My Dying Wish

What were the words on the star's daughter's tongue,
as she looked at her son,
before life was undone?

What did the mother so wish to say,
on that heart-stricken day,
till poison stole speech away?

I did not know that this would be how I would fall. I did not know that a witch of the earth would steal my skymy sky. My star, my love, my Caspian; my hope, my joy, my Rillian. I have so much, so much to lose. I love you, my son. I love you more than the Stars' dance, more than their silver light, more than the life I could have had. I love your father too. And please, I pray to You, Aslan, please—do not let the lightless snake coil around my son. Let him defeat it, if it tries. Let beauty not blind him to evil; let him see the snake beneath the face, as I saw the face beneath the snake—the smile that delighted in killing.

Aslanrescue my son.

Also, a very warm thank-you to HeynaBlackstar for all the reviews! I've smiled at every single one; thank you for leaving them!
