Day 1:

Kill Streak

Dear diary,

Okay...how to tell this?

I think I just committed a crime. Or well, maybe multiple. Honestly, it wasn't my fault.

You see, I am not entirely alone in this place. There are other 'humans' in this place. Although, I don't know if these things qualify as human.

I found the first one standing with his head towards the wall, softly moaning.

His head was bald and his skin hung loosely from his bones. He looked like he had died several times but didn't realize it.

Anyway, I stabbed him in the back.

Look this might make me sound like an asshole, but I didn't mean to kill him but...well, I had to figure out how sharp my half of a sword was.

I am sure he didn't mind it either. He hasn't complained about his demise so far.

My broken sword did go right through his back, as if he was made out of paper.

After that I felt something incorporeal leave his body and enter mine. Not really sure what it was, and I am worried I might have caught whatever disease he had.

I continued my stroll and came across several more of these things. All of them ignored my questions, even when I poked them they didn't talk.

Naturally, I had to test my sword again, to make sure the first kill wasn't a fluke.

I gained a lot more of that white substance. I really hope it's not bad for my health. It would be a shame to die in a place like this.

Also, I think the people I just killed weren't alive in the first place. I mean, this place is called the Northern Undead Asylum. I think the people I just killed were undead.

In that case, eww!

Good lord, I'm glad I got the jump on them first. Just imagine if one of those dirty meatbags had scratched me. I would have turned into an Undead as well!

A good call on my part.

Anyway. I'll continue to explore this not so desolate place. I'll inform you if anything interesting happens.

I am seeing a nice campfire right now, waiting to be lit…
