Nicole brings Craig, Maya and Jessica for their routine checkup. Maya is confused because she doesn't understand what a routine medical exam is.

The William family are in the waiting room.

"Craig, what's a routine medical exam?" The girl with the pink hair whispers to Craig.

"You never had? I thought in space you have hospitals with advanced technology." Craig said.

"No."

"It's just to check if you're okay." The African-American boy explains to Maya.

"Ohhh. If that's only that, I just have to say I'm fine."

"It doesn't work like that.,"

"The medicals are worse. The doctor puts the stuff in your mouth, makes you sit in a cold chair and hits your knee with a mini hammer." Jessica exaggerates in her explanations.

"Jessica doesn't scare your sister."

"You really have some really weird medical methods on earth."

Craig is called.

"Everything's gonna Be Alright." He walks into the office.

Hours passed and Craig returned with a red lollipop.

"Craig, are you okay?"

"Yes, the doctor said I'm healthy and he gave me this red lollipop."

There it is up to Jessica to go meet the doctor. As for Craig it was not too long and she received a blue pacifier.

Maya William.

"Everything's going to be fine, honey."

"OK…"

There, a girl with pink hair walks into the office.

"Hello Maya, I'm Doctor Lafleur. I'll be in charge of your medical routine. To start, sit in the chair."

Maya does as the doctor asked there. The doctor takes a wooden stick.

"Open the mouth."

"Ahhh." Maya half opens her mouth.

"A little bit taller. "

"Ahhhhh." She widens her mouth like that of pelicans.

"Is…." Doctor Lafleur is shocked and scared. "You can shut your mouth.,"

"OK."

"Check your heart.," He picks up the contraption to hear Maya's heart.

(Noted: I don't know what the stuff doctors use to hear people's hearts is called.)

Doctor Lafleur hears two heartbeats.

"Your heart is beating really hard that I feel like you have two."

"I have two hearts."

"You have a hell of a imagination." The man thinks the pink haired girl is playing a joke. "Now your reflexes."

He takes the mini hammer and flicks Maya on the knee. No result.

"…"

The doctor tries again, but to no avail.

He tries the other knee and this time he has a reaction.

"Hmmm."

"Tell me Maya. Nicole told me that she and her husband are adopting you?"

"That's right . "

"Maya, have you already received your vaccines?"

"What is a vaccine?"

"I take that for a no. In that case I'll give a little injection for the flu and we'll be done."

"OK."

The man takes out a syringe. Maya is terrified.

"You have a gun!"

"What? It's not a gun, it's a syringe. I'm just going to give you a little vaccine for your body that protects itself against germs."

"Liar! You have a needle gun that shoots sharp bullets and you tempted to murder me and the other patients. I won't let you!"

"Maya this is not a weapon…"

Maya does not listen to him and returns to her original form but more scary.

"Grrrrrooooar !"

"Ahhhhh !"

In the waiting room. Nicole, Craig and Jessica hear all the noises.

"I hope Maya is doing well." Nicole is worried about her adopted daughter.

"What was that monstrous scream? Why is the doctor screaming?"

The screams stop. Maya is dating the doctor who looks like a wild animal has attacked her.

"Your little Maya is healthy…" He said before passing out to the floor.

"Ok the kids come home." Nicole annonce.

"Yeah."

In the car Craig is curious and asks the alien girl what happened.

"Who happened at the clinic?" The African American boy asks in a low voice.

"The doctor was a murderer, he tried to kill him with a gun equipped with a needle and was telling lies about the vaccine."

"It wasn't a weapon. It's to help your body protect itself from germs."

"Of which he was not a murderer who came to earth to kill me ,?" Maya asks.

"No." Craig replied.

"Oup. I owe him an apology." Maya feels guilty for scaring the doctor.

"Just to know, are you immune to Earth diseases?" Craig asked the alien girl.

"Uh ... I think so."

After this visit. Doctor Lafleur was traumatized because of Maya and retired.

Another doctor will replace him. For the next routine checkup, the alien girl will do better next time and act like an Earthling.
