Chapter 1: A 'Regular' Day:
Earth-Prime:
There has been an outbreak of supervillains lately, and the heroes of Earth don't believe that this coincidence, for something bigger is in play. After the defeats of Ricardo Diaz, Reverse Flash, Queen Rhea, Tal Rho (imprisoned), and the Legion of Doom, a void has been left behind a power vacuum in the criminal element; and H.I.V.E. (Led by Damien Darhk), Chase, Cadmus, the Children of Liberty, and the Thanatos Guild all seek to take control of the criminal underworld and bring each city down to its knees.
Smallville: 10:30 AM
Heat vision comes out of Clark and Kara's eyes, as they fight A.M.A.Z.O in the skies of Smallville, while Steel (John Henry Irons) and his wife, Madame Steel (Lena Luthor), alongside Martian Manhunter, Guardian (James Olsen), Sentinel (Alex Danvers), and Valor (Mon-El), fought Cadmus soldiers and the Children of Liberty; led by John Corben, Lillian Luthor, Ben Lockwood (Agent Liberty), and Lex Luthor, in his Lexosuit. Most of the people have been led out of the streets by Valor and Martian Manhunter, including the Cushing Family and Kent Family, as they watched in terror and anticipation as for they have had to take cover in secure buildings away from the windows.
"C'mon, guys, you can do this." Lois whispered, hoping that her husband and her cousin-in-law would win the battle, and that Lena, John Henry, and Kara's friends and sister stop the anti-alien supremacists from taking over Smallville.
Central City: 11:30 AM
The Flash (Barry Allen), alongside Kid Flash, Jay Garrick, Jesse Quick, Vibe, Elongated Man, and Frost, and even Captain Cold, Heatwave, Golden Glider, and Pied Piper take on the Central City Rogues; consisting of, Top, Rainbow Raider, Weather Wizard and his daughter, Weather Witch, the two Tricksters, and Mirror Master.
The Snarts and Rory fire at the Wizard with their guns, while the Weather Wizard fires lightning out of his hand and the Witch manipulates the storm clouds with her staff.
"YOU FOUR CHOSE TO SIDE WITH THE HEROES OVER US?! THE THREE OF YOU ARE TRAITORS!" Mirror Master yelled, criticizing the three former villains.
"Yeah, yeah. We all know that, Scudder, but I guess we prefer to be traitors instead of being villains." Snart said, standing his ground and showing his true allegiance, firing his Cold Gun at his former acquaintance.
Star City: 9:30 AM
In the rooftops of Star City, Oliver, Diggle, Nyssa, Canary II (Dinah), Sara, Vixen (Mari McCabe), Slade, and Ray Palmer take on H.I.V.E. soldiers (Led by Damien Darhk), the Thanatos Guild assassins (Led by Malcolm Merlyn, Athena and Talia Al Ghul), Vigilante, Kane Wolfman, China White and Cupid; while Roy Harper, Thea, Laurel, Rene, and Evelyn sure that no civilians were caught in the crossfire.
Once crowd control was finished, the five vigilantes went back to the rooftops and rejoined the fight, but Malcolm and Athena got the jump on Thea.
"THEA!" Roy was about to join in to help his girlfriend, but Laurel stopped him and held him back before he could.
"Thea's gonna be fine, Roy. And besides, she would want us to focus on taking down Darhk and the others before we can rescue her." Laurel said to Roy, as he was conflicted for the safety of his girlfriend.
After seeing what Thea can do, Roy came to a conclusion that she doesn't need protection from either her boyfriend or her big brother.
"You're right. Let's go." Roy said, as agreed with Laurel, as they head back to help out Oliver and the others
"Why do this to me, Thea?! I am your father!" Malcolm demanded to his daughter, truly heartbroken.
"I may be your daughter by blood, but Robert Queen was my real father! This is my home, and you won't have it for your own personal gain!" Thea responded firmly to her 'father'.
"Once more you deny your destiny, Thea Dearden Queen; to lead the League of Assassins as an Al Ghul. Don't fight it, embrace it, as the Magician embraced his role of Ra's Al Ghul." Athena taunted Thea, trying to force her to embrace the mantle of Ra's Al Ghul.
"Even if I wanted to, I would rather lead the League as a force for good, rather than lead it as a force of evil!" Thea declared.
"Perhaps I was being too submissive with you, girl! I believe it is time for one final lesson!" Malcolm sneered, glaring as he unsheathed his sword, while Thea did the same with her sword.
"The feeling is mutual, 'Father'!" Thea responded, coolly.
Athena unsheathed her sword as well, but an arrow knocked the sword out of her hands, it was Artemis' arrow.
"Athena, I will fight my daughter! You get the girl!" Malcolm ordered, readying himself for battle.
"As you wish, my liege." Athena obeyed, as she charged at Artemis, who charged towards Athena in return.
The father and daughter then charged at each other and clashed their swords at each other.
As 'Father and Daughter' engage in one final duel, Oliver, Slade, Mari, Nyssa, Evelyn, Ray, and the Lance sisters engaged the Thanatos and HIVE soldiers, Damien Darhk, and Kane Wolfman. While Dinah, Dig, and Rene took on Vigilante, Cupid, and China White.
Smallville: 11:30 AM
After fighting an hour, the Supers dismantled A.M.A.Z.O. and blasted their heat vision at each part to ensure that no one would ever use the deadly android ever again, and they even took the parts to space. The Children of Liberty and Cadmus agents, including Lex, Lillian, and Lockwood were defeated as well, so DEO and Smallville Police arrived afterwards to arrest and to take them in. The Superfriends and everyone in Smallville rallied together to help out others and to clean the collateral damage.
"Always something to worry about, isn't there?" General Lane asked, as he approached John Henry and Lena.
"Couldn't agree with you more, General." Lena agreed.
General Lane looked around but he couldn't help but feel there was a tense and thick atmosphere surrounding them.
"Normally I would say something that would lighten the mood, but something's not right here." General Lane stated as the atmosphere became hardened with tension.
"Now that you mention it, Sam, we may have won the battle, but something bigger is coming. But what could it be…?" John Henry said, as he and Lena also suspected that something bad must be happening today
Central City: 12:30 PM
It took a while but Barry and his team, alongside the Snarts, Mick, and Hartley, were finally able to stop the Rogues from destroying Central City. While the four former criminals left after the battle was finished, the heroes of Central City stayed behind to help the CCPD and the civilians to clean up debris and find any missing people who might've been caught in the crossfire.
"You guys are gonna put an old man like me into retirement early." Joe West playfully remarked, as he approached the Central City heroes.
"Sorry, Joe, but it's our calling to help people." Allen cheekily replied.
"No argument here, Barr. You know, your parents would be very proud of you right now." Joe complimented.
"I know. I just wonder if I'm honoring them right." Allen said, as he looked down to remember his parents.
"Well, stop wondering, son; because you are honoring them right. Joe said, giving his foster son the encouragement he deserves.
By the way, is it just me or is there something funny going on?" Joe asked, looking around as he couldn't help but feel there was a tense and thick atmosphere surrounding them.
"Now that you mention it, you're right. But what could it be…?" Allen said, semi-confirming Joe's suspicions.
Star City: 10:30 AM
Despite the blood spilled from them and from their enemies, Oliver, Nyssa, Slade, Mari, Ray and the rest of Team Arrow finally took down their enemies; Malcolm Merlyn, Damien Darhk, and Athena were finally defeated, as well as the Thanatos Guild. A.R.G.U.S. agents, led by Director Lyla Michaels, put restraining devices on Kane, China White, Cupid, Vigilante, and Talia Al Ghul.
"It never ends, does it, Johnny?" Lyla asked, as she approached her husband.
"Not really, Lyla." Diggle replied to his wife.
Lyla looked around but she couldn't help but feel there was a tense and thick atmosphere surrounding them.
"Is it just me or was this really easy?" Slade asked Oliver.
"Now that you mention it, you're right. This was too easy." Oliver answered.
"Please don't jinx it, guys." Roy asked, hoping that no one would ruin this 'nice' moment
"Mr. Wilson makes a good point, Mr. Harper. This battle was rushed and abrupt, our enemies were only strong in numbers and not in strength. While we may rely on others for help, we must rely on our strength and training; to attack with sheer numbers is not the way of a true fighter, so superstition has no part in this." Nyssa stated, with a serious expression as she suspects that something is amiss.
DEO /National City: 10:35 AM:
At the Cortex, the alarms go off in a 'Code Red' warning and H.R Wells runs to the computers to understand the full situation. Once H.R sees what's going on, he pales in fear but immediately alerts every superhero about the situation.
Star City: 10:40 AM:
Returning to the Bunker, Oliver and the rest of Team Arrow look into the urgent 911 call from H.R, and immediately pale, and realize who is behind this; Chase and Merlyn.
"He gave Chase a nuke?!" Oliver snarled, as he and the Team knew who gave Chase the weapon; Merlyn.
"That must've been why the fight was so easy; Malcolm and the others were all just diversions, to stray us from the true threat. If Chase succeeds, then millions in Star City will die, including us!" Dig exclaimed, theorizing the fallout that may occur and paling in fear of what could happen to Lyla and his children.
Not on my watch! Felicity, patch me through the DEO, Waverider, and S.T.A.R. Labs communications, now!" Oliver commanded his wife, coming to a conclusion on what they should do. Stop Chase, once and for all. For their friends and family; and for Star City.
Felicity then tapped into the communication systems as all communication servers were all linked to the S.T.A.R. Labs satellite.
"Done and done!" Felicity finally got through the communication networks, and patched her husband via coms.
This is the Arrow, initiating an emergency call to all members of the Justice League, current and reserve! Code Red! I repeat, Code Red! Everyone to these coordinates, NOW! Oliver ordered on an open channel, with immediate command to his allies.
Star City: 10:50 AM:
As Prometheus readied the nuke by PalmerTech, formerly Queen Industries, Oliver arrived in time and shot an arrow by Prometheus' left side, both avoiding the nuke and as a warning shot.
"So you've finally arrived, Queen…"
Prometheus turned around to see that Oliver was notching an arrow and aiming at him.
"ADRIAN CHASE! YOU HAVE FAILED THIS CITY!"
"Ah Oliver, my better half. I knew that Malcolm or Talia couldn't take you down." Prometheus taunted Oliver as he began to step away from the device, slowly, while he began to near the Throwing Star Killer, not even taking his aim off him.
"Well too bad for you, Chase, because this time I will…" Oliver snarled, before he saw the timer ready to countdown and stepped back out of fear and superstition.
"Why so jumpy, Ollie? All I need to do is press this red button, that's all you need to worry about." Prometheus taunted, as he neared his thumb by the red button on the remote control
"There they are! C'mon, Kid, just keep him talking…" Slade said, as he feared for what may happen to his ally and his city
"Ollie…!" Laurel said, as she feared for the outcome, for her home and her family
"Don't wait for us, Barry! Go!" Jay said as he, Wally, and Jesse trailed behind Allen. Allen then nodded, and sped to PalmerTech as fast as he could.
"You push that button and millions will die!" Oliver snarled, trying to buy some time before Prometheus could press the button on the control.
"Plus two more, Oliver, but since we're here; how about one last dance?"
As Oliver raced to stop Prometheus from setting off the detonator, blue portals, breaches, opened underneath Oliver and Chase and pulled them through, while Ray Palmer, Guardian, Roy Harper, Alex Danvers, Martian Manhunter, Thea Queen, and Ralph Dibney were sucked through the breach as well, and the others heroes stared in confusion and fear of what happened to their comrades.
National City (Earth 13):
Suddenly, Oliver and Prometheus fell in the streets of a dystopian city. As Oliver looked around,he noticed that the landscape was like National City but something was different. It looked dystopian, and had a statue of Supergirl standing over the world and each building seemed to bear a flag which bore the House of El in black and red.
"What the hell is wrong with this thing?!" Prometheus asked as he tapped the red button of his detonator, but nothing happened. He then threw the controller on the road pavement and went to land a blow on Oliver.
"Is this… National City?!" Oliver asked himself as looked around.
Prometheus was about to land a punch behind Oliver's head, but Oliver caught it before it could even make an impact. Oliver then turns Chase's arm around behind and pushes him aside as he lets him go. Oliver then picked his compound bow and took a fighting stance.
"You know what! To hell with you and your city, Oliver; because I'll do fine without you or them!" Prometheus snarled, as unsheathed his sword and readied his fighting position.
The two enemies stared at each other and then charged at each other, roaring battle cries filled with hate and Oliver and Prometheus engaged in a duel, Oliver gained an upper advantage thanks to his combat training from Ra's Al Ghul; and the two archers were caught in their battle, they didn't realize that many residents were recording live videos and watching the fight. Soon, Oliver finally defeats his nemesis.
"Now stay down! And shut up!" Oliver commanded as he zip-cuffed Prometheus and removed his weapons.
Suddenly, sirens blared as armored vehicles surrounded Oliver and an unconscious Prometheus as hordes of soldiers, Regime Soldiers, gathered around Oliver and Chase; and aimed their guns on the two archers, ready to open fire if necessary. Then a Regime helicopter flew above Oliver and Prometheus.
"Hands up, Queen!"
"Don't even try it, Archer"
Then suddenly, a figure in black, leather clothing, with a red bat symbol and a cowl symbolizing a bat, glides from the streets and lands on the ground to face Oliver. The figure was a female, with a red wig on her cowl; her name is Kate Kane, The High Councilor's First-In-Command and General of the One Earth Regime, Batwoman!
"Oliver Queen, by order of the High Councilor, Kara Zor-El; you are under arrest for inciting insurrection, attacks on our soldiers and our High Councilor, resisting arrest, and for treason against the One Earth Regime. But the High Councilor wishes to pardon you; join her and you will be granted amnesty, but resist once and I will see to it that you are to be executed." Batwoman ordered!
"I don't know who you think I am, but I am not your Oliver Queen." Oliver retorted, as he was confused about what was going on.
"Last chance, Queen; stand down, now, or else! THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING!" Batwoman demanded.
"I choose… neither of those choices!" Oliver said as he came to a conclusion.
"Then so be it…! Men, arrest Oliver Queen! For the High Councilor! For Earth!" Batwoman ordered.
"I don't think so…" Oliver said, as he notched an arrow.
Oliver then shot the arrow, which emitted a supersonic sound, courtesy of Cisco, that irritates everyones' eardrums. This diversion gives Oliver the opportunity to escape by aiming and shooting a grappling arrow to a skyscraper, before zipping above the Regime soldiers and Batwoman, and even though restrained; Prometheus uses the opportunity to break his own fingers as he breaks free of the zip cuff, escaping the chaos in the process.
"NO! MEN, OPEN FIRE!" Batwoman angrily commanded.
The Soldiers began to open fire on Oliver, as he got away. Oliver escaped but not before getting hit by a stray bullet.
Later:
"Pathetic… If you are the best soldiers that the High Councilor gathered, then maybe you require more training!" Batwoman snarled, as she and Regime soldiers put arrested civilians in a Regime vehicle, prisoner transport.
"Apologies, General Kane…" One Regime soldier apologized, as Batwoman reprimanded them for being 'weak and undisciplined'.
"And next time, wipe out your drive!" Batwoman snarled, before leaving to interrogate the civilians.
"So they weren't Insurgents?" Regime Soldier 1 asked.
"No, amateurs; like those Children of Liberty idiots. I still can't believe we lost the Arrow." Regime Soldier 2 said, still vexed that Oliver escaped their grasp.
"Yeah… Let's just hope she doesn't find out…" Regime Soldier 1 said, fearing the consequences for losing the Arrow
Unbeknownst to Batwoman and the Soldiers, Oliver was observing the conversation from a rooftop of a skyscraper.
"Kara the High Councilor…? Regime…? I'm in a nightmare…" Oliver muttered.
What was this place? And what happened here…?
