"Are you sure that this is going to work?" Arata whispered as the two of them were clinging to the side of a wall.
"I hope so as" Alina replied.
Having him follow her lead the two of them made there way out of the room in what he found was a rather a weird fashion. Though Alina claimed it allow them to avoid being spotted on the camera or the guard that went by earlier. Leaving the two other Dolls that were apparently order to be a chair was also easy. Almost too easy but he was assured they would be coming after them. The two seem to be order not to move from their spots thus neither one of them were budging a muscle from their positions.
Rather typical of a Dolls really as they could remain in the same position for hours regardless of what it was. In fact Arata had seen Alina do that herself when she was still Marz though never bought that up since she seem to want to separate herself from that persona that was forced upon her whenever she could. They were positions and pose neither one of them would want to recall when he thought about it.
Alina was keeping to the wall at time and others she was allowing them to walk normally as they were avoiding the cameras and the guards. Stopping him even before a guard appeared to just walk by then without even looking in their direction. Looking at the expression or lack of expression in the guard, Arata was able to tell these guards were the ones that failed to become Dolls. Those even more unforunate people had completely one track minds. The can only do two things as that all Dantom was able to salvage from utterly and completely shattered minds. Live and whatever simplistic order they were given.
"Come on the coast is clear" Alina said
Them running across a hallway that was literally right outside two guards line of sight. The two guards almost ran into each other but at the last moment turned around and continued along their predetermined paths.
Back in the room where Saru, Juni, and Raks were standing without moving an inch. A lone kunoichi was carefully dropping down from an air duct wondering just how something like this was able to exist without anyone at all outside here knowing about. The existence of a base such as this should most certainly draw some attention to it even if it is in remote area like it was. After all she was from a ninja village herself where they taught from childhood how to be stealthy and remain out of sight. However even their village was not completely unknown to those outside of it as that how they got mission after all. It was not like the only way to get news was by other ninjas that acted only as mail carriers for them. People sent them missions directly and they were others means of finding them.
This place however for what they seem to be doing to be hidden like this was well beyond what she would have ever expected possible. Having accepted this mission to save the daughter of wealthy Arabian man. Her bodyguard came to their village looking to hire her especially and seem very intent on doing so(even offering them twice the amount of the original cost just for her to take it personally).
The name of the female ninja going through this was Ibuki. A very skilled and capable kunoichi who could have been even better in some people's eyes if she did not have wishes to be just a normal everyday girl. While her desire did not effect her skills and ability to carry out mission yet there were those that questioning her. However her guardian of sorts/ninja master Enjo kept those people in check though allowing her to be herself. Which she was grateful for even if that at the same time if ever skipped or missing training she was suppose to have to he would come down on her with make work and assignment like no one else.
Ibuki walking over to where Saru and Juni were just standing there motionless. She waved a hand in front of their vacant eyes and even poke at their heads a bit only to get no reaction from them at all.
'I do not even want to know what they must have been subjected to in order for them to be reduced to this state' the ninja thought to herself.
Then walking over to where Raks was standing and Ibuki then recalled the image she saw on the picture compare to one that was standing before. They could not look more different from each other as they sheer change in them over all was beyond amazing. This was the person she was sent here to save right as they looked similar but there still feeling that was off about them. There was nothing visible about them from how the bodyguard described them and the almost lifeless look not in their face or eyes.
Ibuki was really starting to wonder just what was this girl thinking trying to take on some group like this as she was. That girl was merely asking for trouble to come a smack her upside the head and was kind of foolish to think a single bodyguard could protect her against a group this well organized.
Though her mission was to rescue Pullum, Ibuki was not sure if she should even try as it did not look as if Pullum was in there anymore. The one she had been hired to save might not even exist anymore since they been reduced down to the one before her now. Rather then trying to save someone that was probably already too far gone to be saved. Ibuki thought it probably a better idea to just get out here and inform others of this place. Allowing so that others do not fall victim to what happened to the three girls she had run into here.
Meanwhile…
Arata was wondering about Alina as she did not seem like the one that he had originally met online. Though that was to be expected as people are not always exactly like they were online. The difference that he was feeling from her was far beyond that benefit of a doubt for him. It was unerveing him that she was like this and it was slowly building as they went along.
While Alina was aware that she was acting differently then normal however she played it off as her wanting to get them out here as fast as possible. She was driven to get Arata out this place as he did not seem that deep into what Shadaloo was at the moment. He was certainly in but not as deep as she had been forced into the depth of this organization's darkness. Alina considered herself fortunate that for whatever reason she was able to escape that place that she had been until now. If she could ensure that Arata does not get anywhere close.
So when Ibuki dropped down before them, this cause Marz to enter a fighting stance as she was not going to allow anyone to stop her. While during her time as Marz she might have been primarily hacker however all Dolls were well verse in their own fighting style which even a non-combat Dolls could take on most as long as they were not too skilled.
"Whoa…Whoa…Hold it. I am not here to fight you as the two of you are trying to escape this base. So I am thus why do not we work together. You seem to know this place thus getting you out here would help exploit this place" Ibuki explained.
So far she did not have anything other then what she had seen with her own eyes during her short time here. However here were two that were trying to get away so if she helped them get out then that would be something to back up her claims and what she had seen. Also since they were trying to escape they might know something that could be useful as well.
Taking point Ibuki serve as the lookout and scout to ensure that everything was okay along the path that Alina was instructing them to go. While Arata worries about there being something wrong and off about Alina kept growing and growing the close they got to the exit.
Going ahead as this was the final stretch before they were all out of the base and just need to get back to a town or anywhere they could get far away from here. So not wanting to screw up here at the finish line, Ibuki went ahead.
Though who she saw standing right in the way of the exit was brown hair girl that she saw in the room with what had become of Pullum.
"Saru has confronted the target as order" she said look directly at Ibuki who assume a fighting stance wondering if she could manage to beat them.
"Target Neutralized" Saru said
'Huh what is she…..wait why can not I move' Ibuki thought as her body was no longer responding to her commands as she found herself basically rooted to this spot.
Then from the outside a very thin and tall man with a goatee who wears a loose, purple Chinese long shirt with equal long sleeves. Black Chinese pants and shoe with long red socks. Eyes hidden behind a pair of black shades and large black hat on his head.
"Interesting it seem that Dantom has added another Dolls to the group to replace that defective one that ran off" they said walking over to where Saru was.
"State your business" Saru stated as this person was unknown to her thus could also be another target.
"So Dantom really did take me serious with what I told him about the Dolls settings. No matter that can be clear up easily" the tall man stated.
Ibuki could only watch as the man with little bit of effort managed to say something into Saru's ear stopping her before she landed a blow that could have dealt some damage.
"Accepted. Welcome F.A.N.G" Saru stated as she stood aside allow him to walk pass her towards the currently immobile Ibuki.
Wanting nothing more then for him to leave or for whatever what to her to wear off. Ibuki could endure as he went about examining her from head to toe.
"Interesting find you could make a find Dolls yourself. *Looking over to Saru*What number are you" he asked.
"This Dolls is number 0014 Saru" she replied.
"So you would make a fine 001.…" F.A.N.G started before being interrupted.
"Incorrect that is not number 0015" she said.
However before anything else could be done this when Arata and Alina appeared.
"Ibuki what going on why are you just standing there instead of having come….back" Alina said before looking at F.A.N.G standing there nearby her.
Arata looked and wondered what about this strange tall man could cause Alina to stop in her track like that and she even started backing up as well.
"003.….hmmm…it seems that there something going on here as we might not have gain any new Dolls just broken even. Lord Bison will not be pleased with this" the man said with a sigh
"Arata…." Alina tried saying but the words died on her lips as she found herself shaking and her mind racing as traumas she had were resurfacing from seeing rather tall man.
"F.A.N.G what are you doing here" Dantom asked as he came walking up.
"To serve Lord Bison as I received news about Dolls. Only to see that because of recent events you have only broken even" he said.
"On the contrary we have managed to gain quite a few Dolls to make up for the lost of Killer Bee. Even more advancement in ensure that what happens with her never does again. Currently testing something with 003" Dantom explained.
"Arata I am going to try to distract them you need to….to" Alina said but the look he was given her broke the courage that she had managed to muster up.
"Why are you looking at me like that" she asked.
"Enough of this game as that all this was not it. This just another one where you just stop and start acting like Marz again is not. I thought something was strange but really I can not believe I fell for this" he said.
"A game this is not that I…" the blue hair teen tried saying.
"That right my boy as this was all just a game and nothing more. You thought you knew Alina but this the real Alina before you. But you noticed she was acting strange and different then what she claimed was her true self. She has been lying to this whole time" Dantom told him.
He then went about explain exactly the feeling Arata was feeling and revealed that if he left here then Alina would probably dump him once she did not need him anymore as even the ninja they were with had her own agenda. Merely help them escape so she could have them back her own story about why she failed in her mission to get even more important one.
"Arata you have a choice *throwing him something* on that is the command to turn Alina here back into Marz" he told him.
"Back…into…Marz" he said slowly looking at her.
Fear started to appear on Alina's face as she was not worried not so much for herself but for Arata.
"Do not listen to him come we have come this far and I probably serve as enough of distraction so you can by and make a run for it she told him as her body begin to shake as her fear was becoming more visible.
"Do you want to risk escaping as you have a girl here that can be yours and listen only to you. Only to you as long you listen to me, Bison, and Shadaloo. Leave here and how do you know it be any better out there. Recall how you were treated by the world…by your own family no less" Dantom told Arata
Looking back between the older man and Alina, Arata was conflicted about what he was going to do.
"Think about as if she is Marz she would be your loyal girlfriend and never think of ever leaving you as long as you do what I tell you. Can you say the same of Alina here or any other girl out there in the world. Alina is already shaking in fear as what to say she just never want to speak to you again after she learns what she has done here as Marz. Not only that but you done nothing to stop her either. Plus how different she has been acting recently as well" Dantom told him.
Again the fear was clearly visible in her eyes and actions as she looked at Arata trying to say something anything to convince him to come not say what would revert her back into Marz again.
"Please Arata just rip that up and go. I will not judge you as why would I do something like that I…. I….I …..programming restored Marz awaiting orders" she said as before she could finish the command was spoken by Arata.
The vacant and lifeless look in her eyes returned but Arata still did not see it. He managed to convince himself that this was for her own good however not realizing that this whole time she was shaking with fear was not because being Marz again. It was what she might do as Marz as what if Arata was not found useful anymore and they order her to take care of him. She would do that without even thinking twice as she had no will or desire as Dolls. This going against her true feelings which were that truly like him and was even going to confession her feeling hoping that put that out their would help.
As for her acting differently that was merely Alina acting like how she wanted to be. She thought that she was able to do that because she was worried about Arata well being. When in reality that was Dantom's doing as her inability to act when she need to was Dantom having undid what allow to get this far allow everything that would overwhelm come rushing back.
Dantom just smiled as somehow had feeling that what she was trying and pleased that Arata had used the command before that point though what would have happen if she had managed to get those last two words out was unknown. He had expected that she was going to reject him rather then confession which pleased Dantom.
"Now Arata head back to your work station as Marz will come for you once I finished what I have planned for her" he told her.
Ibuki could not help but feel a chill go down her spine as Dantom and F.A.N.G's attention was now directed at her fully and this would not be good at all for her.
