Nicolas's day at school just ended. He followed the same routine he had done the day before . Just like the first day, he went straight back home. He got there just before Jack, his brother. So, when Nicolas had opened the door to his house, his parents, Troy and Gabrielle met him at the door. Troy hugged him, helped him put his stuff down and walked to the foot of the staircase,
"Hey Nicolas!", greeted Troy.
Nicolas gave a big hug to Gabrielle as well. Once Nicolas was finished hugging both of his parents, he noticed his parents were looking beyond him through the open door,
"What are you looking for mom and dad?",asked Nicolas.
Both of his parents then had turned to Nicolas,
"Your brother, Jack.", they both said at the same time.
Nicolas walked up to them,
"He's not home yet?", said Nicolas
"Oh.", they both said at the same time. again.
Troy, took his cell out of his pocket and he walked off towards the kitchen to dial Jack's phone. Nicolas almost felt disappointed that his dad focused on Jack because he was planning to talk to both of his parents. At least his mom was not as distracted,
"Anndd..how was school?",asked Gabrielle.
"Mom, first, I need to explain to you about yesterday before I tell you how school went."began Nicolas.
Gabrielle was silent for a few seconds, "Oh okay, then tell me.",She said.
