The next chapter has arrived now! This one will mainly focus on the guppies, while also giving some insight that Kong and Godzilla are in their world now. The characters will be split with each other, with one side being on Kong's side, and the other being on Godzilla's side. I hope you like how this is played out, now let's get into it!
Chapter 2: Guppies and Titans
The town of BubbleTucky was a beautiful place, even though it's an underwater world. It had buildings, nature was blooming, and the residents were fairly nice. The most famous residents were the Bubble Guppies, which were kid mermaids. The 7 of them always helped out in the neighborhood. One of them happened to be swimming on her way to school right now.
"The sky sure is pretty today, it's like the ocean became the sky" Oona said. She was swimming to her classroom. She swam down a path, when she spotted a cliffside that was near the ocean.
"Wow! That place looks beautiful, maybe I could be a little late" Oona thought. She swam to the edge and sat down. She took off her pigtails, letting the wind blow in her hair. She also had her phone with her, so Oona decided to take a picture. "This place is so pretty, I should come here more often" Oona said to herself.
She sat there for a while, admiring the view, but then redid her pigtails and got up to leave to go to school. "I guess I better get going so I'm not late" she said. However, just as she was leaving, she heard an echoing roar behind her.
"W-what was that?" Oona said. Suddenly, she heard a large splash, and went to go check it out. She saw large spike protrude out of the water, as well as a large tail appearing too. "What is that?!" Oona said. Shocked by this, she recorded a video of the anomaly, just before the tail and spikes went underwater.
"I have to show this to Mr. Grouper! Maybe he'll know what it is!" Oona said. She grabbed her stuff and quickly swam to school.
At their school, everyone was getting ready, and sat down when Mr. Grouper swam to them.
"Good morning, Mr. Grouper!" They all said.
"Well good morning everyone" Mr. Grouper said.
"Say, has anyone seen Oona? She's usually the first one here?" Deema asked.
"I'm here!" Oona shouted, swimming towards them. "Sorry I'm late, I got distracted by something" Oona told them.
"What was it Oona?" Mr. Grouper asked her.
"It was this huge tail that came out of the water! I even took a video of it" Oona said, pulling out her phone. Everyone came to look at the video Oona took. She showed them the video of the giant tail in the water, which shocked everyone.
"That is one huge tail!" Deema exclaimed.
"That is very interesting Oona, do you know what it could be?" Mr. Grouper asked her.
"No, I haven't seen anything like it before" Oona replied.
"I'll admit, even I haven't seen anything with a tail that huge" Zooli commented.
"What do we do Mr. Grouper?" Goby asked their teacher.
"I know. Oona, do you mind if I show this video to a friend of mine?" Mr. Grouper asked her.
"Sure, but why?" Oona wondered.
"My friend is a biologist, which means she studies plants and animals from all over the world. If anyone can figure out what this creature is, she can" he explained. Oona handed her teacher the phone. "In the meantime, you guys can go play outside or in the classroom, but don't leave the school" Mr. Grouper told them.
"OK!" they replied.
Oona was sitting down, reading a book next to Nonny. They were both reading books about subjects unknown. Zooli was playing with the pet lizard when she saw Oona nearby. She decided to go over to her to ask her something.
"Hey Oona!" Zooli greeted her.
"Hi Zooli! What's up?" she asked.
"I have to ask, where did you record that video?" Zooli asked her.
"I recorded it on a cliff by the beach. I was sitting there, admiring the view of the ocean, and took a picture. I was about to leave when I heard this echoing roar" she explained, imitating what she heard.
"I see…go on" Zooli replied.
"Then I heard this big splash from behind me, and saw this massive black tail, along with spikes appear out of the water. I recorded the video because I've never seen something like that before" Oona explained.
"I have to admit, even I have never seen something like that before. What do you think it is?" Zooli asks her.
"I'm worried it might be a sea monster that lives deep underwater"
"Oona, monsters aren't real" Zooli chuckled at her.
"Well what do you think it is, Zooli?" she asked her.
"Me? Well, I'd say it had to be some kind of reptile, given the large tail" Zooli explained.
"I guess so. What do you think it could be Nonny?" Oona asked him, startling the boy.
"M-me? Well, I…might have to agree with Zooli. It could be some kind of large reptile" Nonny told them.
"You see? It's not a monster" Zooli told Oona. She decided to turn on the news to see if anything about it is on. The news said this.
"BREAKING NEWS: Giant monster spotted off beach coast!"
"Not a monster huh?" Oona looked at Zooli.
"Let's just keep watching" she said. All the guppies went up close to watch the television.
"I'm here with two sailors, who encountered this monster while sailing their boat out in the ocean" the reporter said. "Please, describe to us what you saw" the reporter asked them.
"Well, we were sailing our boat, when this huge portal-looking thing appeared in the sky, and this huge, lizard-looking monster fell out of it and landed in the water", one of the sailors explained.
"What did this "monster" look like?" the reporter asked the two.
"It was black and scaly. It had spikes on its back going all the way to its massive tail! It splashed out of the water, and then looked at us. We were scared out of our minds. It then roared loudly at us, and then went underwater, smashing our boat in the process" the other explained to them.
"Well folks, it looks like there is a monster in the ocean. The military is working on locating and capturing the creature. There have also been reports of another creature spotted somewhere. A giant ape with an axe landing somewhere near this town. The general is telling people to stay away from the water, and to report any sightings if they spot either one. I'm Anna Hattle, with breaking news" the reporter informed. Oona turned the TV off. All of them looked at each other in shock and confusion.
"Guys, that description matches exactly what I saw earlier today!" Oona said to them.
"We have to tell Mr. Grouper now!" Gil said. Then Mr. Grouper came out to inform them.
"My friend has no idea what it could be either, we'll have to research more-" he said before stopping, confused by their faces. "Why is everyone looking like that?" he asked.
"Mr. Grouper, we just turned on the news, and that creature I saw earlier was seen again on the ocean!"
"Really? That's exciting news!" Mr. Grouper excited.
"We have to go report it. Can we go?" Oona asked him.
"I don't know" Mr. Grouper said.
"Please?" All of them said with eyes Mr. Grouper couldn't resist.
"Oh all right. But you have to stay by me" Mr. Grouper told them. The guppies got excited and got their stuff to leave to go to the beach.
At the beach, it was closed and blocked off, and was full of military personnel, with tanks and soldiers everywhere, as well as warships on the water in case the creature appeared again. The guppies were nervous with all these everywhere. When they got there, someone blocked their path. It was a lobster woman.
"I'm sorry Mr. Grouper, but we can't let anyone pass through here right now" she told them.
"But we have to tell the general something. One of my students recorded a video of that creature on her way to class" Mr. Grouper informed. Oona swam up to her. She looked at Oona, and then brought out a walkie talkie.
"General Adam this is Polly, we have someone who has spotted the creature and recorded it and would like to speak to you sir" the woman said into her walkie talkie.
"Why is she talking to that thing?" Deema whispered.
"It's a walkie talkie. It allows people to communicate over long distances" Nonny whispered back.
The soldier opened the gate to let them in. They swam down the beach, looking at how much weaponry was there. They knew that this meant whatever was out there, it was dangerous.
"Look how many soldiers are here!" Gil said.
"I guess they want to be ready for when that creature attacks" Goby told him. They stopped when an adult male guppy appeared to them, wearing an army outfit with lots of badges.
"Good afternoon, I am General Adam, and I run this mission, it's a pleasure to meet all of you" Adam introduced himself.
"Thank you General Adam!" the guppies say to him.
"Now, Oona, can you tell me about what you saw about this creature?" he asked Oona.
"Well, before I saw it, I heard this loud roar," she explained while imitating the roar. "Then I heard this big splash, and saw spikes appear and move in the water, and then this huge tail came out of the water. It was big, black, and scaly too" Oona explained to him. "Here's the video I took" Oona said, showing Adam the video.
"Interesting, it looks like the exact same thing those two sailors saw" General Adam said, intrigued by Oona's sighting. "Oona, may I use your phone, so we can hopefully try to figure out what this thing is? We will call your parents to come get it back once we are done" Adam asked her.
"Sure, here you go" Oona replied, handing him her phone.
"If you guys want to, you can stay here for the night, I will let your parents know if so" Adam proposed to them.
"That won't be necessary, General, they have to get back to school. Let's go, everyone!" Mr. Grouper said. As they all headed back to the school, Molly stopped to ask Adam a question.
"E-excuse me, General Adam?" Molly said to him.
"Yes Molly" he asked.
"The news said there was also a gorilla monster too. Is it really coming here, and is it out there somewhere?" Molly asks him.
"We don't know where it is right now, since it destroyed our vehicles when we got close, but we are searching for it" Adam explained.
"Thank you!" Molly said as she swam to catch up to the rest. It seem Molly was more interested in this ape monster than what was in the ocean.
Kong was on the ground, passed out from falling from such a height. He then woke up, hurt. Kong got up from the ground, confused and looked around the place, trying to figure out where he was. He picked up his axe and started walking. He looked down to see everyday animals, but with fish tails, confusing the Titan, but Kong didn't really seem to care. He was just trying to figure out where he was.
Suddenly, Kong here's screaming below him, and sees lobsters, fish, crabs and snails fleeing and screaming from him. Kong is confused and doesn't know what to do, when he gets hit by missiles and explosions from jets and tanks. This angers the ape, who roars loudly and charges. He destroys them with his fists and axe, but gets barraged by missiles.
Kong steps on the tanks while they are shooting at him. He slams his axe on the ground, creating a shockwave that destroys the tanks. The jets still shoot missiles at him, injuring him further. Kong gets pissed off now, and effortlessly destroys them.
Kong pounds his chest and roars, when he is knocked back by a large laser and into surrounding homes. He thinks it's Godzilla, when he sees it is a machine. Kong gets hit again, further knocking him back.
He gets up in pain, growls at it, and picks up his axe. Kong roars and charges towards it. The laser fires again, but Kong uses his axe to absorb the beam, and throws it at the machine, destroying it partially. Kong then slams his fists into it, blowing it up. Kong picks up his axe again, and roars in victory.
Kong walks away, hurt and tired from all those attacks, and feels like he is about to pass out. The ape groans in pain, having received wounds from the missiles, before he spots a certain building, thinking it was a good place to rest, but didn't know that it would waste his energy. Kong walked towards it tiredly, not knowing about the people inside the building.
Deema and Goby were reading books about lizards, since they were thinking the creature was a giant lizard. Deema was intrigued by some of the facts about lizards she had not known.
"Wowsers! I had no idea some lizards could breathe underwater!" Deema said excitedly.
"That's because some lizards are reptiles, which means they can breathe underwater for a period of time" Goby explained to her.
Deema notices Oona nearby, and gets worried about her.
"Say Goby, do you think Oona is going to be okay? She's more quiet than usual" she asks Goby, concerned about her friend.
"She's probably worried about that monster, she just needs to get it out of her mind" Goby tells her.
"Hey guys! What are you doing?" Gil asks them.
"Just reading books about lizards, to see if we can find out anything about that creature" Goby tells him. Gil grabs a book, and reads a fact out loud.
"It says here that the anole lizard can breathe underwater by trapping air in a bubble on their snout, allowing them to continually breathe air while underwater" Gil reads.
"Well that's interesting" Deema says. "I never knew lizards could do that!"
Gil notices Molly sitting by the window, looking out it. He gets up to go check on her. She has her head against the window, clearly upset about something.
"Are you OK Molly?" Gil asks her.
"I don't know Gilly. I'm just wondering if that other monster might be somewhere near them, and we could be killed by it without knowing it was near, or it could be mistaken as dangerous and they attack it" Molly tells him.
"We don't where it is or if would attack us, but we just have to deal with it Molly" Gil tells her.
"But not all large animals are monsters! We can't just assume it's dangerous, and not scared!" Molly says to him.
"There's nothing we can do about it. We just have to let the military handle it" Gil informs her. She just turns away and sighs.
Bubble Puppy barks at Gil, prompting him to look over.
"What is it boy? He asks the dog. Bubble Puppy whimpers.
"Somethings wrong Molly, usually when he does this, he's scared of something" Gil tells her.
"Yeah, but what's he scared of?" Molly asks, when the building starts to shake violently.
"Earthquake!" Deema shouts. Cracks appear on the roof, and everything starts to fall.
"Everyone outside now!" Mr. Grouper shouts. They all head outside, when Molly spots a giant foot out the window.
"I think there's something outside!" Molly shouts.
When they get outside the school, they turn around to see something they've never seen before. It was Kong, holding on to the building, tired and hurt. The guppies were shocked and scared at the presence of this giant ape.
"What is that thing?!" Deema yells.
"It looks like that giant ape monster General Adam was talking about!" Zooli said.
"You guys stay here, I'll go give the general a call!" Mr. Grouper said, swimming to find a phone. Kong then noticed the guppies staring at him, causing him to give them an angry look.
"I don't think he's happy with us" Gil claimed. Kong tried to move to them, but couldn't move anymore, and passed out, falling right towards them.
"LOOK OUT, JUMP!" Molly shouts. They all jump out of the way of Kong, who lands on the ground. They all get up, hurting from landing on the road, and look at the beast in front of them, passed out from exhaustion.
Meanwhile, underwater, Godzilla hears something. He growls angrily, and turns around, heading straight for the beach.
Authors Notes
This was an interesting chapter, giving us some background about the guppies and how they know about Godzilla and Kong came into their world, with it ending with them meeting Kong at the end. Next chapter will be about Kong meeting the guppies, and developing a bond with one of them, while also finally bringing Godzilla to shore, making his big debut to our group.
I also just want to mention: The guppies in this universe are about 10-11 years old, to make it more interesting, since Kong had a bond with Jia, who was10 years old. I'll see you next chapter, it will be a fun one!
