Cupcakes, which Siegfried eats, sitting neatly on the sofa. And first he'll take one from the plate. Then he'll eat the sugared violet off the top; and then he'll nibble all the icing off, taking tiny bites with his perfect white teeth, and finally finishing by using his tongue, swirling it all around the top, to get the last little bits. And then he sets the cake to one side and starts on another one.

And Seto thinks it's ridiculous. He said so the last time he was here, which was also the only time he was here, because, for one thing, he doesn't like tea, and besides, what's the point of bringing someone if all they're going to do is sit in a straight-backed chair and call everyone else ridiculous?

So now it's just Pegasus. And he'll bring a box from La Boulangerie, and toy with one cupcake, while Siegfried eats the frosting off all the rest of them. "You eat those so perfectly," he'll say, and

"I know," Siegfried answers. It's not that he doesn't like sweet things, even though he does prefer wine and cheese. It's just that sugar is always so much better, when he tastes it in Siegfried's mouth.
