AN: Enjoy!

Shortly afterwards, a slightly surprised Wanda sat at a picnic table with Monica and Carol after they had explained things, while Vision and Darcy went to fetch ice cream.

"So, let me see if I understand all this.." said Wanda, slightly puzzled, making sure to keep one eye on Teddy and the twins as they played nearby, "Teddy is, um, an alien?"

"Well, that kind of depends on your personal definition of 'alien'" Monica shrugged. "But yeah.. He's not exactly from around here."

"And he's part Kree, part Skrull.." Wanda's brow crinkled, pulling information from bits and pieces she had heard from Carol in the past. "Aren't they supposed to be at war?"

"Yes" Monica nodded. "Teddy comes from a union that seemed impossible.. That's why his birth Mother had Carol bring him here, to keep him safe."

"From who?" Wanda frowned.

"Everyone," Carol frowned. "The Kree think he's an abomination that needs to be destroyed. The Skrulls think he's destined to bring peace. That's way too much pressure for a kid that young. He needs to just.. Be a kid, no matter what he can do."

"Which is where I came in" said Monica, as Vision and Darcy returned. "I've grown up regularly interacting with Skrulls, and I work with my Mom's agency, S.W.O.R.D.. I can care for Teddy and not freak out when he uses any of his abilities."

"So.." Said Vision, handing out ice cream cones to the adults, while Darcy fetched the children. "What exactly are little Teddy's abilities?"

"We don't know the full extent of them yet" Carol shrugged. "So far, we've recorded him turning green, which comes with enhanced size and strength.. Kinda like the Hulk, but with less anger and more pointy Skrull ears."

"We don't know what else he can do yet, if anything. Today's the first day I brought him out, so losing him was extra scary" Monica sighed. "I don't want to keep the little guy cooped up, but.."

"It's hard, when you're not sure whether you can stop him using his powers.." Wanda finished for her, glancing at the twins and Teddy as they approached with Darcy, all with ice cream cones in their little hands. "I understand. My boys have gifts too."

"Well, Teddy seems to be getting along well with the twins.." said Vision thoughtfully. "Maybe one day, we could have him over to our place for a play date."

"That's a great idea" Wanda agreed. "We live on the edge of o ferma.. A farm. There's plenty of room to play and run around, and as long as they're all supervised and don't do anything dangerous, they can practice using their powers without anyone seeing."

"That.. actually sounds pretty perfect" said Monica, smiling. "I've been worried about Teddy safely making friends, but if you're little guys have powers too, it doesn't matter if he turns big and green in front of them."

"Tommy once had a playdate with the full-sized Hulk, so no, big and green is not an issue" Wanda chuckled. "And we know how difficult it is to find sitters for super-babies, so if we're available, we're at your service.

"You probably aren't going to find anyone else this experienced with super-powered kids, Lieutenant Trouble" Carol pointed out, chuckling.

"Hmm.." Monica looked down at Teddy, his face now covered in ice cream. "What do you think, Teddy bear? Should we make a play date with Billy and Tommy?"

"Yeah!" Teddy nodded eagerly.

"How does that sound, boys?" Vision asked the twins. "Shall we have your new friend over?"

"Uh-huh!" Tommy agreed.

"Teddy come play!" Billy bounced excitedly.

"Then it's settled" Monica reached across the table to shake hands with both Wanda and Vision, grinning. "We'll make a date."

Wonderful" said Vision, also smiling. "I just have, er, one more question."

Wanda looked at him, confused, but Monica nodded. "Go ahead."

"Well.." Vision turned to Darcy, "I'm just a little uncertain where you fit into all this, Miss Lewis."

"Work study with S.W.O.R.D.. It was the final requirement of my Doctorate" Darcy shrugged. "Sure, it got a little weird once Monica brought little alien kid into the picture, but he's pretty cute, and let's face it, weird is actually pretty normal for me now.."

"Don't worry, Darce.." Monica chuckled. "I'll make sure my Mom signs off on all your paperwork. You've earned it after today.."

They spent the rest of the afternoon chatting, and playing with the children. Billy and Teddy seemed to have connected almost immediately, and for once, or at least for today, Tommy seemed happy enough to be a tag-along.

When the twins began to look a little exhausted, Wanda and Vision decided that it was probably time to go.

"We should probably head home" Wanda scooped up Billy, while Vision caught hold of Tommy.

"Yeah, it's about home time for us, too,'' Monica agreed, taking Teddy's hand. "It was nice to meet you Wanda, Vision. We'll definitely be in contact about that playdate.. Say bye to your new friends, Teddy.

"Bye bye, Billy" said Teddy, waving. "Bye bye, Tommy."

"Buh-bye, Teddy!" Billy waved.

"Buh-Bye!" Tommy echoed his brother.

"Goodbye for now, Teddy" Vision smiled at his sons' new friend. "We'll see you soon at our house, to play with Billy and Tommy."

"Until then" Wanda added with a smile, reaching down to gently ruffle Teddy's hair, "You be a good baietel for Monica, okay?"

"Okay" Teddy nodded, seeming a little shy.

"Again, it was nice to meet you Monica. You too, Darcy. And Carol, we'll probably see you next time we stop by the Compound?"

"I'll look forward to it" Carol smiled.

A few moments later, Wanda and Vision took to the sky with the twins, heading home.

"Uh.. are they allowed to do that?" Monica asked.

"Sure, they're Avengers" Darcy shrugged. "If they're not allowed, who is?"

"So.." Vision chuckled as they flew, "Our fun afternoon in the park turned out a little bit more exciting than we expected."

"It did" Wanda agreed with a smile. "But I wouldn't have it any other way."
