A/N: This is the challenge Zarya gave on her profile. I read it and was like "ZOMG" So here I am, writing it. And having fun. So, why don't you take a look and give it a try?

Disclaimer: I own NOTHING. Except, in my own fantasies, Riku.

He smiled, watching the sun go down on the horizon. It was getting blue teeth and a blue tongue after eating blueberry water-ice, or being able to laugh at yourself when you tripped, or dancing in the rain with your bathing suit and socks on. That unexplainable feeling of sillyness that just took over, the one you couldn't shake off no matter what the circumstances. It was a kind of relaxing sense of being, when you knew you were exactly where you wanted to be. And despite all the tragic things that had happened, you still can sit back and remember all the good points in it.

Every cloud has a silver lining, and every story has a happy ending. Though, the closing may not exactly be what had been planned in the beginning, there was always something to be optimistic about. That was just who he was, always looking for the finer things in life. Finding the light in the dark, discovering the good points in a bad situation. That's how he lived.

With his heart, and not his head.

Because when you got to thinking too much, you miss out on a lot. He didn't plan out what he wanted to be, who he wanted do be associated with, he took whatever life threw at him with a simple grin and a shrug of his shoulders. But that doesn't mean he wasn't human, there was still times when he wanted to give up, where he just wanted to forget about saving the worlds and just quit. Times when he wanted to stop being the hero and be normal again. Because no one was perfect and everyone had faults. People could tell him that he was brave, and that they were awed about how fearless he was. And he could sit there, listening to them coo, and lie. Or he could admit that sometimes he got scared, wary, lost hope.

They could relate, they all had felt the same way one time or another.

So, there were times of doubt and there were times of depression phases. But there were things that kept him going; wanting to find his friends, his home, and finding new friends, exploring new worlds. He found the best in the worst situation. That didn't mean he couldn't be sad, or that he couldn't worry, but that moment of hollowness was soon replaced by renewed strength with the support of good friends, and high hopes.

He wasn't perfect, he still got angry, he still got hurt, but that didn't mean he'd die over it. In some incoherent way, maybe he WAS a hero. A true hero. But to the simplest of that word, he was just doing what was right.

Yeah, things could be rough, and yeah, life sometimes could take all your hard work and spit it back at you with dreadful results. But things got better, and there was always something to be grateful about at the end of an adventure.

The sun finally set, it was dark now, and he was still grinning. Because he knew the sun would come up tomorrow, and as cliche as it sounds, it's what kept him going. Knowing that there was always something good to come out of a bad situation. Whether it's finding love, or realization of the whole tale.

It was just like getting blue teeth from blueberry water-ice, or being able to laugh at yourself, or dancing in the pouring rain with your socks on- -That silly little feeling you couldn't shake off.

A/N: Wow, I actually LIKED this. Shocking, huh? It shows a mature innocence to Sora (yes, that's who this is about in case you couldn't figure it out. Though it's obvious) that I really like.
