Arrowverse Injustice: Chapter 2: Revelations
Earth 13/New National City: Nightfall:
Ray Palmer, Guardian, Roy Harper, Alex Danvers, J'onn, Thea Queen, and Ralph Dibney were on top of a rooftop in National City. It looked really… quiet.
"Where are we? Did… Did we fail…?" J'onn asked fearfully, thinking that they failed in stopping Prometheus, as he and the others looked around this strange, ominous world.
"I don't think so, J'onn, I think we're on another Earth." Ray suspected.
"Another Earth…? There's more than one Earth…?" Roy asked, baffled.
"We have 52 known Earths, but there are infinite Earths; a vast and endless multiverse. So if we're on one of those infinite Earths, we have to find out the history of this place and if Chase did it; then we have to find a way to get back to our Earth soon." Ralph confirmed, as he feared the worst back on Earth Prime.
"I wonder if S.T.A.R. Labs or the DEO picked up any sort of breach activity. Alex, Ralph, see if you two try to contact them." J'onn orders, wondering if anyone at either location would answer their call.
Alex and Ralph both attempt to call S.T.A.R. LABS and the DEO on their comms, but no response.
"I can't make contact with the DEO." Alex says.
"Same here with S.T.A.R. Labs. Maybe it's the devices or something." Ralph theorized.
"Guys, look!" Thea says, pointing to a building that distributed the symbol of the One Earth Regime as everyone turned to where she was pointing. Each building around National City seemed to be filled with banners representing the Regime. Then, a billboard with the Regime banner played a global broadcast.
"Five years ago today, a series of tragic events unfolded and in the process; Central City and National City were destroyed and millions of lives were lost. In response to these events, Kara Zor-El founded the One Earth Regime to ensure peace and security around the Earth." The PSA said as the billboard showed images from old newspaper headlines from the last 5 years; from the destruction of both National and Central City, the founding of the Regime, and their dedication to bring 'peace' to the world.
"So today, let us remember those lost to us from the horrific events from five years ago and let us give thanks to the High Councilor and the One Earth Regime for ensuring balance and tranquility to our world!" The PSA said as the billboard now showed the image of Overgirl leading the Soldiers to battle, and arresting protestors.
The Earth Prime heroes looked and listened to the broadcast, shocked at the news that appeared from the billboard as these revelations made them all shocked with silence and fear.
"Kara… The High Councilor…?!" Alex quietly shouted, as she was scared of whatever happened to Kara on this Earth.
"So that's why we can't contact the DEO or S.T.A.R. Labs… But where the hell are we and what happened here…?!" J'onn fearfully said.
"I'm honestly not sure, but there was a breach… Cisco, maybe?" Ray theorized.
"Could be, or it could be Gypsy, or Breacher." Ralph also theorized.
"Well if there's a Barry or an Oliver on this Earth, then we have to find them and find our way home." Ray said, hoping they could get the answers they need.
"Ok, let's head to the Bunker, assuming there is one. But we have to steer clear of the Regime; there are too many of those Soldiers and they're too dangerous." Thea said, pondering on how they can get to the Bunker.
"Maybe we can help you seven with that." A voice breaks them out of their thoughts.
Four figures walk towards the Earth Prime heroes, revealed to be Lena Luthor in her Madame Steel, a weary Vibe, Black Canary, The Flash, and Speedy.
"Laurel…? Lena…? Cisco…? Wally…? Thea…?"
"Roy…!" Speedy sees Earth Prime Roy, and is reminded of that day, five years ago.
No…, you're not this Earth's Roy." Speedy said, immediately remembering the true reason why they brought them here.
"'This Earth's Roy?' What do you mean?" Thea asked, confused at her counterpart's hesitation at greeting Roy.
"We'll explain everything back at the Quiver, but we have to move fast." Black Canary commanded, leading the way to the Bunker.
"You heard Laurel, let's go!" Roy commanded, as he and the Earth Prime Heroes followed the Insurgents.
The Quiver/Starling City (Evening)
As Vibe, Black Canary, Madame Steel, and Flash led the Earth Prime heroes to their base of operations, they finally arrive at what appears to be this Earth's version of the Bunker, codenamed 'Quiver', and they are amazed at what they see; soldiers in their armors, some in bunk beds resting, others in a training room, a tech room (which is mostly run by Cisco, Overwatch, and Madame Steel), a medical room (run by Frost and Sentinel), and a boardroom for missions.
"Amazing, it's like the DEO…" Alex said, amazed at the Quiver's functions, with James and J'onn impressed.
"… mixed with STAR Labs…" Ralph said, amazed as well at the technology.
"… and A.R.G.U.S. …" Thea said, impressed alongside Roy.
An artificial intelligence appears in front of them, startling them.
"Welcome to the Quiver. I am Elizabeth, an artificial intelligence created by Lena Luthor, and we are the Insurgency; a resistance movement dedicated to bringing down the One Earth Regime and bringing peace back to our world." Elizabeth announced to the Earth Prime people.
The leader of the Insurgency, the Arrow, alongside Vibe, Black Canary, Frost, Flash, and Sentinel then walks towards the Earth Prime Heroes and his doppelganger; as Roy and Thea are greatly surprised at the appearance of the former's lookalike.
"So the device did work after all, Cisco, nice work. We've been expecting you guys, welcome to our 'home'". Arrow greets his visitors, but then is frozen as he looks at Roy. He almost stumbles but regains his posture as he remembers the true reason he brought them here.
"So there is an Oliver Queen on this Earth, but what about Barry? Where is he?" Ray asks, as he looked around the Quiver searching for Barry.
Arrow, BC, Vibe, Frost, Flash, and Sentinel pale and freeze at the mention of the name of their fallen friend. They look at each other, asking themselves how to answer Ray's question.
"Where's Barry?" Ralph asked this time, nervous for his friend.
"We don't talk about Barry that much here…" Vibe responded, solemnly.
"What do you mean…?" Roy asked, as everyone began to worry for Barry on this Earth.
"We'll explain later, but it looks like you guys need some food and rest." Frost responds, promising to answer their questions later.
After having some dinner from the mess hall, the Earth Prime heroes finally rest at their designated rooms. Sleep overcomes them, but not before Arrow felt something he hasn't felt in a long time: fear. Fear of how he was going to tell everyone about what happened to this Earth's Barry, one of the best people he knew and the man he saw as a brother, and for the actual history of this Earth.
At Sentinel's quarters, she was resting in her bed while twisting and turning as he remembered the aftermath two days later.
Flashback: The Waverider, Temporal Zone/ 5 Years Ago (Two Days After The Explosions) (Noon):
After the destruction of both Central City and National City, Supergirl (who was grieving, weary, and disheveled) couldn't help but stare at multiple news articles and footage that played on the monitor at the Bridge; each one detailing the destruction of both cities and the number of casualties lost in the blast. Gideon never appeared, once, on the monitors, the result of Barry's death and that caused the creation of a new timeline; a darker timeline for what's ahead… . Just as she was staring at the monitors, Batwoman and Sentinel walked towards Supergirl, both behind her.
"Kara, how are you…?" Sentinel softly began.
"ANGRY…!" Supergirl answered, as she looked up from the console; revealing a disheveled, broken appearance, a person filled with sadness, hate, and lost hope.
"And you have every right to be. Chase and Lex had it coming and they deserved it!" Batwoman said, supporting Supergirl's decision in killing Chase and Lex.
"Kate!" Sentinel reprimanded. Superirl then turned around to face Batwoman and Sentinel. "Kara, you don't kill. Other than Non, Parasite, and Rhea, you never killed. What changed?" Sentinel asked, hoping that her sister didn't change.
"What changed was that he took everything from us! From me! Barry, my Barry… Winn…, our friends and family…! Everyone we ever knew and loved… gone! Do I regret it?! NO!" Supergirl snapped, with tears streamed down her face as she remembered those they all lost; her fiance, her and Alex's family and friends.
"I'm not blaming you for what you did, and I would've done the same because those two monsters also took Maggie from me." Sentinel said, with tears as she remembered Maggie, Winn, and her parents.
"But what you did wasn't justice, Kara; this was murder! You're not an executioner!" Sentinel said, trying to reason with her sister. But Batwoman 'saw' what Sentinel was doing, and decided that she was having none of it.
"You dare moralize your own sister?! How many times did the police, FBI, or the DEO try to catch Lex?! How many did he escape, to kill again and again? Do you even care?!" Batwoman demanded.
"Yes, I care! But as an agent of the DEO, there are protocols that must be followed and obeyed." Sentinel said, answering Batwoman.
"Your rules are old and weak, twisted by those like Lex only to escape just punishment! That or they simply don't apply to those rules at all!" Batwoman sneered.
Batwoman then walked towards the console to turn up the volume of a news coverage of Bialya, which showed images; one shows a casualty crushed in the rubble, the result of a current conflict, and others with civilians running from tanks and soldiers of the Bialyan government.
"… And in other news, a shelling from of Bialya is believed to have claimed thousands of lives in the city of Gared as the country remains unabated inside this internet black; the result of severed telecommunications in a attempt to prevent information from reaching outside borders, and this comes a few days after a strongly-worded resolution from United Nations."
"Kate's right, this can't go on forever…!" Supergirl resolved, going to set the Waverider's coordinates to Bialya, in the present day.
Just as Supergirl set the coordinates on the console, she was unaware of Batwoman glaring at Sentinel as the latter returned the glare, and none of the three were aware that Valor was listening to the entire argument and couldn't help but disapprove of what Batwoman was insinuating.
Outside of Bialya: The Present Day, 2019:
As the Waverider landed outside of the Biaylian border in the present day and cloaked its tracks, Supergirl walked right out of the Timeship and headed straight to the city but Sentinel walked behind her and grabbed her arm, stopping her in her tracks.
"Kara, please… if you do this, then you'll throw away everything the Justice League stands for, everything you and Clark stand for… ." Sentinel pleaded, hoping that her sister would listen to reason.
"If I do this, then at least I won't be held back by ideals that don't protect the innocent! Now, you can either let me go or I can teach you a lesson like I did with Mon-El!" Supergirl sneered, as she turned around and glared at her sister.
"Kara, you're grieving. As I am." Sentinel said, letting go of Supergirl's arm.
"No more, Alex! Never again! We were wrong!" Supergirl yelled, showing her resolve and took off to Bialya, with Sentinel looking above with a saddened look on her face.
Bialya's Capitol Building, Gared, Bialya:
At the Capitol Building of Bialyan President, Bialyan soldiers are met by Supergirl (who is in no mood to play either 'peacemaker' or 'cheerleader'. She tore the doors of the entrance and went inside to confront the president, she was met by bullets from the soldiers but she never backed away and made her way while incapacitating the soldiers; whether by pushing them with her superstrength (holding back) or removing/destroying their weapons.
At the Main Office, the Bialyan President, Colonel Rumaan Harjavti, and other Bialyan officials were in the middle of a meeting to discuss the future of their nation until they heard the arrival of Supergirl. The soldiers and bodyguards stood by at the door and readied their aim for the Girl of Steel's arrival, as they waited in fear and anticipation for the moment that Supergirl arrived.
As they all heard gunfire and screams from the soldiers, Supergirl eventually arrived at the Main Office to face Harjavti but not before taking down his men.
"Mr. President, I hope you're not too 'busy' at the moment!" Supergirl sneered as she walked toward Harjavti
"You… You can't do this!" Harjavti said, as he and the Bialyan officials stepped back terrified at the Girl of Steel's pending actions.
"Yes, I can! I see that now…!" Supergirl said, glaring the 'President' of Bialya
"This is called munity! You have no have no right to do this! I am their leader!" Harjavti self righteously declared, but Supergirl had no patience to hear his lies
"A leader?!" Supergirl then lifted Harjavti out of his office and took him to where everyone rallied to see their 'leader' out of office. "You were supposed to care for your own people, protect them, and serve them! A true leader serves his country by putting his people and city first before anything else! Would a leader persecute his own people, treat them as slaves, tools, prisoners?! You, Mr. President, are no leader… not anymore!" Supergirl demanded as she showed Harjavti the true actions of this conflict. Every civilian and soldier looked up at the sky, with either joy or in fear, as they all saw Supergirl descend with Harjavti, throwing him to Batwoman and Superman as the former cuffed the now former Biaylan President.
"Call in reinforcements for a search and rescue, and take him away!" Supergirl commanded, as Batwoman and Superman began a search and rescue for the Biaylans affected by this conflict.
Sentinel, Arrow, and Valor saw everything from the Waverider, and they were shocked at Supergirl's actions and feared what would happen next.
(Present Day) The Next Morning:
The following morning, the Arrow, Speedy, Madame Steel, Vibe, Black Canary, Frost, Flash, and Sentinel called the Earth Prime Heroes to the boardroom for the history of Earth 13 once they were fully awakened and had breakfast from the mess hall. It was a tough decision, but ultimately; Arrow decided that he should be the one to tell the whole story, with the others taking turns.
Once everyone else arrived at the boardroom, Arrow closes the shutters by the windows so they could get privacy while telling the former and the latter the story of the last five years.
"It happened five years ago today. Me and my world's Roy and Diggle were searching for Chase but we were blinded by his trail, we didn't find out his true goal until it was too late. He, alongside Lex, kidnapped Barry and planted two devices in his heart and linked them to his heartbeat; they were actually triggers to two nuclear warheads." Arrow begin, as he looked down in shame, regret and anger.
"Chase and Luthor used kryptonite, both red and silver, which they stole from my lab, to make Kara lose control; which ultimately succeeded. Kara believed she was fighting Rhea, but it was Barry…" Madame Steel continued and revealed, to everyone's (except for her's, Arrow's, Vibe's, Black Canary's, Caitlin's, Flash's, and Sentinel's) shock.
"What…?!" Ralph paled, shocked that this Earth's Barry was killed.
"No…!" Ray whispered, saddened for Barry.
"Oh my God…!" Alex, J'onn, and James whispered, horrified that Barry died and that Overgirl had to go through something like this in this reality.
"And the triggers were in Barry's heartbeat. So when he died, Central City and National City died with him. Dad, Cecile, Jesse, Harry, Patty, Julian, Winn, Maggie, the Danvers, and everyone else were all killed in those blasts." Flash explained as he silently grieved for his family; his father, mother, sister, foster brother, stepmother and girlfriend. He was the last member of the West family name. Alex was shocked as J'onn took notice; even though she moved on, learning that a version of Maggie died on another Earth just broke her heart.
"Me, Wally, Caitlin, and our Ralph, we were investigating what we hoped to be a lead on Barry's location, but it was a trap; courtesy of Chase." Vibe explained, but his body shaked in sadness with tears glistening.
Chase knew we were coming, so he set up each of those traps to counter Ralph's meta abilities; Gideon and I tried to save Ralph, but the injuries were very severe and Gideon wasn't an expert in metahuman physiology. Our Ralph died protecting us." Frost took over, comforting Vibe as she cried while remembering not just Elongated Man and Barry, but also the hellish nightmare from that day. The Earth Prime heroes were so shocked, they even looked at Ralph, who went pale as he learned that his counterpart died on this Earth but he was also proud that he protected Vibe and Frost in the end.
"After that, Kara blamed herself because in her mind; she believed that she destroyed both National City and Central City. And in her guilt, she founded the One Earth Regime and started to patrol the world 24/7 to stop and prevent crimes from happening. Anyone who stands in her way is just asking to either be killed or be imprisoned." Sentinel said, as she and Arrow remember that day she revealed herself to Earth-13.
Flashback: The United Nations Headquarters, Manhattan, New York City/5 Years Ago (Two Days After The Explosions and One Day After Arresting Harjavti) (Noon):
At the United Nations Headquarters, Supergirl (with Batwoman and Supermanby her side) makes her way to the podium at the Assembly Hall and speaks to all members and leaders of the world.
"You all know me as Kara Zor-El, the Girl Of Steel and Champion of Earth; Supergirl, but my Earth name is Kara Linda Danvers. I am… was a reporter for Catco Worldwide Media. I spent my time as a reporter, viewing the evils of this world, and I spent my time as a hero fighting those same evils. And I failed you all on both sides. What happened to Central City and National City will never be allowed to occur ever again…!" Supergirl announced to the world, as she expressed with a saddened expression and then with a resolved tone and look.
(Simultaneously) The Waverider/Temporal Zone:
Every member of the Legends, Team Flash, Team Arrow, and the Superfriends watched the broadcast on the Waverider, each member was filled with fear, anticipation, while others were filled with hidden joy.
"She wouldn't…!" Atom said, shocked that Supergirl would do something like this
"She is…!" Whit Canary responded, scared as well as shocked.
"I don't care about your homes, religious beliefs, or your petty squabbles. I don't care if you're a lawbreaker, vigilante, rebel, terrorist, dictator, or president; monsters will have no right to walk free!" Supergirl announced to the world, with a harsh, cold tone.
"About time!" Red Arrow said, pleased at the announcement.
"Not now!" Arrow silenced his half-sister.
"Which is why I am calling a worldwide ceasefire. All forces, hostile or enemy, will stop… or I will stop them! No one has the right to take innocent lives. No one! No more, never again!" Supergirl resolved.
Every person in the Assembly Hall applauded at the announcement as they believed that Supergirl helped them find a solution to world peace, unaware of the consequences that were ahead.
'This is for you, my love.' Supergirl said silently, closing her eyes and bowing her head as she thought of Barry.
"Kara… No…! Please don't do this…!" Sentinel pleaded, hoping that this is a nightmare.
"No…!" Arrow said, shocked.
"Forgive me, Barry. I failed you…!" Valor said, believing that he failed the promise he made to Barry.
End Flashback:
"Wait, Oliver, you said that Kara was affected by Red Kryptonite, correct?" Alex asked, as she and J'onn already thought of a solution.
"Yes, why…?"
"Maybe she can be saved. Our world's Kara was hit by Red Kryptonite years ago, but we made an antidote in time and cured her. And while the cure is back on our Earth, we know how to recreate the cure." J'onn said, already coming up with a solution to save the High Councilor
"That's what we've been trying to do, J'onn. But the problem is that the Regime has too many soldiers and most of us are either spread thin or prisoners to the Regime, we don't have enough people, so that's why we brought you here; to help us." Black Canary said, revealing why they brought Oliver, Roy and the others over to their Earth.
"So other than the soldiers, you seven are all that remain?" J'onn asked, skeptical that only seven heroes/rebels and a small army would stand a chance against the Regime.
"Not exactly." A voice said.
A figure entered the board room, revealed to be this Earth's Benjamin Lockwood, in his Agent Liberty armor; as J'onn and Alex stared at him in shock and confusion, while James looked furious.
"You!" James snarled, he stood up and attacked Lockwood by landing a strike in his face.
James was about to deliver another punch, but J'onn and Alex held him back.
"James, no! Stop!" Alex ordered as she and J'onn restrained James.
"Are you serious?! What is he doing here?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" James snarled, as he looked at Lockwood with a hateful spark in his eyes.
"Stand down, Olsen! He's not your Lockwood, he's with us." Arrow demanded, as he, Sentinel, and Flash helped Lockwood back up.
"General, Lieutenant, Sergeant, thank you." Lockwood thanked Arrow, Sentinel and Flash for helping him back up. "And to answer you question, Mr. Olsen; yes, I am the Ben Lockwood of this Earth but unlike your Lockwood, I never terrorized any aliens or engaged in any form of human supremacy. I lead the Children of Liberty to revolt against the High Councilor and to distract her Soldiers." Lockwood revealed, much to Alex's, J'onn's, and James' realization. Differents Earths, different possibilities.
"Plus, Kara doesn't know that her best friend is secretly funding the Insurgency." Madame Steel said, revealing her true allegiance to the Insurgency.
"I know that you three do not trust me, and that is fine, but I am asking that we put these differences aside for now and focus on the true problem here." Lockwood requested J'onn, Alex, and James, who were skeptical about him. Even though this wasn't Agent Liberty of their Earth, he was right. They have to put their differences aside for now and focus on the true threat of the One Earth Regime.
"I still can't believe she lost it this bad, even with what Chase and Lex did." Roy said, still unable to believe that Barry died or that the High Councilor became a tyrant.
"Same…" Thea agreed with her boyfriend.
Flashback: The Bunker (Underneath Verdant), Starling City/5 Years Ago (Two Weeks After The Explosions):
At the Arrowcave, Arrow was practicing archery to clear his head after everything that happened in the last two weeks. Just as he was about to finish up, Supergirl went downstairs and saw him practice his archery skills and waited for him to finish.
Once Arrow was finished, he put his bow down and removed his quiver.
"Roy, Thea, and Laurel said I'd find you here" Supergirl began.
What do you want, Kara?" Arrow asked, knowing that Supergirl was behind him.
"The funeral was today, and you didn't even bother to show up." Supergirl snarled, angry that Arrow never appeared for the funerals for Barry and their closest friends and family; those that were killed in the blasts.
"I did show up, and you need to stop what you're doing." Arrow said, correcting Supergirl.
"Stop what? Saving lives? Bringing dictators to justice? Or is it stopping crime all over the world?" Supergirl demanded.
"You're scaring everyone, Kara. Even I'm scared." Arrow said, hoping that Supergirl would listen to reason.
"GOOD! THEY SHOULD BE SCARED! TOO SCARED TO PRESS THE BUTTON OR SCARED PULL THE TRIGGER! YOU TAUGHT ME THAT THEY SHOULD BE TOO SCARED TO HURT EACH OTHER!" Supergirl angrily yelled.
"But not in the way you're doing, Kara. You're not a god, not a judge, or jury or executioner." Arrow peacefully retorted.
"Oliver, I took only two lives, TWO; the lives of monsters, to save millions!" Supergirl sneered.
"It always starts with one, Kara, and then another, and another…" Arrow stated.
"I came here to make peace, but all I see is that you can't understand what they took from me! Barry and I were supposed to be married, be together forever and have our happy ending; we were planning a family, having children. And they took everything from me! THEY TOOK HIM FROM ME!" Supergirl angrily said, as tears began to glisten her eyes as she remembered her fiance.
"I understand that you're in pain, Kara." Arrow solemnly sighed.
"THEN WHY DID YOU LET HIM DO THIS TO ME, OLIVER?! WHY DID YOU?! Look at you; sitting in the dark, ignoring everyone beside you. How many friends of theirs and yours died?! HAVE YOU CONSOLED ANY OF THEM?! HAVE YOU?!" Supergirl angrily snapped, as tears finally streamed down her face.
"YOU THINK I'M THAT COLD HEARTED?! BARRY WAS MY BEST FRIEND, AND IT KILLED ME WHEN I FOUND OUT HE WAS CHASE'S NEXT VICTIM!" Arrow yelled, finally losing his patience, as Supergirl stopped for a moment to take in his words.
"He was a good kid… Losing Barry… reminded me of how I failed Yao Fei, Shado, Slade, Akio and Maseo, Taianna, Tommy, and my mother… . Barry was my best friend and a brother to me." Arrow said, as he remembered everyone he lost, close friends and his family.
Supergirl couldn't feel anything but shame and sadness at what she said to Arrow, she was focused on herself, she didn't take a moment to ask how everyone else was feeling. Not Alex, J'onn, Olsen, Caitlin, Wally, or Vibe.
"Oliver…" Supergirl began, hoping she could start this conversation over again, but she was cut off.
"You should go, Kara, before one of us does something we'll regret for the rest of our lives." Arrow said, as he hoped that things wouldn't escalate too far.
Supergirl was about to say something that could hopefully make Arrow reconsider, but she decided against it and left the Bunker; as Arrow closed his eyes tightly, mourning for Barry and everyone who died in National and Central City.
End Flashback:
"And ever since that day, Kara blamed herself for letting Chase and Lex gain the upper hand against her and blamed me for not stopping Chase; and the worst part is that she's right." Arrow said, as he remembered the High Councilor's words from that day.
"Just a quick question… where are our counterparts?" Thea asked, hoping to know where her counterpart was, even where Roy's counterpart was.
Arrow, Speedy and the six Insurgency members paled as Thea asked them where their counterparts were. Knowing that there was no dodging it or going back, Arrow, Speedy and Black Canary decided to tell Thea and Roy the whole story; complete with honesty.
"It was about a month after the explosions… Kara arrived in Star City to remove the dangerous criminals and we were trying to stop her and her intentions. Me, Laurel, Sara, Nyssa, Thea, Roy, Wally, Cisco, Caitlin, Ray, Alex, Mon-El, and J'onn arrived at Slabside to stop them but Dinah, Curtis, Evelyn, Diggle, Rene, Emiko Adachi, Clark, and Olsen joined her side and fought against us." Arrow revealed, leaving Thea, Roy, Alex, J'onn, James (who was disgusted with his counterpart), and Ray shocked. None of them could believe that the other versions of their friends and allies on this Earth betrayed Arrow for the High Councilor.
"And in the process, the villains and criminals, metas included, who we all fought and arrested were all released from their cells; China White, Cayden James, Ricardo Diaz, Damien Darhk, Ben Turner, Stanley Dover, Talia Al Ghul, Carrie Cutter, Malcolm Merlyn, Daniel Brickwell, and more." Speedy continued, as she remembered it; the horrible nightmare of that day.
Flashback: Slabside Penitentiary/5 Years Ago (One Month After The Explosions):
At the Slabside, Supergirl (alongside Batwoman, Superman, and Olsen), walked down the halls of Slabside with Felton following them from behind.
"But this facility is escape-proof and strong in a security sense, Supergirl." Felton pleaded as he followed Supergirl, hoping that she and the others would not do this.
"I'm afraid we have lost confidence in this facility, Warden. The prisoners will be transferred to a secure location when we get them out of their cells" Supergirl responded coldly
"And who gave you the right to decide that?!" Felton demanded, walking in front of Supergirl's path
"No one!" A voice said, revealing Arrow, The Lance/Canary Sisters, Nyssa, Speedy, Arsenal, Flash, Vibe, Frost, Atom, Sentinel, Valor, and Martian Manhunter dropping from the skylight window, and landing in front of them; and with that Felton just ran off to avoid conflict.
"You six were right, they're exactly where you said they would be." Batwoman said to the six people assisting them, revealing to be Spartan, Artemis, Black Siren, Wild Dog, Mr. Terrific, and Red Arrow standing behind Supergirl's team
"Of all the people you swore to protect, you chose to protect the monsters you put away because of some promise you made to Tommy." Spartan sneered to Arrow.
"John… Rene… Dinah… Evelyn… Emiko… Curtis…? What are you doing…?" Black Canary asked in utter shock and disbelief.
"Bringing these monsters to justice! We're standing with Supergirl, and look who you're standing with! China White, Cupid, Merlyn, Brick, Star City Slayer, basically every monster you and Allen put away in this cell." Red Arrow answered.
"Clark, James, how can you two agree to this…?!" Sentinel asked, disapproving of their actions.
"I don't, but in a way, Kara's right. If that was me who lost Lois or the boys to Lex, I'd be devastated and I would've done the same!" Superman responded with honesty.
And what if I lost my sister, Kelly, or my mother, or my Aunt Vi and my cousins? What should I do then? Clark and I don't agree with what Kara is doing, but what choice do we have?" Olsen said as well.
"We always have a choice, you two." Valor stated.
"I know you're not gonna help us, but you're not going to stop us." Supergirl said, standing her ground.
"Kara, please be reasonable, you need to leave now! You don't have to do this!" Arrow reasoned.
"Sure, she does. Supergirl has a scar now, don't you? The need to unleash your darkest thoughts, to take your anger out on every criminal, all because you couldn't protect the love of your life. I see it in your eyes, Danvers." Dover taunted Supergirl.
"Mr. Terrific, Inmate 9922; Stanley Dover the Star City Slayer!" Supergirl sneered, glaring at the psychopath.
Using his T-Spheres (advanced and upgraded with vibrational frequencies from Vibe), Holt breached Dover out of his cell and sent him to somewhere as Arrow, Vibe and Arrow's team watched in shock.
"Where did you take him, Curtis?!" Vibe demanded.
"All you need to know is that it's escape-proof and that he'll be okay." Mr. Terrific coldly responded.
"Cayden James, breach him next." Batwoman said.
A breach opens underneath Cayden James and he is then sucked via the breach.
"Last chance, Curtis; stop!" Arrow warned
"Alright, Diaz, time for you to go!" Mr. Terrific said.
"You asked for this, Curtis…! Overwatch, now! Vibe shouted.
Electricity then crackled in the T-Spheres and they all dropped to the floor fried.
"WHAT?! NO!" Mr. Terrific shouted, as he was shocked that his T-Spheres were instantly destroyed. That's impossible…! The virus on these T-Spheres… you and Felicity uploaded it while you made the upgrades…?!" HMr. Terrificolt questioned, realizing that Vibe uploaded the virus as he analyzed his now destroyed T-Spheres and pointedly accused both him and Overwatch.
"As a contingency; in case anyone else you used them for the wrong purposes, or if you went rogue!" Vibe answered, stating his and Overwatch's reasons for uploading the virus on the T-Spheres.
"This is your final warning! Stop this now, Kara!" Arrow warned as he notched a green kryptonite arrow and aimed at Supergirl.
"Alright then, Oliver, if it's a fight you want, then it's a fight you will have!" Supergirl said, as her eyes began to glow red with heat vision as her team and Arrow's team readied their weapons and positions. But then, a voice appeared from the intercom of Slabside.
"Attention inmates; this is Vigilante! Great news, early parole for every inmate if they can get me the heads of the Arrow and his team, along with the head of Kara Danvers and her sister and friends! The voice announced, revealing to be Vincent Sobel; Vigilante, as he pressed a button which released all inmates out of their cells and every inmate began to surround the heroes.
"I recommend we put our differences aside for this, Kara." Arrow said, as he now notched a regular arrow at one of the inmates surrounding him and the others.
"For now…" Supergirl agreed, deciding to put their quarrel aside.
Arrow, Arsenal, and Speedy engaged Merlyn, Brick, and Cupid, while the three Canaries and Nyssa engaged against China White, Damien Darhk, Talia, and Diaz. While everyone else engaged the strong and dangerous criminals and metahumans.
Seeing that Artemis was about to kill an inmate, Black Canary intervened by throwing one of her tonfas at the arrow Artemis notched.
"NO! No killing!" Black Canary reprimanded.
"Ugh! Whatever…!" Artemis rolled her eyes, and got back to fighting the inmates.
"Kara fought against Tony Woodard, Girder, and Ramsey Rosso, Bloodwork. She made a crater during the fight, and while Thea, Roy, and Emiko fought against China White, Merlyn, and Cutter, they fell into the sub-level of Slabside. Thea engaged Malcolm, while Roy took on Cutter and Emiko fought China White." Black Canary's voiceover said, as she began to sob. Arrow then hugged her to show comfort.
"I saw that Emiko was about to kill China White, and it was at that moment I went to intervene..." Speedy's voiceover solemnly said, as her voice began to crack and tears began to glisten her eyes.
Speedy saw that Red Arrow was about to kill a now unconscious China White with her sword, but she stopped her and was able to block the sword with her bow in time.
"Emiko, stop this! The Red Arrow does NOT kill! Especially after our enemies are incapacitated!" Speedy pleaded to her half-sister.
"Last I checked, neither you nor Harper are Red Arrow, so STAY OUT OF MY WAY!" Red Arrow yelled as she pushed Speedy away.
"No!" Speedy said, as she got back up and stood her ground.
"Then so be it…!"
The two half-sisters then readied their swords and stood their positions, and in an instant, Red Arrow and Speedy charged at each other and clashed their swords.
Although Speedy may have been trained by Merlyn, Red Arrow was trained by Dante and the Ninth Circle, and after a while; Red Arrow began to gain the upper hand and she finally defeated her half-sister and was about to drive her sword through her chest, but not before sneering: "Tell our father I said 'Hello'!"
"But then… it happened…!"
Arsenal saw the entire fight and he had to stop Red Arrow before she could kill Speedy. "THEA!" So Arsenal moved quickly into Red Arrow's path to save his girlfriend, and he succeeded in saving her… but at the cost of his own life.
"NOO!"
Red Arrow's sword was driven through Arsenal's chest, and he only looked at Speedy as tears streamed down his face and coughed blood. Red Arrow and Speedy both stared in disbelief and shock as Red Arrow removed her sword from Arsenal, inadvertently killing him.
"What did you do…?! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Speedy demanded as she looked at Red Arrow's sword, drenched in Arsenal's blood. Red Arrow, who was staring at Arsenal's body, was shocked and horrified at her actions; she dropped her sword and was unaware of Speedy's hateful glare towards her.
"DAMN YOU!" Speedy snarled, as she charged at Red Arrow and began to pummel her.
Arrow, Black Canary, Flash, and everyone else heard of the fighting between the half-sisters, so Supergirl pounded the ground and everyone was pushed back in a shockwave.
"BACK TO YOUR CELLS! NOW!" Supergirl ordered every inmate as they scrambled back to their cells, fearing the consequences if they didn't listen to Supergirl. Arrow and everyone else rushed to see the commotion and they watched in horror to see Arsenal's body lying dead on the ground, and Speedy beating Red Arrow to a pulp.
"Oh No…!" Arrow and the Sisters immediately rushed to pull Speedy away from Red Arrow.
"THEA! STOP!" Arrow shouted, as he Black Canary and White Canary restrained Speedy.
Arrow, Supergirl, and everyone else saw that Red Arrow's sword, which was on the ground, contained blood; and they were all shocked to realize that it was Arsenal's.
"Emiko, what have you done…?! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Arrow angrily demanded as he glared at Red Arrow.
"Brother, please…" Red Arrow began to plead, but she was knocked out cold by a hard punch to the face from White Canary.
"AND STAY THE HELL DOWN!" Speedy snarled as tears streamed down her face, glaring hatefully at Red Arrow.
Arrow, Black Canary, and Speedy looked at Arsenal's body in shock, horror, and sadness; as the latter dropped down to her knees and slowly closed his eyes. Speedy then gave Arsenal one last kiss as she cradled him close and cried, while Supergirl (who was having flashbacks about losing Barry in this similar situation) saw this and was saddened as she went to comfort the former by wrapping her in a hug.
Arrow and Black Canary had tears streaming down their faces as they comforted each other, while Spartan, Atom, Flash, Vibe, Frost, Sentinel, Valor, Martian Manhunter, Artemis, Black Siren, Wild Dog, Mr. Terrific, Nyssa, and Superman bowed their heads in silent mourning. Batwoman bowed her head, as well.
Arrow and Supergirl looked at each other and nodded in agreement on what to do next and hold a truce for now. Arrow went next to his sister as she continued to sob on Arsenal's chest.
"Speedy, c'mon. Let's go home." Arrow placed his hand on Speedy's shoulder, comforting her.
"I'm not leaving him!" Speedy sobbed, not wanting to leave Arsenal's side.
"Thea…" Black Canary said.
"Okay." Speedy gave in.
White Canary and Black Canary helped Speedy up on her feet, since her legs were feeling wobbly, while Arrow lifted Arsenal's body in his arms.
"I'm sorry, Roy… Forgive me, brother…"
Arrow, Black Canary, White Canary, Flash, Vibe, Frost, Atom, Sentinel, Valor, Martian Manhunter, and Nyssa began to leave the Slabside; with some Slabside inmates and Supergirl's team made a path to let Arrow and his team through, but Arrow felt a tug on his arm. It was Red Arrow.
"Brother, please… I didn't mean to… I'm…!" Red Arrow pleaded, but was cut off.
"NO! Arrow barked, with everyone, including Batwoman and Red Arrow, flinching from his anger before regaining control. "I thought I could redeem you… but I was wrong! You are NOT my sister, not anymore!" Arrow sneered, glaring at his now-disowned half-sister, and walked away. Red Arrow then looked down in shame, guilt, anger, and hatred, with Batwoman comforting her.
End Flashback:
For the first time in years ever since losing her father, her half-brother, Tommy, her mother, and Arsenal; Speedy allowed herself to cry as she fell to his knees and sobbed. Black Canary and Arrow immediately ran to Speedy and hugged her as the former cried as well, as they all silently grieved for their fallen friends. With Thea and Roy holding each other to remind themselves that the latter is still here, and that they weren't going to let anything happen to him.
"I am truly sorry for your losses. Do you need a minute to…?" J'onn asked.
"I haven't cried in a long time, but I needed to let it all out. I'll manage, J'onn, but thank you for your concern." Speedy sniffled, thanking the Martian for his kindness as she wiped her tears from her face.
"But why did you pull us over? We were already in an extreme pickle back on our Earth." Ralph asked, wanting to know why the Insurgency pulled the Earth Prime Heroes over.
"You mean the nuclear bomb that Prometheus planted on your Earth's Star City? It didn't go off." Lockwood revealed, to the relief of the Earth-Prime Heroes and confusion.
"How do you know about that?" J'onn asked, a question pointed towards the Insurgent Commander.
"We've been monitoring your Earth for quite some time, your six particularly." Arrow confirmed as he looked at Ray, James, Roy Harper, Alex Danvers, J'onn J'onzz, and Ralph Dibney.
"And you're sure that Prometheus didn't detonate the bomb?" Alex asked.
I'm sure." Arrow confirmed.
Feeling hesitant at first, J'onn, Alex and the others eventually believed Arrow's words and decided to work alongside him.
"We'll help you. When do we get started?"
(Earth 13) The Fortress of Solitude:
At the Fortress of Solitude, the High Councilor, Overgirl walks down the halls to the Command Center to see the progress of her in-commands; Superman, Valor, and Olsen, .
"Kal, where are we with the patrol in National City?" Overgirl asked her second in command.
"Curfew started about an hour ago, and everyone seems to be resting. Although there were reports of a fight." Superman answered.
"We'll take a look at that soon. James, what information did we get from the Insurgency Spies?" Overgirl said.
"They both resisted all of the interrogation tactics and ignored all of my questions. They're strong, Kara." Olsen said.
"Strong people resist everything over time, James. They'll tell us everything eventually, but don't hurt them." Overgirl stated.
"Kara, are you ok? Valor asked, concerned for the High Councilor.
"I'm fine, why? Overgirl grunted, growing impatient.
"Because you look tired and your eyes have bags underneath them." Valor answered.
"Thank you for your concern, but I am fine." Overgirl glared at Valor.
"Are you sure? I mean, it has been five years since-" Valor was cut off by Overgirl punching him in the face, making Superman and Olsen flinch and take a step back.
"I HAVE TOLD YOU TO NEVER SPEAK OF HIS NAME, LET ALONE MENTION HIM!" Overgirl snapped at the Daxamite Captain, who was lying on the floor from getting punched.
"Apologies, High Councilor. I spoke out of turn, it will not happen again." Valor apologized, as he was being helped back up by Superman and Olsen.
"I hope so, Daxamite. For your sake…!" Overgirl warned, glaring at the Captain and unclenching her fists, as she retired to her personal office.
"You should've just shut your mouth, Valor. The High Councilor does not enjoy it when someone speaks about him." Olsen said.
"James is right, Mon-El, you shouldn't have said anything." Superman said, as he and Olsen left Valor behind in the hallway.
Valor stood in the hallway and asked himself if this was all worth it.

Batwoman will take Injustice Wonder Woman's place in this story, and Superman and Valor will eventually defect to the Insurgency

Earth Prime: Oliver (his Season 3 suit), Ray (no change in suit because I love Arrowverse version of Atom), Guardian (his armor from Season 2-6), Roy Harper (in his Arsenal suit), Alex (in her Sentinel outfit from Season 5-6), J'onn (his outfit from Post-Crisis), Thea Queen (in her Speedy outfit), and Ralph Dibney (obviously his main outfit from the show)
Insurgency: Arrow will be in his Season 1-2 suit (with grease paint), Insurgency White Canary will be in her Season 1-2 outfit (with the coat), Insurgency Frost will be in her Season 4 outfit, Insurgency Lockwood will be in his Agent Liberty from Season 4, Insurgency Sentinel will don her DEO Agent uniform, Speedy will wear her Season 8 outfit (with the scar on her face), Insurgency Flash (an upgraded version of his suit; all red with silver, with a hoodie attached to the suit and with Barry's yellow lighting bolt in as his symbol to honor his predecessor/mentor/foster brother), Insurgency Black Canary (she'll wear Dinah's suit from Seasons 6-8), and Insurgency Vibe (suit from ''The Once and Future Flash'' but without prosthetic hands).
Regime (The color patterns will be painted black, yellow, and red, with white stripes): High Councilor Overgirl will wear an amalgamation of her Earth X suit, combined with the Red Daughter suit, and her House of El symbol taking place in front of the suit instead, it will be dark blue and red, like Injustice's Superman Outfit. (Also, the outfit will like the one from Supergirl #21; where she goes to battle Rogol Zaar in Space.) Regime Superman will be in his black suit from Elseworlds (also Earth-TUD22 from Superman & Lois), Olsen's armor (Regime colors), Valor's outfits; the Legion outfit with Regime colors, and his Valor suit also in Regime colors.
