Prologue
Harry Potter. That's his name. You may as well refer to him as 'The boy who lived' or 'The chosen one'. Depends on what you like more of course. The hero with green eyes (just like his mother) and his black hair.
His parents died when he was a baby and he had lived with his uncle and aunt, Vernon and Petunia Dursley.
When he was 11 years old, he received a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He had never been happier and is having the best time of his life. Learning spells, brewing potions, playing quidditch and many more. He was doing all of that together with his two best friends: Ron and Hermione.
Until one day…
Chapter 1: A troublesome theft
"Harry, wake up", whispered Ron.
Harry opened one eye, told Ron to go back to sleep, and turned around in his bed.
He was falling asleep again, until suddenly…
"WAKE UP HARRY", yelled Ron as he hit Harry's head with a pillow.
He opened the curtains and gave Harry his glasses. Harry looked around to see what's going on. Ron was standing there, he looked like he had just seen a ghost.
"Ron, what's going on?", asked Harry.
"Do you remember that important quidditch match the The Chudley Canons were playing? The one that's being held in Ireland?"
"Yes, I remember, it would be impossible to forget, since you've been talking about it for weeks now."
"Yes yes, I know. I'm a big fan Harry, just accept that. Anyways… THEY WON!", Ron yelled.
"Ron, if this is the reason why you woke me up, I will be fighting you in less than 5 seconds."
"Oooh come on Harry, we need to celebrate this right now!"
Without saying a word, Harry turned off the light, put his glasses on the wooden nightstand that had a lion on its drawer, and went back to bed.
The next morning, Harry woke up (again) and noticed that Ron already went to the Great Hall, to eat his breakfast.
He put on his robe and was then looking for his glasses. That's strange, he could have sworn he put his glasses on the nightstand.
Maybe Ron wanted to get back at him and stole his glasses as a prank that was supposed to be funny. He decided to go ask him.
"Good morning Ron, quick question, did you accidentally take my glasses this morning?"
He shook his head.
"Are you still upset about this night?"
He nodded.
"I'm really sorry that I did not want to listen to your stories about the quidditch game, I really am. But you know Sirius gave them to me and I also really need them, so please just give them back.
"I swear I did not take them, Harry", Ron promised.
"Well, that's weird… Then where are they?"
Chapter 2: A fascinating founding
When the golden trio was walking to their Potions class, they were still talking about the weird disappearance of his glasses.
"Maybe you dropped them under your bed?", Hermione suggested.
"Yeah maybe. I'll check when we get back to our Common Room", Harry answered.
After their classes, they wanted to go visit Hagrid. When they knocked on the door, a smiling Hagrid opened the door.
"Hello guys, what's up?"
"Since when do you use 'What's up' as a sentence?", Ron asked.
"Oh, I don't really know actually. I just thought we would be using that kind of language today."
They all laughed. It had been a long time since they last saw Hagrid. Of course, he was always walking around in the hallways, but he was always very busy so it was difficult to have a conversation with him.
"Hagrid, did you happen to see my glasses somewhere?", Harry asked.
"No, I haven't. Did you lose them?"
"Well, yes, I think so. I just know for sure that I put them on my nightstand after taking them off. But when I woke up, they were gone."
Hagrid frowned.
"I know, it's weird. However, if you find them, please let me know. They are the only thing I have that Sirius gave me before he passed away.
"Of course, I'll let you know Harry, you guys know me. Always helping everyone around me."
They all smiled and nodded. What a pleasure to know Rubeus Hagrid.
After a lot of cookies and tea, they went back to the castle.
While they were walking, Harry saw something he was excited to see.
"My glasses!", he said.
"That's weird", Hermione said, "how did they get here?"
Harry shrugged. "I'm just glad I have them back."
The moment he put on his glasses, something really weird happened.
He saw himself holding the House Cup. But that's not possible. It was only February. The end of the school year is still four months away.
He decided not to tell Ron and Hermione, because he was just going to ignore what happened.
However, this had never happened before. Are these glasses really his?
Chapter 3: Gruesome glasses
After playing chess, they all decided to go to bed. They were very tired and it had been a long day.
"Oh no, I forgot to do my homework for Defense Against the Dark Arts", Harry sighed.
He said goodnight to his two best friends. After an hour, he finally finished his essay about hinkypunks.
Harry walked up the stairs, when suddenly… He heard a scream. He immediately recognized that voice. It was Hermione.
The scream was followed by a loud scream for help, that was yelled by Ron.
What's happening? His two best friends are in danger. He had to rescue them.
He took his invisible cloth and his torch and walked to the door. But he had no idea where they were. He put on his glasses again and started to look for more details.
It happened again; the loud screaming mixed with fear.
He saw where Ron and Hermione were. It was the Room of Requirement.
He climbed out of his safe Common Room and started to run.
The halls were so warm and dark. It was 1am. He arrived.
Filled with adrenaline, he reached for the door. The door made a squeaking noise.
He looked into the room, but he did not understand what he was seeing.
The room was empty. There was no one there, not even Ron and Hermione.
But that was impossible, the Room of Requirement always appears when a person has real need of it, and is always equipped with the seeker's needs.
So, if they are not in here, then they must not be in danger?
Are they?
Chapter 4: Selfless saving
He looked behind him and was thrilled to see Ron and Hermione standing there.
"Are you guys safe?", Harry said.
"Yes, of course we are, why wouldn't we be?", Ron asked.
"And what are you doing here in the middle of the night Harry?", Hermione added.
Harry started to explain everything. He was happy to see Hermione nodding. She knew something. Of course she did, she is the smartest witch he had ever met.
Hermione said that this must be the work of a futurf, a small menace creature. It used objects to make people see 'their future'. However, this was not the future at all.
"So he really used my glasses to do this?"
"Yes, you have to admit, it's smart. It knew you always need your glasses, so it's an object you'll use all the time", Hermione explained.
"But how do we take its power away?", Ron said.
"By simply understanding its method and destroying the object. Yes Harry, I know, I'm sorry about the glasses."
Harry smiled. "If it can save us, it has to be done."
Of course he said that, they're from Gryffindor. In my opinion it's the very best house. (Yes, I'm in Gryffindor as well)
They started to say "We know what you did and how you did it. Stop trying to predict the future. No one knows what the future holds. Not even futurfs…
Harry then threw his glasses against the wall.
"Well, at least we're safe now, right?", Harry said while he was smiling.
He wasn't really that sad, because he knew Sirius what have done the exact same thing if it could save his best friends.
He would do anything to save the people he loved.
That's how Harry Potter is, and we all know it. We all think he is a hero. Which he is.
