Meetings and discussions…
Lirlia waited for a person to show up outside her room, just like Bly told her by pressing that button. She adjusts her armor when she heard a sound in the air. 'Could be the door.' She thought and went to the door and opened it. Outside was Ayla Secura.
"You called, Lirlia?" She said smiling.
"Yeah. I... finished gathering my thoughts. I have many questions and I need the answers for them. Urgently." Lirlia said.
"Well, I was going to the medical bay. Want to join me? I'll answer as many of your questions as I can."
"Ok." Lirlia said and the two of them started walking towards the medical bay. As they walked, Lirlia asked all sorts of questions, some which Ayla found a bit difficult to answer.
"So, what Jedi do?" Was one of Lirlia's questions.
"Well, we protect peace across the galaxy. We use the Force to guide us and to help other people."
"The Force? What is that?" Lirlia asked, taking Ayla off guard.
"Um... how do I explain this to you?" Ayla said to herself looking up before looking to Lirlia. "The Force is an energy field created by life that binds the galaxy together. It provides those sensitive to it different abilities and power. There are two sides, the Light Side and the Dark Side. Each side provides with different abilities. We Jedi harness the power of the Light Side, fighting the dark and the evil."
"So... those metallic beings... serve the dark side and are evil?" Lirlia asked.
"They serve their dark leader, yes. You could say that they serve the dark side. And evil are the generals and their leader." Ayla answered.
"And if I serve the dark side, but I do no evil?" Lirlia suddenly asked.
"What?" Ayla asked.
"Think of it. You said that the Force got two sides. And you also said that each side have different abilities. Would I be evil if I use the abilities of he Dark side to do good instead of evil?"
That caught Ayla off guard, not knowing what to say. "I... I'm not sure. I never thought of that before." She admitted.
"That's ok. I was learned to see beyond what I was seeing and hearing. That's one of the reasons why I'm considered the best Hunter of my home. Because of that, I was able to defeat hard monsters that were going to left chaos in the ecosystems." Lirlia said. Before any of them could say something else, they heard voices coming from inside a room.
"But why do I have to stay back in the Temple? I want to go with you, Master." Came Ahsoka's voice.
"You need to finish your studies. Also, I have to give the Council the report." Anakin answered.
"Can't I just help you with the report?"
"Maybe you could." Ayla said opening the door and entering with Lirlia. There they saw Anakin sitting on the bed and Ahsoka standing.
"Greetings." Lirlia said.
"Hi." Ahsoka said.
"Hello, Lirlia. Feeling better now?" Anakin asked.
"A bit. I have some questions that need answers. Jedi Ayla was answering some of them." She said.
"Please, call us by our names, Lirlia. And we will answer the questions we can." Ayla said.
"Um... ok, Ayla." Lirlia said.
"What do you need answers to?" Anakin asked.
Lirlia then proceeded to ask about the surroundings and what they do. The three Jedi answered those questions slowly as to not overwhelm Lirlia, feeling that she'd pass from shock. As they explained to her that they are in war, her face showed more and more shock.
"So... because some political problems... you are at war." She said slowly, making an effort to understand, scratching her head with her left hand.
"Indeed. And as you saw earlier, we fight for freedom and piece." Ayla said.
"But... why do you truly fight? If it's space, where the stars are, then you shouldn't be in war. As far as my understanding goes, in space you have more territory than on... planets is the word?" She asked.
The Jedi nodded, and Ahsoka added.
"True that we have a lot of territory, but the Separatist wants to destroy the Republic. So we are fighting to protect our home."
"Ok... I can understand that... at least some part. I'm still in shock as to why I'm even here."
"Well, since this is confusing you more, how about you tell us more about your home?" Anakin said.
"What do you want to know?" Lirlia said, laying on the door frame.
"Like, what is what you do, for example." He answered.
"Well, as I said to Jedi- I mean, Ayla, I hunt monsters that threaten my home, or for investigation."
"Never thought of someone that Hunt 'monsters' for a living." Ahsoka said.
"Well, I do, Ahsoka. And as I said, I hunt for either to protect or to investigate. Mostly the first latter."
"What about your armor and weapon?" Anakin asked.
"After each hunt, I got materials that can be used to craft armor sets and weapons. Each armor give you different kind of useful abilities that can be boost or added new ones by placing decorations on the armor and weapons if they have the slots."
"Interesting." Ayla said.
"Ca you show us how you use your gun?" Anakin suddenly said.
"Um... I don't think that now should be a good time. Maybe later." Lirlia said.
"I think that my Master meant to show us your gun when we are back to the Jedi Temple." Ahsoka said,
"Maybe I will." Lirlia said.
"By the way Lirlia. There are people who wish to speak with you when we are back." Ayla said.
"I'm not sure if I want to talk with strangers, but sure. As long as I am not forced to do something."
"Don't worry about that." Anakin said.
The rest of the travel continued with the Jedi teaching Lirlia about the Jedi, the Republic, the Sith when she asked about them, the clones. They even showed Lirlia how to Force works.
"Wow. Not even in my craziest dreams I could think of the ability to move objects around." She said.
"Any Force sensitive can do it. That is, Jedi or Sith, for there are animals that are also sensitive to the Force." Ayla said.
"But still. If we had someone that can move objects around, it would have been so much easier some hunts. Especially with stopping incoming attacks to someone in trouble." Lirlia said, her blue eyes shining in awe.
Before any Jedi could say something, Anakin's comlink started to make noise. Anakin activated it and the image of Rex came in, making Lirlia so see both in confusion and awe.
"Yes?"
"Sir, we are arriving at Coruscant. Thought you'd want to know."
"Thanks, Rex. We'll get ready to go down to the Temple." Anakin said cutting ff the transmission. "Guess our talk sill have to wait." He said standing and exited the room. Ayla and Ahsoka behind him.
"What was that?" Lirlia said as she followed them.
"What was what?" Anakin asked.
"That. The image that came from your little thing. It appeared alive." Lirlia explained, pointing to his comlink.
"Oh! That was a hologram."
"A... what gram?"
"A hologram. It is a way to communicate with others. It created a live video between you and the one to the other side. You can talk between you, and the person on the other side can heard and see you as you." Anakin explained in the most easiest way he could think of to Lirlia.
"I... think that I understand. At least a bit." Lirlia answered, scratching the back of her head.
"It's ok if you didn't understand. For what you've told us, your technology isn't really advanced." Ayla came in her defense.
"Sorry. I'm seeing and learning new stuff every second now. I guess I'm a bit... overwhelmed by what I'm seeing." Lirlia said.
"As I said, don't worry about it. It's fine if you don't understand." Ayla said. Lirlia smiled and they took an elevator.
"So, how are these people that wish to talk to me?" Lirlia said as the elevator closed its doors and moved them to the hangar.
"Well, there is Master Yoda. A small green elder that is really wise and wished to see you. He wants to know and understand why are you here, and what's the meaning that you are here." Ayla said.
"There is the Chancellor as well. He was impressed when we told him about your gun and armor. He also wants to speak with you." Anakin added.
"Which one I will see first?"
"Probably both at the same time. If not, then Master Yoda first, then the Chancellor." Ayla said.
The elevator's doors opened and they walked into the Twilight. They got seated, Anakin turned on the ship waited orders to take off. Once he received that they can take off, he piloted the ship to the ground. The sight of Coruscant shocked Lirlia, her eyes went wide as they got closer and closer to the ground. Lirlia got a small sight of the Jedi Temple, and wanted to see more, even standing and leaning closer to the window. Like when she arrived at the cruiser, the Jedi felt her amazingness through the Force.
"Is that where you live?" She asked.
"Yes. The Jedi Temple." Anakin said, remembering the first time he saw such marvelous structure when he arrived at the age of 9. "But we are heading first to the Senate Building. That's where our meeting will be." He added as he changed their destination and the Senate Building was in their sight, impressing Lirlia as well by how bit it was.
As Anakin landed, Ayla was talking to Lirlia about the Jedi Temple, its rooms, Med Bay, Meditation rooms and such. Anakin told them that they can exit the ship, which they did, and were now on their way to the Chancellor's office. Lirlia looked around all the time, asking about the different species of many Senators, guards, civilians and such, with the Jedi answering each question as best as they could.
When the doors of Chancellor's office opened, they were greeted by Chancellor Palpatine, Master Yoda, Senator Amidala, Senator Organa and Obi-Wan.
"Chancellor Palpatine." Anakin said as they bowed. "Master Yoda."
"I see that you made a new friend, Master Jedi." Bail said.
"Indeed, Senator. Lirlia here aided us." Anakin answered.
"Strange looking weapon and clothes." Padme said.
"My Heavy Bowgun and armor." Lirlia said.
"Interesting. Never seen anything like that." Padme said. She then added. "Oh my! Where are my manners? I am Padme Amidala. You can call me Padme." She said extending her hand.
"Lirlia. Pleased to meet you, Padme." She shook Padme's hand.
"I am Bail Organa."
"Pleased to meet you." Lirlia added. "I was told that a Master Yoda and the Chancellor wanted to see me."
"Yes, dear. I wanted to see you. I'm Chancellor Palpatine. A pleasure." Chancellor said extending his hand. Lirlia took it and shook it.
"Likewise." She said.
"Wish to see you, I did. Yoda, I am." Master Yoda said walking to her.
"Hello." Lirlia said, kneeling to Yoda's side. "You look like my Poogie in my home." She added, making both she and Yoda to chuckle.
"Small I am, but strong, also." He said with a smile.
"Indeed." Lirlia said.
"Master Yoda, could you find something about related to Lirlia?" Palpatine asked.
"Find much, I could not. Seeking for answers, I did. Yet, provide them, the Force didn't."
"What does that mean?" Obi-Wan said.
"Not sure, I am. First time seeing this, I do. Perhaps first time in history, this is. Acting strange, the Force is. Its own will, it has. Whatever reason there is, justified it is."
"All because of me?" Lirlia asked, wanting to know more and because it's related to her.
"Knowing that, we do not. Getting here, how did you?"
"I'm not sure. I was gathering minerals back at my home. Minerals I needed to make my weapons stronger and more efficient. Suddenly, my head started to ache. Badly. While I was grabbing my head, the ground started to shake and shatter around me. I tried to get away, but I couldn't get away enough. Before I knew it, the ground I was standing broke and fell. Before I lost consciousness, I saw dark and light lights around me. At least that's what I think I saw. After that, I woke up. I followed tracks to a village and found Ayla, Anakin and Ahsoka with their friends. I aided them, and now I'm here, with you."
"Your gun and armor, come from where?"
"They come from a..." she said looking to Ayla, Anakin and Ahsoka. "... a huge living creature, the size of a mountain. It had so much energy, that if it died near our home, the energy expelled could destroy it. So we had to intercept and forced it to move away, and some materials it left behind were gathered and were used to create my... gun. For my armor, we used those materials and others from another ecosystem from its different biomes." She said, keeping the explanation as simple as possible.
"Hmm..." Master Yoda said closing his eyes for some moments. The room waited for him to finish. Then he opened his eyes. "Full of pure energy, both your armor and gun are. Related to what, I know not." Master Yoda said.
"I don't know much about that, honestly." She sighed.
"But what does it mean that her armor and gun have that pure energy?" Bail asked.
"Two sides, the Force has. But, her armor and weapon, emanating pure energy from the Force, they do." Master Yoda said.
"Is that a problem if they do that?" Lirlia asked.
"Hmm... a problem on itself, I know not. In mysterious ways, the Force works. Harmless, could be." Master Yoda said.
Lirlia sighed. "I'm getting a headache of trying to understand what you are saying." She said chuckling to herself.
"Fall to despair, no need to. Help you, we will. Worry, you should not." Master Yoda said.
Lirlia smiled at that. She knelt and petted Yoda in the head with her hand, taking everyone by surprise. "I thank you, Master Yoda. I will help you in any way I can to repay your kindness." She said taking her hand away.
Yoda smiled. "Worry, you should not." He said when Lirlia stood.
"So... where I'm going to stay and what should I do in the meantime?" She asked.
"You could stay in the Temple with us. We can help you there." Obi-Wan said.
"I appreciate it. Thank you."
"So, how many creatures there are in your home? And where can we find it? I'd love to see it myself." Padme said.
"We have different sizes, there are small... creatures, and large creatures. The most important are the large creatures, since they can affect our home, or even destroy it. And as to where my home is..." Lirlia scratched the back of her head. "I don't really know. It's the very first time that I travel through the... stars and saw new planets and new species. I don't know why I haven't passed out yet." She said.
"So, what would you like to do then, Lirlia?" Palpatine asked.
Lirlia sighed, dropping her shoulders. "I'd like to rest. Eat something, or better to take a nap. I thought that I have gathered my thoughts in that... transport that brought us here, but learning about that... Force thing, and that both me and my equipment are connected somehow to it, is a bit... overwhelming... to say the least." She said.
"Let you rest for today, we shall. A lot to process for you, all of this is. Should you need assistance, to the council you must talk. Padawan Tano, take you to a room, she will. Go, you may." Yoda said.
"Thank you Master Yoda."
"Come on, Lirlia. I'll get you to your room in the Temple." Ahsoka said.
"Here, take this." Obi-Wan said, giving Lirlia a small and circular device.
"What is this?" She asked.
"A comlink, and also a holographic transmitor. To activate it, you just have to press in the middle of it. Use it to contact someone from the Council." Obi-Wan explained.
"Thanks. May we go, please?" She said.
"Come now. See you later Master. Chancellor, Senators." Ahsoka said bowing to each. And leaving the room with Lirlia.
"So, what's your opinion on Lirlia, Master Yoda?" Obi-Wan asked.
The green little alien looked down for a bit. "Strong in the Force, she is. Really strong."
"And about her planet and the creatures living there?"
"Speak true, she does. Felt that, I did. No dark in her consciousness, I felt."
"But what about that armor and weapon? They seem to be ancient, but the reports given to us by Rex and Bly said that they are strong and tough." Ayla said.
"Maybe... those creatures she fought... are tougher than the droids, vessels and armor we currently have? Meaning that her people need stronger and tougher equipment to protect themselves?" Obi-Wan said.
"Be the case, that could be. Certain of that, we are not." Yoda said.
"Well, what should we do, then? It won't be long before someone catches what she's done." Ayla said.
"True. But we also need all the help we can get." Bail said.
"May be we could ask her about that, don't you think?" Palpatine said.
"Could be worth a shot." Anakin answered.
"Well, we need to discuss this further with the Council, since she's staying at the Temple." Obi-Wan said. Then he added.
"We should keep this topic in secret, at least until she's comfortable here. It'd do best if we don't overwhelm her more than she is with the army, scientists and media."
"Indeed. We we will keep this secret. Are you ok with it, Chancellor?" Padme asked.
"I agree with it."
"Dismissed, we are." Yoda said. "Pleased to talk with you, it was."
"Goodbye."
Everyone bowed and left the room, leaving Palpatine alone. He waited for ten or so minutes, doing paperwork before locking the door and focusing into the Force.
The woman can be no more than 23 years old. And the way the Force acted around her was... unsettling. As Master Yoda said, she is strong in the Force. She could be stronger than Yoda or himself... or even stronger than Anakin by how strong she was connected to the Force. It was like seeing into the heart of the Force. Both her armor and gun are not to be ignored, either. It was like they are a mobile Nexus of the Force, but with no Dark nor Light there, only the Force. Sidious can't understand how is that possible. A frown made its way to Sith Lord's face.
Alone now, he even tried to seek through the Dark Side and see if there are answers, only to be left with no answers. Except... now he got something, but not what he was looking for. At first he thought that the Force didn't quite know about the woman or that the answer was beyond his reach without risking getting caught by the Jedi. No. He realized that the Force was forbidding access to the answers he was looking for. And not only by the Dark Side, but also the by Light Side. That made him enraged. For the first time, he cannot get the answers he needs from the Force. It is like she was being protected by the Force itself.
'But from what or who?' He thought. He needed answers, but he also wished to see if
But then, he got an idea.
A wicked smile formed on his lips.
'She's strong in the Force, indeed. And I could use that for my advantage.' He thought. 'And her weaponry will be a good asset if I can control her.' A plan was forming into the Sith Lord's mind.
Lirlia and Ahsoka arrived to the Temple, heading towards the guests rooms.
"Wow, this Temple is really huge." Lirlia said, looking around while following Ahsoka.
"Indeed. No matter how many times I see it from the distance, it always amazes me how huge this Temple was built."
"And you live, train and study here?"
"That's right. Every person who's got a strong connection to the Force comes here to train."
"Wow. Cannot imagine something being built in my home this big with our current technology and materials. The only buildings that can be this big are ancient and destroyed."
"Destroyed? You mean, by those monsters?"
"Yes. We have few history about those places. And have many theory as to why got destroyed."
"And can't you repair them so you can live there?"
"Not really. Those are the place of dangerous monsters. Every time we repel the one living there, another takes its place. So we stay away from those places and only go there when is needed. The same happened to Castle Schrade."
"What happened there?"
"Ahsoka! You are back!" A new voice was heard from the distance. Looking there, both females saw a green skinned woman approaching them.
"Barris! Good to see you!"
"Likewise. And who's this?"
"Lirlia. I helped your friends when they needed. A pleasure."
"Master Kenobi ordered me to take her to a room so she can rest."
"I see. Well, mind if I go with you?"
"Sure, not a problem." Lirlia said. The three of them continued their way towards the guest rooms. Lirlia didn't realize she was being watched by almost everyone who passes by them or when they entered a new location in the Temple, being immersed in the chat the three of them were having.
After another half an hour, they reached their destination. As they entered, Ahsoka showed and taught her how to use the controls and such, with Lirlia taking notes in her book.
"Ok, I guess I have everything you told me written and learned. Thank you." Lirlia said.
"Should you need something, just call to the Council or to any of the Jedi knights outside. Tell them that you are looking for the Council. He or she will take you there." Ahsoka said.
"Understood. Thanks."
"Well, since we are finished here, I'll take you to the Healing Wing Ahsoka. Those wounds need to be cleaned and patched." Barris said walking outside.
"I don't need it, Barris. Why does everyone think that I need help?" Ahsoka complained.
"Even I need help from time to time. Even though I was able to do unthinkable things back in my home. Without it, I wouldn't have survived against some... dangers. So go, and accept your friend's help." Lirlia said. Seeing that she was outmatched, Ahsoka sighed in defeat.
"Alright, alright. I'll go." She finally said.
"Great!" Barris said. She then looked to Lirlia. "I'll see you around. Bye!"
"Bye." She said as both of them left the room. Lirlia sighed and sat on the bed. The heaviness of her situation finally coming to her.
"I'm now in a strange place, between a massive War, with species and technology beyond my comprehension." She said, burying her face in her gloved hands. She put her hands away and sighed. "Guess I will take a nap. I've seen and learned so much in a really short time, that my head is sore. Then I'll talk about my situation with someone within that... council." She said. She placed her gun beside the bed and laid down, closing her eyes and soon drifted off to sleep.
Meanwhile, the Council gathered to speak about Lirlia's sudden appearance, whether through comlink or seated on their respective chairs.
"Interesting." Mace Windu said after Anakin, Ayla and Obi-Wan explained the situation, with Master Yoda adding some details.
"Indeed. The question is, how is that possible to a gun and armor be imbedded in the Force? Unless is a kyber cristal, there aren't much objects that are connected to the Force." Ki Adi Mundi said.
"It seems that our knowledge of that will have to change." Ayla said.
"Where is she now?" Shaak Ti asked.
"She's now in a guest room. She said that she wanted to sleep. She's probably now. We shouldn't disturb her for now." Obi-Wan said.
"Alright. Master Stass, your thoughts about it?" Mace asked.
"I'd like to do a medical check on her once she's awake."
"Alright."
"The worrying thing is the Force around her." Ki Adi said.
"If the Force acts that way around her, then we need to keep her away from the Sith's sight." Kit Fisto said.
"Indeed." Mace answered. "She should stay here in the Temple."
"And what about her own decision? She's confused and probably lost with what she's been told is so far. We should ask her about her stay here first. May be some answers may come in the future." Plo Koon said.
"Hmm... talk about that with her, we will, once she's ready." Yoda said. "Force her to stay, we should not. Ask her, and hear her decision, we shall."
"I'd like to see her skills with a blade. According to what you are saying, then she must be skilled in the usage of a blade." Mace said.
"We could also ask her to do a demonstration of her weapon, and show us her armor. I'd like to a scan over them." Saesee Tiin said.
"We could ask her later." Obi-Wan said.
"If there's nothing more to discuss, then this meeting is over." Shaak Ti said.
