Thank you Megan39 for your review I am glad you like this story. There is a scene in this story that tells exactly what happened that night. It is quite a few chapters in. I can tell you it is not one of SM's Characters but he plays a metamorphic role in someone's life.

Thank you for the follows.

Chapter 8

In the end they decided to meet up at the diner for lunch on saturday, then Tyler was going to ask his mother if she could take them to Port Angeles so they could go to the mall and see a movie.

Friday came and went quickly. The five of them were at the diner sitting around a table before they knew it.

Sitting at a table near the window the boys topic of conversation was of course the supposed murder that happened last weekend. Bella kept having to remind herself there was no murder. It was just a rumor.

Someone did die, but both her father and pastor Weber told her it wasn't a murder. She was guessing they knew what they were talking about.

"I heard it happened right there in the parking lot." Tyler pointed out the window.

"No." Mike disagreed "I was at work. I would have seen it."

"Did you see anything?" Ty asked.

"Just flashing lights a few blocks that way. I live in the other direction. Mom refused to go look on our way home."

"A few blocks huh, What's down there." Tyler looked like he was trying to figure out a math problem.

"The bar and grill." A snide voice came from behind them. "That's where it happened, Right out front"

"Lauren, you saw it?" Tyler asked.

She shrugged and rolled her eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Tyler asked.

"Why would I? It's not like we have actual conversations when we hang out. Besides, who cares what really happened? You all have more fun making crap up anyway."

Before anything more could be said the lady behind the counter called her over.

"Later losers." Lauren grabbed her bag of food and left.

Our group fell into silence for a minute. Lauren had effectively halted the murder topic. Bella was grateful to the girl for once.

"So," Jessica started. "What do you think the new kids are going to be like?"

They threw around theories for the next half hour.

"Maybe they're all hot guys." Jessica happily theorized.

"Or five hot girls." Tyler threw in wiggling his eyebrows.

"I wonder if they're quintuplets." Angela Joined in.

"Maybe their parents had a kid every nine months." Mike added.

"Or two sets of multiples." Jessica said.

Bella feeling more comfortable around her new friends decided to put her two cents in.

"Or they're not related." Everyone turned and looked at her. With less conviction she continued. "Maybe it's more than one family, or a blended family."

Jessica's face lit up. "Maybe it's a commune."

"Or a cult." Tyler murmured.

The ideas only got more colorful from there. Among the most sensational were, "Maybe there aliens disguised as teenagers and there here to learn our human ways." "Maybe they're werewolves here to find new territory." and "Maybe they're vampires here to relive their livelyer days. Since the sun is rarely out this is the perfect place." They all laughed.

Tyler's mom had a van that could fit ten people. So there was plenty of room. Bella, Angela, and Jessica sat in the back. Mike and Tyler sat in the middle. And Tyler's parents sat in the front. His mom was driving them there and his dad was going to drive them back.

His mom said this trip was the perfect excuse for her husband to take her on a date.

'We're going dancing and grabbing something to eat." His mom bragged happily with the girls. "What kind of movie are you kids seeing?"

Tyler and Mike said "Action."

At the same time Angela and Jessica answered. "Romance."

They looked at Bella for the deciding vote. She didn't want to take sides so she added "Comedy?"

They all shrugged and agreed, Comedy.

When they got to the ticket booth the only comedy they were allowed to buy tickets for was the movie Storks. Great! Cartoons.

They may have dreaded having to watch the movie but, They all laughed through the whole thing. It was really funny.

After the movie they goofed around and looked through stores until Tyler's parents picked them up.

When Bella got home she called her mother. She wasn't going to tell her about the supposed murder or having to stay at the Webers for almost a week, but she did have a lot to talk about.

She also wanted to talk to Phill. She had to tell him thank you and that he was right, not having to be the adult for once and having friends was a wonderful experience.

Bella felt happier than she ever remembered but there was still something missing. She had friends but she would never have the perfect family; the perfect life, like she was sure her new friends did. Maybe if she gets to have her perfect romance that would make up for her not having her storybook family.
