Samus Aran's ship

It had been 2 years since Samus quit the federation military. she had built up quite a reputation as a bounty hunter. the federation still sometimes called on her, but she rarely answered.

Samus was enjoying a drink when she got a call. A call from a place she hadn't been sense she got her armor. She answered, and it was a distress message from zebes. Specifically from gray voice, the Chozo who trained her so long ago.

"Samus, you are needed. We are under an attack, and I, of all people, can't hold off much longer. Come quic-"

She immediately piloted a course towards zebes, and got ready for the worst.

Zebes

Samus landed, and immediately was greeted with the sight of smoke in the air. She ran towards it, and what she saw was horrific.

The Chozo were massacred.

Out of the dead bodies, she noticed several claw marks on bodies, and burning infrastructure. As Samus examined the area, she noticed that there some life signatures, but fading fast. She walked up to one, and he was still alive.

"Samus... is... is that you?"

Samus responded: "I'm here. What happened?"

All he could do was point towards the nearby forest, before dropping dead. Samus proceeded to travel in that direction

At the forest, Samus found more burns and scratches, until finally finding a sign of Chozo presence. There was a ripped off arm, however the trail of blood led her to a clearing. Then, she heard shouting:

"Die, beast! You shall not defeat me, for I am gray voice, fiercest warrior of the Chozo!" She then saw who he was fighting.

Ridley screeched, as he grabbed gray voice by the chest, crushing his rib cage.

"It's a shame that you have to die" Ridley said, cold and calmly. "You would have made a great pirate."

He then tossed gray voice up in the air, prepared to bite him in half, when Samus struck him with her laser cannon.

"You again." Ridley snarled, and focused his attention on her. "To think you'd face me after what I did to you last time..."

Ridley flew over to Samus, forgetting entirely about gray voice.

"Was dropping you from 200 feet in the air not enough? I'm surprised! You'd think that would be enough to kill you. But now... now it's different."

Before Samus could react, Ridley used his tail, and sliced her chest-plate, breaking the armor apart.

"you have 5 minutes. I urge you to run. Then, the hunt will begin."
