Chapter 14

"Is that Alcohol?" Angela whisper yelled.

"Yeah, what else would it be." Lauren replied.

"You can't have that here." Jessica protested.

"Well it's here and we're going to drink it." Lauren announced.

"No, we're not." Jessica hissed.

"Oh come on. It's for the game."

"I've seen people do realy stupid things when drinking was involved." Alice proclaimed.

"Okay, look, there small cups. You can take as small of a sip as you want. We will only play the game till Angelas cup is empty. Since she is the host, emptying her cup means the game is over." Lauren bargained. "Plus we aren't going anywhere. It's not like we're going out on the town. Noone will find out."

"You know, she is partly right." Alice pointed out. "I'm not saying you have to, or even that you should, but it's kinda like that would you rather game.

Would you rather have your first experience drinking be with a few girlfriends who are settled in for the night or at a party where you could make a fool of yourself and end up doing something really stupid."

They looked at each other around the room. It was obvious they were all uneasy, but Alice had a point. They grudgingly decided to play the game.

"Great, I'll start. Never have I ever been married. See It won't be that bad."

Sitting in a circle Lauren filled the cups and passed them around. To the right of her was Alice, then Bella, Jessica and closing out the circle was Angela.

Alice went next. "Never Have I ever skipped out on a bill."

Lauren took a sip.

Bella had no Idea what to say. "Never have I ever," saying the first thing she could think of. "won the lottery."

Wanting to get this game over with Jessica looked over at Angela. "Never have I ever broken a bone."

All four girls took a sip. Bella and Angela choked on the foul liquid, then winced when it burned their throats. They looked at Alice surprised she didn't react the same. She just shrugged.

Angela took her turn. "Never have I ever skipped school."

Lauren and Alice both took a sip. Bella cringed then took the smallest sip she could.

"Bella, you rebel." Lauren said "Never have I ever snooped through someone's stuff. Come on Jessica, drink up."

Jessica scowled at her but still took a sip. She coughed and cursed.

"Never have I ever went 24 hours without showering"

Lauren and Bella took a sip.

Raising her cup to Bella Lauren said. "Sometimes shit happens."

Bella tipped her cup to the other girl and thought, Yeah like your mom forgets to pay the bills, or you have to sleep in your car, or; a few other memories came to her mind.

"Never have I ever sang karaoke."

Jessica, Angela, and Alice all took a sip.

"Seriously?" Alice said. "Okay next sleepover is at my place and you two are singing karaoke."

Bella looked horrified, Lauren just rolled her eyes.

Scowling in Laurens direction Jessica said. "Never have I ever kissed more than one boy in twenty-four hours."

Lauren and Alice took a sip.

"Oh come on." Alice protested. "Noones played spin the bottle? I really have to throw a party."

"Never have I ever used a fake ID."

Alice and Lauren took a sip.

"Never have I ever made up a story about someone that wasn't real. Jessica."

Jessica looked embarrassed but took a sip. Bella bumped her arm against Jessica as she took a sip. Jessica's embarrassment seemed to lessen. Bella smiled over at her.

"Never have I ever lost a bet."

All four girls took a sip.

Lauren looked over at Alice. "How did you manage that?"

Alice shrugged. "I am really good at predicting the outcome of any given situation."

"Like how us playing this game is going to be okay?" Angela asked.

"Oh, no. This is going to blow up."

Alice said it so matter of factly no one could tell if she was joking.

"It's your turn Bella." She said with a smile.

Yeah, she was joking. She had to be.

"Never have I ever been to Paris."

Alice took a sip. Lauren refilled the cups as they emptied. Angela only had two small sips from her cup.

They went around two more times. Angela having two more small sips. Lauren and Jessica seem to have a vendetta against each other. Their turns made sure to reveal unsavory parts of their personality.

When Jessica's turn came up again she looked as if she was out for blood. "Never have I ever tried to steal someone's boyfriend… Come on Lauren, what are you waiting for? Drink up."

Lauren smiled. "No. I have never "tried" to steal someone's boyfriend."

"You tried to steal Mike!" Jessica practically shreeked.

Angela shushed her and tried to calm her down but Lauren started to laugh.

"Oh honey no. First of all Mike is not your boyfriend. Second, I am only playing with him for a little while. You can have him back when I'm done. Until he finds someone he actually wants to be with that is."

"You Bitch!" Jessica leaped toward Lauren wanting to throttle her.

Bella wrapped her arms around the thrashing girl trying to hold her back.

Angela turned to Lauren. "What happened with you and Tyler."

Lauren shrugged. "I got bored. Speaking about being bored," She gulped down the rest of her cup. "I'm done here. I'm going to use your shower."

After checking to make sure her parents were still sleeping Angela went in to help an overwhelmed Bella comfort her friend. "Jess, try taking deep breaths in and letting them out slowly."

Bella looked around the room. "Where's Alice?"

"Right here." The small girl came into the room with a handful of paper towels. Pushing the paper towels into the rug where Jessica was sitting she said, "I figured you would all be too busy to clean this up."

Bella confronted Alice when Angela took over comforting Jessica.

"You knew that stupid game was going to "blow up". Why let it continue?"

"Sometimes things need to blow up." Alice shrugged. "So, tell me about this Mike."
