Trigger warning there is a rape scene in this chapter, I put a brackets around the scene if you want to skip it.

4Gracie04 Edward is an a**. that is all I can say, enjoy. :)

echo58 Thank You. SM did something similar with them where they had instant connection, but Bella was blinded by her shiny mysteries boy. It angered me so much in Breaking Dawn part 2 where Jacob says there connection didn't make sense, that it was because of the baby. So he was in love with her ovaries? How did there connection not make sense? I ranted at both the book and the movie.

SleepingBeauty118 Thank you, I'm glad you like it. I am really trying to keep updating, like I said tomorrow is going to be a very difficult day for me. I decided to update a day early instead of just skip it, I hope to be in a better frame of mind by Wednesday.

Thank you for your review.

Chapter 30

She cracked the door open to find Rosalie on the other side.

"Can we talk?"

Bella blinked away her surprise. "Um, yeah." She said as she gestured for the other girl to come in.

"No, in my room. Please"

Bella looked around her but there was no sign of Edward.

"He will be busy for a while."

Bella narrowed her eyes. "Okay." She said cautiously.

She slowly followed Rosalie down the stairs trying not to trip in the heels. The other girl seemed to be caring herself rigidly. After they were in the room the blonde took a breath but did not relax her stance.

"I'm sorry, I don't like parties."

You're not the only one, Bella thought remembering Jacobs reasons for not attending.

"I would like to tell you about what brought me to live with the Cullens."

"Okay." Bella said.

"When I was barely fourteen I met an eighteen year old named Royce King II. He was handsome and very popular. The moment he showed me the slightest bit of attention I swore I was in love.

He came from a very wealthy family. My father owned a failing business, so when he found out about my crush he encouraged my spending time with Royce. He even pushed for us to have a relationship thinking it would make his father more likely to invest in his business.

Royce would bring me a rose every day. He would say things like, 'This flower can not compare to your beauty.' he bought me sweets and pretty dresses. Jewelry that shines even in the dimmest lights."

Rosalie eyed Bella's new gem.

"There were signs that Royce might not be the best boyfriend. Simple things. Gripping my arm a little too tightly, wanting all my attention on him. He was demanding, easily angered when something didn't go his way. I ignored all that, because he was my Prince Charming.

There was a party Royce invited me to, I shouldn't have been there. The address was in a bad neighborhood and the guests were all seniors and older. There were drugs and alcohol there. I asked if we could leave but he refused me. He told me he wanted to show me off to his friends, that I was the prettiest girl around, and I was to be his.

[He brought me into a bedroom with three other boys. It had a bare, stained mattress in the middle of the floor. The smell was nauseating. I tried to leave only to find the door was locked and needed a key to be open. 'Uht uht uht,' Royce laughed, dangling a key out of my reach. 'Were going to have some fun first.' he told me, then he reached out and ripped open the front of my dress. I tried banging on the door to get help. They all laughed like it was the funniest thing. Royce grabbed me by the hair and flung me on to the mattress. Some of the strands were pulled out by the roots. I cried out. They liked seeing my pain. My fear."

A whimper came out of her then. She forced herself to continue.

"The other boys watched while Royce forced himself on me. They cheered him on. If that wasn't bad enough, when he was done, he let each one of his friends have a turn.]

They left me there broken and bleeding. It was light out before I managed to drag myself off the bed. I had to hold the tattered pieces of my dress together as I tried to find my way home. My father wouldn't let me go to the hospital. He had a better Idea." She gave a derisive laugh. "Royce King senior offered a very large donation for my fathers business, as long as we made all this go away. My father accepted.

I woke up screaming every night for months. My parents couldn't take it anymore. My father decided to try to get some help. He brought me to the hospital claiming I had night terrors.

Carlisle asked my father to leave the room. Before leaving he told me not to cause trouble. He meant to keep my mouth shut about what happened.

I told Carlisle everything. He asked me if I wanted to press charges, and explained all that would entail. I couldn't go through with it, especially at that point. It would be my word against theirs and I wouldn't have the support of my parents.

He called my father back in, explained how he could give me medication for anxiety and refer me to a counselor, but the screams at night would just take time, it might never stop. Daddy dearest just couldn't live like that. Carlisle told him he wouldn't allow me to go in to foster care because it could make things worse. He said he and his wife would gladly take me in, I thought he was insane, but here I am."

"Why are you telling me all of this?" Bella asked.

"Because I see those same signs in yours and Edward's relationship." Rosalie couldn't keep the snear out of her voice.

Bella shook her head. "You're wrong, Edward would never."

Rosalie sighed "Okay." She said. "If you want him back in his room, you should go get him from the party."

Bella carefully descended the stairs. Once safely on the ground she looked up to see a couple making out. She would have looked away quicker but she recognized them.

She laughed, of all people it was Mike and Jessica.

To her left she saw a tall figure approach.

"Jake." She said happily.

He looked down at her. Rubbing his knuckles gently down her cheek he said, "I'm sorry."

"What? Why?" She asked.

He turned her to face the back of a couch, sitting there was Edward. There was an unknown blonde straddling his lap. They were, as Jacob liked to say, eating each other's face.

"Do you want me to get you out of here?" Jake asked.

Bella nodded. She almost dropped the object in her hand when she remembered.

"Give me a minute." She told him.

It didn't take her long to locate Alice. Bella took the large heavy necklace off and placed it in Alice's palm. She then hugged the girl and thanked her for everything.

"But aren't you sleeping over?"

"Not tonight Ali." Bella said using Emmetts nickname.

"Come on Jake just one round." Laurens voice rang out above the music.

He took a step away from the table the group was gathered around.

"Never have I ever killed a man." Lauren yelled out.

Even though the music was still playing Bella couldn't hear it. She seemed to be seeing everything in slow motion. Jacob stopped and turned back to the crowd. All eyes seemed to be on him. He snatched a cup and downed the content. Then walked out the front door.

Bella chased after him. She hurried over to him and grabbed his arm.

"Why did you take that drink?" She demanded.

"The rules of the game." He answered numbly.

"No, you're not a murderer. You wouldn't do that, it's not true."

"How the hell would you know? You don't know me." He said defensively.

"I do, and I won't believe that."

"No, you think you know me but you don't. Not the real me."

"Then tell me, show me." She challenged him.

"You really want to know." He said, holding his keys out to her. "Take us to the cliffs."

He put his coat over her shoulders and went to get in the passenger side of his truck. She slipped her necklace into his coat pocket.

Bella had no idea how Jake could see, but with her hand in his he easily navigated the dark forest. When they broke through the trees he let go of her hand.

"Last chance Bells." He warned.

"Tell me." She insisted.
