Chapter 5: The Blue Dragons
In the busy streets of Manehatten, everypony was going about normal business as the sound of the train was heard in the subway. Other ponies were busy walking in and out of the subway.
But while business was good, some mysterious shadowy figures zipped through the alleyways.
At a local radio station, the news was on a radio machine as ponies were busy walking into some shops and some were busy reading some newspapers, which had the words posted on the front saying 'The Silent Crime Wave At Large'.
"This is Radio Horseshoes reporting live on channel Twenty Two News. More reports of disturbances and theft in our fair city. I will now hand you over to our young interviewee volunteer, Miss Rubie Angel, who will tell us her side of the subject. Miss Angel, please tell us your thoughts on the matter." A male voice was heard on it, but it was soon replaced by a female's voice.
"Well, Mr. Horseshoes," She began, "these are obviously much more than just a series of small, isolated incidents. It's apparent that an organized criminal element is at work, and at the moment, business is good. So good, in fact, there appear to be no eyewitnesses to any of these crimes. With complaints ranging from purse-snatching to breaking and entering, police switchboards have been swamped with the angry voices of more and more citizens, who have fallen prey to the recent surge of crime that continues to plague the city."
As the voice was talking through the machine, ponies were still busy reading while unaware of their surroundings. An elder unicorn stallion was busy reading his newspaper when, unknown to him, an Earth Pony just snatched a bag of bits from his pocket and took off without being seen. Along with that, a few ponies unloaded some crates of fruits and vegetables from a cart to a restaurant owner as the unicorn chefs used their magic to lift the crates to bring them inside. Once that was done, the ponies went back to the cart, only to find the load already gone to their surprise.
"Instead of getting better, things have gotten worse. Even more alarming is the baffling and often bizarre nature of these crimes. From my research, I've found that merchandise of every size and description, any many other appliances have been disappearing from store shelves and storage areas at an alarming rate." Rubie's voice continued as ponies gathered at City Hall for complaints about the robberies.
A shadowy figure of an Earth Pony slips through the shadows with some saddlebags on his back and hands them into mid air. Then a growling sound was heard as two black hands took the bags from the Earth Pony and zipped away and the pony trots away without being caught.
"So who do you think we should rely on for help, Miss Angel?" Radio Horseshoes' voice asked.
"Who are we gonna call? Unfortunately, the police are the only ones available to help fight off what people are now calling 'The Silent Crime Wave'. But maybe the most disturbing silence is that coming from City Hall. This is Rubie Angel on channel Twenty Two News." Rubie's voice announces.
(Scene changes)
Around nightfall, Rubie Angel walked out of the radio station and headed for home.
In appearance, she was a unicorn mare with a silky mane and tail, a light blue coat, her eyes were a blue color in particular, her cutie mark had the symbol of a ying yang with a tanto blade in the middle of it, and she had a headband on her head in the color of green.
Rubie suddenly heard a soft squeak from behind her. She turned sharply and squeaked herself when she saw that rat skitter across the floor and ran past her as if it hadn't seen her at all.
She let out a breath, calming herself as she watched the rat disappear into the alleyway. She didn't hate rats; in fact she rather liked them, being one of her favorite animals. It simply surprised her.
Rubie continued on her way down the dark streets to her apartment, where she was staying for a while until she could officially buy her new house in a few weeks.
Suddenly, Rubie heard a shuffling noise behind a large white wagon near a fence to somepony's small back garden. Her curiosity took over her, and she went to investigate. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw a group of ponies with tattoos of dragons in the color of cerulean blue on their bodies as well as different types of clothing hauling various objects from fresh fruits to money they could find, and throwing them hastily inside the wagon.
One of them spotted her and gasped sharply. The others quickly turned around and saw her too, all freezing where they stood as they stared at her. A tall blonde one with a strange look in his eye and a dragon tattooed to his right side of the face casually approached her.
"Bad timing." He said, a small grin forming on his face.
Rubie took a few steps backwards.
"You're telling me, but if you don't mind, I have to go home and meet up with my husband." She replied, swallowing nervously and prepared herself to run.
Then all of a sudden a Protoquin came down and pounced on her, pinning her to the ground as she struggled to break free.
"Hey! Stop! Let me go! What do you think you're – HELP!" Rubie cried desperately as she struggled beneath their grip, but another Protoquin managed to slap a hand over her mouth, muffling her pleas.
"You can't stop the Quinkan at this rate." The lead pony of the blue tattooed dragon gang said with a smirk. "Take her to our hideout."
The Protoquin nodded in reply before they dragged Rubie off as the ponies loaded up the wagon and followed the two Quinkan soldiers.
Unknown to them, however, a figure was watching them from the shadows. He steps out to reveal a unicorn stallion with a light brown color with a military buzz cut mane and tail. He had a pair of twin sais strapped to his belt, white wrappings around his front and back hooves, a green bandana wrapped around his head with a symbol of water, his eyes were dark green, and his cutie mark had a pair of sais crossing a ying yang symbol.
"I've gotta get my wife back." The stallion said with concern before he took out a note and began writing it with his magic in the form of a dark blue aura. "To my favorite nephews and niece, Chase Young, Jade Young, and Sunray Steel. I need your help immediately…"
*Main theme*
It was a beautiful day in Ponyville as we focus on the Castle of Friendship. In the dojo, Chase was helping Nyx and Twilight with their moves.
"Looks like you guys are really getting good at this." Chase complimented the two girls, who smiled back in reply. "Pretty soon, you'll be ready to move up to the next training session."
"And we owe it all to you, my love." Twilight said to her husband with a sweet smile.
In the meantime, Jade and Sunray were practicing their blocks, but Sunray can't help but start an argument with Jade.
"What, you're fighting a guy in slow motion?" Sunray asked his older sister with a glare.
"I suppose I could do it faster if I ignored my form like you." Jade retorted.
This of course insulted Sunray.
"Oh yea? Well, ignore this form!" Sunray shouted as he launched a jump kick at his sister, who dodged and returned with a kick of her own, to which Sunray rolls under.
As the two continue their impromptu sparring session, they fail to notice their elder brother approaching them. Chase quickly puts an end to the fight by pinching the nerves in his younger siblings' necks, making them squeal in pain.
"Guys, come on. You can't always let competition get the best of you." Chase lectured as he released them. "So to put it that way, you'll have to spar two on two."
"Okay, I'll take Twilight-" Jade was about to finish when Chase cut her off.
"You will take Sunray, Jade." Chase tells his sister sternly. "You guys have to focus on working together, not competing with each other."
"So me and you against those two." Twilight asked with a curious yet mischievous smile as Nyx giggled in amusement. "Uh, isn't that a little unfair, honey?"
"What're you trying to say?" Jade asked, insulted by her sister-in-law's words.
"Let me put this delicately. We're better than you." Chase says as if it were obvious.
Insulted, Jade and Sunray quickly take their stances, but Twilight and Chase's confidence soon proves to be well placed as they effortlessly claim victory.
(Scene changes)
A little while later, they were in the library as Twilight was busy reading a book with Nyx. Jade and Sunray were still looking away from each other after their little mess up with their older brother's statement of being better than them.
"Look, guys. Twilight and I may be better fighters, but you're still an important part of this team." Chase said, trying to get his younger brother and sister to understand as he walked in before he sat on a chair to clean one of his katana swords.
"As important as you two?" Jade asks suspiciously.
Sharing a look with Twilight, Chase tries to appease his sister.
"Very important." Chase said. "We shouldn't compare ourselves, it's like apples and oranges. Even if apples were better, which they are."
He added with a smirk as Twilight giggled with Nyx. Jade and Sunray were clearly not amused.
"So the truth comes out. You guys are just saying that because we don't get along most of the time and don't always see eye to eye sometimes." Sunray said, feeling insulted.
Chase looked at his younger brother before he smiled calmly.
"That may be true, but we're a family and we don't let each other get hurt." Chase said. "Besides, there's no shame in it. Applejack and Rainbow Dash do it all the time."
"Gee, thanks for pointing out the obvious." Jade snarked with an annoyed look.
"My point is they do argue most of the time, but they're still friends." Chase said with a firm look. "You guys have to do the same if you want to cooperate."
"Uh, no thanks!" Sunray said as he crossed his hooves and turned his back from Jade.
"We're completely fine working alone." Jade added and did the same.
Chase, Twilight, and Nyx looked at the two unicorns with a look of concern. But before either one of them could, Spike came rushing into the room with a letter in his right hand.
"Chase! You, Jade, and Sunray have a letter!" Spike said as he ran over to Chase and handed him the letter, making the alicorn master take it with his magic.
As he opened it, his family came beside him to read the letter with Chase as he was the first to read it.
"To my favorite nephews and niece, Chase Young, Jade Young, and Sunray Steel." Chase read out loud. "I need your help immediately. Aunt Rubie has been taken away by a group of ponies calling themselves The Blue Dragon gang and have taken her custody. The Manehatten is falling apart from the so-called 'Silent Crime Wave' robbery they've started and are bringing the city down. I need you guys to help with this.
Love your uncle,
Zayto Amber"
Gasping, Chase dropped the note as he grew worried about this as well as Jade and Sunray. Twilight, Nyx, and Spike were confused by this.
"Guys, who exactly are the Blue Dragons?" Twilight asked with a confused look.
"The Blue Dragons are a group of criminals that are making robberies in the south part of Manehatten." Chase explained to his wife as he turned to face her. "They think they own the streets around the city."
"We gotta go find uncle Zayto and help him." Jade said with worry as a chiming sound was heard.
They looked to see not only were Chase, Jade, and Sunray's cutie marks glowing, but also Twilight's cutie mark.
They went to the throne room to see where they were heading. They looked to see their cutie marks floating on the spot of Manehatten. Chase gave a determined look.
"Alright, we got a city to save from this madness." Chase said as Jade, Sunray, and Twilight nodded in agreement.
(Scene changes)
A little while later, the four ponies were on the friendship express as they were on their way to Manehatten to find Zayto Amber.
Along the way, Twilight and Chase were sitting next to each other while Jade and Sunray were sitting on opposite ends. Twilight took notice of her husband's concerned face.
"Are you doing alright, Chase?" Twilight asked with a worried look.
Chase turned to face his wife before looking out the window.
"I'm worried about my aunt and uncle." Chase responded back. "If the Blue Dragons have them, I don't know what will happen."
Twilight nodded in understanding before she had a look of thought in her mind. She knew she had heard of Chase's uncle from before, but wanted to know more.
"Speaking of your uncle, Chase, what exactly is he like?" Twilight asked Chase, gaining his attention. "You did tell me a little about him since our Winter Wrap Up work."
"Well, Uncle Zayto and Dad have always been closer to one another. Dad was older than my uncle." Chase began to explain. "When they were only foals, they lived in Manehatten with their parents and were training under their father. Uncle Zayto was always the smart one to help Dad out with strategies in difficult situations when they were in trouble with bullies."
A flashback was shown of Santos and Zayto playing together with their parents as young kids. They were training in a dojo house by their father as Zayto was using strategies to help him and Santos to help them through difficult situations.
Twilight smiled at that.
"Sounds like your family relatives were always so close." Twilight commented sweetly.
Chase chuckled in response before he became sad.
"But that all changed one day." Chase began to explain the other part of his family history. "A long time ago when Dad and Uncle Zayto were roughly teenagers, some young punks were shaking their parents down for protection money. They called themselves the Blue Dragons. When they didn't pay, they torched down the dojo. The leader of the gang, Draco, gave my father and Uncle Zayto a warning that if they didn't pay, they won't last much longer."
A flashback was shown of a burning dojo as a gang of Blue Dragons were staring down Zayto and Santos as the leader of the gang, Draco, marched up to them.
In physical appearance, Draco was a bulky muscular Earth Pony with a black tank top, black pants, his left leg had a blue dragon tattoo in a swirly form, had a scar on his left cheek, and his eyes were burning red.
Draco stared down at the two unicorn brothers with a smirk as they glared at him hatefully.
"You two tell your old man." Draco said threateningly. "Next time pay up or else."
Then Draco roughly pushed them to the ground, making them grunt, as he and his gang marched off from the brothers as Zayto gazed at the fire with tears running down his face.
The flashback ended as Chase sheds a few tears before he wiped them away. He looked out the window again.
"And one day, their father told them that he and their mother had to go to the police so that they could stop the Silent-Crime Wave once and for all. But they didn't make it in time, Draco went behind our backs and took their parents away from my father and uncle." Chase finished his story.
Twilight looked horrified by the last part and hugged her husband with comfort, to which he returned the favor.
"Don't worry, honey." Twilight said gently. "We'll find a way to stop the Silent-Crime Wave and the Blue Dragons so we can save your relatives."
Chase looked down at his wife with worry before he smiled at her and they shared a loving nuzzle. That's when the train whistle was heard.
"Final stop: Manehatten!" The conductor announced as Chase, Twilight, Jade, and Sunray looked out the windows to see the city of Manehatten in view.
(Scene changes)
Once the four had gotten off the train, they were walking out of the train station and into the bustling streets of Manehatten.
As they walked on the sidewalk, they noticed that ponies had been on edge as the Silent-Crime Wave still spread like wildfire as some janitor ponies were busy cleaning up wrecked piles of debris.
"These ponies seem to be really nervous." Twilight said as she walked beside Chase with Jade and Sunray following behind the royal couple.
"And no doubt that the Blue Dragons are probably on to this." Chase agreed with his wife.
Then something cluttered an alleyway, making the four freeze in place as they slowly turned toward the alleyway and walked cautiously to find what the noise was.
"Hello? Anypony in there?" Chase called out.
Then suddenly from the shadows, Zayto jumped out and began to throw some punches at Chase, making him block. Then Chase caught Zayto's right hoof with both of his hooves and pinned him down. Chase was surprised to see his uncle as well as his siblings.
"Uncle Zayto?" Chase, Jade, Sunray asked in surprise.
Zayto turned to see his two nephews and niece.
"Chase? Jade? Sunray?" Zayto asked, shocked. Then he smiled at them. "It is you three!"
Chase helped his uncle up as he gave his three relatives a heart warming hug as they chuckled. Then Zayto released them and looked at them.
"It's so good to see you guys again." Zayto said as he looked at them. "You kids have grown up quite well."
Jade giggled in amusement.
"You still look more younger, Zayto." Jade remarked with a smirk as Zayto chuckled at that.
Then he turns his attention to Twilight Sparkle, who was admiring the scene with a smile on her face. He walked up to her.
"And you must be Chase's wife, Twilight Sparkle." Zayto greeted as he extended his hoof for a hoofshake. "It's wonderful to meet my niece-in-law."
Twilight accepted it and shook his hoof with her uncle-in-law with a smile.
"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Zayto." Twilight greeted back as well as Chase walked over to his uncle with a look of concern.
"Uncle Zayto, where's Aunt Rubie?" Chase asked, wanting to know where Aunt Rubie was.
Zayto looked at his eldest nephew with a serious look on his face.
"Follow me." Zayto said as he led them out of the alleyway.
(Scene changes)
They arrived at the spot where he last saw Rubie being taken away from the Blue Dragons. The area was still a little messy.
"The Blue Dragons were here when your aunt was taken away by them." Zayto began to explain as Twilight and Chase were observing the place. "She tried to fight them, but they were too strong to handle. Then all of a sudden, the Quinkan soldiers came."
That got the royal couple worried now.
"But what do they want with Rubie?" Twilight asked with concern.
"I don't know, this is as far as I could get." Zayto replied back.
Then some grunting was heard as they turned to see Jade and Sunray arguing while doing a tug of war with a broken piece of wood.
"Give me that! I found it first!" Jade said, annoyingly.
"No way! I found it so I can get a look at it!" Sunray snapped.
"Guys!" Chase said sternly, getting their attention. "When ninjas are on surveillance, they are supposed to be silent!"
"Sorry, Chase." Jade said sheepishly. "We'll fight quieter."
Then she and Sunray glared at each other again before they continued their tug of war, but Twilight blasted a beam of magic at the piece of wood away from the two unicorns. They both turned to see the alicorn mare giving them a look telling them not to be annoying.
Sunray groaned as he approached the three.
"We're wasting our time, maybe the Blue Dragons are not gonna come." Sunray said, impatiently.
"Have a little patience, Sunray." Zayto said to his youngest nephew with a firm look. "They won't be able to stop by to steal more valuable stuff if you don't keep your voice down."
"Yeah, you should think straight with that bad attitude of yours." Jade added as she approached her younger brother, who looked offended by this.
"Me?! If having them drop a building on our heads doesn't convince you, we should stay out of this, I don't know what will!" Sunray argued.
"And since when do you run from a fight, Sunray?" Jade asked, not phased at all by her brother's attitude towards her.
"First, I ain't running. Second, I don't even know why the map also sent you with us!" Sunray replied back, irritated as Chase, Twilight, and Zayto watched them fight.
"Yeah?! Well guess what! Maybe you shouldn't have come along with us, hothead!" Jade houted, now turning it into a louder argument.
"Who you calling hothead?!" Sunray roared.
Despite sharing these feelings, Chase, Twilight, and Zayto knew they had to focus on their mission, but Chase's siblings wouldn't be distracted as they continued to argue with each other. Their yelling doesn't go unnoticed by the Blue Dragons watching them from behind.
"I don't care what you think of me, Sunray!" Jade snapped, angrily. "I am older than you and you can't always do things your way on your own!"
"Try me!" Sunray retorted, but before he could, a member of the Blue Dragons came in and knocked Sunray aside.
"Uh oh! The Blue Dragons!" Zayto said in alarm as the Blue Dragons surrounded the five.
"Way to blow our position, guys!" Chase said angrily to his younger brother and sister before he and the rest of his family got on the offense as they lit their horns so they could stand on their hind legs as aura hands appeared on each of their front respective hooves.
"Well, lookie what we got here." One of the members said tauntingly. "Long time no see, Zayto. And looks like you brought the rest of your family here."
"Where is Rubie?!" Zayto demanded with a glare.
"Let's just say she's instorage." One of the members replied back smugly. "Get 'em!"
They all then charged at each other as Chase and Twilight jumped into the air, performing some roundhouse kicks to some of the Blue Dragons as they fell on their backs.
Zayto dodged a few punches from three Blue Dragon members before he punched one away and doubled kicked the last two aside.
Sunray charged at one of the members, kicked him to the side, avoided a kick from another before punching him aside, and landed a solid blow from his staff, knocking five aside.
While that was happening, Zayto was battling against four other Blue Dragon members as he was unaware of one approaching him from behind. He swift kicked the four away, but then the other member snuck up behind him and punched him aside against a brick wall, knocking him unconscious.
Chase was the first to notice.
"Uncle!" Chase shouted in horror as the leader of the Blue Dragons grabbed him hostage and ran off.
"Oh no you don't!" Sunray shouted as he charged for the Blue Dragon leader.
"I got him!" Jade said as she charged as well, but both got into each other's throats again.
"Hey, I'm doing it!" Sunray shouted.
"I got this, Sunray!" Jade snapped back, but then the Blue Dragons punched them away, sending them into Chase and Twilight.
They fell on their backs and noticed the Blue Dragons got away. Jade and Sunray got up, only to come face to face with an angry Chase Young.
"Nice going, guys!" Chase shouted angrily.
"What did we do?!" Sunray and Jade said in unison.
"What did you do?!" Chase repeated angrily. "You left the two of us in the middle of the fight to stop the Blue Dragons! Now, thanks to you guys getting at each other's throats again, Uncle Zayto has been taken by those goons! So how are we supposed to follow them?!"
It was then Twilight noticed that somehow a trail was heading into the direction to the right side. She noticed that it had a dark blue source of magic in it.
"Wait, we don't have to worry about anything!" Twilight said with a grin. "Look! Zayto left a trail behind!"
"Alright!" Chase said, happily. "We can follow the trail to their hideout!"
"And then we'll bash some punks!" Sunray said, eagerly.
"And save our family!" Jade added.
But instead of agreeing with his brother and sister, Chase glared at them, leaving them confused by this.
"What?" Sunray asked, confused.
"We are going to bash the Blue Dragons." Chase corrected his younger brother and sister, firmly. "You guys are going home."
"What?! Are you kidding?!" Sunray asked in disbelief. "Come on, Twilight! Are we really gonna let Chase power troop like this?"
Twilight didn't answer her younger brother-in-law's question. She agreed with her husband as this was the best for Jade and Sunray.
"No. Chase is right, guys." Twilight responded back. "You guys have gotta learn to work together."
"And until then, we just can't trust you two." Chase said as he and Twilight turned to follow the trail to find the Blue Dragons' hideout. "Sorry, guys."
Once the royal couple had disappeared, Sunray angrily slammed his bo staff to the ground with a loud grunt while Jade just said nothing and stood still.
(Scene changes)
In the Castle of Friendship, Sunray was still venting out over what Chase and Twilight said to him and Jade. Jade was in the dojo with him as well as she sat in the corner with a look of guilt.
"I don't care what Chase says!" Sunray said, angrily. "So what if we don't work together?! We're still the best when we're working all together as a bigger team, in fact if anything, we have the girls, Clay, Sokka, Trini, and Antonio in our team to help us!"
He turns his attention to his sister, who was still feeling guilty for jeopardizing the mission.
"Come on, Jade!" Sunray said, getting Jade's attention as she was still guilty. "You don't really think you're just gonna sit there and think of what we did, do you?"
"Sunray, don't you think you feel a little responsible for what we did?" Jade remarked. "Maybe Chase was right about this. We have to start working together to focus on protecting our family. Besides, Chase and Twilight understand us when we have flaws."
"I understand you guys too." Nyx said as she came in after hearing the discussion as Sunray and Jade turned to their niece.
"Seriously, Nyx." Sunray said in annoyance. "Don't you know when not to get into adult talk? You gotta knock or something."
"It doesn't matter, Uncle Sunray." Nyx said firmly. "Mom and Dad need you both to realize that by working together, you guys are unstoppable. But when you're working alone, you're vulnerable."
Jade turned to Nyx with a look of shame.
"Well, you sure know when to have words of wisdom." Jade remarked.
"That's because I know what it's like to work alone." Nyx answered, surprising the two unicorns in the process. "Let me tell you guys a story that I once told Chase and Twilight."
"Nyx, I'm not in the mood for a story." Sunray said, looking to the side.
"Jade, are you in the mood for a story?" Nyx asked her aunt.
"Well, as long as it's short, I'm okay with it." Jade responded back glumly.
"Okay." Nyx said as she began to explain. "When I lived in a different part of Equestria a thousand years ago, when Princess Celestia banished Luna after she turned into Nightmare Moon-"
"Wait, a thousand years?" Sunray asked in shock. "You don't even look very old at the time!"
"That's because I was trapped in a Quinkan crystal a long time ago." Nyx responded back, feeling irritated that her uncle interrupted her. "Now sit down and listen!"
Sunray sighed as he sat down.
"I was with my biological family at a training camp to stop the Quinkan war." Nyx further explained. "But I wasn't the only one who wanted to help my royal family to end those monsters. There was another pony trying to compete with me for leader. And his name was Zach Silvercentry. One day my dad told us that we should work together to stop Zhao from terrorizing the world, but we disagreed with that. We never got along well since we were on missions with our team. Then that soon changed when Zhao invaded our training ground and destroyed our best soldiers and one that became Zach's life. I felt guilty for pushing my limits when he was at Zhao's mercy until that Quinkan monster destroyed my family and I lost everything."
As Nyx explained, a flashback was seen of her with her royal family. There were two alicorns that would believe to be her biological mother and father. Then another flashback showed Nyx was training to help stop the Quinkan war once and for all when she encountered a unicorn colt with a mulberry color coat, blue eyes, blue bandana, brown wrappings around his front and back hooves, and his cutie mark presented a katana sword. They argued who would be incharge of stopping Zhao after disagreeing with Nyx's father and getting at each other's throats until the Quinkan came, destroying everything in sight as well as turning Zach to stone. Then Zhao took Nyx's parents away and held her prisoner.
The flashback ended as Nyx had her eyes closed with shame and regret from the past experience. Sunray and Jade were speechless about her history with Zach and the Quinkan.
"But, it wasn't your fault, Zach was getting on your nerves because he was jealous of you taking the responsibility of being a leader. You didn't have a choice." Sunray said, trying to not make his niece feel bad, but it didn't do any good.
"No choice?" Nyx asked her uncle with a glare. "I could've chosen to heed my father's advice. I could've at least accepted what was best for the team. But Zach and I became rivals with each other before he was in Zhao's grasp."
She walks up to her aunt and uncle firmly as they gazed at her.
"That's the choice I made long ago." Nyx said with a low but stern voice. "What choice will you guys make?"
Nyx soon walks away as Sunray and Jade begin to think about what their niece said to them. Then Sunray became guilty and finally understood what Nyx said to them both, and so did Jade.
(Scene changes)
Meanwhile at an abandoned warehouse in Manehatten, which would happen to be the Blue Dragons' hideout, Zayto was then tossed into a cage as he grunted in pain. He struggled to get up, save for the pain he had received in bruises from the Blue Dragons.
"Zayto?" A voice was heard, making him turn around to see Angel sitting in the corner looking at Zayto in surprise. "Zayto! It is you!"
"Angel!" Zayto shouted with joy as he hugged his wife in relief. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, I am." Angel assured her husband as they broke apart. "But what are you doing here?"
"I was captured by Draco's goons." Zayto explained. "I contacted Chase, Jade, Sunray, and Twilight to come and help us end the Silent-Crime Wave."
"Wait, Chase and his siblings are here?" Angel asked in surprise.
"Yes they are, and so is our niece-in-law." Zayto responded back with a smile before he returned his attention to the cage. "We've gotta get out of here and quick."
Zayto tried to rip the bars off, but no luck and he stopped.
"Listen up hairballs! It's gonna take a lot more than chains to bring down Zayto Amber! You hear me?! I won't rest until every last one of you dragon clowns is is behind bars or pushing up daisies!" Zayto shouted angrily.
Then laughter was heard as a bulky Earth Pony entered the room and stood in front of the cage the unicorn couple were locked in. They instantly recognised him as he revealed to be none other than Draco and he now wore a black sleeveless shirt.
"Draco." Zayto snarled angrily.
"Big words, Zayto. Have I ever tell you how much fun I had burning down you and Santos' parents' dojo when you two were kids?" Draco taunted with a grin.
"At least we had a family from before, punk!" Zayto sneered.
Draco then grabbed Zayto by the chest and hoisted him in the air.
"Laugh now sucker! Because tonight the dragons are having a little smack down contest and you're the prize." Draco said and he threw Zayto to the ground. "Whoever wins gets to wax your sorry once and for all."
He then left the room and shut the door.
"What are we going to do now, honey?" Angel asked her husband with worry.
"Don't worry, sweetie." Zayto assured his wife. "Chase and his family will come to our rescue. We just need to be sure they will be here any minute."
(Scene changes)
In Draco's office, the Blue Dragon leader had just entered the room and closed the door. He looked out the window to view.
"Soon, this city will belong to the master once we have all of the stuff to eradicate the area for a training ground." Draco said statistically.
Then a growl was heard as he turned to see some Protoquin soldiers approaching him from behind. He brought a potion as it chimed, signaling a call for Draco.
"Answer it, now." Draco ordered as the Protoquin dumped the contents into a bowl as smoke appeared in it and rose up.
In the center of the smoke, Zhao made his appearance.
"Master Zhao." Draco bowed to the Quinkan leader with respect. "We have gathered more than enough materials for you to own the city of Manehatten."
"Excellent. I am impressed, Draco." Zhao said with satisfaction before he added firmly. "But I need almost everything in my power to own every place in Equestria one by one. I have come this close to begin my invasion once more, and I don't want any more of that fool Chase Young trying to interfere with me again. I have kept more than enough prizes very well hidden from him and the rest of his family."
Draco looked at Zhao with a calm smile.
"Don't worry, master. We already have two family members down in the cellar ready for the Biggest Cage Match event. We will deal with them soon enough." Draco assured his master.
Zhao stared back at Draco for a moment before he closed his eyes for a few minutes. Then he opened them as he looked directly at the Blue Dragon leader.
"Very well. Be done with them however you can and use them as bait to lure Chase and Twilight into a trap." Zhao said, directly ordering Draco. "Nopony will stop us in our quest to reclaim victory. We will own this city and this water no matter what the cost."
Then Zhao disappeared through the smoke as the mist died down as well, completely vanishing the illusion of Zhao.
(Scene changes)
Outside in the streets, Chase and Twilight climbed down a metal ladder, jumped into a crouch. They silently moved in and looked behind a corner to see the view of the Blue Dragon hideout.
"There's the hideout." Chase said to his wife as they studied it carefully.
Twilight was still feeling a little bad for leaving Jade and Sunray behind, but she knew that was their punishment for getting at each other's throats.
"Honey, you know, not to sound pushy or anything, but are we really gonna do this without your brother and sister?" Twilight asked Chase with concern as he turned to face his wife.
"Don't worry, we can handle this, Twilight." Chase assured Twilight with a gentle but firm look.
Then they slowly and stealthy made their way around a narrow pathway and hid behind a dumpster. They watched a few members giving a salute to the guard indicating it was the way to get inside.
"Twilight, do you think you know a spell that can disguise ourselves as one of the Blue Dragons?" Chase asked Twilight as she eyed the guard before she gave a slight smirk, having an idea for the job.
(Scene changes)
At the gate, the guard was still keeping a look out before he set his eyes on something. He spotted Twilight and Chase, now dressed up like Blue Dragon members with the same tattoos and having a different mane style. Twilight had her mane in a ponytail style, she wore a black vest, which she hid her wings in it, and wore shorts to hid her cutie mark. Chase had his mane in a spiky hair position, wore a black t-shirt to hide his wings, and white shorts to hide his cutie mark.
They gave a salute to the guard and he responded back with a salute as well. Then the disguised couple walked in.
"Well, honey." Chase said to his wife. "You never cease to amaze me."
Twilight giggled.
"Thanks, honey." Twilight said as they entered inside to see a ring match going on as all of the members of the Blue Dragons cheered on as some members were fighting in the arena. They stood by some bleachers and looked around as the crowd gathered in excitement.
"Do you think Zayto and Angel might be in here?" Twilight whispered with concern.
"Yeah, I have a feeling they could be." Chase whispered to his wife. "But right now let's try to be cool and blend in. If we really want to be a Blue Dragon? Try having your butt kicked by some ponies with jiu jitsu skills."
"I'm down with that." Twilight agreed as they bumped fists with each other before they focused on the arena, which was done.
A cage suddenly lowered down onto the ring and standing in the middle of it was Draco with a microphone. The crowd cheered for their leader. Draco raised his left hoof to silence them so he could speak.
"That's gotta be Draco." Chase said to his wife, who looked at Draco in surprise.
"Yeah, he's as big as Kai." Twilight commented.
"Tonight's cage match championship will determine which team will have the honour of ridding the Purple Dragons of their most hated enemy! Zayto Amber!" Draco announced.
Then they lowered Zayto down who was hanging upside down on some sort of metal x with his hooves cuffed to it and the crowd recognises who he was and started cheering again.
"Oh no! Uncle Zayto!" Chase said with worry before he became angry and pulled out one of his katana swords. "Lousy thugs! I got your most hated enemy right here!"
But Twilight stopped him.
"Easy, Chase!" Twilight said in a quiet stern voice. "Let's not blow our cover just yet."
Draco then exited the ring as they raised Zayto back up to the roof as Angel was there, all chained up to prevent escaping.
Another Blue Dragon then announced over the mic.
"Who's ready to battle it out for a shot at the brother of Santos Blaze?!" He announced.
The crowd cheered and about three to four Blue Dragons entered the ring entering the contest.
"Come on! Come on! There's gotta be more takers than that! The honor of the dragon is at stake!" The announcer shouted.
"How are we gonna get him down from there?" Twilight asked. "Sweetie, any ideas?"
Chase looked to see Angel with two other Blue Dragon members and saw the controls.
"You goto the catwalk where the controls should be." Chase instructed. "I'll make sure that spotlight stays on the cage."
Twilight nodded before she kissed her husband on the cheek.
"Just be careful, okay?" Twilight asked with worry.
Chase nodded as they went into their separate directions to do their jobs in order to free Chase's aunt and uncle. Twilight went to free Zayto and Angel while Chase went to the cage.
"I hope this will work." Chase said to himself. "I better do some more training on working better ways to get out of these situations for my family."
"A new initiate has entered the competition!" The other member announced. The other contestants chuckled as they cracked their knuckles and ready their weapons as the announcer finished, "Let's show him how the Purple Dragons treat newbies!"
Meanwhile above them on the catwalk, Twilight pulled out her tessen fan and stuck within the shadows as she saw two guards watching over Zayto and Angel at the controls.
"I just have to take out those goons without drawing too much attention." Twilight whispered. "I just need an idea." Twilight looked around and then smirked as she saw the spotlight. "Yeah, a really big idea."
Meanwhile down below in the cage, Chase continued to take out the other contestants using his skills. He leapt onto the cage and then moved out of the way just as one Blue Dragon charged after him and allowed him to crash into the bars and knock himself out. Then he ducked out of the way as one of them tried to hit him in the head with a baseball bat and then kicked him in the stomach. Chase then dodged left and right avoiding the chain that was trying to hit him by the Blue Dragon, Chase then swept his leg causing him to fall backwards and before he could get up, Chase kicked him down again and then knocked him out with a punch to the face.
"Man, these guys just don't know when to quit." Chase said to himself as he got on the offense.
Back at the catwalk, the two guards who were watching Zayto and Angel suddenly heard a noise. They turned to see Twilight in the spotlight next to them.
"Hey, guys! Lights on!" Twilight shouted.
She suddenly turned the spotlight on them and turned it on, shining the bright light in their eyes causing them to cringe. They both turned to get out of the bright light only to get whacked in their heads by the Princess of Friendship herself. She smirked at them before she reverted back to her alicorn form.
"Lights out." Twilight said, teasingly.
"Twilight!" Zayto whispered in joy to see his niece-in-law. "Thanks for dropping by."
"We can't leave any family members behind." Twilight assured her uncle-in-law before she reached behind her and brought a pair of twin sais as well as a tanto. "I got you guys a little present for each of you."
Zayto and Angel smiled at the sight of one of their favorite weapons.
Back below the crowd continued to cheer as Draco watched the match.
Chase ran from one of the Blue Dragons and then slid under the feet of one coming towards him, causing the two Dragons to knock into each other hard. He quickly got up and blocked some strikes from his opponents.
Suddenly before Chase could deliver a punch, he was grabbed by one of the Blue Dragons and thrown around until he suddenly was tossed at bars, reverting back to his alicorn form in the process. The crowd stopped cheering and started roaring in anger.
"Hey! It's one of them kung fu ponies!" One of the members said.
"Oh no!" Draco said as he instantly recognised Chase.
Chase got back up on his hooves and saw the crowd booing at him. He realized he was no longer a member and was back to his original alicorn form.
"Oh man! This is just great! What's next?" Chase complained as Draco ripped the cage door open and entered the ring glaring at the alicorn master with a bitter smirk.
"I had to ask, didn't I?" Chase remarked in annoyance, igniting his horn and stood on his hind legs while aura hands appeared on his front hooves as Draco approached him.
"Well, what do we have here?" Draco mocked. "So you're alicorn Master Chase Young."
"Yeah, don't you know an alicorn when you see one?" Chase retorted angrily. "You're gonna pay for what you did to my father and uncle's dojo house when they were kids!"
"We'll see about that!" Draco retorted.
Draco suddenly grabbed Chase with his large hooves and slammed him against the cage bars, holding him there. Then he punched Chase in the chest a few times, making the alicorn master grunt in pain. Then Chase kicked Draco's hoof away, jumped out of his grasp, on to his shoulders and then whacked him hard in the ears, causing him to yelp as he held his head in pain.
"DRAGONS! GET HIM!" One of the members shouted as all the Blue Dragons charged at the ring, ready to fight and take out Chase.
However, before they could even think of getting into the cage, a couple of throwing stars were thrown at the ground and then they somehow exploded, filling the room with smoke. They all stood up, but in the smoke filled room the sounds of three Blue Dragon members being pulled down and they yelped as they were punched and kicked right out of the smoke cloud. Emerging from the smoke with a smile on their faces was none other than Jade and Sunray, returning to help their older brother and sister-in-law to end the Silent-Crime Wave once and for all.
"Hey, Chase. Miss us?" Jade asked her brother with a smile.
"Jade! Sunray!" Chase exclaimed in surprise and happiness.
Then the Blue Dragons immediately charged into battle.
"I thought you guys were still at home after I sent you two to think about what you have done to work as a team." Chase said as he charged into battle.
"Well we calmed down, thought about it and realized we were…" Sunray began to say as he dodged a crowbar of a Blue Dragon. He flipped backwards, kicking the member in the chin and knocked him back before finishing, "Being idiots."
"You guys did that all by yourselves?" Chase remarked with a smirk, a little impressed as he jumped over and whacked another one of the members in the face.
"Well…." Jade started before jumping back and split-punching a Blue Dragon member in the chin and finished, "We kinda had a little help from Nyx."
Chase blinked in surprise before smiled, feeling proud of his daughter.
Then some more Blue Dragon members began to approach the three, ready to take them out. But before they could enter the ring, Twilight, Angel, and Zayto landed in front of them and their weapons out blocking them from entering the cage.
"Sorry, boys!" Zayto said. "Pony appreciation day is next weekend!"
The Blue Dragons charged at them, but Jade and Twilight took out the group that charged at them in just a few whacks with their weapons. Chase kicked Draco in the stomach several times followed by Sunray side-kicking him in the ribs but the large muscular Earth Pony wouldn't go down no matter how hard they hit him.
"Do us a favour, be a cooperative little mountain and just go…." Sunray began but was cut off when suddenly Draco slammed his huge fists and punched Sunray right into the cage bar.
"Sunray!" Chase shouted in alarm before he glared at Draco as he approached the alicorn stallion.
"When I'm done with you, I will personally bring you to Master Zhao." Draco declared sinisterly. "And you will have no more dealings with the Quinkan army anymore."
"So I guess you guys have sided with Zhao, huh?" Chase remarked. "Well he's gotta be about the only monster I hate more than you Draco."
Draco responded back by trying to punch Chase in the face, but the alicorn master grabbed the muscular pony's arm and flipped him over on to the ground.
"And you owe me and my family a new dojo house, Fatso!" Chase added angrily, remembering what Draco did to his father and uncle before he got on the offense.
Draco growled and tried to grab Chase, but he quickly flew in the air and fired a few magic blasts at Draco, who dodged them easily. But then Draco got blasted in the back followed by a kick. Then Twilight jumped in the air and sliced a large piece of metal that was hanging on the roof which landed right on top of Draco and knocked him down to the ground as Twilight landed on all fours behind Draco.
Chase appeared beside his wife. Draco growled as he got back and threw the metal, hitting all two of them dead on and knocking them to the ground.
"Looks like our bro and his wife could use a hoof or two." Jade said.
"Well, what're we waiting for?" Sunray asked his sister with a smirk. "Let's show that muscle bound idiot what real teamwork is all about!"
Then Sunray and Jade ran into the cage and jumped in the air and both of them kicked Draco to the floor. Draco however merely growled and got back up.
"Don't look now, but Tiny still wants to dance!" Chase shouted.
Draco grabbed the bottom of the cage and ripped it all apart, causing it to fall apart and land on top of the two unicorns and the royal couple, crushing them a bit. They all groaned and suddenly Draco grabbed Chase's katana swords from his straps and raised them to finish them off.
He stopped when he felt somepony tap his shoulder and turned to see Zayto and Angel behind him, glaring at him sternly.
"Leave our family alone!" Zayto shouted as he whacked Draco in the stomach with the handle of his sais which knocked him right into the bleachers.
"Take that, Draco!" Angel shouted tauntingly, but then the victory was short when the warehouse was starting to fall.
"Come on, let's get outta here!" Chase shouted as the six made a dash for it right out of the warehouse just as it collapsed to the ground, crushing the Blue Dragons in the process.
After the dust cleared away, the Blue Dragons weakly emerged from the rubble as Draco bursted out of the rubble with rage.
"Chase, I'll get you for this!" Draco shouted angrily.
(Scene changes)
On a rooftop high above the streets of Manehattan, Chase and his family were chatting with each other.
"I can't thank you four enough for helping us stop the Silent-Crime Wave and getting Angel back." Zayto said to his two nephews, niece, and niece-in-law. "You guys have made us all proud. Your folks would even be proud of you too."
"Thanks, uncle Zayto." Chase said as he and his siblings smiled at their uncle and aunt. "We were glad to come."
Angel and Zayto smiled before they noticed something on their flanks.
"Hey, guys, are your cutie marks glowing?" Angel asked her family members.
Chase, Twilight, Sunray, and Jade looked down to see their cutie marks glowing while they made a chiming sound, signaling that their friendship mission was complete. They smiled at one another.
"I guess that means our mission is accomplished." Twilight said to her family proudly.
"Well, we have to get going now." Chase said to his aunt and uncle. "Will you guys keep in touch with us soon enough?"
"Sure, buddy." Zayto said to his eldest nephew. "We will. And don't worry, we'll find our way back home. After all, we're trained ninjas."
Zayto and Angel waved goodbye before they jumped from rooftop to rooftop for home. Chase and his family waved goodbye to them in return. Chase then had something to say to Sunray and Jade.
"You guys did good today." Chase said to his little brother and sister. "Sorry about before."
"Don't worry, Chase." Jade said with a smile. "You and Twilight were just worried about us. We have learned a lot thanks to Nyx."
"I can see how well we've trained our little girl, honey." Twilight said to her husband with a giggle.
"Yeah." Chase agreed. "Well, come on. Let's go home."
"Yeah!" Sunray said in agreement with a smile. "I'm all down with that!"
"I gotta tell you both." Jade added. "Home never sounded so good."
Soon the four made their way down the rooftop and went to the train station for home.
