Chapter 4
Draco woke to see that he had cried himself to sleep. He climbed out of bed, stiffly. He had slept in a bad position last night and his muscles hurt. He rubbed his neck trying to relive some of the pain. Slowly he drug himself to the bathroom and turned the shower on, stripped out of his school clothes and climbed in.
The blast of water soothed his aching muscles. He was going to try to talk to Hermione today, see if he could get something else out of her. All he knew was it was something about Death Eaters. Well they are many people's problems, he thought as he reached for the shampoo.
Something had to have happened recently, she was fine a few days ago. She hasn't left the school lately, so what could the Death Eaters have done to her?
His body felt much better he stepped out of the shower and wrapped a fluffy white towel around his waste and walked to his bedroom. His mind still on Hermione, as he got dressed. Hermione should have been awake a long time ago; maybe she was still in her room.
Walking out of his room he walked over to her door, and knocked.
"Hermione", he called after waiting for a few minutes he left her door.
Hmmm... maybe the library. He walked down there, looking around he didn't see her. Where was she? He was about to leave when he heard a squeal. He turned around to see Pansy. Groaning he whipped around and started to run out of the library.
He was running through the corridor, trying not to run into people as they rolled their eyes. Everyone knew how Pansy loved Draco, but sadly Draco did not love Pansy. How could he love that slut?
He wanted someone he could have an intelligent conversation with. Not like Pansy.
He bumped into someone, not bothering to see who it was he muttered an apology he continued to run.
If he had glanced at the person, he would have seen that it was someone he would have wanted to talk to. It was the one person he had been looking for, Hermione Granger.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
Hermione was walking down the corridor headed towards her dorm, when someone ran into her. They muttered a sorry and continued running. Looking back she saw a flash of platinum blond hair. It was Draco and it appeared that Pansy was chasing him.
Poor guy, it was one of those rare moments when she felt bad for him. No one wanted to be near Pansy. Except for maybe the people who were like Pansy. Like Millicent, yeah they were perfect for each other. Maybe they should go lesbian together. She snorted thinking about them together like that.
She finally found herself standing outside a portrait of a little girl of about five years of age. She had curly brunette-colored hair and big caramel-colored eyes. She was sitting on a bench at a park. In one of her tiny hands was a big lollie pop.
"Password?", The girl grinned.
Hermione was still not in a good mood and wanted to slap the grin off of her face. She didn't like seeing people being so jolly when she was ready to sulk.
"Buttercups", she muttered.
Even the password was an extremely happy sounding word. Everything was just to colorful and happy for her right now. At that moment she wished the world could be gray and dreary to match her depressed mood.
Climbing through the portrait she head towards the stairs. She quickly climbed up them and opened the door to her room. Sighing heavily she sat down on the bed. She had barely gotten comfortable when she heard a tap tap tap.
Looking over to the window she saw a medium sized gray owl that she didn't recognize. Opening the window, the owl rushed in as a cold blast of air hit Hermione in the face. It was starting to get rather cold outside. It was the middle of October and soon enough it would be winter, her favorite season.
When she was little her parents built snowmen, built forts, made snow angels, and her favorite of all had snow ball wars. She was a champion at snowball wars. They would always have hot chocolate after they played in the snow. Oh how she loved snow, all powdered and white. She loved how it seemed to sparkle like millions of diamonds. She loved catching the snowflakes on her tongue. The feeling of coolness would swirl on her tongue. Making her joyful and full of excitement.
She realized that she was crying. She got sick of crying, but the memories of her parents were too much for her to bare. She couldn't help the tears that kept on falling. She looked at the owl and untied the leather strip that held a scroll. Unrolling the school she read.
Miss Granger,
I would like to inform you that your parents funerals will be on this Tuesday. I will have port key for you. Please meet me in my office at 9 am on Tuesday. Feel free to bring anyone with you.
Professor Dumbledore.
She read the letter and reread it. It was time to say her last goodbyes. She had two days till the funeral. How was she ever going to make it in life with her parents?
She looked down at the letter and an idea struck her. She looked away from the letter with determination on her face.
A/N so there you go... did you like it? The next chapter is going to be like a song-fic. So now go review, I won't update till I get a good amount of reviews.
