ahsoka leads the Clones and Lux goes out in his Nightwing costume. Ready to assist them.

"Shield is at 40% and dropping fast," said Abigail as she tries to reroute power to the shields to keep them on, but she knew it was no use. "Thrawn's boys are packing a lot more firepower than I initially thought."

"And it's only getting worse," said Ahsoka as she stood on the ground level with a battalion of Clones behind her. "We can see the shield is weakening enough to allow some of Thrawn's TYGER Guards to slip through. It looks like they're getting ready to blow their way inside."

"Well, we're not going to let them in here," said Abigail who knew she'll need to resort to using the turrets the building is equipped with to protect them. "While we do have a code of not killing, I'll use the turrets to shoot down the gunships. Forcing them to fight us on the ground than in the air."

"If that doesn't work, I'll take care of it," said Nightwing as he twirls his shock batons, ready to jump at the gunships. "I presume though the Jedi got our distress signal?"

"Yeah, but I'm not sure when they'll get here," said Abigail who knew they got their distress signal cut off the moment it went out for a few seconds. "Hopefully they'll find out just from the attack happening around here."

Abigail sees the shield is dropping now to 20% and is rapidly getting down to 10%. "Ahsoka, you and the Clones must keep them from getting through. Do whatever it takes," she then begins communicating to the Clones. "Boys, I know my family is against killing, but you do what you must for your own safety. They're likely wearing something to keep them from being stunned, so…give them hell."

"Yes ma'am," said Captain Rex as he turns to Hunter and Cody. "One last glorious day in the Grand Army of the Republic, right boys?"

"You said it," said Hunter as he turns to his team. "You heard the boss lady, boys. Let's show these boys what we Clones are made of."

"Hell yeah!" Hunter shouted as he couldn't wait for this fight.

Commander Cody turns to the rest of the Clones and begins speaking with them. "Boys, I think it's time we remind these TYGER Guards and their boss, Thrawn, what we Clones are made of. Let's teach them a lesson and show them what real soldiers look like."

The Clones all cheered in unison as they all placed their helmets on their heads. All looking ready to fight. If they die, they'll at least die with honor and take as many enemies as possible down with them. Not just for the Republic, but for everything Abigail has done for them.

Giving them all second chances to fight for the Republic and protect the people. Even from those at the very top in power.

Ahsoka looks down to her lightsabers and sighed softly. She knew she should be up there with Lux, but she knew she was needed down here. Not just to fight with the Clones, but to help them in this fight. Plus…it felt like old times again for her to fight alongside Rex and the soldiers she fought with during the Clone Wars.

"You ready, commander?" Captain Rex asked towards Ahsoka.

Ahsoka knew she wasn't a commander and knew Rex shouldn't keep calling her that, but she decided to let it go. And focus on the task at hand.

"Depends. Are you ready to follow me into battle, one more time?" Ahsoka asked as she grips her weapons and got herself in a defensive stance.

Captain Rex simply chuckles and puts his helmet on before getting his blasters out. "Always ready to follow you anywhere, commander."

Ahsoka is glad to hear that and could see the shield has finally failed. It's beginning to die down and she knew this was it. She could hear the sound of the turrets opening fire and begins taking down the gunships. Not all of them though, as she saw the gunships beginning to land.

Before she knew it, the TYGER Guards fired from their rocket launchers, which caused the missiles to be launched towards the entrance. Ahsoka stops them with the Force and caused them to detonate. However, more are fired and soon hit the entrance. Blowing it up and creating a large hole for the TYGER Guards to enter.

"Here they come!" Ahsoka ignites her lightsabers and begins deflecting the first shots from the TYGER Guards.

"Shields!" Captain Rex ordered as the first line of Clones stood in front of them and begins activating energy shields from their right wrist gauntlets.

More TYGER Guards soon begin entering the building and fire hundreds of blaster shots at the Clone Soldiers. All blocked by the energy shields as the Clones fought back and opened fire. Crosshair and a few snipers stood behind the line and opened fire. Hitting their targets, even those hiding in the smoke and debris. Wrecker and a few Clones soon begin going up to high ground and opened fire with their mini gun as they fired rapid shots at their enemies.

All the while, Ahsoka has some of the Clones go join them and use the energy shield to deflect the blasters.

But no matter how many soldiers they took down, more of them kept on pouring in. Before long, they begin releasing large DT-Series Sentry Droids and C-Series War Droids. Ahsoka saw this and ordered the men to fall back. The enemy droids possessed stronger fire power and begin shooting down the Clones, including those with the shields.

Ahsoka motions for Hunter and Rex to cover her as she begins charging in. Avoiding the blaster shots from the droids and TYGER Guards, she managed to slash her lightsabers through some of the droids. Taking them some of them down, but she knew more were still coming in. She even saw some of the TYGER Guards trying to outflank her. Luckily, Tech threw an electro magnetic pulse grenade over Ahsoka's head, before Crosshair opened fire.

Hitting the grenade and knocking out the droids around Ahsoka. The bodies of the droids fell over and took the blaster shots from the TYGER Guards. Shielding Ahsoka, which allowed her to turn her attention to the TYGER Guards. Captain Rex and Hunter rushed over to attack the TYGER Guards.

Hunter dodges their blasters and slashes at the enemy. Stabbing them in the chest and even slashing across their throats. While Captain Rex used his blaster to hit the enemy and fired at them. Taking down more of the soldiers but are soon confronted by a large War Droid.

Wrecker however, leaps over and grabs the droid from behind. He picks up the droid as he lets out a loud yell, before tossing the droid at the TYGER Guards. As he goes to grab his mini-gun, he gets shot in the shoulder and chest, before falling to the ground. Hunter rushes to Wrecker, while Ahsoka and Rex cover them.

Tech and Echo rush over to help grab Wrecker before pulling him back. Ahsoka could see the enemy was now pouring in more and was overrunning them.

"Fall back! Fall back to the next room!" Ahsoka ordered the men as they begin falling back.

But not before Ahsoka begins contacting R2-D2. "R2, get ready to lock the doors down once we get through. And let Abigail know what happened."

R2 understood and goes over to near the door, before the droid prepares to lock the door.

Ahsoka managed to get her Clones back, but not before losing at least thirty of her men. Once the last soldier got through, she leaps backwards and the door closes. Just before the blaster shots could hit Ahsoka, who knew had R2 not closed the door down, she most likely would have been shot. She begins panting heavily as she deactivates her weapon and gives a small nod to her droid friend.

She turns to her men, who begin recovering from the attack and prepared the room for a better defensive position.

"Abigail, you there?" Ahsoka began contacting her friend hoping she's got better news. "How's Nightwing doing?"

"He's managed to help take down some of the Gunships and keep them from landing on the rooftop. I can send him down to help you guys," said Abigail who knew Ahsoka, and the other Clones needed backup.

"No," Ahsoka replied knowing Lux needs to stay up there with the other battalion of Clones they have. "If Thrawn's soldiers make it to the rooftop, then they'll get to you."

Abigail's room is near the top of the building. Even if she locks herself down in her room, the TYGER Guards will find a way inside. Thrawn planned this, so he must have given them the tools needed to break into any secured room. Even where the senators are at.

"We just need to hold them off here," said Ahsoka as she sees the room, they're in. "They won't be able to blow through the walls without using all their explosives. But we'll need to make sure they can't get through anywhere else."

Ahsoka knew the front entrance was with glass windows and a glass door. But the walls in the building were built to be thick and strong. Enough to keep large explosives from blowing through them. Only other way would be to laser their way inside.

Abigail begins locking down the areas where the TYGER Guards might get through, but she knew if she did that, they'll all have to pour into one area. Where Ahsoka and the others are at.

Abigail knew what Ahsoka is up to and was still worried. "You sure about this? This is a little risky, even for you."

"I'm sure. This will help buy us time before the Jedi get here," and Ahsoka is hoping by then, Daniel and the others will have stop Thrawn's plan.

Captain Rex sees what Ahsoka is thinking and likes it. "We'll funnel them in. We'll block off any other way for them to get through and force them to come through here."

Hunter knew that idea would only work if they can keep the enemy from getting through any other way. "And with the outside having security measures to keep them from climbing up the building, this could work."

"It will," said Ahsoka as she begins ordering Fives and Cody to begin helping secure the other areas where the TYGER Guards from getting through. "Hunter, I'm going to need Crosshair to go to upper levels and see if he can take down the enemy from above."

"Roger that," said Hunter before he turns to Crosshair. "Take as much ammunition with you and make sure to cut their numbers down."

"Consider it done," said Crosshair as he goes to grab as much ammo that he'll need for the job.

"Tech and Echo, go with him. See if you two can hack into the TYGER Guards' com-links," said Ahsoka before she hands them a flash drive. "Abigail managed to get a lock of their signal, but we need you to hack into their communications and jam them."

Ahsoka knew Abigail is busy trying to help Daniel and the others. While also using their security systems to try keeping the enemy from destroying the building.

"We'll get to work on this right away," said Echo as the two Clones begin following Crosshair to the upper levels.

Ahsoka sees Hunter helping the men set up a barrier for them to take cover, while they see the doors before them getting close to being broken down.

"Abby, any word from the others?" Ahsoka asked as she prepared for another round with the TYGER Guards.

"I lost contact with them when they broke into the Joker's lair. But I'm sure they're all okay," said Abigail as she looked through the monitors to see the security cameras from Arkham City that the TYGER Guards have begun their attack. "And they'll stop this madness, before its too late."

Arkham City

Robin and Batgirl struggled to push open the door so they can get to their father. They were saved by their father after the ceiling fell over them during their fight with the Joker. Unfortunately, their father was trapped in the room and possibly under the debris. The two struggled to get it open, but they couldn't get it loose.

Finally, Robin decided to try something. He and Batgirl begin placing some of the explosive gel on the door. And by some, it was more like a lot of it. The two soon ran far enough from the door, before detonating the gel.

It worked and the doors blew open. Even knocked some of the debris away.

They ran back into the room to look for their father. Thankfully they found him under the debris but was still alive.

"Father!" Batgirl rushed to her father to check on him. No signs of anything broken, but she could see the poison in him was rapidly coming back. "Can you move?"

"O-Only a little," said Batman as he moves his free hand over and tries to move the debris off of him.

"Hold on, we got this" said Robin as he and his sister begin trying to remove the debris off their father, but it was too heavy. "Sh-Shit. Where's Superman when we need him?"

"Would you settle for a Catwoman?" the two kids turn to see Catwoman arriving in the room through the hole that was made in the building. "You two look like you can use some help."

Batgirl smiled when she saw Selina has arrived to help them. "We really could."

"All right then," said Selina as she kneels down and grabs the debris with the kids. "One three. One…two…three!"

The three soon begin helping Batman remove the debris off of him. With the three of them together, they managed to make it work and help him to his feet.

"Figured you could use my help," said Catwoman as she sees the kids checking on their father.

Batman turns to Selina, grateful for her showing up. "You're right, I think I chipped a nail back there."

Selina chuckled softly as Batman used her line from earlier in the night. "You stick with the brooding, I'll handle the wisecracks."

"I guess so…thank you, Selina," said Batman as he thanks Selina for her help.

"We really appreciate it," said Batgirl who's thankful for Selina's help, especially since she could tell she was in the middle of something important.

"You're welcome," said Selina as she turns to the noises coming from outside. "I guess we both know what Protocol 10 is now, right? If you're planning on stopping it, you need to hurry."

"What about you? What are you going to do?" Robin asked wondering what Catwoman will do.

"Me? I guess I'll go find any survivors and get them to safety," said Selina who knew there were still plenty of innocent people in this prison city that need help. "Who knows? Maybe if I help out, I'll get a full pardon for my heroism."

"Just be careful, Selina," said Batman who didn't want to risk losing Selina.

Selina walks back over to Batman before she gives him a kiss on the cheek. "You too, handsome," she soon steps back and begins making her way out.

Once she was gone, Batman begins making his way through the hole in the building, with his kids following him.

"Father, what's the plan? How are we going to stop Protocol 10?" Batgirl asked wondering if father has a plan.

Batman didn't respond to her question and instead begins contacting his sister. "Oracle, Thrawn is launching his missile strikes on Arkham City from the tower he's hiding out in. Can you shut this place down? Can you shut down Protocol 10?"

"Not without hacking through his security systems, which will take time," Oracle replied before hearing the fighting going on through the other com-links she has.

"What was that?" Batman asked as he heard the noises.

"Thrawn has launched his attack at our building. Ahsoka, Lux, and the Clones are holding the TYGER Guards back, but I don't know for how long," Oracle explained as she was multi-tasking everything. "Besides, weren't you planning to go after Thrawn anyways?"

"The Joker took Talia," Batman explained how she came to save him from being killed by the Joker, by offering herself and the Lazarus Pit. "I need to go after them and save her before it's too late."

Robin was shocked to hear not only did his mother come to save his father, but she did it by offering the clown the Lazarus Pit. "Is she insane? Why didn't she kill him when she had the chance?"

Batman had suspicions of why that is, but he knew he needed to save Talia. "Oracle, how long will it take for you to hack into Thrawn's security systems?"

"Too much time. I'm literally working on trying to keep Thrawn's men from breaking in here and keep everyone alive," said Oracle who knew she couldn't hack into Thrawn's computer systems without pulling her focus from everything else. "I need your help to stop the attack. If you don't, then hundreds, no, thousands will be killed."

"He'll kill, Talia. I can't let that happen," said Batman as he begins trying to activate the homing tracker that he saw Talia had on her, but saw it stopped after 62%. "My tracker's not activating. Re-route all Wayne-Tech satellites to boost the signal."

"No," said Batgirl as she steps forward to stop her father. "Oracle is right. Robin and I can't go stop Thrawn on our own and I know you won't send us to go save Talia from the Joker."

"Batgirl is right," as much as Robin didn't like saying that he knew his sister is right. "Mother will be okay. If the Joker wanted her dead, he would have done it already. We need to stop Thrawn's plan and save everyone."

"I can't," said Batman who was now struggling with what he needed to do.

A part of him loves Talia and didn't want her to be killed. He didn't want to see someone else he cared about be taken from him, not when he can do something about it. But the other part of him, is telling him he needs to stop Thrawn. He has a responsibility and can't ignore it to save Talia.

"You need to think this through," said Alfred as he now began speaking through the com-link. "Batman can't let all these people die. I realize it is difficult, sir, but you need to decide if one life is worth sacrificing to save a thousand?"

"Don't do this, Alfred. I can't lose Talia," said Batman who didn't want to risk losing someone he cares about, especially to the Joker again.

"Batman must save the people. I'm sorry, but deep down, you know I'm right," said Alfred who reminds Daniel what he must do, what his father and mother would want him to do.

"Father, please," Batgirl pleaded. "We need you. We all do."

Batman turns to his children and then back towards the city, being destroyed by the gunships. He fists clenching and balling up in anger. He knows he has to save Talia, but he knows they're right. He has to stop Thrawn and save everyone.

"Oracle do not lose Talia's signal. Once I'm done with Thrawn, I'll go save her," said Batman as he decides to do what he must do, save Arkham City.

Abigail let's out a loud sigh of relief that her brother has listened to reason. "OK, but you won't be able to get into the tower due to it being locked down. However, I managed to gain the access codes in order to gain access to the elevators that will help you get in."

Abigail sends them the codes she acquired from the Riddler, after she successfully hacked into his computer systems.

"The code should let you enter via the guard room near the main gate," said Oracle who knew it will be risky due to the increased security around the entrance. "Be careful, okay? And make sure to come back in one piece."

"We will and be careful too, Abby," said Batman who knows he'll need to hurry in order to stop Thrawn.

He motions for his kids to hold on to him, before he begins activating his rocket boots. Flying them into the air and head towards the main gate of the prison. They managed to avoid being seen by the TYGER Guards' gunships. Moving around in the air before they spot the entrance, along with two armed snipers.

Batgirl and Robin both pushed off their father as he flew past the two snipers, intentionally. The snipers saw the Batman and turn to aim their weapons at him. However, they failed to notice Batgirl and Robin gliding behind them. Both sidekicks kicking their enemies from behind, directly to the back of their heads.

Knocking out the two guards and tying them up, before Batman goes to the door panel. Once using the code that his sister got them, he managed to get the door opened. The trio soon head inside the prison's processing center. The same area Daniel had gone through when he was brought to the prison city and where he met Thrawn face-to-face.

They come across another locked door, but once more, using the code, they were able to get inside. They made their way down to the second level, where they were able to enter in the processing area. There they found unarmed prisoners, huddled against the wall. With their arms up and begging for the TYGER Guards not to shoot them.

Luckily for the prisoners, Batman, Batgirl, and Robin leap off the balcony, before they took down the criminals. They turn to the prisoners, who all revealed to have been politicians. Locked up here by Thrawn for interfering in his work. They begin tying up the guards, when Thrawn appeared on the screen above them.

"Hello there, Batman," said Thrawn as he greets the Batman and his allies. "I'm pleased to see you all made it. I was beginning to wonder what took you so long to get here."

"Stop this madness now, Thrawn," said Batman as he spoke back to Thrawn, while his kids watched his back. "What you're doing is wrong and you know it."

"Wrong you say? Hmm, let me ask you a question. Before my arrival to this plane, nay to the galaxy, what was it like?" Thrawn asked knowing what the Batman's answer would be. "What was it like Batman, watching the Republic, drown under a tide of filth, corruption, and chaos?"

"The Republic is flawed yes, and it did allow corruption to run free, but I helped stop it," said Batman as he explains how his arrival made an impact. "We stopped the chaos that was occurring and worked to help push the Republic to become better."

"Better you say? Are you sure about that?" Thrawn asked who knew different. "Since your arrival, criminals like the Joker, the Penguin, Two-Face, Killer Croc, Mr. Freeze, the list goes on, had taken over the place of the criminals you stopped, Batman. Since their arrival, more lives had been lost than when the corrupted politicians and crime lords were around."

Thrawn knew Batman's presence caused all sort of crazed criminal to appear in the galaxy. He didn't just study who Daniel is and why he became the Batman, but he also studied his enemies. Finding out their origins, why they do what they do, and has seen the destruction they've caused. And how for years, Batman has allowed this to occur without putting these criminals down.

"Oh sure, you've locked these criminals up and hope they will be rehabilitated, but in the end, they always end up escaping. Allowing them to continue with their crimes and kill more innocent lives," said Thrawn knowing Batman's actions has done little to bring the peace he was hoping for.

"Had you ever considered that all of this is your fault? Your presence created these animals; like germs, they spread. Spreading across the galaxy and bringing more harm than good. You created the environment that allowed the germ to mutate, to become stronger," said Thrawn as he shows images upon images of the criminals that Batman has fought and images of their victims. "How many lives have been lost because of you? How many have died because you refused to do what logically needed to be done."

"Because if he kills them, then the Batman will just be like those criminals," said Batgirl as she defends her father.

"She's right. And then he'd just be hunted down by all those who believed him to be a monster," said Robin who defended his father and his code, which at one time he was against, but now stands to honor it.

"I never said he needed to be the one to put them down. There have been times the Batman and his allies have done all they can to prevent these criminals from being executed," said Thrawn bringing up the times that Batman recommended these criminals get help, even the most insane ones. "Had he simply allowed the people wanted, then these criminals wouldn't have continued their destruction. Look at the Joker."

Thrawn soon has the image of the Joker appear, along with his countless victims. "When he first appeared, he never considered the Batman anything more than a nuisance. However, that all changed the night you fought him didn't it? Had it not been for you saving him, he would never had taken an interest in you, and wouldn't have done all the crimes he's done for you. Because as we both know, Batman, he exists because of you."

Batman knew he shouldn't listen to what Thrawn is saying, but he knew deep down, he wasn't wrong. If he didn't save the Joker that night, then all these lives lost would still be here. Anakin wouldn't have been killed by the Joker and things would have been different. Everything would have been different.

"It must be depressing. Because despite all your sacrifices and despite all you've done, it hasn't changed a thing. In the end, you'll continue to save these criminals, you'll continue to defend them, and more innocent lives will die because of you," said Thrawn as twenty TYGER Guards soon entered the room, aiming their blasters at the heroes.

"I'm going to leave you with two choices: One, you can surrender and watch me do what you could never do. Free the galaxy from these animals and push the Republic towards what will make it strong again. Or two, continue your pointless pursuit at this never-ending crusade, which will end with you and your allies dying," said Thrawn as he gave the cape crusader his two choices. "What will it be, Batman?"

Batgirl and Robin stood on their guard as the soldiers look ready to shoot them. They knew they won't be able to use any of their gadgets without getting shot. Their only hope? Is whatever their father is planning.

"I choose…to end your plans, Thrawn," said Batman as he kneels down and soon his cape wraps around himself and his kids as the TYGER Guards opened fire.

Their blaster shots though ended up deflecting off the cape, which is shielding the heroes. Once Batman heard them stop firing, he moves up and the kids threw a flash bomb, which blinded the criminals, leaving them disoriented. Batgirl and Robin leap over to kick the two TYGER Guards in the face.

Batman, meanwhile, charges at one of the guards and grabs him before throwing him at the screen, destroying it. He then dodges one of the guards swinging his electric staff, grabs it, and elbows him in the face. Batman then uses it on him, stunning him, before stunning two more, and then smashes the weapon across the head of one of the guards, knocking him out. Batman runs up one of the guards, who was using a shield, and grabs the shield.

Pulling it off the guard before slamming it against his face, then hits two more with it, before throwing it and knocks out a fourth guard. Leaving only nine left as he charges to attack.

Batgirl dodges the blaster shots by the two guards who are shooting blindly at them. She slides between the two men and extends a metallic staff, causing them to both fall forward. She tosses the staff back towards Robin, who grabs it and swings it, hitting both the guards in the face. Batgirl dodges one of the guards from hitting her with his electric staff and punches him in the face, before kicking him in the gut.

Robin runs over and swings his staff, taking out the guard's left leg. Batgirl runs up and drives her knee into his face, knocking him out. She then throws a Batarang at one of the other guards, knocking his weapon out of hand. Allowing Robin to rush in and drive his staff into his gut, before swinging it and hits him across the head, knocking him out.

Batman rushes over to punch one of the guards in the face, a punch to the gut, and then a big uppercut sending him flying. Batman dodges and blocks another guard's punches and sidesteps to allow the guard's swing to miss. Batman then kicks him in the back, causing him to fall forward, but Batgirl rushes in, wraps her legs around his neck, and launches him into a wall, face first. One of the guards' charges at Batgirl, but Robin jumps over and kicks him square in the face.

Batman grabs the guard and throws him through a door. This left two more, as the two guards recovered from the flash bomb. One grabs his blaster and opens fire, while the other took a grenade out to throw it at one of the heroes. The guard throws it, but Robin throws a birdarang and hits the grenade, causing it send to guard flying back due to how close it still was.

The other fell back too, but managed to get up, just as Batman knocks him down and punches him, knocking him out. The last guard began to slowly recover, but not before Batgirl and Robin jump at him, then kick him in the gut, knocking him out.

Once the TYGER Guards have been taken out, Batman has the kids tie the criminals up. Before helping get the prisoners somewhere safe. They all thanked the Batman and the kids for their help. And how if it wasn't for them, they'd be dead.

Hearing those words after what he had heard Thrawn said gave the Batman some relief that there are people, who are thankful for all they've done. Yes, he knows it was still his fault with how far these criminals have gotten, but he knows what Thrawn is doing is wrong. What he's done to these innocent people and how many he has put down for his insane vision. He's shown him that he's the one who's at fault here for what has happened in Arkham City.

"Father, are you okay?" Robin asked wondering if his father is ready to continue.

Batman turns to his son and nods in response. "I'm fine. We need to get going."

Batman begins scanning the room and is able to find where they need to go. Down through a sewer manhole, before it leads them to a tunnel.

"Hold on a second," said Robin as he notices the tunnels look a lot like the ones they entered when chasing his mother's bodyguard. "Father, doesn't this look like…"

"It does," said Batman who knew what his son was going to say. "It seems Thrawn must have known about these tunnels. If that's the case, then expect more TYGER Guards waiting for us down here."

Batgirl and Robin nod in response before they follow the Batman. The coordinates to the elevator that will lead them up to the tower, is close by. They managed to make their way around, before entering the room, where Batman and Robin had entered. The one that led to the underground city and led to Ra's.

Once inside, they could hear what sounds like TYGER Guards waiting for them. They attempted to use their cowl to scan for the enemy, but found it was being jammed.

"It looks like they're trying to keep us from detecting their presence," said Batgirl who could see at least two snipers and the one carrying the jammer. "How do you want to do this, father?"

Batman scouted the area and got an idea what to do. "Take the group from the right and I'll take the ones from the left. Let's move in fast, but quietly."

The young heroes nod as they begin making their move. Batman took down the guard with the jammer by gliding over him and threw a cryo-grenade to freeze him, while disabling his machine. This allowed the others to get a lock at where the rest of the guards are at. Batman glides over and kicks one of the guards on the other side of the room and knocks him out.

Robin and Batgirl meanwhile, glide over to take out the two snipers on the upper levels. Taking them out quietly, before they look down to see one guard walking by. Robin leaps down and wraps his legs around the other to choke him out, while Batgirl kicks his weapon out of hand and kicks his knees out to make him fall. After a few seconds, the guard got knocked out and Robin lets him go, before they hid in the shadows.

Batman heads towards the guard guarding the elevator entrance, before using his grappling gun to grab him. He pulls him close before he slams his head on the rail and threw him over. Wrapping a cable around his ankles and leaves him dangling. Before using his grappling gun to launch himself to a nearby statue and flies over the two-armed guards on the other side of the rail.

Batman threw a smoke pellet down at the men, causing them to begin aiming their weapons up to try shooting at Batman. But this was done as a distraction to allow Batgirl and Robin to leap over to attack them. Robin wraps his legs around one of the guards and launches him over the railing, falling on his back. While Batgirl does the same, but instead launches the criminal against the elevator door, before passing out.

This left only one guard left as he looked around panicking, but unfortunately for him, Batman grabs him as he flew down towards him. Batman uses his rocket boots to fly them up and then throws him through a window. Once he saw he was down, Batman begins regrouping with his kids.

They tied up the last of the men, before he goes to the elevator door. Hacking into the control panel and allowing them access inside.

"This won't lead us to the top of the tower, but it should lead us to the observation deck," said Batgirl as she analyzes how far the elevator will take him.

"So, we'll need to climb the rest of the way up," said Robin who should have known this wouldn't be easy. "Sure. Why not? It's not like Thrawn was going to make this easy for us."

Batman heads in the elevator with his kids and soon activates it. Having it take them up from the underground area to the surface.

As they made their way up, Batgirl and Robin begin trying to formulate a plan. They can't rush at Thrawn head on without a plan. They'll need to play it smart and try to surprise him. Problem is the guy knows Batman well enough to know what plans he might come up with.

So, they'll need to do something that Thrawn won't see coming.

"What do you think you are doing, Wayne?" suddenly they can hear Thrawn speaking to them through the speakers, showing he knows they're in there. "You cannot stop me. I have won."

Batgirl and Robin go to smash the speakers, but Batman stops them. Knowing there's no point in doing so and to simply ignore him.

"Within the hour, every single piece of criminal scum will burn, and then I will turn my attention to your allies," said Thrawn as he continued to speak, even if Batman and his children refuse to say anything. "I will march to Wayne Manor, I will drag your faithful butler through the streets of Coruscant and I will make him tell the world how you have failed."

"I will then have your sister, Ahsoka Tano, Lux Bonteri, and Padme Amidala executed for their betrayal of the Republic. I will spare your children and Senator Amidala's children though, but only because I believe with the right programming, they will become loyal soldiers to serve under me. And if the Jedi stand in my way, then I will do what Chancellor Palpatine should have done, execute them all."

Hearing Thrawn threatened Alfred, his sister, their friends, and the children made Batman ball up his fist. Clenching it as he felt himself getting angry, but he began calming himself down. He knew this is what Thrawn wants. To lose his focus and make a mistake.

He won't give in. He'll stop Thrawn and save everyone, no matter what.

"My Arkham City experiment is a success and you…you will kneel before me, begging for your life," said Thrawn as he begins finishing with his speech. "I'll see you soon, Batman."

With that, the speakers go silenced and the elevator is reaching its destination. With armed TYGER Guards waiting for them.

The TYGER Guards wait for the doors to open as the elevator announcer begins letting those in the elevator know they've arrived. The moment the doors opened; the guards opened fire. Firing their weapons inside the elevator, hoping to kill the Batman and his sidekicks. However, they ceased fire when they realized no one is inside.

They begin making their way inside, wondering where the Batman and his sidekicks went. Not noticing the device that Batman had left inside on the ceiling.

Batman, Batgirl, and Robin had escaped through the rooftop of the elevator. Making their way through an opening in the elevator shaft and landed behind the guards. The TYGER Guards saw the heroes and prepared to fire, until the device activated. Electrocuting them all and knocking them out.

Once they were all down, Batgirl and Robin tied up the guards, before looking up at the tower. Batman knew they've got a long climb to get to the top, so they'll need to hurry. Before more lives are lost. And before Thrawn can go after the people they love.

That's the end of the chapter and it looks like all hell broke loose. With Ahsoka and the Clones fighting back against the TYGER Guards, to Batman and his kids fighting their way up to the tower. All the while, Batman is still poisoned and he wants to go save Talia. Before the Joker can become immortal and ends up killing Talia.

Will they be able to stop Thrawn's plan in time? Will they save everyone in Arkham City? Does anyone agree with what Thrawn said, blaming the Batman for the criminals existing? Or think the guy has gone mad?
