Going Once, Going Twice Sold!
Meanwhile, behind the scenes Danny was still wondering where Lindsay is. He starts to head to the other side of the backstage when the lights dim and the announcer starts the auction.
About 30 minutes into the auction, Danny hears his name being called out over the loud speaker. He casually strolls onto the stage and the female announcer speaks. "Ladies feast your eyes on this hunk of a man. This Staten Island man will show you things you have never imagined. Okay ladies, the bid starts at $100.
Danny looks around the room at all the gorgeous women. All these fine women, he thought. I can show one of these women a great time. Ladies pick me! Pick me!
A redhead in the back raised her paddle at $100. "Anybody have a higher bid." the announcer said. A brunette in the front row held up her paddle at the $200 mark. The bidding went on and on until they reached the $2000 mark. A tall blonde had bid $2000 and the announcer went to $2500.
Danny looked out into the crowd and spotted Lindsay. She coyly smiled and slowly raised her paddle in the air. His jaw dropped! That's where she was! Nobody else was bidding against her so the announcer called out: "Going once, going twice, sold! to the woman in the black dress."
Lindsay walked up on the stage and linked her arm thru Dannys. "You sneak!" Danny said, licking those lips of his."I can't believe I fell for it."
" I just couldn't let you get away." Lindsay said, smiling, "Now what do you have planned for me, cowboy."
