Struggling in the Dark

A poem I made about my story You are my Sunshine with Izzy's POV. It's sweet, although it has a little IzzyxKari feel to it, it's NOT a Hishiro poem!

Struggling in the Dark

I see you there, all alone,

Struggling to hold on,

And in the darkness you moan.

All I see is you turning blue.

I'm scared now,

Help! what should I do?

Kari, you told me to follow my heart.

Now I know what to do,

Saving you is the first part.

--------

I know I'm not you're Oni-chan,

I'm not a hero, a fighter,

Or a brave man.

--------

But I know how that I can save you,

I push aside my laptop,

And focus on what's true.

--------

When my lips touch yours they're icy cold,

But my first kiss isn't important,

It's bringing you back that keeps me bold.

--------

When my gesture brings you back to me,

You stir and say, "Izzy, what happened?"

And I smiled and said, "Welcome back, Kari!"

Now you know the truth, behold!

For the flicker of darkness,

That you still hold.

--------

Now fours years later it's happened again,

I'm stuck with you alone,

Where's your ni-chan?

--------

The other's try hard to hold on,

But I go off,

To find where he's gone.

--------

Meeting with Tai, I go on and say,

"You left poor Kari!"

And I fought him, for shame.

--------

Dispute resolved you're now awake,

I feel like your brother,

I'll be your Onii-chan, is that okay?

--------

Now he's doing his job alright,

I watch in the distance, smiles abound,

As you stand their with Tai, glowing with a bright light.
