Chief Aran's ship
Chief Rodney Aran was flying over planet Zebes, on a trip to negotiate trade deals with locals a few planets away. The ship was currently on autopilot, and he was eating lunch with his wife, Virginia, and his 3-year old daughter, Samus.
They were enjoying some classic PB 's, when an alarm started blaring. The ship was under attack by space pirates. Rodney, out of parental instinct, took the largest plasma gun, and prepared for attack. Meanwhile, Virginia hid Samus away in a storage compartment, then grabbed another plasma gun.
"Mommy, what's happening?" Samus said, out of fright. "Everything's going to be fine, sweetie, daddy and I are going to defend you." Said Virginia, comforting Samus.
BANG!
The door burst open, flying halfway across the ship. A loud roar could be heard, and Rodney started firing. Then, a giant purple dragon speeded through the ship, and impaled Rodney with his tail, but not after damaging the dragon's wing.
Virginia tried to run, but failed. She was next to the compartment Samus was hiding in, but The dragon proceeded to crush Virginia's skull. Blood splattered all over the ship, and some of it got onto Samus's face through the grate she was breathing through.
The dragon then looked towards the doorframe, and 2 other pirates entered. Then, to Samus's surprise, the dragon spoke. "I want everything gone. All survivors dead. Anything valuable will be transferred to my ship" The pirates responded: "yes, lord Ridley."
Ridley then flew through the ship and out, then proceeded to fly out into space. His ship's connection to the other ship was now severed, and the two space pirates proceeded to search the ship.
Samus may have been young, but her father still taught her how to use a basic energy pistol. She then proceeded to take hers out, just in case, when she heard the pirates on coms say "there's nothing here, returning to ship." They then left.
Just as Samus exited her hiding space, she felt a rumble. Ridley was at the back, and made the engines explode. The ship was crashing, and fast. Samus found cover, and as the dead bodies of her parents flew out of the ship, she hoped she would survive.
