Nicholas decided to talk to his mom, Gabriella, n the living room. The living room was a calm combination of beige, cream and dark bronze. This set a quiet level for everyone. Voices never got raised in the living room. The both of them had ended up both sitting on the couch. They each sat at an end. They stared at each other face to face. They were both silent for a little while. Then, after a little bit of silence, Gabriella decided to speak,
"So Nicholas, would you like to tell me how the first day of school went before we talk about your second day?",asked Gabriella.
"Well, I met Susan, who just started her freshman year, and the two of us teamed up and ventured through the school through the day, together.", explained Nicholas.
"Oh nice! I remember Susan! You guys used to play together when you guys were little.",answered Gabriella.
Nicholas had let out a laugh, remembering the good times that both Susan and him had when they were little kids. Nicholas looked back at his mother again, he could tell his mom already wanted to know more of the story, so , Nicholas was about to get ready to speak when he heard the key in the door. His attention towards his mother completely changed when he had heard the front door open and shut. He turned to see who it is was. Jack appeared at the front door and could be seen clearly in the living room. Before anyone could say anything, they all heard a voice from the study, whose entryway is directly opposite the living room, but, could clearly see the front door as well,
Troy, their dad, shouted, "You're late!! Where have you been? Why do I pay for a phone for you if you don't use it!?"
Jack smiled to himself. Nicholas was watching this scene taking place in front of him was much more entertained seeing his brother get in trouble, than talking to his Mom.
