Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or the lyrics

Number four Privet Drive was quiet and still under the predawn light. Everything was quiet until an alarm clock in the smallest bedroom went off, the radio playing softly. The young boy sleeping in the bed next to it whimpered and rolled over in his sleep. Not able to wake up. He whimpered more as the nightmares swirled around him. Faces danced in and out of his view with the lyrics. A man with unruly black hair and glasses, the spitting image of Harry, and a woman with beautiful red hair smiled and spoke wordlessly to him in his dreams. Their eyes were sad, but full of love and concern.

Sunny days seem to hurt the most
Wear the pain like a heavy coat
I feel you everywhere I go
See your smile, I see your face
I hear you laughing in the rain
Still can't believe your gone
.

He rolled over again murmuring incoherently as more faces drifted into his mind drifted more. This time a strong man's face joined the couple faces. He had long black hair, and deep haunted eyes. His smile off set the look of long fought torture from his face. He also mouth wordlessly to Harry as the song continued to weave in an out of his dreams.

It ain't fair you died to young
Like a story that had just begun
But death tore the pages all away
God knows how I miss you
All the hell that I've been through
Just knowing, no one could take your place
Sometimes I wonder, who you'd be today.

These kind faces were joined with a young man's face. This boy smiled happily at Harry and shook his head at the tears that were beginning to come to his eyes. He began to try to speak to Harry but no sound came out.

Would you see the world?
Would you chase your dreams?
Settle down with a family?
I wonder, what would you name your babies.

This time an older man, with a long crooked nose, twinkling blue eyes and a grandfatherly smile joined the group. He patted Harry's dream hand and gave him an encouraging look. He didn't open his mouth to speak, but somehow Harry knew that he was telling him everything would be okay.

Someday's the sky's so blue
I feel like I can talk to you
and I know it might sound crazy.

This time Harry reached for them, but they seemed to float away, fading. He fought against the unseen force that seemed to be holding him back. He cried out wordlessly to them, tears streaming down his face.

Today… today… today………..

Today… Today….. today……

Sunny days seem to hurt the most
I wear the pain like a heavy coat
The only thing that gives me hope
Is I know, I'll see you again someday

A head was nestling Harry's hand. He whimpered more before opening his eyes. He sat up and looked down at Hedwig, his snowy owl, hooting softly at him, then turning to the cage. Harry followed her gaze and saw a beautiful gold a red phoenix perched upon Hedwig's cage. Being held steady by its talons was a sword. One that Harry knew too well. His snowy owl soared into her cage. He stood, slipped on his glasses, crossed to the phoenix. He stroked his head as he picked up the sword and whispered looking at the Pheonixe. " Someday… someday"
